For those of you in New York, don't think that just because we are a blue state it means you don't have to vote or that your vote does not matter. Maybe it will be a forgone conclusion that our electoral college votes go to the Democratic candidate, but voting is not, and never is, just about the presidential election. We are voting on all levels this and every year, and it is vital that you make informed and educated picks. Your local elections are majorly important. If you really want to enact systemic change, this is the most realistic and doable way to achieve that. It starts with small community-based change. Young people statistically has poorer voter turnout as compared to older demographics, and that is why your local councils and small-town mayors and hell even your school boards are able to run business as usual without the interests YOU want in mind. Because you let them.
The first ballot I ever cast when I turned 18 was not in a presidential election. It was to vote on my local school district's budget. It was in the school's gymnasium and despite it being open after school as kids left for the bus or practice or whatever, I was the only student there. This was a budget that directly impacted us, the students, and the people voting were all far older. I have voted in dozens of small elections and ballots where the margins can be as little as two votes.
It matters.
In New York, it is so damn easy to register to vote and to cast your ballot. I do not want to hear your excuse about how you can't register and vote because you don't drive, or you're disabled and can't stand in line day-of, or whatever your "well actually" comment is. If you are eligible to vote in this state, you can and must vote.
You can register online here
What do you need to register? Three things:
NYS driver license, permit, or non-driver ID card
ZIP Code currently on record with the DMV
Social security number
As a member of society, you have those things. If you work, you must have those things. If you want to rent an apartment, you must have those things. If you do anything at all, you have those things. If you don't have those things, then you are a very hyper-specific case and honestly, what are you doing on tumblr dot com when it seems like you might have bigger issues at hand?
But what about the actual voting?
Guess what? New York has some of the easiest voter methods in the damn country. Since 2020, requesting a mail-in ballot is easier than getting a sandwich at the deli.
Apply for a Mail-In Ballot Here
Any voter. You do not need to have a reason. You can just fill out the form. It takes five minutes. The ballot arrives at your residence, you fill it out, you mail it back. That's it. No waiting on lines if you aren't able-bodied, no risking contact with anyone else if you're immunocompromised, no taking time off work if you can't afford to.
For those of you not in New York, check your state guidelines here. In Ohio, for example, it's as easy as New York. You can vote by absentee ballot as long as your voter registration information is current. And as one of the most notorious swing states, it is crucial to vote blue in Ohio. Texas, on the other hand, doesn't actually seem to want to encourage voting, and you must meet certain criteria. But those who are disabled can and should request a mail-in ballot.
You can vote. Do it.

So, Armony is a US Citizen born of US Citizen parents. She was born outside of the US (in Germany), because that’s where her family was living at the time.
In terms of documentation for things like Driver’s License and passports, these US Citizens need something called a CBRA to act in the position of their Birth Certificate.
She does not currently have possession of her CBRA.
In the state of Michigan, one of the pieces of documentation to get a Driver’s License needed is:
A Birth Certificate/CBRA, or
A Current Passport or
A Michigan Enhanced ID
(The other things listed are for non-US Citizens and the paperwork they need to bring, which doesn’t apply to her.)
And it’s dumb that she couldn’t just take her Pennsylvania Driver’s License and have them verify with their records, which Pennsylvania had done with Ohio when she first got her license in the first place. Oh bureaucracy!
Unfortunately, her Passport is also expired, and unfortunately it’s been expired for more than 5 years, so we can’t just send it in to get renewed. She’d have to redo the application process completely... and you guessed it! She’d need a Birth Certificate to do that.
So, she started at the top, and tried contacting her dad to see if he had her copy. She didn’t hear back from him. So, we start looking into how to get a copy of her CBRA. We’re told that it can take up to 6 months, since she was born shortly before the new system was implemented in November 1990.
We went investigating how to get a copy of her CBRA, and she would have to send a letter with a gigantic list of information (this is in 2022, this will be important later), including her parents’ full names, dates of birth, and also city/state they were born in. She has a bit of a strained relationship with her dad, and her mother died when she was 15.
She’s able to get her mother’s city/state of birth from her obituary. She tries contacting her dad again. No answer.
Time passes. It’s now 2023. My sister is talking to me about the process, and we say about how we’re considering looking for a lawyer to explore our options about what to do when we don’t have a piece of information. Surely she can’t be the first person who didn’t have details about their parents who had to fill out this form? My sister suggests that we might want to look into hiring a Private Investigator.
Two days pass. We haven’t hired a PI yet because money is tight but we’re thinking about it. Sister calls back. Says that she doesn’t see this list of information we’re talking about - she sees a form.
We check the website. Something changed in 2023, and now it’s a simple form. The only information she needs to submit in regards to her parents are their full names and dates of birth, which she has. She has all information on the form, and it’s only a matter of getting it signed with a Notary, and a money order sent in with it.
We resolve to send this in the next time I get paid.
Today is Armony’s birthday. We are out and about, and she gets a text message. It’s her dad wishing her Happy Birthday.
Apparently he’s been busy working 12 hour shifts from 6pm to 6am.
(The last time he went awhile without contact, he’d fallen off a roof and had been in the hospital.) So we weren’t exactly sure what had been going on.
She’s going to ask him if he has a copy of her CBRA. (God I hope he does.)

How Much Does Medical Marijuana Cost in Oklahoma Since the passage
How Much Does Medical Marijuana Cost in Oklahoma Since the passage of
SQ 788, Oklahoma has developed one of the most comprehensive medical marijuana programs in the country. Oklahoma's medical marijuana industry experienced a resurgence in 2020, outpacing competing markets such as Illinois, Maryland and Ohio. When local business owners learned that there were more than 200,000 registered cannabis patients, they scrambled to get approvals and open businesses to meet the growing demand.
Oklahoma's cannabis industry is as close to a free market system as possible, which may be a factor in its rapid growth. SQ 788 is not only very patient friendly, but also provides an ideal environment to do business.
Participants in Oklahoma's medical marijuana program are not required to have a specific medical condition, unlike many other states' medical marijuana programs. This is very important! In Oklahoma, doctors are not required to follow a list of recognized conditions compiled by politicians, but are free to express their professional medical judgment.
So it's clear, thanks to the industry boom and tax revenue, that medical cannabis is here to stay. Why not apply for a medical marijuana possession card today and join the thousands of people who have already done so? Read on to find out how.
Medical Cannabis License in Oklahoma: How much does it cost?
Qualifying for medical marijuana in Oklahoma is much easier than most people think. Thanks to the legislators who drafted SQ 788, Oklahoma was able to implement a simple and easy-to-understand mechanism to provide patients with access to cannabis.
First, you should see your doctor and get a medical marijuana evaluation.
After your evaluation, you must file a medical marijuana registration with the Oklahoma State Legislature to receive your card in the mail. Most doctors will be on-site to explain the process and answer any questions you may have about your state application.
Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Lowest Price Map
In Oklahoma, patients are not required to undergo marijuana testing at a medical facility. Therefore, if you are interested in a marijuana evaluation, you do not need to visit a clinic to receive it. Thanks to recent developments in telemedicine, you don't even have to get up from the couch.
An initial in-person medical marijuana evaluation often costs $150. However, there may be additional associated costs, such as:
Time off from work
Commuting time
Contact with sick people
General inconvenience

After you pass the medical exam and receive your doctor's note, you must complete and submit a state license application.
It costs $100 to apply for medical marijuana in the state. However, if you have Soonercare Medicare or are a disabled veteran, you can pay a discounted rate of $20. When you are ready to apply, submit the required documents.

Yeah, it's been a while, but today felt like the right day to write again. I missed it.
So let's get all the updates out of the way since my last post(Dec 2023). Oh man…it's a lot.
I spent New Years with my boyfriend(yeah we're still a thing), and his best friend. Had to go home early though…cause like…im old, and we work in the mornings.
February I picked up a few extra gig jobs to pay off school. I delivered for Instacart, Spark, Shipt, and Amazon Flex. While working two other jobs. I had to pay it off and I was tired of waiting for money to just appear….cause that's totally not a thing.
March was my man's birthday! The first one I got to spend with him. Gifts that I got him don't matter…like i'm not gonna sit here and list them off…just his face was all i needed. That look of just you didn't have to do that..but he was glad I did.
I started therapy to heal from a relationship with a family member that I actually never really understood until very recently. I'm learning that , in the words of Taylor Swift, “Hi, it's me , I'm the problem”- I know that now. I know a lot now actually.
Started reading a book that has helped immensely with my healing as well. I won't mention the title in this blog as it's specific to one person in my life…but I will say this: No one is perfect, no matter the title they hold in your life. Additionally titles don't mean shit. We're all human and that's the only title I care about…unless you're an alien…then like, can we be friends.
The Medical Board of Ohio gave me my massage license, and I have signed a lease for my own business and actually have two clients ( sister and friend.) Yeah…Blissfully Bloomed is actually a real , tangible thing now.
I moved in with my boyfriend. Yup, the WHOLE sentence! It's been about 3 weeks , and let's just say we are slowly adjusting to the new. The animals are a little testy, but we love them all.Spray bottles are in every room now. LOL! He has been incredible throughout the entire process. I even know how to plug my tire now. He is patient, and kind. Even on days…i don't want to be human…he is still right there. I will tell you this- I never knew love could feel this deep…this solid…this safe. He truly is the person I was supposed to find. Someone in my life once told me a long time ago, “he has brought back what the locust stole”- When it was told to me the first time it didn't make sense, and in hindsight…I know why it didn't make sense. Now…I understand the phrase…I understand what a healthy and honest relationship looks like. I understand that MEN operate completely differently when they too feel safe and understood. I love you like crazy baby.
I started a solid vitamin regimen…and boy oh boy has it helped immensely. My anxiety only peaks during stress, and unknown areas of my life now. It's not at the forefront anymore. Vitamins, therapy, massage, counseling, coloring, legoing, and being surrounded by motivated individuals who only want to better themselves have been the key to my success. Sure I have days just like everyone else where I just don't wanna. But as my boyfriend says”it's allowed, just have to find a balance”- So i'm working on it…BUT vitamins are so good!
So I think that covers it for the updates…Lets chat about whats to come!
Moving through all of the above has required high energy and focus to obtain a goal. The focus was definitely fueled by my sister jessica. My sister was the entire inspiration to become a Massage Therapist. What's crazy…I had a client last week…she was a nurse at Nationwide in the pediatric unit….I think she would have worked with Jess at some point, and she was on MY table. Small world sometimes ya know.
Massage gave me my heart back and I've said that since school…you can't be heartless and be a massage therapist. It's impossible. We comfort through the power of touch. We calm anxiety, recirculate blood to all the necessary parts of your body, we hold space for others to relax. Coming from someone that was very very selfish in her past life…to be able to have people on my table is a gift I will always attribute to my sister Jess. Man do I miss her. What I wouldn't give to wheel her into my massage studio and give her some relaxation for a brief moment. She showed me native american flute music too. I love ya sis. We all do. You can come visit me anytime anywhere. I love you.
Okay well, on that note…I'm crying. So I think it's a good time to get ready for the day. I have three clients. One of which lost their mother last week. Like I said, massage is so powerful. It truly brings joy and I am able to give joy to others now. What an absolute gift.
Thanks for listening to my ted talk- see ya on the flippity flip!

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH CO² THAT IS WITHIN THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE TODAY IN 2024? HOW ABOUT IN 2023?
In 2023, the CO² levels were at 0.03%. In 2024, it sits at 0.04%.
So "you-all" are telling me, that all...the "hoop-la" about climate change. Is all about a tenth of a percent a year increase. All the CO² caused from around the world is only 1% higher than last year enough of a priority concern. Congress decided our taxes were now also funding, yet another field lab study? In charge of documenting the rise of these levels. If our CO² levels go any lower than 0.02%. Plant life would die.
Half of Congress doesn't even recall what the level guidelines had been set into place. Yet along with what the results concluded or predicts from that study. Probably because Democrats are struggling in keeping all their lies straight.
Not the President, not an elected official, appointed authority or a politician ever receive validated results to the contrary. It's because the White House is no longer in control. Oh...No....Corporate business is in charge. They're in charge of our supply in supermarkets, control local media, our utilities, critical thinking, fuel and how much we'll pay. All along assuring that Americans paychecks are stretched just far enough where we can barely get by.
• Military = $712 billion tax dollars
• NATO. = $442 million tax dollars
• Congress= $200,000 tax dollars per official and their travel expenses with their stay's, bottled water for the White House floor, lunches, brothels and (+) what's made from inside trade.
• Illegal Immigrants = $2200 per month, per person (+) cell phone privileges, food stamp access, free medical, a credit card, Driver license, Voting registration, and shelter.
• SSI/SSDI = $1300 per month, discounted utilities, free medical, limited food stamp access, limited benefit card, free cell phone, discounted transportation and free public or managed shelter's at full cost.
• Ukraine = $75 billion dollars
• Lahaina wildfire =. $700 dollars victims, Maui. one time pay & out
• Palestine, Ohio = Received no help with clean water issues after the train derailment back in February. The 12 car derailment left the Palestine Village with unhealthy poor water conditions the town depends on. Even after 2 weeks when State and Federal officials stated water, soil and air quality met all safety standards. Residents still depended on neighbors efforts bringing bottled water into their community. Residents claimed they were still suffering from the chemicals the derailed cars from the crash spilled into their well water.

Business Boosters: Should you rent equipment?
If you live in Pensacola, it's just a matter of time that you have to do the inevitable and remove a tree. https://treeservicespensacola.com/tree-removal-pensacola/ is a tree removal company that specializes in stump grinding, tree removal, and arborist services. They have been in business for over 10 years and have the experience and expertise to get the job done right. Fully licensed and insured, so you can rest assured that your property is in good hands. Pensacola tree service is a company that specializes in removing trees. They have been doing this for over 10 years and they are really good at it. They also do stump grinding, which means they get rid of the stump left behind after the tree is removed. They are fully licensed and insured, so you can be sure that your property is in good hands. With the landscaping industry still riding the wave that started amid the pandemic, contractors are still deciding whether to add new services. Digging deeper into that decision unearths another question — should you rent before you decide? Lee Padgett, product manager at Takeuchi-US, shares his thoughts on the questions you should look to answer before deciding on that final big question. To rent or not to rent? Padgett says a contractor should consider a few questions before deciding whether to purchase or rent a machine. It starts with how often the machine will be used and unfolds from there. “First, how often do you think you’ll use the machine? Secondly, what can you afford?” he says. “If you’re only going to use a compact excavator or track loader occasionally, then renting a machine to complete a job or several jobs may suffice. But if you plan on expanding your business with services that require a lot of digging and lifting, it’s probably time to invest in a machine of your own.” Lee Padgett Contractors should also understand what services they offer now and those they may want to offer in the future. “As your business grows, you may discover the opportunity to provide additional services or work on larger projects that require a bigger, more capable unit with a greater working range,” he says. This brings another benefit of renting into view — the contractor’s ability to get a hands-on test experience with a piece of equipment before they make a large dollar commitment. Accessories are another potential thing to consider, depending on the piece of equipment that a contractor is renting. Other things to consider include your ability to transport the equipment you rent and for how long you’ll need it. “Transporting a larger machine will also require a bigger and likely more expensive trailer,” says Padgett. “Furthermore, operating a single vehicle weighing more than 26,000 lbs. — which includes the combination of a truck, trailer and anything being towed — requires a commercial driver’s license, a process that will require more time and effort.” State of the market According to the American Rental Association (ARA)‘s latest economic forecast, the market for renting equipment has begun to soften. “Largely what we’re seeing is softening growth as well. We’re seeing pricing elasticity,” Kurt Barney, president of Vandalia (Ohio) Rental, tells the ARA. “It’s no longer, ‘Do you have it?’ We’re back to doing business like 2019 when we have to really communicate the value proposition of working with us.” Barney adds that the rental market should rebound as interest rates continue to decline, despite the softening profits. “We’re balancing rate pressures, supply chain and mix of the fleet in a softening environment, especially on the earthmoving side,” he continues. “The rental model and proposition have never been stronger. It’s a good place to be.” The post Business Boosters: Should you rent equipment? first appeared on Landscape Management.

How to Find Your Unclaimed Money: A Simple Guide
It’s a little-known fact that billions of dollars in unclaimed money are sitting in various accounts across the United States, just waiting for their rightful owners to claim them. And no, this isn’t the plot of a heist movie. This money could belong to you, stashed away in forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, or even unused utility deposits. This article will guide you through the process of finding and claiming your lost financial assets, because who couldn’t use a little extra cash?
The Basic Steps
Gather Personal Information
Before embarking on this treasure hunt, arm yourself with essential details like your social security number, last name, and any maiden name or additional information that might be connected to financial assets. Having these details readily available will speed up the search process and increase your chances of successful identification.
Deep Dive
Don’t just stop at the basics; delve into your own records as well. Look for old bank account numbers, addresses where you’ve lived, and names of former employers. These pieces of information are often linked to unclaimed assets like security deposits, uncashed paychecks, or insurance policies you might have forgotten about.
UNCLAIMED MONEY
The Michigan Treasury Department (for example) is holding onto a ton of lost or forgotten money and stuff. This includes money from old bank accounts, checks nobody cashed, items from safe deposit boxes, and even stock certificates. Since banks and companies couldn’t find the owners, the law says they have to give all these unclaimed things to the state. Each state has its own way for you to check if relatives have left behind any unclaimed money. Let’s use Michigan as an example.
Step 1
Look for the place where your relative lived and search “unclaimed money” along with the state’s name on Google. Here’s what I found when I did that.
Or if you lived in Ohio, you would click here.
Step 2
You’ll need to enter some details about the person, like their name, business, city, and zip code. Once you do that, any available unclaimed money should appear.
Step 3
From here you can click on claim if your state allows the search to be online. If not, you can request any paperwork. Once you make a claim you have to be able to prove that you are a relative.
Reclaiming your property
Types of unclaimed property can range from cash in old bank accounts, uncashed checks, and utility or security deposits, to stock certificates, insurance policies, and even safe deposit box contents. Essentially, if a financial institution, company, or government agency owes you money and can’t get it to you, it eventually becomes “unclaimed” and is handed over to the state or federal government to hold until you claim it. If the person is deceased obviously they can’t claim it so it goes to the nearest relative.
Confirmation Email
After you submit a claim, you’ll likely receive a confirmation email that has more steps to follow. For example, when I filed a claim, I got an email that included a link where I could upload all the documents that prove my identity.
What’s Next?
The time it takes to hear back can vary by state and it might take a few months. If they need more info, they’ll reach out to you. Double-check your address to make sure it’s correct so you get your check. You might also have to mail in some papers or get them officially signed by a notary.
The Proof You Need
To prove you’re eligible to receive unclaimed money, you’ll generally need a mix of identification and proof of connection to the account or asset. Here’s a handy list for you:
Proof of Identity: This could be a government-issued ID like a driver’s license, passport, or Social Security card.
Proof of Address: You might need utility bills, bank statements, or even a lease agreement to show that you lived at the address connected to the unclaimed money.
Social Security Number: Often, you’ll need to provide your Social Security Number as an additional form of identification.
Legal Documents: If the unclaimed money is from an inheritance, wills, death certificates, or letters of administration may be required.
Relationship Proof: If you’re claiming on behalf of a relative, you might need birth or marriage certificates to prove your relationship.
Tax Documents: Sometimes, you may need to present tax records as part of the claim process.
Additional Information: Old bank account numbers, employee IDs from former employers, or insurance policy numbers related to the unclaimed money can strengthen your claim.
Notarized Claim Forms: Some states require the claim form to be notarized, essentially getting an official stamp that verifies your identity.
Remember, each state or organization might have its own set of rules, so always check the specific requirements where you’re claiming the money. It’s a bit like a scavenger hunt, but the prize at the end could be your own long-lost treasure!
Don’t Fall for Scams
Watch out for locator services asking for money to find your unclaimed cash. Always use secure, official government websites. Confirm they’re legit before sharing any sensitive info. I came across some sketchy sites asking for fees — avoid those! If you’re unsure about a site, give your local agency a call to double-check. You will be able to obtain this information for free.
