Advantages of Toshiba Printers in Hoyt Lakes and Aurora, MN
An office runs smoothly due to the united efforts put in by employees and the management. Human resources cannot tackle the workload without proper support from office equipment. While a small company may not be too interested in advanced equipment, the use of printers, scanners, and copiers cannot be argued with. Admittedly, many top brands are available for the end-user, but the big and small companies find the Toshiba printers in Hoyt Lakes and Aurora, MN, to be well-suited to their requirement.
The brand name of Toshiba evokes positive feelings due to its worldwide reputation. Toshiba is indeed a world leader in office equipment and office automation. With a wide variety to choose from and top-notch features associated with each model, the users are not inclined to change brands when looking for replacements either.
The companies find it effective to save space by opting for a multifunctional model that doubles up as a printer and copier at the same time. The features that are highly appreciated by the users include the following:-
· Universal print driver
· Image scanner
· Fax
· Control Panel Print Function Button
· Solutions Ready
· Gsm Support Through The Bypass
· Private Printing Feature

Toshiba products are usually laser printers that provide superior-quality prints, enabling the workforce to ensure reliability. Toshiba offers perfect products for office use, with smaller and lighter products suitable for a home office or single operator. Using the following is bound to make the tasks simpler and convenient too:
· USB- The end-user can have the printout ready in a jiffy by using the USB button. While the features seem simple, it is incredibly effective, especially when printing or copying a series of documents, including images, brochures, and accurate bank statements. The copies and printouts may be made from a range of devices such as PCs, smartphones, desktop computers, and tablets
· Eco-Friendly- the varied features of a Toshiba printer or copier have a reduced environmental impact. The toner-saving feature decreases energy consumption and costs at the same time. The eco-friendly option does not affect the quality of the prints or copies. Instead, one may be able to print the documents in vibrant colors when needed. Investing in a Toshiba product can thus be the best option for advertisers and media companies that require eye-catching illustrations regularly to convince the target audience
· Information Sharing- Being able to share information instantly and readily is the forte of the Toshiba printer, too. The ability of the device to print out the required number of copies within seconds can help the entire team remain well aware of the target and requirement.
One may also save enormous time by requesting maintenance support from the dealer when buying/leasing Toshiba printers in Hoyt Lakes and Aurora, MN.

"Hoyt? Is everything alright?"
It's been a while since I and Zinnya heard the noises from his room. I took my time to get ready and come out of the room compared to her; with some meditation, my oracular curse is also back in control, with just some minor fatigue and excessive glowing from my body. The waving of my skirt and hair all around me could easily be mistaken as flowing movements because of the water. After all, that's also what made it show so much less when I was younger, in the lake. But, above all, now I can swim normally without the collateral flaw of risking to float up because of my lighter weight. And now that I'm fully ready, before going out, I decide to knock on our assassin's door.
"Uh... yes. Much better than an hour ago, thank you. The loss of the book had me shaken, to say the least."
"May I come in?"
I only spend few minutes with him. He seems to be back to his usual demeanor, already busy with some kind of reverse engineering project. "I don't know how long it will take, but we're going to need stronger potions to sustain ourselves from now on."
"Are you equipped with everything you need for it?"
"Yes, don't worry about it."
"Well, in that case... have a good work and afternoon! I will be back soon, and if you need anything, knock on the door." I already know he won't, but I won't let him forget he's got my support. With that said, I swim outside of his room and close the door behind me, then head directly out to the orphanage nearby.
When we first saw the big building, cut in half by the current that divides the freshwater side of Outsea from the saltwater one, it was heavily guarded and impossible to approach. After we spoke to Cila and found her completely favorable to my cause, we also had permission to swim in and meet the little inhabitants of the place. One of them is called Onimia: she's one of the two survivors who came from the Lake of Mists and Veils mere days ago and escaped the clutches of the Vitalia. Lidya, her younger sister, prefers to roam freely through the freshwater area and we never had a chance to find her; but I had quite a few occasions to approach the older one. When I find her, she rushes to me.
Rumors about the fight with Roktor had already spread around the city - that was much quicker than I expected. Even the kids seem to know; and Onimia isn't naive nor blind, and the marks on my body speak very clearly. "I heard someone even died..." she murmurs with tears in her big, golden eyes. Ouch. How could I be so reckless. She just lost her caretaker, the man that carried her and Lydia to safety here in Outsea, and I was about to prolong her nightmare. I hug her tight to it, stroking her hair and letting her lean on me, trying to transmit her as much calmness as I can manage despite the little stab.
"Don't worry, little one... it is true, there was a fight, but everything went fine in the end and even the one who died managed to get back to life. I told you, I came here with my friends to ask help for our lake. And we did it! Outsea will help us defeat that monster, and you won't have to worry about such danger ever again when you come back home."
She seems relieved to the words, but also holds me tighter. "I don't want to go back there if it's dangerous. I very much prefer it here." I chuckle to that. "Of course!"
I cautiously shift the conversation to other topics, and I also catch the chance to inform her about our early departure. "We will have to leave for a while, but when the time comes we will all be back, and I'll come right back to visit you." Around half an hour flows by like it's nothing, and I find myself quite at ease. I grew up in a similar structure as well, and I feel pretty comfortable around the young ones... it kind of feels like home.
But unfortunately, I cannot afford much more time out. With the adrenaline dropping, I'm starting to feel the exhaustion on my body pretty clearly. So at some point I let her go to spend more time with the other kids, and I move on to my next destination, the Fountain, again.
~ ☆ ~ ☆
When I reach the Fountain, Opak is still working to fix the mess Roktor caused. I approach him carefully, watching over his doing and fidgeting with my hands a little before greeting him again. "Am I disturbing you?" But he simply stops for now, and I have his attention. It is actually him catching the chance to apologize to me as well for what happened.
"For what importance it may hold or not... I am sorry I couldn't intervene through the fight. I couldn't convince Roktor to back off when he challenged you, and I couldn't do anything but call the others when things got bad. I'm not as strong as some of the other Generals; and yet, what I did couldn't be enough."
"It's fine... I don't hold any grudge against you, and I know you were watching over us while we were fighting. I saw you cast. You could have just turned to the other way. Besides, I know fighting isn't your calling; mine brought me on this path, and I am aware of its risks."
"It is certainly different, yes. Mine is a quiet calling, while yours... not so much. But each one of us has their own."
"Speaking about it, I actually have come with a request specifically for you." I stop and make myself small in my shoulders while I wait for an answer, then I raise my eyes and see him nodding, listening. I sigh and take off my pirate hat. I retrieve the little blue flag pin that has us recognized as Heroes of Deadbridge under the rule of the new Blue Marquis, then I turn it in my hands...
"You see... this is not the first time I risk to not open my eyes again, and dying a second time really put things in perspective, more than before. I... want to pay respect to the people that fell in the lake, with the little I have left of them to be remembered with." I look up at him again, melancholy and regret in my eyes. "When I found this hat, I was exploring a shipwreck with a friend of mine, one that just recently fell near my town. We found personal belongings and clothes intact, but we found no bodies nearby, and we were naive enough to not ask ourselves why. Now I know that these people from the surface died to the Vitalia as well, and who knows how many more. So I want to leave you this hat, to remember the ones from the surface..."
"This spear, which belonged to the same fighter that wore this armor I have, for the fallen from Jaha..."
"And some of these seashells, for the rest of the people from the whole Lake."
I hold the symbols I just named close to me, waiting for an answer, and I see him narrowing his eyes. I give a sad smile. "I don't know if you can do anything at all with these, but they're all I have..."
"This is not how I usually work, but it doesn't cost me anything. I'll do what I can."
I sigh in relief and hand him over some of the belongings I was most attached to. I am sad to leave them behind, but it's for the best. Many more people need to remember those people, not just me. Many more must know... they shall not be gone with me, if things come to worst again. I can't help to keep acting for that purpose. I need to be ready for whatever comes next, and I keep repeating it to myself: I have to be ready.
"Thank you so." I hold my arms with the hands, and the grip gets tight a few moments later, as my thoughts flow out in words. "I don't want them to be forgotten, going to the other side is... well..." I take a moment, trying to find the right way to continue. "You know, I was even called an anomaly by someone there..."
"I can understand why, at least from my point of view." I'm surprised by such a prompt response and refrain from continuing, blinking my eyes and tilting the head in surprise. He takes a breath and continues, accompanying the speech with his free arm. "As I was saying, I'm not that strong, and I don't know any mean to bring people back to life. Your friends asked me if I could do anything about it, so I suppose they're also unaware; and even if Cila is a very powerful priestess, I'm pretty sure she's also unprovided of solutions to something as drastic as death. And yet, somehow, here you are. You opened your eyes again, after I saw you being eaten by Roktor with my eyes. Of course, this makes you an anomaly."
"Well... yes, of course it makes sense..." I glance at the bright diamonds at the center of the Fountain. I recall Pharasma's words again, about how this gift is something so rarely allowed. There are so many questions left unanswered... but I can't bring myself to talk about them with Opak, not anymore. This is going to be enough. Soon after, I part ways with him, and he recommends to be careful this time, and to have a safe trip.
I find myself alone in my room, finally able to rest a little. I can't sleep though; my mind keeps wandering through the enormous amount of events I just went through in so little time. I focus so much on the place where I supposedly spoke to the brothers, and I can't help but assume that this placr and the sphere I saw being filled with Black Tears where I met Arshea the last time are somehow connected. I keep focusing on it... ans at some point, I get a vision that lasts for just few seconds.
I'm standing on a long road of blue and violet hues, large and dotted in white, which runs to the horizon. On its sides, many other thinner paths branch and proceed straight ahead in their directions: the first one on my left is white, and the others all follow similarly light hues; the first one on my right is black, and it opens a similar series of parallel dark lines. No one walks with me, and I can't turn back. I can't help but wonder what it means...

Can I plz get a child reader?
A child reader with undiagnosed autism x multi slasher/whatever you want to write fandom
YESSS OFFFCCC!!!! I only added slashers that would be great with kids!
I also had to search up about undiagnosed autism, so this was maybe or not accurate, so I'm really sorry about that!! Also your age would be 6 or 7 or whichever you want! Also, this was kind of off topic for some of these characters, so I hope it's okay!
Slashers: Carrie, Hewitts & Sawyers (Mama Luda, Hoyt, Monty, Thomas, Drayton, Nubbins, Chop-Top, & Bubba), Jason, Hannibal & Will, Sinclair Brothers (Bo, Vincent, & Lester), Norman, & Chucky & Tiffany!!
Slashers w/ a child reader that has undiagnosed autism!
Carrie:
Carrie understands what stuff you hate and what stuff you love/like! She looks out for you while you play on the playground, and she knows now that you don't like to socialize and you would rather play by yourself.
Carrie knew that you hated loud things or sounds, because you would cover your ears from those noises. Sometimes Carrie would call out your name, and you wouldn't respond to her so she'll rub your back or lightly tap your back. Carrie would then walk to the kitchen with you and make your favorite food!
Hewitt family & Sawyer family:
Living with a cannibal family is sometimes scary for you and okay. Most times the whole family is busy doing their own things, and sometimes they'll argue about things.. Mama Luda knows that you cover your ears if someone is too loud, so she'll make everyone shut up, or she'll hit every single one of them (She did it a few times with her wooden broom, which left red marks on some of them 💀.)
Except for Thomas and Bubba, these two would try and make you laugh or happy! Nubbins and Chop-top would mostly likely bother you, because apparently these two have nothing else to do, and just bother you without a care in the world. You'll sometimes be with Monty and his little dog, just only petting the dog if you're bored or playing with his little dog too! You'll thank Drayton for cooking his delicious chili every time he cooks it! Hoyt is something else, he'll yell at you for this and that has never even done before. Until, Mama Luda will start beating him and make him do something else instead of screaming at you. You love hanging out with Mama Luda, because she loves to give you hugs and kisses on the cheeks and forehead!
Jason:
Jason would see you do stuff repeatedly with your hands or spinning around in circles, etc. Jason would try and calm you down with your meltdowns, he'll try hugging you, making your favorite food, or reading your favorite book to you! When it's camping day at camp crystal lake, Jason would always keep a look out of where you are. Jason would see that you don't really interact with people, just small talks here and there but nothing more than that. Jason is not worried about that at all with you not socializing with other kids your age or people that are older than you!
Jason gets really worried that you don't answer him, like you're staring at him while he's signing your name, so Jason would tap on you gently to see if your trance would stop. It did and you would kinda see Jason crying, because of how close he is and he would give you a big hug, while you will hear sniffles from him. Jason also knows what things and/or food that you love and what you hate!
Hannibal & Will:
Hannibal and Will know about the undiagnosed autism you have! Hannibal has seen your reactions with different types of smell and even food too! Will also see that you would avoid eye contact when Will would ask you things! So, these two would try and do things to help with your undiagnosed autism! For example, Will would buy you coloring pages and water color pages too! Hannibal would try and find you other calming activities, like toys that aren't loud for your ears or toys that can be really boring over time!
Hannibal and Will have put you homeschooled, because they have a feeling that if you are in a public school with your last name being the same as Hannibal's and if the FBI would find out about you, they'll take you away which they wouldn't want at all. There's been some difficulties with you not responding to your name, Will or Hannibal would tap you softly and make you do something else and would do the work later for your undiagnosed autism! Hannibal and Will would soothe you from your meltdowns you would have and make you a warm cup of tea that is great for your taste buds!
Sinclair Brothers:
You would always hangout with Vincent, because it's quiet and you love seeing Vincent do his work! (Vincent would make a spinning circle with his index finger, to tell you to turn your whole body around, because some of his work is not for you to see.) You love hanging out with Lester and Jonesy, because Lester would always try and make you laugh whenever you feel down, or Jonesy licking your face which also makes you laugh too! You still kinda think Bo is scary, but Bo would try and get things from people that are interesting or something in the house they owned when they were little.
Bo would give you Vincent's coloring pages with coloring stuff he has found in their toy boxes! He would also give you toys that are interesting for you too! So, little by little time hanging out with Bo, you would sometimes go with him and people would try and kidnap you even though they're trying to get you out of that scary place. Until, Bo would hunt them down with your cries screaming for Bo to help you from them. All three brothers would try and make time to play board games with you, or cook food for you too!
Norman:
Norman knows a lot of things about undiagnosed autism! He has a book or two that's about autism and other stuff too! So, Norman would examine what food you hate and food that you love to eat! Also, smells that would make you go into the other room. Norman would buy toys or things that are calming for you and that you wouldn't get bored while Norman is working!
Norman sometimes calls out your name for something or to eat, and he would see that you aren't reacting to your name being called. So, he would tap on you gently to come do some stuff or eat! Norman would also soothe you from your meltdowns that you have, he would hug you for a little bit until you feel better, or do things that you love!
Chucky & Tiffany:
Chucky and Tiffany would try anything to calm you down from your meltdowns! They would make you laugh, or do something that you love! Tiffany would give you kisses on your cheeks and/or forehead, she'll also give you a hug if you want hugs too! You would smile at Chucky to see if he smiles at you too, and Chucky will give his smile, because he sees people not smiling back at you which makes you not look at them until they smile at you!
Tiffany knows what food you love and hate, even smells too! She would always tell her husband what things to buy for you and other stuff too! If you're eating a snack at the table, Tiffany and Chucky would always sit with you and talk with you so that you wouldn't have a sad face! Chucky and Tiffany would always make time for you, and take you out somewhere instead of you staying in the house! They would take you to a fun place and a restaurant that you'll definitely love!

old ties, new beginnings [ch.2]
Thomas Hewitt x f!reader: ch1 // ch3
TLDR: By chance, Thomas encounters someone from his past and gets to be treated like a normal guy for an afternoon–except he doesn't want the treatment to stop. [pt.2]
WORD COUNT: 1.9k
CW: mention of past trauma/abuse, slight nudity

“I’m really glad you remember me...”
She was sitting with her legs sprawled out in front of her while she leaned back onto her hands, staring out over the lake-top as the warm breeze gently weaved through her hair. The lake was practically still, save for a few ducks that had flown down; she watched as they preened their feathers and dove for fish.
Thomas gave a low hum to let her know he had heard her; he was sitting cross-legged a meter or so behind her, pulling at the grass around him. The ever looming thought of what he’d have to do made him nervous. A part of him hoped you’d excuse yourself right now and leave; Hoyt would find you—take you back to the house and you’d just be cattle again. It would be easier that way. He could put on his face and you’d never know it was him…your dying thoughts wouldn’t be hate for him. The image of you dying caused a pain in his chest; the pain only worsened when the thought of you calling out for him, begging him to save you flooded his mind. Would your final words be his name on your tongue? To his horror, the idea excited him. You had been nothing but compassionate towards him–a beacon of warmth when all anyone else had done was treat him like an animal, a beast. And here he was, daydreaming about slaughtering you.
With a slight groan you pulled your stiff legs to your chest, snuggly wrapping your arms around them with a satisfied purr. His shirt rode up your thighs and rested around your hips, slightly exposing your bottom; with a grunt he darted his eyes away from your flesh. He didn’t deserve to look at you in such a way–not when he was going to be the one to wipe you from this earth. His fists clenched at the dead grass as the situation weighed on him; he didn’t want to do it. He really didn’t. He wanted to stay in this moment forever–wanted to live in a time where you wanted his company, content to sit in his presence without fear or judgment. In this moment you were alive. Alive with him.
He looked to the sky, to whatever god Mama had long since given up on getting him to pray to, for an answer. No one else had ever done the things you had done and it had to mean something. It had to.
It had been him to stumble upon you, no one else, like you were a gift left by the heavens waiting just for him. His. Straightening his back and releasing his grip on the grass, the thought dawned on him. You could be his. Everyone else seemed to have their own company–be it sisters, pets, or working girls–so why couldn’t he? He could be good to you: he would treat you much better than a pet and substantially better than the way Hoyt treated his guests.
He’d take care of all your needs–you’d be his responsibility, he was the one inaugurating you after all. You’d be well fed, he wouldn’t rest until you had a full stomach every night; you’d never get bored, sitting in with Mama and his aunt on their lunchins or more realistically tending to your own chores around the homestead; and though he, himself, didn’t really care for bathing, he figured a respectable woman such as yourself would, so he’d make sure you had every opportunity to stay clean; the house had many rooms but most of them were filled with clutter so you’d have to wait a bit before getting your own room. He pondered for a moment, thinking about what room would suit you best; he liked the idea of you having one of the rooms with the fancy windows that Mama once cherished. In the meantime, you’d have to stay in his room…have to share a bed with him too. His fingers twitched at the thought of sleeping next to you. He had to physically shake his head, when the thought of you waiting-up for him at night after a hard day's work–unable to sleep without him crept into his head; he couldn’t get distracted by such thoughts, there was still so much left to work-out.
You had sealed your fate upon entering the town’s border; in his heart-of-hearts, Thomas knew this was the only way to keep you alive and that’s all he wanted; that’s all that mattered. You’d definitely need some adjusting to their way of life–you were a saint but he knew not even you could understand right away why they needed to do the things they did, but you could learn. He’d keep you alive–even if it killed you.
The sound of a sniffle pulled him from his plotting.
You had hidden your face in the crook of your arms that now rested atop your knees, while he had thought out his plan. Oh no. What had he done? Did you finally realize how disgusting he was and were mortified to be with him? Had you said something personal and he had ignored you–too caught up in his own world? How could he be so selfish! He let out a whine as his thoughts ran wild with possibilities of what he could’ve done to upset you. It felt as though his very world was crumbling around him–keeping you needed the foundation of you not despising him.
“I’m sorry…” you huffed out, raising your head to wipe at your eyes, “I’m just…I’m sorry!” The tears began flowing freely despite your efforts to contain them. You felt pathetic for crying, you had nothing to cry about when it was Thomas who had been the victim.
“They were so c-cruel to you-ou,” you hiccuped through sobs, “and I did noth-hing!”
For years you had watched as they had treated him less-than the dirt beneath their feet and you had been too much of a coward to even defend him. To even console him. Having only been a child did little to console you: even at such a young age, you knew what they were doing was wrong and you still chose to turn a blind eye. You were no better than any of the other children who had run away from him or the townspeople who had mistreated him; you knew you deserved whatever punishment they had coming. Had he not only been just a child, as well? How was it fair for him to be treated like a walking-disease, merely for being different, while other children got to live normal lives at no cost at all. It was maddening and the guilt for not having done anything to prevent his abuse or ease it was tearing you apart.
“Oh Thomas, I’m so sorry! You didn’t deserve-”
The words died in your throat as the sound of settling grass alerted you of his presence. He was kneeling next to you now, holding out an uncertain hand mere centimeters away from your face. His hand was formed as though he was intending to cup your face but wanted permission. His stormy eyes couldn’t keep yours as he shifted his gaze around nervously. How could he be so considerate towards you? He should hate your very being. You wanted to turn your head away from him, you didn't deserve his comfort. He should just leave you to rot! But you couldn’t bring yourself to pull away; choking back a sob, you leaned into his touch–allowing him to bring you solace. He wasted no time in sweeping your guilty tears away with the pad of his thumb and gently massaging at your temple. His tender care only made you want to cry more.
Thomas couldn’t help but admire how bewitching you looked while you cried softly against his hand: wet eyelashes pressed against puffy-flushed cheeks and cherry-red lips turned into a soft pout. And when your eyes opened, to peer into his own–he hated to think it but you truly did look pitiful. Looking up at him like he was the only thing that could soothe your pain. The tight feeling in his chest returned. He didn’t care about the past, or rather he didn’t care about what you didn’t do in the past. He knew what you did do and that was enough for him. Everyone else’s actions had nothing to do with you so how could he fault you, the only person to ever treat him like he was worthy of some human decency? He had grown accustomed to the insults and the physical tormenting stopped when he hit his growth spurt; those that continued to pester him after which were no more significant than gnats buzzing in his ear. Even now when unruly cattle would hurl insults at him, he knew it was all meaningless. At the end of the day they were still just that–cattle. To Thomas, you had done nothing wrong and there was no need for you to apologize–it only crushed him to see you so distraught over something you had no control over.
Overcome with emotion, he leaned closer to you and let out a whine into your hair.
The unexpected proximity was startling, Thomas had all but engulfed you into himself. Though you didn’t mind. He was warm and smelled of musk and something else you couldn’t quite place–it was almost metallic. The smell was comforting nonetheless. You leaned into him–absent mindlessly closing the small gap in between you–grazing your nose just under where his mask met his skin, trying to figure out what that smell was. The sudden contact must have startled Thomas as you felt him tense around you, but he made no move to remove himself from you.
“Is this ok?” you breathed out, not wanting to take advantage of his goodwill. You could feel the rumble in his throat and his hair tickle your face as he gave a singular-short nod.
With your new allowance, you leaned fully into him: tucking your arms in between you as you grasped at his stained-shirt, burrowing your face against his neck to ride out the remainder of your tears.
“I really am sorry…” you muttered against his skin, you could feel him shiver but you couldn’t bring yourself to move away. He was warm and the skin-contact was soothing. His breathing was heavy and you could feel another rumble pass through his throat as he just barely grazed against the now-dry shirt on your back–giving you time to push him away–before settling against you. You could feel as he moved to lean his own head against yours, his warm breath showered against your ear. You stifled another sob against him with a whine, this awkward side hug was far more than you deserved.
A fire burned in Thomas’s chest as he clutched you closer to himself. In this moment, with this small act, you had proven to him that he was correct: you were different and there was no doubt about it–you being brought back to him was so that he could make you his. And he would be damned if anyone tried to take you away from him.
The sun felt warm against your skin and the heat that Thomas expelled only heightened it, your earlier swimming and recent crying fit had finally worn you out. Your eyes fought against the pull of sleep, but ultimately the rise and fall of Thomas's chest against you lulled you into the unconscious abyss.

---
You've run away from home, hitchhiking around Texas as you come up with your next plan, only to find that life has plans of its own when a simple ride with a group of friends lands you at a lone gas station in Travis County, drawn to a mysterious man most seem to avoid.
---
There isn't much left to do, considering you got most of the prep done earlier in the day, so the only real thing left to do is cook the meat and make the broth.
She takes the lead, putting the meat on to cook and having you grind it down and stir it as she adds several seasonings and the onions to the much too large pot.
It's obvious she's comfortable in the kitchen, confident in her choices with no second guesses, each ingredient she adds done with a precision and assuredness that tells you she's spent most of her life in the kitchen.
She cooks the meat down to a simmer before she begins to add in the broth, carefully working the stew together as you lean on the counter next to the big bowl of vegetables you previously cut.
"...Where'd you learn this recipe?" You ask, watching her work and waiting for your next task to be given.
"My grandmama taught me long time ago, when I was much younger than you." She explains, stirring the broth as she gestures for the bowl of vegetables, "She taught me most of everythin' I know."
You hand her the bowl, "Sounds like a nice lady."
"She was." Luda Mae sighs, adding the vegetables into the pot, "Grab me the cornstartch from that cabinet there."
You go to the cabinet she points to and grab the cornstarch, handing it to her. She drops some in a bowl, adding a bit of water to it, mixing it until it's thick.
"...My Mama never taught me much of anything." You confess, though you're not entirely sure why, "I never knew my grandmama either..."
"My Mama didn't teach me nothin' either." Luda Mae shakes her head, adding a bit of the slurry to the pot, "Didn't care much to."
"I'm guessing she wasn't as nice as your grandmama?"
"She was meaner than a junkyard dog, ran off one day when I was a teenager and I never saw her again. My grandmama always told me she drowned, but I was never too sure if that was literal or not."
"What do you mean?"
Luda Mae sighs again, stirring the large pot, "I can't remember a time she loved her children more than her liqour. She was sooner to have a bottle of whiskey in hand than touch a bottle of milk."
You cross your arms, eyes focused on the pot, "...I can understand what that's like."
You don't say much else after that, idly standing by and helping when she needed it, watching her work and making small comments every now and again.
It doesn't take long for the sound of a car pulling in the driveway to drive you upstairs, back in the solitude of the barren bedroom.
You can hear Hoyt come in hollering for help with carrying the groceries in, the previously quiet house now filled with noise and life.
You sit on the floor again, sighing in relief at the feeling of clean clothes on clean skin, your hair still damp from your shower earlier.
There wasn't a feeling quite like it, and you forgot how amazing it was after going almost two months with one or two half washes in lakes and creeks.
You stand up after a moment, brushing off your legs and shorts, before pulling the covers back on the bed. You cringe, seeing the dirt and grime you left the previous night, not wanting to sleep in it now that you were finally clean. You look around for a moment, spotting the extra blanket Thomas had left on the dresser.
You pull the blanket off completely now, tossing it to the bedroom door, letting it pile against the floor. You grab the fresh blanket, hesitating when you see how dirty the sheets still were.
You hang the blanket on the bedframe, deciding to search the closet to see if Thomas had any extra sheets in his closet.
It wasn't a big closet by any means, with a few clean, never before stained clothes hanging up. You spot the clean, light blue sheets on the top shelf, just barely out of reach.
You stand on your toes, reaching as high as you can, grabbing the edge and pulling. The sheets come tumbling down, knocking against the clothes as you barely catch them.
You hesitate, wondering if you made too much noise, but quickly realize Hoyt was being much too loud below you to notice any noise you made.
You shut the closet door, setting the now messily folded sheets on the dresser before pulling the old ones off the bed. You set them beside the bedroom door with the blanket, opting just to flip your pillowcase inside out since you didn't find any of those.
You spend way too long trying to make the bed, each corner of the fitted sheet fighting against you as you try not to let the bedframe bang against any of the walls.
You drop on the bed when you finish, groaning into the pillow out of pure frustration. Sure, being homeless you could handle, but making a bed? That was apparently out of your skill set.
After a few moments of self pity, you shut off the main light in favor of the floor lamp beside the bed, crawling under the covers and curling into your corner of the bed, continuing to read your book.
It's a couple hours before Thomas comes up, the sun just starting to set as he makes his way in.
You look up from your book, seeing he's already taken the liberty to change into his pajamas.
"Hi." You watch as he sits on the bed, taking notice of the new sheets, "I hope you don't mind, I found them in the closet."
He shakes his head, rubbing his hand over the cotton fabric before climbing under the covers nexts to you.
He looks over, seeing you have the same, old book sitting open in your lap, your hand resting on one of the pages to hold your place.
He reaches over, tapping against the side with a questioning look.
"My book?" You ask, blinking a couple of times before closing it and handing it over to him, "Go ahead, I've read it a million times."
He hesitates, carefully looking over the faded cover, running his calloused fingers over the worn spine in such a gentle manner you'd think he was handling something meaningful.
You rest your head on your knees, watching as he nervously opens the book with the same cautiousness one might treat a wild animal.
His eyebrows furrow as starts to read, finger slowly running under each word slowly and carefully, and you can see the confusion in his brown eyes as he struggles.
You watch him try and reread the same sentence three times before reaching a hand out, gently resting on his wrist, "...Are you having trouble reading?"
He sighs, setting the book down with a shameful nod, too embarrassed to meet your gaze.
"Hey, that's okay. A lot of people can't read all that well, no worries," You carefully pull the book from his grasp, moving closer to his side, "Here, I'll read it to you."
He's caught off guard by your sudden offer, but makes no move to stop you.
You open the book, setting it down so half rests on his leg and the other on yours, your finger tracing under the words as you begin to read.
His eyes follow along carefully, sometimes stopping you to tap at a word when he doesn't know it's meaning, your voice calming as he listens carefully.
By the end of the first chapter, he's relaxed against your side, head resting on your shoulder as you read each word carefully, doing your best to bring the story to life.
You're not sure how long the two of you stay awake, reading the book with the company of the crickets and the moonlight, but the silence of the first floor slowly creeping through the floorboards tells you everyone has gone to bed, and the height of the moon warns you the late hours will soon become early.
You fail to hold back another yawn, blinking wearily as you continue reading, the words beginning to blend together on the worn pages.
You don't particulary remember falling asleep, but the next thing you're consiously aware of is the soft light of the rising sun peaking through the window.
You can feel the bed shift as you groan, curling in on yourself and burying yourself deeper into the warmth of the bed, not ready to face the world quite yet.
You feel yourself begin to drift this time, your mind swirling with the chaotic nonsense of a half-asleep brain trying to dream.
The images dart around, blurry and fast as you try to balance yourself in an unreal situation.
It's dizzying, the heat of your lungs burning a hole through your chest, choking on the air you needed to breathe.
The humidity cages you in, the space around you closing in, your own skin too tight against your body as all too familiar, blood curdling screams swallow any sense of sanity you're supposed to have.
“No, no, please, let us go!”
“God, why me? Why us, God, why–”
“Please, please, let me go, please-”
The bed is hot when you wake, choking on your own air as you sit up, covering your mouth to quiet your coughs.
Your eyes are wide as you stare ahead, keeping your mouth covered through the deep breaths you're taking.
A buzz rests deep in your bones, your mind vibrating with a dissociative tune, and it takes you a few minutes to remember you're actually real.
You let out a shaky sigh, rubbing your face as you regain control of yourself, the nightmare already mostly forgotten as your mind continues waking up.
The sun rests high in the sky, beating down on you through the dusty glass of the window, letting the feeling of the suffocating heat sting your skin.
You take another deep breath, finally registering the sound of voices carrying through the house as you let your head hang in your hands.
The faint smell of an already cooked breakfast tells you it's still morning, but the height of the sun gives way that it's later, perhaps almost noon.
You crawl to the edge of the bed, taking a seat as the hazy fog in your mind begins to clear.
Hoyt's voice still carries through the house, telling you that you'd be stuck in the bedroom for a while longer.
It's strange, hiding from a man in his own home, but Thomas keeps you hidden from him for a reason, and that's enough to keep your footsteps quiet as you stand to make the bed, the shake in your limbs slowly fading away as the panic subsides.
You're not sure if it's the remanents of the forgotten nightmare or the anxiety of being almost trapped in this home, but you can't seem to stop your mind from running wild as you pull the blanket back.
What happens when Hoyt finds out?
That question leads nothing but more anxiety and contemplation, making your head spin.
How long do you plan to stay here? How long do they plan to let you? How long do you have before you're thrown back out to the streets with nothing more than a bag of dirty clothes and an old book to your name?
Your head begins pounding with the migraine you're giving yourself as you pull the sheet taunt against the bed you've slept in for the last two nights.
You swallow, mind drifting back to the first night you stayed here.
"S-T-A-Y."
The memory of Thomas' words tingle against your palm, and it presents you with a new question.
Would they ever let you leave?

Hiya! (Don’t know if requests are open but if not just ignore-)
how would the slashers react to their s/o who goes in and out of the hospital because of health problems?
Hope you Have a good day/night and stay safe! ^^
hiya my darling i especially love you and this is an adorbs ask 🥺 thank u for sending this in!! and sorry for the extreme delay 🥹💞
i decided to include brahmsy because i miss him dearly 🥹💗
Slashers with an s/o who’s in and out of the hospital
summary you and your slasher husband must make time for your hospital checkups and whatnot. how does this impact the relationship and mental health of both of you?😇💕
warnings fluffff🥺🌷
thomas
thomas is the one to carrying you to the hospital if it came to it. every single time. he just loves you so much 😭💞 he can’t let you be in danger. he is the first one at your side every single time you are in need of help with your health.
he will be a mother hen. anything that hoyt requests you do, he will be at your side making sure you are safe and protected, whatever it is. unless luda is there to help, he will be at your side diligently to make sure his love is doing okay and that they don’t need help🥺🌷
he is insanely protective. thomas is like a protective force field around you, literally nothing can harm you while he is your beloved protector 🥺💞 tommy notices when hoyt purposefully gives you difficult tasks he knows you won’t be able to do, and since then, tommy has made it his personal goal to make hoyt afraid of messing with you. and boy, he can be terrifying🥲
when the time comes where you need to be on the way back to the hospital, tommy is pushing through everyone in his way to get to you. 🥺🫶 you are his heart, his baby, his beloved one. he is your sole protector and he will see to it that you get the proper care you need. don’t worry y/n, thomas is here to keep you safe.
he doesn’t mind doctors. just make his sweetheart healthy and there won’t be a problem🤗💗
jason
jason is a little passive when it comes to medical stuff. i mean, he lived off the bare minimum after the lake incident, and then became undead so~~😂💞 but once he realizes the love of his life, the flower on his mountain, needs this medical care, he will do everything in his power to get them to it🌷
jason is very very understanding. 💕you had explained to jason that you are often in and out of the hospital for whatever reason. this might result in you disappearing for a few hours, to a few days at a time, but there was nothing you could do about it. 🥺 in those soft and expressive eyes of his, you could read, “i would wait forever for you.” 🌷💕
when you return, expect the softest princess treatment. jason has made the bed for you, lavished with new soft blankets and pillows. he has your favorite stuffed animals, and once you’re snuggled in, he gives your stuffies kisses before tucking them with you, and then giving you forehead kisses, and making a “shh~~” sound while stroking your hair😭🌷💗
he likes carrying you everywhere😭🥺 or at least holding your hand softly as he walks places. i think it’s a very soft manifestation of his possessiveness, and fear of losing you. he carry’s you like a baby, or like a baby koala, on your walks through the forest🥺💗 or if he needs to go somewhere and you want to go with him, he won’t hesitate on wrapping you in your favorite blanket and taking you with him💕🌷
with jason, you will be treated like the softest lil mushroom baby princess to ever grace earth🥺💞 unless you don’t want to be, at least let him tuck you in and hold your hand softly whenever you’re with him 🌷he’s just scared to lose you.
michael
michael absolutely cannot stand doctors. as we all know, michael has not had very nice interactions with them growing up! in fact one could argue they ruined his life😭he definitely does not want that for you, but he understands that this is the best way for you to stay healthy💕🫶
michael’s trust issues causes him to stalk you your entire stay at the hospital. whether that be days or a few hours. it’s definitely not for distrust of you, but for the doctors he despises. he knows if they were to even slip up once, they would be in an inescapable world of hell from him🥺💕that’s his parter they’re putting needles in, one mishap and they are all dead😩
in a way, he becomes your doctor too, ironically. if you have specific medicine you need to take, you best BELIEVE michael’s going to be standing with your meds in hand outside your door, AS SOON as you wake up 😭💗he watches as you eat, drink, monitors your caffeine intake, hides, trashes, burns any food he seems unhealthy for you. he’s hyper fixated on your well-being even though it’s not obvious.
you honestly will not notice it, but he’s hyper fixated on keeping you alive. he has stayed up all night, multiple nights, to watch how much sleep you’re getting😖💞he makes sure your water is filled up enough to his liking, your portions are ample, and every single prescribed pill (if you are prescribed medication) is downed at the exact time it’s supposed to be consumed😇
you will not notice at all how protective michael is over you. when he doesn’t approve of one of your doctors (for whatever reason) they are gone, and another will come in. he pulls the strings, and he makes it seem so effortless. all for you, all for his love, his darling one🌷💞
brahms
he cries every time you leave. “don’t leave me~~” he sobs. but in a way he isn’t crying for himself, and somehow you know too. 🌷💕he knows you’ll always come back, it’s why he loves you so so dearly. but what if you are too sick to come home one day? what if you die in the hospital, alone, and he’s left alone forever without you? 😭
he notices that you are tired and weak after your hospital visits. brahms certainly is selfish but when he loves someone as much as he loves you, he will go to ends of the earth to please you and earn your praise🥹💗he will make you your favorite snacks, and bring you his favorite toys or read something from his poetry book 🥹💞 it’s his way of showing you he cares!
g-d forbid anything happen at the house. brahms isn’t good at remembering when you need to take any medication or any special instructions for yourself given by the doctor❤️🩹😖what if one day you forget and you pass out or something? he is so anxious because if this and tries his best to make sure you are looking healthy every day. he can’t ever lose you y/n!🥲💗
you will receive a very clingy boi once you arrive back home😖💗 once you step back into the heelshire mansion, expect a rumbling and brahms stepping out from the walls, encasing you into his warm arms mumbling incoherent speech, his grip tight on your hips and waist. he missed you so much 🥺🌷
brahms will be very sad every time you leave to go to the hospital, but he must come to terms with the fact that it must happen. he struggles with severe abandonment issues every since his parents and greta left him, but he will learn that you will always return to him🌷
bo sinclair
he will certainly not make a very big deal about it. and he will absolutely not relay any of your medical information to lester or vincent. you want to know anything about y/n? fuck off. it’s none of their business. he won’t like talking or hearing about your mortality or health, it makes him overthink and anxious and he doesn’t like feeling that way at all :(
generally, bo is extra gentle with you and extra angry with his potentially hazardous brothers. when you are feeling particularly sick, he’s speaking in hushed cooes while stroking your cheek🥺💕if you’re on the couch he makes sure both brothers know not to make any loud noises. he will tease you for being a couch potato while literally wrapping you in blankets and spoon feeding you apple sauce😭 he loves it when you visit him in the garage, talking to you is like a drug to him 🥺💞
bo goes extra lengths to make sure everything is in order. when the time comes around to make a trip to the hospital, bo is loading up the truck with necessities and blankets and whatever else you want. he has vincent help him sometimes. and he doesn’t want you to question a thing 🥹💗 of course he’s doing this for you, baby girl. sweet thing, just get in the front seat and let him take control. 🌷
he sits with you and holds your hand or thigh in the waiting room. when the doctor comes around he sits up and shakes the doctors hand like a suburban dad before they take you back to do screenings and go over your symptoms and medications😭💗bo stays in the waiting room with his knuckles brushing over his chin, and watching the clock.
surprisingly, bo is extremely good at taking care of you. it mostly comes from him taking care of vincent and lester all those years. he is absolutely terrified at the possibility of losing you to any sickness you may have, but masks it with teasing words and his overprotective tendencies😭💗
vincent sinclair
he is very scared of being incompetent at taking care of you. he might go to bo for advice, and will feel guilty for not going with you to the hospital when the time comes😞🌷. he gets bo to get you a car to use when you need to leave for your appointments, and will not eat and barely sleep while you are away.
he gets some sort of communication between you two so you can update him when you are away at the hospital😊 this way he can know when things are going well, and get better idea of when you will be home. this helps his distress and separation anxiety a lot🤗💝
when you return home, you are going straight to your room. you aren’t even inside the house yet and vincent’s warm arms are wrapped around you, his hard chest against your back, his face in the crook of your neck breathing you in. you are finally home🌷 vincent takes your hand gently and leads you into your guys’s shared room, cuddling with you in the bed running his artist hands up and down your body.
he makes you little trinkets to bring with you to the hospital. he thinks of it as him being with you in a way, and sees it as protection 😇💕this also calms his separation anxiety in a way, and it gives him an excuse to spoil you in endless gifts, for his goddess muse 😩💞
since i think bo would generally leave y’all alone, vincent would be an excellent caretaker and really takes on the role of a mental support system. the texting is a huge help to both of you, if you are having anxiety at the hospital, vincent is right there to calm your nerves 😇💕don’t worry dear one, your darling husband vincent will always be by your side 🌷

Hi there 👀
Can I have Thomas Hewitt, Lester Sinclair and Jason Voorhees with Male S/O who gets tense/irritated and angry easily? For example, someone is talking too much and male s/o gets so tense, his body is hard as a rock and he starts breathing heavily.
Hey! Hope you like it!
Thomas Hewitt
Honestly, for once, Hoyt is actually scared of someone. He doesn’t even try to bother messing with Thomas anymore ever since you showed up. Hoyt likes to push people’s buttons all the time, however when he did it to you, he got sucker punched in the jaw and was out like a light. Yeah! That’s what you get for calling Tommy a worthless piece of shit!
Whenever Thomas sees you starting to get angry, he’ll take you somewhere secluded away from the family and make you take deep, calming breaths. He doesn’t want you to get so blinded by rage that you hurt any other of his family members.
He’ll make you help him with his chores. You can’t get angry if your mind is busy with something else, right? Thomas has a short temper too and keeping busy helps him stay calm. You don’t have time to worry about stuff that bothers you when there are things to be done.
Well, apparently chores didn’t work. Yeesh! Thomas thought his temper was bad, but yours is definitely worse. You seriously get angry over the smallest things. It irritates him how easily angered you get. Yes, he’ll be your personal punching bag all you want, but you also become dangerous to the rest of his family.
He sits you down and you guys identify your triggers. He even suggests you go seek a professional to help you manage your anger. Thomas even gets Hoyt to agree to letting you see a counselor in the next town over. He just doesn’t want to get uppercutted to outer space again.
Lester Sinclair
Bo doesn’t mess with you or make fun of Lester anymore. When he first got introduced to you as Lester’s boyfriend, he shamed Lester for being gay right in front of your face. You got so angry and Bo could tell too; he could see how tense your muscles were and how tightly you balled up your fists. He was about to tease you when…. WHACK! You gave Bo the blackest black eye no one has ever seen before. Let’s just say that black eye took weeks to heal.
When Lester starts seeing you get angry, he tells you to hop in his truck and takes you for a joy ride! Yay! Fun! 😃 You guys like to drive to a lake not far from Ambrose. Nature is pretty calming so Lester hopes you’ll find a sense of mind while fishing the lake.
Your anger gets the best of you around tourists, especially when they make a rude comment to or about Lester. Lester is pretty used to rude comments: it normally doesn’t bother him. However, this one time you and him were taking some tourists to Ambrose when one of them made an awful comment that actually upset Lester. You didn’t hesitate. You threw yourself into the backseat and strangled him: you ended up killing him.
Bo and Vincent had to confront Lester about your temper because it was ruining their scheme. You killing tourists before they even stepped foot in Ambrose would put them on the map for the police to start investigating and they didn’t want that. Bo told Lester if he didn’t get you under control that Vincent would turn you into a wax figure.
That sent Lester in a panic. He sat with you and talked about your temper. You agreed to go see a counselor to learn to control your anger. Lester takes you every week to the next town over for your counseling sessions and you guys even get ice cream afterwards. 🙂
Jason Voorhees
When Jason first came across your short temper, you guys weren’t even dating yet. In fact, you guys didn’t even know each other at all. You and your friends were all sitting around a campfire on the Crystal Lake property, Jason stalking you guys from in the woods afar. One of your friends decided to tell the tragic story of the Voorhees. During the story, one of your other friends made a nasty comment on Jason’s face and you exploded in their face.
Flash forward, Jason is pretty aware of your temper and knows every single thing that triggers it. He does everything he can to avoid your temper. All he wants is to not be yelled at. It makes him sad so please don’t yell at him. He’s a sweet boy. 🥺
Your anger drives you to kill. Everytime you overhear someone talk bad about Jason, you tense up. You're just so blinded by rage that someone would say such awful things about your Jason. He didn’t even do anything wrong to them… yet. Hey! Is that an ax in the tree stump? Dead. After that, you continuously stomp on their head. Jason has to pull you away from the corpse and make you do your breathing exercises.
When he sees you getting angry, he’ll take your hand and out to the lake. He’ll have you sit on the grass looking out towards the lake and you guys will just stay in nature for hours, taking in the fresh air and nature’s sounds.
He makes sure you keep busy. Jason found out that crafts keep you calm: it’s almost like a therapy session! He thinks anyways. 🤔 He does love to do them with you though. His favorite is flower crowns. You guys will make matching flower crowns and you both look cute with them on too. 🙂

"Faerie Tale Theatre" Posthumous Reunion: The Stars' Final Resting Places
Some people might think I'm obsessed with death. A minor hobby of mine is to research celebrities' final resting places, via the website Find a Grave and the YouTube channel Hollywood Graveyard. And I like perusing themed guides to famous graves. For example, Hollywood Graveyard's videos themed to Christmas, Halloween, the cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz, cast and crew members of The Twilight Zone, etc., or Find A Grave's "Posthumous Reunion" pages for famous movie and TV show casts, sports teams, etc.
I decided to create a similar guide for the cast of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. Sadly, all too many stars of that cult classic series are no longer with us. Here's a guide (with links to Find a Grave pages) to the various places where those stars are buried, in case anyone here might like to visit a few someday.

I think we need more pop up books. Very underrated! Horror movie moments that would make great, elaborate pop up features:
Jason jumping out of the lake at the end of F13.
Freddy's claw creeping up between Nancy's knees in the bathtub scene.
Michael sitting up after you thought he was killed.
Karen holding Chucky up and him going from Doll-Faced to Rage-Faced.
Bubba's mad chainsaw dance.
Chop Top, Drayton and Bubba all clumped together having that 'sex... or the saw' talk.
Tiffany's bubble bath scene!!
Candyman hovering above Helen.
Sheriff Hoyt using the hose (At the audience)
Pleasant Valley welcoming visitors under the Guts and Glory Jubilee banner.
Pinhead holding out his hand to you to show you such sights~
The red balloon hovering out of Pennywise's gutter.
Baby, Otis and Spaulding driving away all beat-up and bloody.
Norman appearing in the doorway with a knife in grandma clothes!!
Freddy and Jason staring eachother down in that burning building.
John Kramer standing up at the end of Saw.
Oh- and extra interactive features:
You can pull out Freddy's arms so they 'grow' in the scene where he's chasing Tina.
You can pull Bubba's door open and closed.
You can flip the mask off of Billy and Stu in the reveal scene.
You can tip the pigs blood bucket over Carrie's head (But also right it again and then close the book so nothing bad happens!! XDD)
Freddy might have a page where you can mix-and-match different costumes of his. Like you can give him his normal head, Super Freddy's top half and then Worm Freddy's bottom half. If you get what I mean?? Like those flip books.
Patricks business card would be detachable, of course (You'd take it outta his inside suit jacket pocket).
Oh!! A page full of newspapers you can flip open to articles like 'Chicago Mother Claims Childs Doll is Possessed', 'Krueger Released Free of Charges', 'Camp Crystal Lake Closed Down After String of Murders', etc.
You know those things where you turn a wheel inside a page and it changes part of the scenery? That, but you can change Jason's weapon (Machete, crossbow, bare hand, axe, pitch fork, saw, pickaxe, etc).
And- separate interactive Horror book idea: Leslie Vernon's book of Horror Trivia (With all due respect to Mr Ghostface), by Leslie Mancuso

"I don't like your style, but you were able to escape from me only by using your strength. Now that's something I recognize." Evangelia's body is floating not too far from the battlefield, thrown out together with a (somehow alive) very desperate Lumen. Zinnya has been awakened by Hoyt, and she's been sent away to take care of the corpse, so that they can keep hoping to bring her back one more time and Hoyt can talk to the General alone.
When things got to their darkest points, with Evangelia having been eaten alive and Zinnya floating unconscious in front of the titan, Hoyt turned invisible. He could have done anything to just take care of his own business and leave this place he hates, but instead he remained and kept avoiding hit after hit after hit. When he was grabbed, he forced his way out of the claws. Only when he moved a little farther away Roktor began to talk again, with a much more controlled voice: "Don't throw away all the work you've done. Don't run away." And Hoyt swam back to the General; following the oracle's example, he dropped the concealment only when he was right in front of his face.
"You have my attention. Speak."
Hoyt takes a breath.
For the entirety of their stay in Outsea, Hoyt never really expressed much interest for Lia's troubles in her lake. He faked participation with General Khu'Tihua when Lia wasn't able to convince her alone, turning the tables; he fully gave agency to Lia when decisions had to be taken, without questioning her will unless he was asked for it; he chose to have her go out of Hormun's den and deal with General Alara to solve the situation when he and Zinnya would have remained stuck there. But now that the rest of the party is down? He really doesn't have any external reason to stay and support the cause. He could have left; he could have just turned his back on them and all of this situation. But he doesn't.
"The creature that the girl was talking about has almost cleared the entirety of a lake; like she was saying, it is a serious threat, and it could reach this same river. I also deem it necessary to have it be dealt with when the time comes, and I consider it to be a worthy opponent for you." Roktor lets the words sink in, then smirks while looking down at his hand - the one that was about to crush Hoyt if he didn't escape.
"Very few people can claim to stand above me, or to have been able to wound a King. Your opinion is heard." He turns to Opak. His tone is much steadier, much less angry, but absolutely just as ferocious as before. "The Generals will go at war with this monster," he states. "And if I deem it fun enough to join, I will also fight when the time comes."
With that said, he turns back to Hoyt, who respectfully bows his head. A tingling sensation spreads through him whole: while Evangelia's dream was about the Vitalia and Zinnya's was about an unknown creature, Hoyt's was about him losing a challenge against a King, with consequent mockery and betrayal by everyone the assassin had around - everyone he cared about, in a way or another. But the dream has been denied. Hoyt has won.
Roktor starts walking along the streets of the city. Hoyt watches him go, only to raise his voice one more time with his last thoughts to offer.
"The memories of the girl can be shared, so that you can see the creature as well. Do you want to?"
Roktor turns one last time, only slowing down his pace for a second. "I don't need to know my enemy. They'll just have to be sorry if they get to face me."

So we had the beach episode in Chicago By Night that I joked about wanting to do. The DM had us go to a lighthouse to look for a camarilla dude’s missing ghouls, and we came across what we thought were mariner gangrel but it was, as I said, “more like a shape of water kind of thing?” to which the DM said sort of. So it’s just me and the nosferatu doing this, the Ravnos had a walkie talkie but he wasn’t physically there, and he told me to try call of cthulhu on the fish men and he would cast chimeristry on me but it didn’t work cause he wasn’t *there* there.
Hoyt the nos went into a frenzy because a fishman damaged his hat (quote from player: “can i voluntarily frenzy? i know im gonna get a stain from that because it violates a tenet but i’m really mad that he damaged my hat. that was a gift from my touchstone!” and because i thought it would be interesting if he accidentally attacked me in the frenzy, which he did, but with my stamina and resolve i was able to dodge the hits and didn’t even need fortitude to tank the damage. So he will powered to get one turn out of frenzy, which he used to jump out the lighthouse window into lake michigan, and we ended on a cliffhanger as my character called her sire and just said “emergency at the pier. bring (hoyt’s sire, can’t remember his name rn)” and made my way to the entrance to the pier while hoyt was doing who knows what to the fish.

"NewRange Copper Nickel plans to build a $1 billion open-pit mine near Babbit, Minnesota, with a processing plant near Hoyt Lakes, making the project the first copper-nickel mine in the state. It was renamed NewRange Copper Nickel in February 2023, but is still widely known as PolyMet.
The mine will be operated by Glencore and Teck who both have troubled histories of corruption & pollution."

What kinds of decorations do you think Thomas has in his room? Is he pretty goblincore with handmade animal skin trinkets and various pretty things stolen off visitors? Or does he keep it classic and relatively bare?
Hmmm, I've always headcanoned he keeps a blank and empty room, but I know he enjoys making things... So, let's talk about it!
I think Thomas enjoys making things like jewelery with things he finds interesting, like various nature related things he's found outside, or even cool looking teeth or something off a victim, and of course a claw or something from an animal
It's not exactly a relaxing process but he's gotten really good with working with the jewelery over the years and it gives him something to focus on, and when he's wearing something he's made it gives him a way to stim and provides comfort when he's overwhelmed with something, so he makes the jewelry really strong so he can pull on it, maybe lightly snap it against his wrist, or just rub the charms between his fingers. Though, this habit died down a lot as he got older thanks to Hoyt and Montys unfriendly teasing.
He'll make other similar things from time to time, like wind chimes or sunlight catchers, using things like (again) bones, or sticks that make a certain noise he really likes when they clonk together, pieces of glass from a busted window in the barn, or light catching jewelery or anything of the sort off a victim.
I also think he'd enjoy working with clay. I like to take from the original movie and assume there's a lake nearby the Hewitt household that Thomas used to skip school (when he first went) to go play at as a kid, when no one else was around. He used to dig clay out of lake shore and make little sculptures to leave in the sun and dry. He still goes to the day, but it's harder to do since he has such a big responsibility in the household, but when he manages to sneak off he'll enjoy trying to make something again.
As for keeping things from the victims, I think Hoyt generally has first grab rules that Thomas doesn't try to fight against, and he gives his mother any particularly pretty jewelery he thinks she'd like. After that, it's free game, though there's not much left usually, so that's why he works with the actual body so much more.
But, at the end of the day, where's all this stuff go? You've been in Thomas' room, there's just a bed and a dresser, even the mirror is covered with a sheet. No trinkets, no decorations, nothing.
You've seen him make a few things, on one of the occasions you were sent down to fetch him by Luda Mae, and he's even given you a couple of the trinkets himself.
You'll see them in the house, scattered around. An unidentifiable clay figure, sitting on the shelf with family pictures. A handmade bracelet in the bowl kept by the door. A light catcher swinging around in the kitchen window, even a few he really liked kept in the basement at his crafting station, but never any in Thomas' room.
But, you can find them. If you start showing extra interest in his makings, asking to watch him work, lighting up like a Christmas tree when he gives you something, you can find them.
You'll be laying on the couch with him, your legs thrown over his lap as you lay out, his hand in your own lap as you tug and stim with his bracelet as the two of you watch the old black and white TV across the room, and you'll mention how nice the bracelet is, and how you wish you had one of your own.
You didn't really mean much by the comment, just sort of lazily mentioned it as you zoned out watch the cartoons you had found, but suddenly Thomas is standing up, one arm under your knees and the other cradling your back as he lifts you with ease.
He carries you up the stairs, and you're caught a little off guard when he takes you to the bedroom the two of you have been sharing.
It wasn't uncommon for him to simply grab your hand and pull you places when he needed or wanted something, since he couldn't exactly tell you directly, but it wasn't often he carried you like this.
He'll set you on the bed after shutting the door, and hesitant for a moment, before pulling a small wooden box from his closet and showing you.
When he opens it, it's filled with a lot of things he made over the years, things he couldn't part with but couldn't find anything to do with. Several bracelets are inside, all with different kind of textures and things, and he insists you pick your favorite and keep it.
You can't help but notice several things you really like, though, and you ask him if you can keep them out and put them on the dresser.
His immediate answer is no, after all, men aren't supposed to make things and fill their room with such pretty and happy things, right? That's too childish, that's too girly, and that's exactly what he hears for years from his uncles.
You're persistent though, after all, *you* were the one that wanted them out, if they had such a problem with it they could take it up with you, and after living there so long you had built up a thick skin to the two men, something that Thomas admired and worried over often.
So, in the end, I think Thomas would love to decorate his room with all the pretty rocks he finds and trinkets he makes, but he won't really do it unless he's given that push, because Hoyt and Monty are old school, even for the 70s, and Thomas would rather comply than deal with their relentless bullying.
Thanks for sending in the ask!!!

Here's another interview with Matt where he shares about his experience on the original Walker: Texas Ranger, and a possible reason why Hoyt has so many shirtless scenes. LOL!
