WK; 1.1k
summary: your father forces you last minute to attend a meeting with him to get you out of the house and you meet a certain someone who wants to give the spoiled girl a try.
tw; nothing really, he calls you mama, he lowk a simp, flaunts his money toošŸ˜’, daddyā€™s girl, spoiled yn, just be aware ig
ā€¢ ā€”ā€“ Ł  āœ¤ Ł  ā€”ā€“ ā€¢ Ā· ā€¢ ā€”ā€“ Ł  āœ¤ Ł  ā€”ā€“ ā€¢ Ā· ā€¢ ā€”ā€“ Ł  āœ¤ Ł
ā€œY/N please come down, itā€™s time to leaveā€ your father yells up the stairs, and you rush to tie your heels up. Your father knew you took long to get ready so you donā€™t know why the hell he trying to rush you now when he only let you know of this event a few hours ago.
That was one of the things your father did that you didnā€™t like much and he was quick to apologize and get you a gift knowing you wanted to look your best in front of other people,he couldnā€™t tell his lovely daughter no. You were his pride and joy being the only girl out of 2 children. Your older brother long gone a few hours away with your lovely sister in law and your niece.(who you could argue is more spoiled than you)
So now youā€™re here in the blacked out car with your dad going to some random business party that you didnā€™t even wanna be at but at least youā€™ve got your card(your dads card) so you can sit and online shop while your father mingles with his partners.
You sit there scrolling on Amazon just adding things you think are cute to your cart, not even caring to look to into the details. Daddy will handle that, you think to yourself as you add a new vanity to the cart. Youā€™re just scrolling through things when you hear someone mumbling in your ear
ā€œYou sure are a spoiled little girl arenā€™t you?ā€ You look up startled to see a man that should be described as nothing BUT sexy. Tattoos adorning he lights lined body grillz and chains glistening short black hair and he was looking just SO good. But that was besides the point, why was he all up in ya phone?
ā€œAn you sure are noseyā€ you go back to scrolling on your phone now having had moved on to another store until you feel him sit next to you and you try to ignore him but you can feel his eyes grazing over your outfit, youā€™re about to speak up but heā€™s quick to interrupt.
ā€œIā€™m Constance but you can call me Connie , and you are?ā€ Heā€™s not mumbling anymore and youā€™re pretty sure you hear a little accent but youā€™re not sure from what.
You look up at him from your phone and introduce yourself but thatā€™s not enough for him, he wants to get to know you. You look pretty, smell good, and got an attitude. His favorite mix. You guys talk for a bit, mostly trying to get to know each other and flirting a bit till he asks a certain question.
ā€œLet me take you out mamaā€
You actually let out a chuckle at that because there was no way In hell he wanted to fuck with you. Youā€™re too expensive and hard to deal with, you know this for a fact because your brother makes sure to tell you every other day on the phone how you and his daughter make flies come out his wallet.
ā€œYou canā€™t handle meā€ you say smirking at him and his eyes darken and heā€™s quick to retort ā€œIā€™m pretty sure I can handle a little girl like you.ā€ And you scoff cause who tf he calling little?? Ainā€™t nun lil bout you. ā€œTuh show me then.ā€ He hands you his phone and you put your number in but he looks confused and excite out and goes to show u other apps.
He goes from cash app, to a regular bank, to a bank youā€™ve never heard of and then still pulls a wad of cash out of his pocket. ā€œIā€™m pretty sure I can handle you pretty.ā€ And you canā€™t help but smile a little bit. ā€œWeā€™ll see Constance.ā€ ā€œI said you can call me connieā€
ā€œI know.ā€ You chose to call him by his government because why not try to get under his skin? You look up to see your father coming towards you two and you sit up straight and smile ā€œhey dad!ā€ You start hoping and praying that he says itā€™s time to go home so you can plot.
ā€œHi baby girl, are you ready to go?ā€ And you nod your head but go to introduce your father and Connie and they shake hands, you give Connie a side hug as you prepare to leave.
You and your father get to the car and you both slide into the back and heā€™s quick to start questioning you ā€œso is he your boyfriend?ā€ And youā€™re quick to say no. You only just met him an hour ago, he was NOT your boyfriend.
the rest of the ride was silent after your father basically played 21 questions. you just chill texting some of your friends and watching instagram reels til a text pops up on your phone.
Tumblr media
you had to think for a second about that. did you want to lie and say you had plans or just tell him nothing? you take a second to decide and choose to tell the truth.
Tumblr media
you just decide to leave him on read since your ride pulls up to your house. you and your father get out and he asks you what you want for dinner so he can order it and you tell him then quickly get upstairs.
you get to your room and open the door and are hit my a breeze. damn! you always leave that fan on to make sure you donā€™t get hit but itā€™s cold as a motherfucka in here.
you go to your closet and pick out some pijamas and go into your bathroom. you turn on the shower and wait for it to get hot and you step in.
you wash your body and just think. did you really wanna go on this date with connie? you know if you were to get hurt your father would handle the situation, so that wasnā€™t a worry.
you were worried about yourself, you didnā€™t want yourself to fall for him just cause he makes you feel nice and can give you butterflies. he could be just live everybody else.
but he might not be. it wouldnā€™t hurt to give him a chance and by now you already know what to look out for. so you turn off the shower and go out to your room.
you grab your shea butter and body oils, to lotion yourself and get dressed. as soon as youā€™re done, you decide to text connie back.
Tumblr media
you canā€™t help but smirk to yourself in anticipation of what was to come tomorrow. you were gonna enjoy this

So, in the midst of... you know, everything, life at the library goes on and I wanted to talk about the difference between Libby and Hoopla.
For those not in the know, Libby and Hoopla are both apps/software that libraries can use to offer digital items to our patrons. Libby does ebooks (including graphic novels) and audiobooks.
Tumblr media
Hoopla does ebooks, audiobooks, digital comics (weekly issues, not just trades or graphic novels), movies, TV shows, and music.
Tumblr media
A little while back, my library system had to cut down on the number of Hoopla items patrons can check out per month. This caused a little bit of a stir - people like Hoopla! And they should! It's really cool! But the reason we had to cut back there and not with Libby was because the ways we pay for Libby and Hoopla are different.
Libby uses a pay-per-license model. This means that when we buy an ebook or audiobook on Libby, it's like we're buying one copy of a physical item. Except, because publishers are vultures, it's often much more expensive than buying one copy of the physical book - unless it's an audiobook, in which case buying the CDs might very well be more expensive than buying the digital license on Libby. That's why you might have to wait on a list for a Libby title that's really popular: we only have licenses for so many "copies". These licenses can be in perpetuity (i.e. you pay once and you can use that copy forever) or, more commonly, for a limited length of time like a year. Once that time is up, we decide whether to pay for the license for each copy again.
Hoopla uses a pay-per-circulation model. There's no waiting: once you, the patron, decide you'd like to check something out, you can do so immediately and we pay Hoopla a smaller amount of money to essentially "rent" the license from them. Cool, right?
Except that the pay-per-circ model adds up. If we have access to a brand new or popular title on Libby and Hoopla, and the Libby copy has a long waiting list, patrons might hop over to Hoopla to check it out immediately. If enough people do this, we might end up paying more overall for the Hoopla item on a per-circulation basis than we did for the license on the Libby item. That's why libraries typically limit the number of Hoopla checkouts patrons can use per month: because otherwise, we can't predict the amount we'll be paying Hoopla in the same way we can predict the amount we'll pay Libby.
Let me be clear: If a library offers a digital service and it would be helpful to you, please use it. Don't deny yourself a service you need or would enjoy in some misguided attempt to save your library some cash. We want to offer digital services, not least because ebooks and audiobooks have accessibility features that print books often don't. If your library has Libby and Hoopla and you get utility out of both, use both!
That said, if you're upset with the lower number of checkouts on Hoopla or the limited number of titles or copies available to you on Libby, you know who you should talk to? Your elected officials. Local, state, and federal. Because those folks are the ones who decide how much money we get, and what we can spend it on.
Don't go to them angry, either, because then we'll get scolded for not using the funds they "gave" us appropriately. (If you're a frequent library user, you might be shocked at how anti-library many local government officials already are.) Write your officials an email, call them, or show up at a board meeting and say you like the services the library offers, but you'd love it if we had enough money to buy more books on Libby or offer more checkouts on Hoopla. Tell them directly that this is how you would like your tax dollars to be spent.
If anybody has questions about how Hoopla or Libby work, I'm happy to answer them! Just wanted to make sure we had a baseline understanding.

With regard to donating to fund-raisers and the analogy to panhandlers, what do you make of the difference in scale that the internet makes possible? I absolutely agree with the underlying approach ā€” I keep $40 in my wallet so that I always have a $20 to give to panhandlers I see ā€” but there's a limit to how many dishonest panhandlers a person is likely to run into. Internet spam and scams are of a staggeringly larger scale; for example, the head of trust and safety for Dreamwidth has put the scale of these scam networks in the millions of accounts. Obviously vetting practises help a great deal, and I think initiatives like Crips For ESims For Gaza are great, but I'm a little bit hung up on the analogy to in-person panhandling when the scale is so different.
Disclaimer: my tone may sound harsh here, I am having trouble softening my words one this right now, but I truly mean no frustration towards you and really appreciate this question as an opportunity continue this conversation in the Commons constructively
I mean. Make a budget for it?
Like. I've said this before, but given I've decided to hunker down in this foxhole, let's do it again.
All my life I've had a panhandling budget because I came from a family where you simply didn't say no to such requests if you didn't have to. But much like the tired old analogy at this point, you can't help someone else put on an oxygen mask if you've passed out because you don't have enough oxygen yourself.
So my mom told me this was one of those places in life you set a boundary with yourself. Identify how much you can actually safely reliably spend towards financial redistribution, and set it aside in cash each pay period to give out.
My mom's approach was very first come, first served. Whoever asked her, she handed out all her cash. I found that when I was trying to create a similar routine for myself that this led to a constant exposure to people I couldn't serve at all. So I created "allotments". It became my routine to take out a $20 bill at my bank every pay period, and then have the teller give it to me in $5 bills. The first 4 people I met who asked for it got a fiver.
Then came the digital age. Cash wasn't the main way people asked for money anymore, and my fivers were simultaneously going farther and going nowhere at all for weeks on end, especially during the pandemic when I became largely housebound.
These days, I keep $10 cash in 2 fivers, and each pay period I restock it if it's been depleted, and add $10 to a digital distribution fund (I use money transfer apps like venmo, paypal, and cash app for parking this money until expenditure). My allotment is still the same, $5/ask. During low-density ask periods, I will donate my "excess" at the end of a 3month period to a bail fund or prison penpal program, and if there IS no excess, it's because I was able to distribute the funds myself.
They're not big donations, but a lot of the time I've been able to make them recurring. Obviously, genocide upon genocide upon pandemic upon genocide has meant that I rarely have excesses, and many asks have to go unanswered by me. At least if I want to keep my own household alive and well. And I've been told in the past that some even prefer getting my repeat small petty cash funds over getting larger one time donations.
It's still hard to be constantly exposed to desperate asks you can't answer, but when you treat it like a sustainability thing (this is a thing I can continue doing indefinitely vs this is a thing I can only sometimes do without hurting myself).
Like any budget, sometimes things get tight. Mine has been bigger and smaller at times and there have even been deeply painful periods where my budget was, legitimately, $0. But once that changed, I was right back to it.
The more the world changes, the more it stays the same I guess

FANFIC/FANART CONTEST (Money Prize)
!!!!BEFORE CONTINUING: For my U.S participants, please make sure you have Venmo or Cashapp. And for anyone outside the U.S make sure you have PayPal. That is the ONLY way I'll be able to send the prize money if you win, and I will NOT be using PayPal for an U.S winners (bc i need to pay a fee to send money with paypal and I'd rather not ).!!!!!
With that settled, hey! This is something Iā€™ve been wanting to do for a while now, but every year has been a little tight for me with my own holiday spendings and student loans I have to pay back, but I wanted a chance to give back to you guys for all your support, and what better way than through a little contest?Ā
Iā€™ve been writing on tumblr since April 2021??? Iā€™ve put out a lot of writing for you guys, despite my horrible writing schedule and terrible deadlines I never meet. Iā€™ve loved every minute of it and have enjoyed talking to some of you ā¤ļø
Perhaps you've been around for a long time, or you just followed me yesterday, ooooor maybe you're finding my blog through this post, if so, welcome! I write fanfics for anime and otome games (used to write for kpop as well, but I don't anymore). If that sounds like something you like, then you're in the right place!
What do you need to do to join?:
Write either a fanfic or draw fanart to enter and get the chance to win money :). Itā€™s the holidays season, and while I canā€™t give out much, I want to give something. Iā€™ll be picking 4 winners-- 2 for fanfics and 2 for fanart. First place winners for each will get $50 and second place winners will get $25.
How to Enter:
You must be following me
For U.S participants, you must have Cash app or Venmo, and if you live outside the U.S, you must have PayPal! (if you don't and you win, you won't be able to receive your prize money!)
Choose whether you want to write a fanfic or draw fanart (only pick one. And you can only submit once)
Tag me in your completed work and add the hashtag #hanscontest2024 along with any other hashtags you want to get your work out there (this is how I'll find your work if your tag gets lost in my notifications)
Add in your Cash app or Venmo ID to the bottom of your work (you can delete this once the contest is over if you want, just wanna make sure people who enter actually have one) Participants outside the U.S who will be using PayPal, I won't ask you to put your private info on here, but just please make sure you have one. And instead, just state which country you're from so I know you're an international participant! Thanks
Rules/Guidelines for Each Topic:
Fanfic Writers:
Your fics must be a minimum of 5k words, I donā€™t have a maximum, but Iā€™d feel bad if you wrote a whole fic and didnā€™t winā€¦but length doesnā€™t determine who wins, quality does!
You MUST pick a character from the list below. Iā€™ve added fandoms and characters that I personally donā€™t write for as well, but enjoy (since Iā€™ll be reading all of these, Iā€™d like to read things for characters I like!)
Fem!Reader or Gn!Reader only please (Again, Iā€™ll be spending time reading these and as a woman, Iā€™d relate more to reader if I can relate to them. But if you have a male reader in mind, you can still enter, just write it gender neutral please!)
I am a SFW blog, but Iā€™ll be accepting slightly NSFW submissions for this contest. Just please no straight up porn with no plot. I need plot to actually get into a story :(
Ideaā€™s must be your own and must be new and written specifically for this contest! No plagiarizing, and no fics that youā€™ve already written and posted online or youā€™ll be disqualifiedĀ
No non-con/rape, no incest, no poly, no character x character, no drugs (alcohol and smoking are fine, just no weed, no other drugs pls), no religion mocking, no racism, no hateful speech towards any group of ppl pls
Only one submission per person (Iā€™ll be able to tell through writing style or if you make another account to join again and youā€™ll be disqualified)Ā
Thatā€™s about it. As for grammar, I have a hard time reading things that donā€™t flow well or have grammar mistakes. SOOOO for my younger writers out there who donā€™t know some grammar rules, or maybe even my writers who donā€™t have English as a first language, or maybe even writers whoā€™d like a proofreader, Iā€™m willing to read through your drafts to correct any minor grammar mistakes. I wonā€™t be helping with anything else, like how to progress your story, or plot holes or anything like that, only grammar. My editing help will not increase your chances of winning either or guarantee you to win.Ā
For Fanart:Ā
Like the writers, you must pick a character from the list below
Artwork can be physical or digital, just no AI artwork please, or youā€™ll be disqualifiedĀ
Can be any medium; digital, drawing, painting, etcā€”just make sure itā€™s complete. Preferably some color would be great as well, unless youā€™ve chosen an artistic route to not use color
Just characters please, no readers. And no shipsā€¦you can choose several characters from the list and incorporate them into one piece, but just no romantic ship artwork plssss
Must be your own work and new! Iā€™ll be reverse searching every imageĀ to make sure it doesn't already exist
Each image must have a little turtle in it somewhere in the artwork (just as an indicator that itā€™s really yours. Why turtles? Because I love them heh)
Iā€™ll allow suggestive artwork, just please donā€™t send in anything explicit (you know what I mean)
Some more general rules:
Please make sure youā€™ve read and understand all the rules written. If you submit something that breaks one of these rules, youā€™ll be disqualified. So if you have any questions or need anything clarified, just ask me :)
If youā€™re a minor, please donā€™t send in NSFW content, Iā€™ll disqualify you. Also I'm leaving this open to all ages, just know you won't be able to use the prize money or receive it if you don't have a bank account...so I guess that would be 16 and up? Idk what the age is to start your own bank acc lol
NO AI ART WORK OR WRITING ALLOWED. This is your chance to be creative and showcase you, in whichever way you decide
NO Stealing other peopleā€™s workā€¦just donā€™t do it
Please donā€™t trauma dump on me, or beg me to choose you as the winner. I know there are people out there who would really need this money and who are struggling. I feel for you all, but I canā€™t afford to send everyone money. I canā€™t handle hearing how badly everyone needs thisā€¦my guilt wonā€™t be able to handle it. Iā€™ll disqualify you if you do, if many people do it, Iā€™ll end the contest entirely. This is supposed to be fun with the added benefit of winning some money for yourself if you win
The creative freedom is yours! Write whatever you want to write about, make it unique, grab my attention. Draw/paint/create whatever you want with whatever ideas you have; whether itā€™s turning Bakugou into a boxer, or making Zoro a girl dad, the possibilities are endless. I want everyone to have fun with this!
Again, US participants must have cash app or Venmo and participants outside of the US must have PayPal! If you donā€™t then you wonā€™t be able to receive the prize money if you win!
Deadline: December 18th @11:59pmĀ
Please let me know if you have any questions about anything. Again, grammar editing can be requested. Iā€™ll be going over only grammar. I wonā€™t be giving you advice on how to write your story or how to advance your story/plot holes or things I donā€™t like. Only grammar! If you want to run your story idea or art idea by me first to make sure itā€™s acceptable, you can do that as well. Iā€™ll be around :)
I was thinking over how to choose the winner. At first I was going to do a poll, but I realized it would be biased towards users who have more followers than others. So I will be choosing the winners myself. Looking at fine details and works that really speak to ME, hence why Iā€™ve chosen specific characters.Ā
Not sure how much attention this will get or how many people will enter, for all I know, only two people might enter and the money will go straight to them, or no one might enterā€¦so this is a test trial. If no one joins, I shall delete and pretend like it never happened. But if itā€™s successful, then maybe Iā€™ll make it a yearly thing! Giving back for the holidays :) <3
Good luck and hope you all have fun with this!Ā

Manhood Exchange
The premise is based on a story I read a while back and forgot to bookmark. Similar stories and bonus material on my Patreon.
I was in a shopping mall when I got the notification on my phone. Out of habit I just tapped the icon and suddenly I got a large, erect cock filling the phone screen. I immediately became aware of where I was and had a few seconds of panic before reassuring myself that no one else saw it. I moved a few steps to somewhere less open, where no one could walk behind me, and had a look again.
It was beautiful. Massive and uncut, with the skin pulled back to expose the pink, gleaming head. Actually the entire cock glistened like he had made a few strokes with precum on his hand and then positioned himself with just the right lighting to make the veins pop a little extra. The truly remarkable part was however the overlay at the bottom of the screen. "$400, quick trade"
I'd been on the Manhood Exchange app long enough to know a cock like this is usually hundred times that price, if not more. Whatever impression you've got from watching porn, people are on a bell curve with cock sizes, and the ones on the higher end of the scale aren't selling. All the people who used to compensate with a big truck suddenly ended up in the same market, competing for the same cocks, and they make a hell of a lot more big trucks than big cocks. Oddly enough there was a market for really small cocks as well, not quite as high prices, but just as small supply. Normal people like me in the middle of the bell curve with no cash to buy and no cock to sell just had to make do.
It's not enough for a cock to just enter the market either, which itself is a thread to needle with the 18-35 eligible age span and clean health declaration. For you to find one it has to be bio-compatible for science reasons and roughly the same race for ethics reasons, though the latter is just a matter of money. Obviously I tapped the "Deal!" button in the app before I even checked out his profile. With that kind of cock everyone would know you either had a shit ton of money, or you could get it by selling. The profile didn't add much though. Just more good-looking images of him and his cock. A text message function as well, but was there really anything to talk about?
You'd think I'd be a bit more careful swapping cock with another man, especially since you can't swap again until all the cells have been replaced because of some quantum spin entanglement bullshit. Ten years with bad meat is a long wait, but I already knew he was a bio-match and healthy, so it was more Fear Of Missing Out. I had some shit I hope I could fence, so I took an instant online loan and had the whole deal closed before I'd passed Baskin Robbins on the way out. Both I and my normal size cock were excited.
Just ten minutes later the phone chimed again with a proposed time for the swap at 7:20 pm, almost three hours away. Though I didn't know anything about this less than an hour ago, any delay felt too long, like I hadn't realized how much I wanted this. What it would mean for my position in the crew. Every minute of waiting was a minute where something could derail everything. My phone could be stolen. The exchange could cancel it for some reason. I tapped "Accept" and headed home with the phone in a secure grip in my pocket.
The instructions after I had accepted were straightforward. Be seated with a naked crotch and open the app ten minutes before the scheduled time for exchange. I decided to be pantsless until then just to be safe, and I set three alarms on the phone. One at 6:50 to sit down, if I wasn't already sitting, one at 7:05 to be ready, and one at 7:09 to open the app. I sent a text to Shawn and told him I wouldn't be joining the crew until later, if at all. No details of why.
Then I just sat down in the comfy chair. Three hours to go. I was only wearing my hat, socks, and T-shirt. And my bling of course. The sweatpants and my trunks were in a pile on the floor, and the phone was charging next to me. My cock was pointing almost straight up.
I realized that it would only be my cock for another few hours or so, and I should say goodbye properly. Normally I would jerk off in the shower or in front of the computer, but since I was already perfectly seated and with an erect cock in front of me I just grabbed it and started to remember all the highlights we'd had. When my neighbor Jamar excited came over and wanted to show me something. He was a few years older, but still occasionally spent some time with me. He showed me into the bathroom, lowered his pants, and told me to do the same. Then he showed me that by pulling on his cock he could get it to "bend" in his words. I remembered waking up one early morning with my boxers wet and worried I'd peed my bed. To my surprise they were filled with slime, but just to be safe I put them under the bed to dry so my mother wouldn't know. I remembered that time I got an erection during a movie screening, and slowly wanked but desperately trying to avoid cumming or anyone else noticing what I did.
I remembered the first time I had sex, the first porn I jerked off to, the first time a date ended in sex, the first time I had sex in a car, the first time I jerked off to a porn video on my mobile. All while doing this I tried to go as slow as I could, like at the movie. Flashing before me were dates, partners, and porn stars, while the top of my cock had some frothy pre-cum. I was shocked when the alarm went off. How the fuck could time have moved that fast. I scrambled to get hold of an old T-shirt within reach, and pretty quickly came into it with a few pumps of cum. Not really the satisfying climax I had envisioned.
Suddenly time was moving slowly again, and I was stuck watching dried off, limp cock in front of me. I became self-conscious about how it looked, worried about if the seller would cancel the trade last minute seeing what a lousy deal it was for him. He'd seen my photos already though, but they were taken erect and with good lighting. What was the cancellation policy anyway? The next alarm went off. Why did I even set that one? I was getting nervous. What if it hurt? There was a lot of news about misteleportations some years ago, and this was way more complicated. I didn't even understand how it worked. I knew the basics of standard teleportation from school. Every particle is a probability wave that exists everywhere, but the probability of it actually being at a specific point is overwhelming. By manipulating the quantum state you can poke the probability so that it is more likely to be somewhere else. Just a change in probability, so it can move instantaneously anywhere in the universe, given enough math. Swapping body parts between people was way harder, so it was bound to have lots of issues that could happen.
The last alarm interrupted my train of thought. I kind of felt not ready. Rich people did this, so it should be safe to do I reasoned, and tapped the activation button on the phone.
"This will start a legally binding contract with Manhood Exchange Incorporated adjudicated in the state of Delaware. Please identify yourself." the phone voice said. I pressed the white circle on the screen with my identification finger, the middle one of course.
"Please sign that you are aware that concluding this transaction will replace your penis, testicles, prostate, and relevant connecting tissue, glands, and other structures with a third party as preliminary agreed." I pressed the circle again, wondering what would happen if I didn't. The $400 would certainly be gone.
"Please sign that you are aware that this is a one-time transfer option with Manhood Exchange Incorporated that cannot be reversed through quantum transplantation." I pressed the circle a third time.
"Please sign that you are aware that both set of testicles will be made infertile through this swap." I pressed the circle a fourth time, not so nervous I barely registered what I had signed. The screen of the phone changed to showing a live video from my selfie camera, showing me half-naked in my lounge chair. "Tap to connect" it said on the screen. I did.
The image quickly changed to show the man from the photos lying down in a white, far more upscale couch than I was sitting in. "Yo, man. You ready to do this?" he asked. His erect cock was just as big as it had looked on the photos, almost looking bigger as it was swaying with his breathing. The instructions on the screen said "Verify the other party is the selected exchange party and that he is seated with exposed crotch."
"Yeah, let's do it." I said, and tapped the Verified button on the screen. I could see from his motions that he did the same, and a timer started on the screen, counting down to 7:20. "So, will it fit in speedos?" I blurted out, still feeling nervous and with several minutes to kill. He chuckled. "Shorts are better for swimming, but you want some tight trunks to keep it in place when you're wearing normal clothes. I use compression shorts a lot."
"Well, you can use whatever with mine."
The last 40 seconds we just stared at the countdown in silence. The actual swap was instant, almost silent, though I wouldn't be able to describe the sound, and without any shimmers of light as you can sometimes see when teleporting. It felt like someone spilled warm water over my crotch, though that quickly went away, but it was replaced with the most amazing, intense horny hardon I've ever felt. It was like the cock was buzzing, craving attention. "Enjoy the wank" the other guy said. "What? Oh. Thanks!" I said and the video was closed from his side.
I grabbed the cock with my hand and instantly felt the difference in size. It was almost the size of my wrist. I just moved my hand up and a trickle of precum oozed out and trickled down over my fingers. I leaned back, closed my eyes, and continued where I had left off, thinking about the most recent porn videos, and in not too long I could feel the buildup of a climax, only this time I was unable to force it back. It just kept building and building, and I think I actually moaned out loud as the first rope of cum erupted. Then another one, and another one. Then I had to open my eyes to look at the mess, and it wasn't any small squirts of cum either. It looked almost comical how my T-shirt was completely soaked in cum, and I was still pumping out a few more ropes.
To my amazement the cock was still semi-erect. I got up and hurried to the bathroom and threw the cum-wet T-shirt. After a quick look at my sticky chest I decided to have a shower. I stripped out of the few remaining items I had on and proceeded to have another wank in the shower. This one lasted a bit longer and produced slightly less cum, but it was still a shocking amount.
I had barely dried and put on my underwear before the new cock started to firm up again. I grabbed the phone and sent a text to the seller in the app. "What the hell is happening with my cock? Were you always hard?"
The app sat silent for a few minutes until a response chimed. "It's called hyperspermia. It's a genetic condition, so not a disease in Manhood Exchange's definition. You'll learn to cope several hours between wanks. It was the precum that bothered me the most. Just drink a lot of water, always wear a condom, and compression shorts really help, as I said. Good luck!"

Do you have any tips or advice for running an artists booth at a convention? I'm thinking about doing it eventually and been wanting to hear from people who have done it before :^)
yeah!!! lemme rattle off a few things off the top a my head also, pardon me 4 using amazon dot ca links for products that i mention. its just easy to find references that way (and often u can look up the brand and find their non-amazon store etc etc)
this got super long so im putting it under a cut!!
ā€¢ join an artist alley group!! i'm in this artist alley discord and it is a fantastic place to get info about cons, table display ideas, manufacturer recommendations, etc. there are more than just this group out there and i think there are bigger ones but i personally really like this one ^u^ i make a ton of use of the display resources and manu recommendation channels!
ā€¢ if you can afford it, be choosy about the events you apply to. there are a lot of cons out there that are fantastic, and a lot that aren't worth the trouble, and i don't necessarily mean small vs big cons. some of my fav events are smaller artist alleys local to me, and most of the artists i know avoid informa (fanexpo) like the plague. check out what other artists have to say about past events and keep an eye out for red flags: personally i find cons with really out of date/poorly advertised social medias and websites that have mismatched info are a warning sign of a mismanaged and not well attended event. ā€¢ you don't need a lot of fancy display stuff to start, those sorts of things you can build up over time. im a fan of getting a ton of my display stuff from the dollar store >:)
when you're ready and need the space to display a good amount of art the main thing you wanna pick up is definitely something that gives your table some verticality, whether that's a pvc pipe style setup, pegboards, or modular cube shelving (we all used to use these big heavy grid ones until the plastic sheet covered ones came out and now we all use those. theyre cuter and lighter and fit better on a table and come in more colours yayay. im sure some people still like the grid ones since they fit gridwall accessories tho) there are lots of other ways to display stuff but these r what i am most familiar with. definitely helps to look at youtube and pinterest and discord groups for display ideas!!
another thing you will want to start is a tablecloth. not every con has their tables already covered! there are those plastic picnic ones at dollar stores, and you can thrift bedsheets/fabric too.
ā€¢ depending on the type of display and art you do you'll need some way to attach signs/prints/charms/etc to your display. i just moved from blu-tack to magnets but i used to use sewing clips (back when i used the grid cubes) and before then masking tape. all of them are okay and cool! except blu-tack. don't make the same mistakes as me it adds like 40 whole minutes to teardown and it leaves gross oil on the prints after some time. evil
ā€¢ if you don't have business cards you can make a sign with a qr code that links to you/your shop! there are lots of qr code makers online that u can even customize with images and colours and stuff. there will be people that wanna know how to find you again after a con!
ā€¢ these days a lot of people don't bring cash to conventions and it's pretty vital to bring some sort of card reader or other digital payment method. most of us use square - they recently made it so that the phone app can accept tap! so you don't need to jump for the expensive physical readers. i've also got a paypal dot me qr code and my etransfer email (i think this is a canadian thing) on a lil sign on the table so people have lots of payment options. usually over 50% of my con income comes from non-cash sales!
ā€¢ make sure to bring change!! we've forgotten in the past and done okay but it's always handy to be able to make change for people. you'll want a secure place to put cash as well, whether it's a locked moneybox that you keep out of sight or a place on your person (friend of mine uses a fanny pack!) you never wanna leave your table completely unattended but especially when it comes to the moneybox. if it's a multi day con this is an item you mustn't leave at your table overnight.
ā€¢ keep count of your sales and expenses properly so that you can see how much you made at the end of the con. i really like spreadsheets but you can even just note it down in a book. here's a little example of one con for me:
Tumblr media
ā€¢ you'll want to make a checklist of stock and display stuff to bring, but don't forget to make a list of minor stuff like phone chargers and scissors and tape and glue and pens and paper. multiple types of tape and paper if possible. they don't feel super important until you're stuck because you forgot to make a price sign and have to get by with a sharpie and a napkin. don't let that be you!! dollar store sticky note pads are super useful for this type of thing.
ā€¢ plan out your prices and do as much prep (counting, sign making, display planning, packing/sorting) as you can beforehand so that the event doesn't feel too stressful. make sure your merchandise is stored in an easily accessible way for you behind the table so you aren't scrambling or rummaging too much when people are asking for stuff!
ā€¢ similarly, whatever you can leave out for people to just pick/grab themselves, the more of it you're likely to sell. things like stickers and charms are good for this - people like to touch stuff! and it makes it so you don't need to go fishing for items for people as frequently. generally i don't do this with more expensive items just to be safe.
ā€¢ if you sell prints, people are gonna ask for sleeves to keep them safe, especially at outdoor events. sometimes people ask for sleeves/bags even if they dont buy anything. they're a good idea to have on hand and you can find em for pretty cheap online and for a bit more expensive at dollar stores (i use OPP bags. if you dont wanna use plastic you can always get paper bags/envelopes/glassine bags instead)
ā€¢ a cushion for the chair is a good idea. lots of conventions have really uncomfy chairs. some folks even bring camping chairs instead!
ā€¢ pack snacks/lunch/water/drinks/have lunch plans. if you have a table buddy that is able to run out for food that's always nice. you might be sitting but it uses a lot of energy to interface all day!! you'll be exhausted and hungry and it's gonna be important to get enough fuel for your brain to function properly. i genuinely would recommend juice/soda/coffee/energy dink alongside water and food if you wanna live, especially if its a multi day con. get good sleep on days between!
ā€¢ if you're excited to do trades with other artists during the con, the general etiquette is to wait until later in the day/near the end when the crowds are winding down! it's always okay to ask if someone's doing trades, and don't be upset or press them if they aren't interested or have certain stuff they don't want to trade.
ā€¢ speaking of con etiquette, depending on the type of vert you are (intro/extro) and or how much customer service experience you have, interfacing can be nervewracking. my general rule is that if they stop to look, i say Hello and let them browse. if they seem interested in my table i try and do some small talk. stuff like How are you/How's the event been for ya/compliments on their outfit/cosplay/merch they have on like pins etc are good! kids and old folks love this. as tiring as it is to do some of my favourite parts of cons is talking to nice people that like my art!! all the folks that say nice things about my work are what keep me drawing ;w; i keep my sketchbook with me to jot down/doodle nice and funny encounters just cus it makes me happy to look back on XD
ā€¢ when it's teardown time try to put stuff away as neatly as you can. you might be tired and just wanna toss all your stuff into whatever it is you brought it in but i promise future you (especially next-con you) will be so thankful that you put all your price signs into one baggie etc etc.
ā€¢ speaking of bringing and putting away merch - you'll need a way to get it all from your home/car to your table and back. lots of people use dollies and other types of utility cart (i can guarantee there are a bunch of those grandma grocery ones at your local thrift store!!) - i personally use a big luggage bag and a collapsible wagon, but back in the day we used to CARRY bin after bin of stuff from the car and back in multiple trips which i would NOT reccomend lol. not every convention hall is easily accessible or close to parking so not having to lift stuff if you can avoid it is gonna be vital.

It's not yet noon, and this is already a fantastic day.
On Thursday I pedaled my bicycle downtown to work. When I bike I leave my regular wallet, with its many cards, at home. Instead I put cash, a Visa card and my driver license in a thin plastic case normally used for business cards. It fits my pocket better. If I lose it I don't have as many things to replace.
Somewhere in Minneapolis, on a busy road (with bike lanes) my wallet fell out of my pocket. I had recently been to an ATM, so there was over $100 in there. I felt awful. As soon as I noticed I shut off the Visa via a phone app.
I had my name and phone number on the case. You never know, there can be nice people out there. Using my label maker also makes me happy.
Early this morning, while at the dog park, my phone rang. A guy found my little wallet while he was bicycling and wanted to get it back to me. Quickly I left the park to meet him at a farmers market in Richfield, along the route I pedaled to work on Thursday.
We met up. He handed me the wallet. Everything was there!
I tried to give him some cash. "At least let me pay for your lunch today," I suggested. He refused the offer. He commented that the label with my name and phone number was a fantastic idea. He planned to do the same thing. Had my label maker been in my truck I would have insisted he take it.
When I got home I saw my neighbor spreading black dirt and grass seed in his yard. I asked where he filled his trailer full of dirt. He told me there's a composting facility a few miles from our houses that sells topsoil. It's inexpensive, he added, and they fill truck and trailers for you so you don't need to load it yourself.
Damn! Each year I usually buy ten or so bags of black dirt from a home improvement store. I use the dirt to fill holes one of the dogs dug or various low spots in the yard. Those bags cost $3 to 4 each.
The half yard of soil (it nearly filled my pickup truck bed) was $13. Holy cow, how had I not known about this place all these years?
I'll add some grass seed to the soil and spread it around the yard later today. For now I think I'll treat myself to a nice lunch then take a nap.

November Forecast!
Honestly, I feel very good and optimistic for you guys for the month of November. October probably wasn't the best but I'm also getting the energy of "turn of events". Not sure if this is resonating more with the month of October or November, whichever one I just feel like there's going to many turn of events for you guys, whether it's positive or negative or a little mix of both, I guess it all depends on how you at it... it's all about perspective. For instance, a negative situation being the catalyst of some type of turn of event for the better.
I'm going to reiterate staying focus on your goals and plans at this time and not getting easily involved or swayed by distractions. Church bells are definitely significant. The song "Beautiful People" by Chris Brown is significant. Again, distractions... take your time with things especially with yourself and innerstand that only YOU innerstand what's going on and happening for YOU. Yes, you will have naysayers or people that just want to add their little 2 cents into shit... pay them no attention, keep doing what you're doing! "You're doing fine!" someone needed to hear that!
At the end of everything, you'll be very satisfied with the decisions you've made or had to make but remember it was to better you in the long term. I see most of you reaching your goals, others of you however are needing to get out of the swamp... not sure what that means but swamp was what spirit used lol. But it is kind of giving me dirty, mucky water type of vibes... it's kind of creepy looking honestly lmao. Many of you will have your moments where you'll feel betrayed or like you had to betray others in some way in order for you to have this come up and glow up but honestly it is what it is. 555 is significant and I feel this goes back to what I mentioned before how certain turn events will happen but it could be either for the negative or positive. Some of you had to "abandon ship" in order to move forward in your own personal life and honestly that's fine, I also want to add that mistakes will happen and are bound to happen but be graceful and patient with yourself. Yes, you may have had potentials in your life, whether they were friends, romantic partners, jobs, etc. but things had to go the way they did in order for you to grow and heal the things that was happening in your inner world. What's meant for you will always find you and what's not, will leave you.
It's time for bigger, better and more! No more mediocracy from yourself and others and I mean this in multiple ways! I mean this in a stop giving and receiving mediocracy. You want better? Do better, create better, give better, receive better. When it comes to YOU, stop the mediocracy nonsense and I mean it in a way of stop settling for less than. You deserve more because you're a princess or prince. I used princess because your inner child is needing some attention and healing right now. Someone also could've been a daddy's little girl or a mama's boy. Achievements are on the horizon for a lot of you moving forward. You could be signing something soon or you may be seeing a lot of signs especially keys, moving trucks/vans... and something about church or a specific church building or this may be the church bells that I mentioned earlier. Confidence is key moving forward... I was getting something about marking your territory in some way lmao idk don't shoot the messenger lmao. 33/11/333 are significant. Lastly, you had to learn some really hard and tough lessons but this was to prepare you for what was to come in the near future. Trust me when I say that everything happens for a reason, and some of you may have needed to be or become more disciplined with self. I hope this helps!

ā€¼ļøREADING COMPREHENSION WARNINGā€¼ļø
Read and comprehend the topic of this post above the "read more" link before attempting to respond. This is your only warning. Violators will be mocked and blocked.
A GUIDE TO TIPPING IN AMERICA FOR TOURISTS AND VISITORS
AND ASSHOLES WHO SOMEHOW LIVED HERE THIS LONG WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THIS
This post is going to cover tipping people in restaurants/eateries and private transportation. Tipping can also apply to many, many other service industries including but not limited to: movers, handypeople, mechanics, etc. Since this is meant to be brief and focused on info relevant to visitors and tourists, I won't discuss that here.
You're tipping 20% minimum on your food and public/private taxi rides (including lyft, uber, etc). Include this in your budget calculations for engaging with these services.
I was going to jokingly just end the post here but let me explain. Minimum wage laws in the US allow employers to pay their employees UNDER FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE if they're in an industry that receives tips on the regular. Taxi drivers are self-employed and have to pay for the costs of the lease on their vehicle, gas, and give a cut to their garage or ride service provider.
Therefore, capitalists have shifted the cost of paying a living wage to these people on to the consumer rather than the employer. No amount of arguments against tipping culture is going to magically fix this overnight. That's the long game and we're trying to abolish this shit. Therefore, you are tipping 20% minimum. Today.
Even if you did not like the food.
Even if the food was cold.
Even if the server didn't seem cheery and smiley.
Even if the taxi wasn't as fast as you wanted it.
Even if the taxi smelled a little funny or the driver didn't talk the amount you like.
If you did not suffer immediate physical harm or harassment or discrimination at the hands of the service person who provided you the service, full tip. Five stars if you have to rate them in an app. Perfect marks.
Does the above statement seem strange to you? It shouldn't, because remember: capitalists have forced you to cover the full cost of the service. THIS IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE SERVICE WORKER.
Cash is King
Tip in cash if you have it. Credit card companies can't take a chunk out of cash tips. And if someone who works a low-paying job can grab a bit of cash under the table, away from the eyes of the IRS, then they will do more economic good with that money than the tax cut that goes to pay for bombing other countries.
How do I figure out a 20% tip?
Easy. Look at the total (THE TOTAL, WITH TAX YOU FUCKING CHEAPSKATE). Double it, then divide by 10 (move the decimal place one over to the left). Round up the remainder to the nearest dollar. That's going to be at least 20%.
What about counter workers?
There is some confusion on how to tip people who work at a counter in cafes and fast food establishments. Because they are not considered tipped employees and they get minimum wage.
The rule is, if during your transaction the POS (point of sale) register asks you to add a tip, you add a 20% tip. If you see a tip jar, you tip. If neither of these things happen, you don't tip
What about food delivery?
20% minimum tip. You called/ordered via an app, and magically food showed up. In any weather. 20% tip.
Bonus Holiday section:
Let's say you're visiting America during the peak American holidays when it's either a common "dining out" holiday or a holiday where you usually spend time at home with family. This includes, in chronological order:
Valentines Day, Fourth of July Weekend (the whole weekend), Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve and Day.
You tip even more on those days. 30% minimum. I've tipped 100% on meals and rides on Christmas and Thanksgiving. Because those people are taking the time out of spending the day with friends and family, what everyone else is doing, to make sure they have enough money to pay bills and survive in America. And no you fucking bigot, you don't get to eye up the server and figure out if they celebrate Christmas or not.
FAQ:
I can't afford a 20% tip. How do I pay for this?
You can't afford the full service or experience. You don't buy it. Next question.
Where I come from, we don't tip that much/not at all. Why do I have to do this?
You're in America now. You have to do this. Please, feel free to engage the worker in a spirited debate about tipping culture if you feel like you need more info. I'm sure you'll learn something new.
I have a tipping system. You see, first I start at 10% and for every...
Your system is bad and you're a cheapskate. 20% minimum.
Hey wait a minute, I'm an American and I have strict rules about who I tip and how much. And 20% is too high! What are you talking about?
Every decent human being quietly judges you for being an asshole. You are disliked by the people around you who tip like normal people. You are not going to become rich some day because you saved $5 on a tip. Own up and tip.
I ate at an expensive restaurant. Surely I don't have to tip 20% on a bill like this, do I?
Yes you do.
Holy shit. I'm going to follow this guide but wow. Do you Americans really live like this?
Oh buddy wait till you encounter states that don't list the tax on the price tag.

Hicvember: Public
This is a fast and dirty (not sexually, just haphazardly created) fic. I'm writing it straight into the blog entry form instead of in a word processor.
I'm tired after work, but this is giving me something to focus on outside of...everything else.
And, yes, it's Otto. (This time sans Atticus, though!)
CW:
public hiccups
unwanted interaction
embarrassing hiccups
unwillingly being the center of attention
unwanted touch (non-sexual)
yoga mom
dude bro
STEVE
teasing (non-sexual)
He shouldn't have come to the bank on Friday, he realized. He knew better. People came to cash checks on Fridays. So now Otto was standing in a long winding line in front of 3 tellers who looked exhausted as they quickly shifted money into envelopes for waiting patrons.
Otto mostly took payments through online services nowadays. Even the older generation had become adept at using popular money transfer sites.
However, he still had a few customers, much older ones, who insisted on paying with checks. Even more frustrating were customers who paid in cash. Holding hundreds of dollars in your wallet as you walk to the car was always particularly nerve wracking for Otto. As if someone was immediately able to see through his pocket and wallet and would jump out and attack him. He knew it was an irrational fear but knowing didn't keep him from being nervous.
He could technically process checks through an app on his phone, but there was something about talking to a real person and physically passing on the slip of paper which made him feel more comfortable. He couldn't account for it. But he usually didn't plan so poorly as to attempt to deposit his money and checks on a Friday. To be honest, he hadn't even known what day of the week it was until he arrived at the bank.
It hadn't been a particularly hiccup-y day, so it surprised him as much as everyone around him when he suddenly, for no apparent reason, let out a sharp, "HUCK!"
He didn't even have time to process the startled giggles of the woman in front of him or hope that it was a single before he'd closed his mouth to several more hiccups in quick succession.
"Wow! Those came out of nowhere, huh?" the woman who giggled spoke up and he looked down at her.
She seemed either his age or a bit older. He couldn't tell. Her dyed blonde hair was pulled back in a sloppy bun. She was wearing athletic wear, perhaps yoga attire? She smiled up at him with mild amusement, though not without compassion.
He nodded at her with a smile, still working hard to muffle the enthusiastic fit. He already saw people glancing over in his direction. It's not like he was that hard to spot. He might not have been the tallest person ever, but 6'3 wasn't exactly a subtle height.
Add to it the jumping and sounds coming from his body despite closing his mouth and putting a hand over it and he had probably just become the most entertaining thing in the bank aside from whatever people were looking at on their phones.
"You get them bad, huh?"
It was the woman again. She was still looking at him. Obviously, he was now in a conversation, consent be damned for him having one. And blast his congenial nature (and literally being trapped in a line he couldn't escape unless he wanted to forgo depositing the wad of money in his hands), he didn't discourage the conversation for sake of friendliness.
"I hrmk! I do hmk!hmk!" he said, shortly. He swallowed as he resettled his hand on his chest. "I'm so-hermk!-sorry ab-mrk!-about these. Mk!hmpk! I know th--they've hmp!-herp'k! gotta be mk! be annoying to-erk! listen t--to!"
His throat was starting to hurt with how much he was trying to keep the hiccups clamped in. He really didn't want to cause a disturbance. He desperately didn't want the attention.
"Oh, it doesn't bother me, sweetie! I've got 3 kids. One set of twins. I'm pretty good at filtering out noises," she said in good humor.
Otto nodded with a smile. Maybe that was it, then. The line moved one person when she spoke up again, though.
"You know, my dad used to get really bad hiccups. One time he got them for a week! Can you imagine? Having them for a week?! Drove my mom and us crazy. Probably drove him crazier, huh? Anyway, nothing ever worked to cure his hiccups. Same thing for you?" she asked.
If Otto wasn't absolutely sure the other woman wasn't at all aroused, he would've wondered if she had the same kink Atticus had. Otto figured, instead, this was just a woman who perhaps wanted to talk to someone, and Otto had inadvertently given her a conversation starter. Well, his diaphragm had broken the ice, so to say.
"Yeah hmk! yeah, no--nothing re-himp'k!-really wor-erk!-s for hmp'k! for me," he said and intended on keeping it at that. But as embarrassed as he was, his desire for verbosity was apparently greater in the moment. "Exce--pt for hmk!hmk! for apple ci--ider hrmk! vinegar. Hlmk! or ta--taking hmk! a sp--spoonful of sug-ngk!-gar, then hmmk! salt and--and if that hmmp'k! that doesn't work mk! the-mk!-en lem--lemon juice!"
"Huh, really?"
Otto startled at the voice from behind him. He turned to see a man who was a couple of inches shorter than him. He swallowed hard again but didn't let the anxiety show on his face.
The clock maker nodded in response. Apparently, he'd garnered enough interest to be paid attention to even more. This was not ideal, but he'd faked confidence out of more embarrassing situations in his life.
"That always works for you?" the man asked.
Both of them were looking at him now and he found in his periphery they weren't the only ones who suddenly showed interest in the topic.
"Nine ti-imp!-imes out of ten. HUP'K! Oh, excuse me! hip'k!" Otto said and covered his mouth with his fist as his hiccups got a little harder with his nerves. He felt heat in his face on the back of his neck. "If one MMK! doesn't work MK!MK! the other o--one does. HUCK! Damn, sorry!"
Otto put his hand over his mouth again and another over his chest, money underneath the hand.
"I get the worst hiccups, too!" the man continued talking. Otto tried really hard not to roll his eyes in exasperation. "I might try one of those the next time I get them. What was that second one? Salt and a lemon?"
If Atticus had been there, they would have seen clearly the micro expression Otto was giving as he widened his eyes a fraction. Then again, if Atticus was here, he wouldn't have had to field the conversations at all. He really wished Atticus was here.
Otto shook his head to the man's incorrect recount.
"Sug--gar, salt, hmk! lemon," he said quickly, fingers still on his mouth.
"Sugar, salt, lemon! Alright! Thanks, man! You may have saved me over an hour of suffering!" the guy said patting Otto on the shoulder enthusiastically.
Otto took the sudden physical interaction stiffly and nodded just as stiffly.
"Gl--ad I could HRMK!-help," he said and hoped the guy didn't pick up on the thinly veiled sarcasm.
"I'm texting this to my dad!"
Otto turned a wide eye back to the lady in front of him. The line was moving a little faster now and he thanked whatever deity he didn't believe in for granting him at least that much.
He also gave a small thanks neither one of them had insisted on attempting to cure him. Normally he was completely okay with, even enthusiastic about, random social interaction. His hiccups, however, took away all of his control on the subject matter and forced any conversation to be about him and his involuntary disturbance.
"Well, I hope you're able to get rid of your hiccups soon, hon," said the woman. "They sound exhausting!"
No more exhausting than forced conversation, Otto thought. But outwardly he nodded.
"Th--anks," he said.
The bank teller was his last social hurdle, but he had no choice but to speak with her. He took as big of a breath as his diaphragm allowed and approached the window.
"Hey h--how can we," she started and paused again with a tell-tale movement of her head, "help you today?"
She had a sweet face. It was round and her eyes were dark. Her dark hair was pulled up in a ponytail. Her skin was medium brown, and she had a small mole on her top lip like Marilyn Monroe. And, it seemed, she had a pretty decent case of hiccups. Otto couldn't help but laugh.
"HUCK! 'Scuse me. I mk! need to m--make a deposit. Himp'k! Sorr--sorry about these. The ca-mmp!-ame out of no-hup!-nowhere when I HMMK! got into the--the line," he explained.
Admittedly, he felt a little less nervous when he'd seen her hiccup to have them in front of her.
"Oh, my gawd me--me too! As soon hip! as I got to--to the window! I thought I he--heard someone else wi--ith the hiccups, too! Hmp! I've been stru--ggling out here!" she said with obvious amusement and laughed.
Otto laughed, too.
"Well, you're no-HUP!-not alone! HMK!mk!" Otto reassured her with a grin and another sharp hiccup which threw his head back.
"Ev--eryone's been making fu-up!-fun of me," she said and covered her mouth when the last one came out a little louder and higher pitched than she'd expected.
"That's no--ot nice! HRMK!-uh, business ac-MK!-count," he informed her as he passed his paperwork and money to her.
"Was that a mouse I heard?" came a male voice from behind his teller.
"Sh--ut up, Ste-eep!-eve!" his teller yelled.
"Wait, does he have them too?" 'Steve' asked. "I think you're attracting more hiccups, Stace! Like a hiccup magnet!"
'Stace' growled in frustration. Otto, not being able to help himself, spoke up.
"Hey, Steve? HMK!" Otto said. Steve faced him. "Sh--shut up, man!"
Stace laughed in surprise and Steve had the decency to look humbled with a sheepish smile before he walked back to his window with whatever paperwork he'd printed off.
"I'm so--so sorry ab-mk!-out that!" she said.
"It's al-huck! all good! Us hilmpk! hiccup suf--ferers gotta sti-hic'mp!-ck together!" Otto said.
Otto left the bank feeling much less anxious than he had when the hiccups had started. He and Stace wished each other luck in ridding themselves of hiccups. But as soon he reached his car Otto stopped at the door.
"Mother fucker," he muttered under his breath. The hiccups were gone.
The clock maker took a moment to be very frustrated at the situation and timing of his hiccups before he drove away. At least he'd have an interesting, and possibly arousing, story to tell his spouse when he got home.

Notes on Pluto shift into Aquarius:
-Pluto has been in Capricorn for the past 20 years. On March 24th, 2023 it will finally move in Aquarius. (First for 3 months- then it will retrograde back into Capricorn. It will move into Aquarius in mid November of 2024 and stay in Aquarius.) This shift will do many things for our government and changes in currency. It will also affect our weather patterns drastically, adding an emphasis on unpredictability factors regarding weather events known to specific areas.
Weather change predictions:
Over the next 5 years (especially), the once heavily predicable weather patterns will completely change course. I see storms reaching new levels of disaster, the first ever E6 tornado on record, earthquake events increase with more rain and flooding events being recorded. This prediction is localized to the West coast of America. Lightning storms and damaging lightning events will increase everywhere, including outside of America. And as temperatures continue to rise, so will the seas. This flooding out the coastline cityā€™s of most continents on the planet.
Keeping in mind- with the changes in patterns, certain insects or animals may move locations over this time in order to survive in habitable locations. Expect a rise in new insects and animals (mainly birds) in your location.
Why only 5 years for these predictions?
āƒ Well to put it simply, the next 5 years will be the transition period for Pluto. This sets us up to understand fully what to expect by the midpoint ( which is about 10 years).
āƒ During transitional periods the themes of the transit push themselves into the surface. Refuse to be silenced or ignored. This energy with Pluto adds to the chaotic amount of unstopped change. And with Pluto in the sign Aquarius, is a statement saying very loud expect the unexpected. Aquarius is known as the water barrier- thatā€™s why it will affect things like rainfall, and tide changes. It being an air sign, and having energy that likes pushing limits and making a new category where it will fit, this is how I was able to predict the first E6 on record.
Non weather changes prediction timeline:
āƒ all bills being paid online, offering bigger deal incentives for paperless route. Marketing increases on paperless billing and apps to help pay bills for those more resistant to turning.
āƒ The rise of humans choosing to get chipped and giving up credit cards, drivers license, health insurance card, house keys etc. Instead all information is within the chip. This trend will start on social media and ā€˜blow upā€™ via influencers, controversy, and sociological divisions. Some get the chip, some refuse. By the end of the transit many accommodations will be made for influx of chipped citizens. New technology developed to further the expansion once the populations hit 50% chipped.
āƒ Influx in reprogramming citizens to get chipped by 16-20 years of transit. Social media influencers and celebrities being paid off to Alienate those who refuse to get chipped. This sure enough changes the popular opinion of being chipped. Lessening the amount of power the voices who fight this change have in media. They become a part of ā€œcancel cultureā€, and those who speak down on these divisions frame them as old, outdated, and ā€œstuck in the pastā€. They also greatly inflate the amount of power ā€œthe younger generations have nowā€.
āƒ by itā€™s completion, and into the transition period of Pluto in Pisces, paper money will be considered an antique, making its values increase and causing people to get chipped for financial benefits. At the same time, the U.S government has been slowly removing cash within the economy, thus pushing the chip.
āƒ The great influx of new technologies, built from space matter, and secrets deciphered in space.
āƒ Shift from chip to retina scan.
āƒ Air quality decline throughout transit. This may improve during Pluto in Pisces.
A look ahead: (2043-2067)
āƒ Pluto in Pisces: it is important to note that during this time the main shift will be the attitude towards money. The once heavily known ā€œhustleā€ society that was found in America will be slowly deteriorating throughout this transit. Instead people will be focused more on quality of life, and living self sufficiently.
āƒ A rise in spiritual abilities being confirmed and normalized within modern media.
āƒ A possibility of sabotage of peace, with the release of new drugs. A rise in drug addiction.
āƒ A rise in practical, and common introspection. Those within their prime during this pluto transit will seem more insightful, intuitive, and advanced than others that came before.
āƒ A rise in charity work and funding for mental health and drug addiction.
āƒ Major psychological developments found to help those struggling with mental health disorders and disease. The discovery of the neurological and genetic makeup needed for schizophrenia and bipolar to thrive.
āƒ This new information will help the next generations prevent passing down the specific genetic factors to prevent schizophrenia from presenting.
āƒ A rise in great artwork and music, some of the greatest artists from this time will also struggle with drug addiction, or mental health.
āƒ The rise of a new perspective of lifespan, focused on creation and appreciation.
āƒ More technology created to go further into space, and the first colonization of humans in space. A lot of secret projects sending families to new planets to study and discover if itā€™s habitable for humans.
āƒ Sea levels rise drastically. Venice will be underwater by the midpoint of this transit.

Unpopular opinion, but Iā€™m so not excited for Haymitchā€™s book, and absolutely not for the movie (a rant)
As a super fan of The Hunger Games, it feels odd to say this (13-year-old me would hear me and say: ā€œthatā€™s such nonsense; I would never say thatā€.), but I feel let down by Suzanne Collins.
Thereā€™s absolutely nothing a book focusing on the 50th Games can add to the storyā€” except contextā€” and its mere existence goes against the message of the original trilogy. Anything we needed to know about Haymitchā€” how he survived, what it cost him to do so, and the long-term effects of being a Game's victorā€” has already been told in the original three; anything more than that is just a form of morbidity. Readers should not feel a desire to read, or watch, children offing other children in brutal ways.Ā
Something I like from the movies and the trilogy, for example, is that they make you part of the public without you even noticing at first, which adds to the message it intends to send: you get to seat in the comfort of a cinema/home, eat popcorns and sip from your soda as you watch this bunch of 12-18 year olds fighting each other for survival. You have a favourite; you hate another; you cheer on Katniss/Lucy; you laugh at Caesar/Luckyā€™s jokes; you melt at the ā€œromanticā€ displays of affection, and at the end you get to open an app and complain about how there wasnā€™t as much violence/time in the BOSAS arena compared to THG and CF (I saw many comments regarding this in Letterboxd, and I was like ?). YOU become Capitol; you are a spectator; you become part of the problem, and you donā€™t even realise it.
A book on other games is unnecessary; we wonā€™t learn anything that actually adds to the story. I was willing to look past the easy cash-grab BOSAS was because it added something; it had a purpose, but this new book is just that, money. The saga couldā€™ve been continued in other ways if context wanted to be added to fill the timeline. Iā€™ve always had this idea of a book where you have 14 different characters (one for each district + Capitol) and tell short stories about them and their lives in each of their homes between the 10th and 73rd HG. People that donā€™t get reaped; the ones with a day-to-day life in the Districts, and how they endure and navigate this world. That would add so much more context without being incoherent with the message Katniss wanted to send, and itā€™d still be entertaining and a good read.
I know itā€™s just a book and I may be reading too much into this, but I canā€™t help it; Iā€™m a literature student. Thatā€™s the end of my rant, thanks for reading.

F1 related news, rumours and mind blowing stuff from past days
(it's super long after past 3 days so i will add it under the cut)
I cannot not start by Lewis to Ferrari on a multi-year contract being confirmed
Some leaked and speculated details include: Charles and Carlos both knew for some weeks, the news was leaked early by British source to avoid Lewis being included in development beyond 2025 in Merc, Toto was surprised but didn't expect Lewis staying for long in Mercedes anyway, Ferrari offered a huge paycheck and almost bianco check for any personal and charitable projects he wishes (granted by Elkann himself)
His engineer Peter Bonnington could follow him to Ferrari, but that decision is completely on himself
There are rumours of Carlos potentially moving to rally for 2025 for a break before a possible seat in Audi in 2026
Peter Windsdor reported he "heard" Alex got a 3 years offer from Red Bull, but there are rumours that people around Alex started this to get a better offer (possibly at Merc)
Among all of this, Haas livery was posted and it follows the trend of more and more black color included to save weight (fun fact: white color is the worst one possibly to choose for a livery since you need most layers of it which adds weight and sponsors sometimes don't want their logo on white because it's not as readable on TV)
F1 complained Andretti wasn't serious about the F1 offer, because Michael Andretti missed a meeting with F1 management to discuss their application, Andretti responded that they didn't see the invitation, because it ended up in the spam folder after an employee sent it rather than Domenicali
Haas appointed Andrea de Zordo as a Technical Director and Damien Brayshaw as a Performance Chief
There are some speculations Kimi Antonelli could be moving to Mercedes for 2025 based on the posts about Italian from Mercedes on social media (personal opinion: it's just a reaction to Lewis moving to Ferrari and Kimi doesn't even have enough superlicence points just yet so there will be a lot of pressure to get those in his debut F2 year if it's really the plan)
RB17 hybrid roadcar will apparently have active suspension technology which was banned from F1
There was some speculation from fans that Sebastian Vettel could come back and joing Mercedes but Toto Wolff denied it when he spoke to him the previous day
Ollie Bearman will also be Haas' reserve driver (with Fittipaldi) besides Ferrari's - there are two mandatory junior sessions but Haas will let him driver the car six times in 2024
Most random piece of info: Alicia Keys, Pharell Williams and Martin Garix will have a post race concert in Saudi Arabia
DAZN arw signing broadcasters for new season and apparently face some difficulties with Pedro De La Rosa, they can't say more besides it's an "issue which will be dealt with by an F1 team with great discretion"
Interesting fact: during International GT Open, standings were called incorrectly behind a safety car whoch lead to leader losing out and ICA (International Court of Appeal) decided that wrong SC rules apllication is not enough to cancel the result of the race which... sadly shows how AD21 appeal would probably go from FIA's ICA as well
McLaren showed the 2024 suits, the 2024 F1 Academy livery and they did their tyre test at Paul Ricard
Suzuka extended contract with F1 for 5 years
Nyck de Vries will have to pay 50% of his 2022 F1 income (driver salary and sponsorship deals) because he lost in lawsuit agaisnt Investrand
Hamda Al Quibasi and Emely De Heus will be RBR's F1 Academy drivers while Amna Al Quibasi will be Visa Cash App RB's driver
Williams signed a sponsorship deal with Vast Data and also announced meet and greet in NY
There are many people linked to the Merc seat including Mick Schumacher, Alex, Fernando (apparently Ted Kravitz was said to be the source but he denied it), Carlos, Esteban - Toto himself said Charles and Lando would be first on their list if they didn't extend long term contracts already
Melbourne will become season debut from 2025 again

Trigger Warnings: Anger, Rage, Blood and violence, and self hatred
Word count:4.3 K
August pov
Ā My phone chimes with a notification on the seat beside me. I check the screen. Lo again. I havenā€™t seen her since my car . After I found out what Harper did, I was in a bad place for a while. I donā€™t remember much of the rest of the mission. The monster operated in my place, holding space for me until I was ready to come back. When the mission l ended, and I had time to think things through, I stopped thinking about what Harper had done and finally looked at the facts behind it. Of course, my mind went straight to the one person who could have told her about Hockingtonā€”Gloria Walton.
Theyā€™d gotten close, thanks to me, and I fucking paid for it. For letting a Darling into my life, letting her get in with my friends. Thatā€™s what I get for letting anyone close to me. Still, itā€™s a dick move on my part not to at least give Lo a chance to defend herself. If she wasnā€™t the one who told Harper, I cut her off for nothing. Harper could have bribed someone who worked there, seen me leaving with someone and tracked her down, rooted through my stuff or Dadā€™s when she was at our house and somehow put it together. Itā€™s better this way, though. Better not to have anyone around me who knows shit about my life. When Lo found out about room 504, it felt safer to keep her close, to give her a reason not to tell anyone. Even if we never talked about it, never talked about our families the way I did with Harper or any real shit, our friendship was real.Ā
But letting people into my life is a mistake. People blackmail and betray. And if it was her, if she told Harperā€¦ Well, Preston can fucking have Gloria. When my phone rings a minute later, I sigh and pick it up. We can talk once. Just to clear some things up. Iā€™m not going to give her a ride anywhere, like I used to when she didnā€™t have gas money. My car smells like a swamp from all the times Iā€™ve dropped my muddy boots and rubber coveralls in here this summer. Gloria would ask questions, and Iā€™m not about to answer. ā€œHey,ā€ she says. ā€œI figured youā€™d ghost me again.ā€ ā€œWhatā€™s up, Lo?ā€ I ask, my voice sounding weary. ā€œDo you use the OnlyPics app?ā€ ā€œNo,ā€ I say flatly, bristling at the insinuation. ā€œWhy would I?ā€ ā€œThatā€™s notā€”I didnā€™t mean youā€™d put stuff up.ā€ ā€œWhy?ā€ I ask. ā€œYou donā€™t think people would pay to see my dick?ā€ ā€œNo!ā€ she says quickly. ā€œI mean, they would, if you wanted to put it up. Thatā€™s not why I was asking, though.ā€ ā€œSo, you donā€™t want to see my dick? Thatā€™s not how I remember it.ā€ Iā€™m being an asshole, but sheā€™s basically calling me a whore. She knows better than to ask if I use an app thatā€™s basically a sex worker platform. I donā€™t get paid for sex, and I donā€™t need to sell pictures of my body for money. The OnlyPics app was supposed to be a companion to OnlyWords, which is a texting app with, as its name implies, only words in the messages. Everyone likes OnlyWords, but it has no photo sharing capabilities. So the same company made OnlyPics but it was basically a knock-off Instagram where you canā€™t use captions and the hashtags are hidden, only used by the algorithms to know who to show them to. It probably would have died a quick death if it werenā€™t for the sex worker industry, who cashed in on three key featuresā€”the ability to add a link to profiles, where they added their payment link; the fifteen-second video limit, which let them put up teases to get people hooked; and the private chat feature, which let them send someone the rest of the video for whatever fee they wanted to negotiate or even video chat for a live show.
Ā I donā€™t use the app because Iā€™m not an amateur porn star, and if I want to watch porn, I can do it for free like everyone else. If I need a live feed, I have a phone full of numbers of chicks who would be happy to put on a show for me, and I can do more than watch and jerk off. Iā€™m not interested in that any more than I am this app. ā€œOkay, letā€™s try this again,ā€ Gloria says. ā€œYou remember how HarperĀ  disappeared off the face of the earth when you dumped her?ā€ I stiffen in my seat, yanking the wheel to pull off at the nearest exit at the last second. The car behind me lays on the horn, but I ignore it. The noise is almost drowned by the pounding of blood in my ears. ā€œYeah, what about it?ā€ I ask Gloria. ā€œWell, I think I found her.ā€ ā€œOn a porn site?ā€ I ask, hoping like hell someone just uploaded the video of her sucking someoneā€™s dick from last year. It fucks with my head to think that one year ago today, I didnā€™t even know the name Harper Avery. It was another month before I would see her giving head in the parking lot behind the tampon factory. ā€œHey, donā€™t judge me,ā€ Gloria says. ā€œYour brothers have been out of town all summer, and youā€™ve been ignoring me. Iā€™m having a dry spell.ā€ I could tell her the twins are back, but if she ran her mouth to Harper, I donā€™t want her around my house, running her mouth to my brothers. So I point out the obvious. ā€œThere are more than three dicks in this town.ā€ ā€œOnce you go Walker, you never go back,ā€ she says lightly. ā€œAnd anyway, I only saw it because she sent it to Dawson.ā€ Iā€™m glad I pulled over at the exit, because Iā€™d probably run someone off the road right now if I were still driving. I grip the steering wheel with one hand and close my eyes. My voice comes out so normal youā€™d think I was just a guy who dumped a girl and didnā€™t give a fuck about what happened to her since. ā€œIā€™m afraid to ask, butā€¦ Does your brother always share porn with you?ā€ ā€œNo, you weirdo,ā€ she says. ā€œSomeone DMā€™d him, and Iā€™ve been obsessing about her all summer, so he showed it to me. He thinks itā€™s funny as shit.ā€ ā€œWhy are you obsessing about Harper?ā€ I demand.Ā
What the fuck. Maybe I should have kept in touch with Lo. She could find out shit, maybe even the truth. ā€œI donā€™t know,ā€ she says. ā€œDonā€™t you think itā€™s weird that she justā€¦ Vanished? I mean, Iā€™m not saying youā€™re not worth going off the deep end over, or that you couldnā€™t eviscerate her heart so completely she could never love again. She liked to play it cool, but she really loved you, August. Like, the kind of love that eats you alive, and youā€™re never the same again.ā€ ā€œPut that shit on a ninety-nine cent Valentines card. You could make real money.ā€
ā€œKeep playing, you didnā€™t feel it, too,ā€ she says. ā€œBut yā€™all broke a lot of hearts when you broke up, not just your own. Everyone figured youā€™d get back together.ā€ ā€œWhatā€™s your point?ā€ I snap. I donā€™t need a fucking lecture about how much I disappointed everyone. She can add it to my fucking tab for all the times I fucked up and pissed off everyone who matters. ā€œMy point is, even if Harper was devastated beyond repair, sheā€™s not the kind of chick who would let a breakup destroy her. Sheā€™s stronger than that. You may be irreplaceable even to her, but youā€™re still a boy. And it would take more than one boy to break Harper.ā€ Maybe not one boy. But one boy who shared her with two more against her will? A broken hand and a rope she couldnā€™t get free of, a swamp full of snakes more poisonous than her? Yeah. That could do it. ā€œThen it obviously had nothing to do with me,ā€ I say. ā€œMaybe she got hooked on Lady Alice or Pearl Lady or whatever the fuck theyā€™re calling it now, and sheā€™s selling herself to pay for it like a regular junkie. Hell, her mom basically said as much.ā€ ā€œIt did blow up the scene right around that timeā€¦ā€ Gloria muses. ā€œMaybe sheā€™ll tell you for the right price,ā€ I say flatly. ā€œThatā€™s all sheā€™s ever cared about.ā€ ā€œAugustā€¦ā€
Ā ā€œWhat?ā€
Ā ā€œLook, I donā€™t know everything that went down between you, but I know what itā€™s like to walk away from love. Just because you broke up doesnā€™t mean your heart wasnā€™t decimated, too.ā€ My laugh is brittle, like stepping on glass. ā€œYouā€™re funny, Lo.ā€ I could ask her, just come right out and be blunt, like King. But I canā€™t acknowledge that much aloud. The hotel is its own world. When we leave, we donā€™t mention what goes on there. I donā€™t tell the school that Gloria is a scholarship kid. I elevated her. And she never tells anyone that I get a room there every few months. Would she risk telling someone, knowing she could lose it all? Even if she hates me, she loves her status too much to risk it. What would make her turn on me like that? Harper didnā€™t tell that creep where she found out the information. But it has to be Lo. No one else knows. So, I hung up the phone, letting her think this is about a breakup.
Ā That itā€™s not about a murder, not about a girl coming back from the dead, a ghost dragging her broken body from the swamp and crawling back into my brain to fuck with it even more. I open my email, the one connected to the OnlyWords and OnlyPics apps by default because itā€™s all made by the same company. I barely remember thumbing away the automatic notifications I got when someone sent me a message this summer. I ignored them all, knowing they were porn spam. My chest is hollow as I open one from my spam folder. It tells me I have twenty-four new messages on OnlyPics. I follow the link and open my direct messages. The first one is a thumbnail of a video, sent this evening. If itā€™s from Harper, she changed her handle from BadApple. For a few seconds, all I see is a closeup of part of her tattoo. I take it in, examining it until I realize itā€™s her hip crease, and pressed along the back of her thigh, an expanse of pale skin. It takes me a minute to make sense of what Iā€™m seeing. Whoever sheā€™s fucking, heā€™s got her folded in half like her legs are over his shoulders while he nails her into the bed. Thereā€™s no caption, and there are no words even on the messenger, so I have to click on the profile to find an explanation. Apple Cream Pie, $1k/min. Time seems to skip. Some caveman part of me must take over, because the next thing I know itā€™s five minutes later, and Iā€™m five thousand dollars lighter, and Iā€™m slamming my phone against the top of the steering wheel over and over. I feel it crunch and snap, but I keep pounding it until thereā€™s nothing left in my hand, and the pieces of it are scattered across my lap and the floor. Time skips again. Iā€™m in my driveway at home. Blood is dripping down the steering wheel and into my lap.Ā
I open my hand and find pieces of glass jutting from my palm in a dozen places. And all I think about is that day my car was bombed, and Harper tried to pick the glass from my face with her tiny, careful fingers. I climb out of the car. Thereā€™s a black Jaguar parked on the gravel, a tall figure leaning against it. I walked up to him. Something in me seems to have been knocked loose, and I think I might fucking kill him, even though itā€™s just Oliver Finnegan, who never goes inside. He doesnā€™t approve of the family business. ā€œHullo, August,ā€ he says, his Irish accent distorting the words. Or maybe itā€™s the ringing in my ears. ā€œAm I in your spot? I can move the car.ā€ ā€œDonā€™t worry about it.ā€ He cocks his head, his weird, pale eyes taking in the blood on my pants, my hand. ā€œYou alright, mate?ā€ I shrug and head for the house. Just as Iā€™m about to step inside, his brother steps out, a black duffle in one hand, probably full of cash or those fucking pearls everyoneā€™s on about. Colin Fucking Finnegan. My eyes narrow, my fists clenching until I can feel the glass biting deeper, piercing through my skin and into the muscle and sinew. ā€œWas it you?ā€ I grind out. Part of me knows itā€™s impossible, but maybe he sent the photo on his way here, or maybe he took it earlier. I need Baron to find the date signature on a video, if itā€™s even possible. For all I know, Harperā€™s dead, and she took those videos herself while we were together. If sheā€™d sell my dignity for a scholarship, why wouldnā€™t she sell videos of herself fucking 2other guys when she was with me? ā€œWhatever it was, I bet it was me,ā€ Colin says, flashing me a knowing grin that shows off his chipped front tooth. ā€œAre you still sore about that beating you took last spring?ā€ ā€œYou know what itā€™s about.ā€ ā€œIf itā€™s not that, youā€™re pissed you didnā€™t get a cut of this,ā€ he says, jiggling the bag. ā€œDonā€™t fucking push me right now,ā€ I warn. His creepy eyes go smug. ā€œOrā€¦ You still on about that whore? I figured thatā€™s what set you off last spring. Everyone in town knows I fucked her first. Are you just finding out?ā€ ā€œWhere is she?ā€ I demand, grabbing him around the neck and slamming him up against the wall. ā€œWhere the fuck do you have her, you cum guzzling, festering wad of infected dick cheese?ā€ A cocky, defiant grin stretches his lips. ā€œAww, did you catch something off her?ā€ he asks. ā€œWasnā€™t me, mate. I popped that cherry when there were barely three hairs on her pussy. Havenā€™t touched her since.ā€
I donā€™t know exactly what happens next. I donā€™t see Colin Finnegan in front of me anymore. All I see is red. The next thing I know, my brothers and Dad are holding me down on the steps, and Oliver and their uncle are holding Colin back while he curses and struggles and spits. The white gravel is painted red like the day the Darlings vandalized our house, but this time, itā€™s blood. ā€œLet me up,ā€ I growl, shoving off the step and wrenching free of my family. I stalk toward Colin, who writhes like a cat getting a bath. I can feel blood trickling down my face, the jagged edges of a few broken teeth, and the throb of one eye thatā€™s already swelling shut. But I donā€™t feel pain. The other thing that lives inside me has swallowed it, and I canā€™t feel a thing. ā€œCome on,ā€ Colin yells, dancing in the grip of his brother. ā€œLetā€™s do it again. I can go all night. Whoo! I feel alive!ā€ I stop in front of him, ignoring my brothers, who have rushed up behind me to grab me if I lose my shit again. But Iā€™m calm now. ā€œEnjoy it while it lasts,ā€ I say to Colin. My lip is broken and swollen so thick my words come out slurred. ā€œIf I find out youā€™re the one who sent those videos, you wonā€™t be alive much longer.ā€ I turn and walk inside. I donā€™t know why I care. I watched two guys fuck her. I gave them permission. I made sure to watch, so I knew I could never want her again, never think she was mine. I broke her on purpose, but piece by piece, Iā€™m the one falling to pieces.
Harpers POV
ā€œAre you Mr. D?ā€ I demand, standing in the Phantomā€™s bedroom, my whole body quaking. I hold the tag in between my finger and thumb, waving it at him. He just walked out of the shower, his body all steamy, a towel around his hips, mask over his face. He shrugs. ā€œWhat about it?ā€ Anger seethes through me. ā€œThatā€™s how you knew where I was that night. Isnā€™t it?ā€ He opens his dresser and pulls out his underwear. I know where he keeps them. I know where everything in his apartment is. But I didnā€™t know his name, have never seen his face. I come when he calls, practically live here two days a week, like a goddamn whore. He promised heā€™d fuck me one day, and now he has. I donā€™t know why it matters suddenly. I never cared before. He nods vaguely toward the windows. ā€œI keep an eye on things.ā€ ā€œOn me,ā€ I say, sinking onto the edge of the bed. ā€œYou keep an eye on me.ā€ ā€œI told you, I can be anyone you want me to be,ā€ he says with a haughty little smirk. ā€œAs long as youā€™re you, Miss A.ā€ ā€œAs long as Iā€™m Augustā€™s fuck toy,ā€ I correct him. ā€œThatā€™s why you take those pictures, isnā€™t it? To send to him and show him what youā€™ve done to me.ā€ ā€œWhat Iā€™ve done to you?ā€ he asks, turning to face me after pulling on a pair of sweats. They hang low on his narrow hips. Above them, the ridges of his abs are carved deep and sharp. His body is a finely chiseled sculpture. Iā€™ve never noticed, but heā€™s beautiful, even without a face. ā€œWhat about what he did?ā€ He paces forward, stalking, his voice laced with fury that makes me shrink back on the bed, as if he could hurt me more than Iā€™ve been hurt. As if he could take something from me that he hasnā€™t been taking all along. ā€œYou changed me,ā€ I whisper. ā€œI saved you.ā€ I stare up at him, feeling guilty for feeling anything but gratitude. He works out, takes care of himself, wears exquisite clothes to work at his standing desk with three monitors, an ergonomic keyboard, and a fancy Mac computer. Iā€™m the one who should be ashamed. I donā€™t take care of myself until he tells me to. He tells me to shower, puts me in fancy clothes, makes me look like a girl who could be, in some fairytale in his mind, deserving of him. And he treats me like I am.
Ā He cooks me fancy dinners and buys me everything I need or could want without me having to ask. He even took care of my mother. I donā€™t treat him half as well. I donā€™t cook or offer to help clean up. I donā€™t even talk to him when I come over. While he cooks, I sit curled on his fine leather sofa, sipping his fine wine. The only thing I do for him in return for everything heā€™s done is spread my legs. If heā€™s made me a whore, Iā€™ve let him do it. The first day he bought me something, the phone, I could have said no. But I didnā€™t. I let him dress me up like a doll, treat me like property, and fuck me like a whore. If anything, heā€™s shown me he values me more than I value myself. He bought me fucking diamonds. A girl like me, I have no right to even hope for this kind of man, this kind of treatment. Iā€™m lucky to be his whore. But for the first time in months, I want to speak, to voice my desires. ā€œYouā€™re right,ā€ I say. ā€œYouā€™ve treated me well. But Iā€™m done being your whore.ā€ ā€œYouā€™re notā€”ā€ He breaks off, pressing his lips together and shaking his head. ā€œI didnā€™t mean to make you feel that way. Thatā€™s not how I see you, Harper.ā€ ā€œHow do you see me?ā€ He stares at me a long moment. ā€œI just wanted to take care of you,ā€ he says at last. ā€œI saw what they did to you. Youā€™re not the only personā€¦ā€ He shakes his head again. ā€œAnd yeah, I wanted to fuck you to piss off August. Iā€™ll admit that. But I never saw you as a whore. I only gave you what you needed.ā€ ā€œLike these?ā€ I ask, upturning the jewelerā€™s bag. The box falls out, the lid askew, one of the diamonds dangling out the side like something obscene. ā€œFair enough,ā€ he says, moving across the room and sitting heavily on the bottom of the bed. ā€œMaybe I had selfish reasons. But I never thought you owed me.
Ā I know you wonā€™t believe me. I know what I look like. You think I canā€™t get laid unless I buy a girl diamonds. And youā€™re right.ā€ ā€œWhat about your girlfriend?ā€ I ask, my voice thick. He scoffs. ā€œI donā€™t have a girlfriend. Look at me.ā€ ā€œSo you dressed me up and pretended you did,ā€ I say, feeling like some weird blow-up doll. Iā€™ve acted like one. I havenā€™t been a whole person since before the swamp. Iā€™ve been a doll, broken into a million pieces, and heā€™s pieced some of them back togetherā€”at least on the outside. But he canā€™t fix me inside. He can reach in, but he wonā€™t find anything to piece back together. Iā€™m hollow. ā€œI never pretended to be a good guy,ā€ he says. ā€œDonā€™t act shocked that Iā€™m exactly who I was all along.ā€ ā€œBut you never told me who you were,ā€ I point out. ā€œYou never asked.ā€ ā€œI did.ā€ We sat side by side for a while, neither of us speaking. ā€œYou donā€™t want to know who I am,ā€ he says. ā€œLook at me. Look at what Iā€™ve become.ā€ I could say the same thing.Ā
Ā When I tell Mr. D Iā€™m not coming back, he doesnā€™t say anything. But he doesnā€™t get ready to take me home as usual. I ask if heā€™s taking me home, and he says no, but he doesnā€™t stop me when I take his keys. I keep waiting for him to come after me, but he just studies me, his face behind that infuriating blank mask, his one good eye watching me leave. In the garage, I climb into his truck. Iā€™m sure heā€™s going to come down and stop me. My hands are shaking so hard I can barely get the key in. I open the garage on the bottom level of his building, and I drive out. I keep checking the rearview, sure Iā€™ll see him coming after me. But he lets me go. Some sick part of me deflates when I turn into my driveway and heā€™s not there. Not even Mr. D thinks Iā€™m worth hunting down. I climb out of the truck and go inside. Nothing has changed. But everything has. Without the Tuesday and Thursday excursions, I stop leaving the house. I ignore the staff that comes in and cleans my house on a weekly basis. I don't care where they came from or who hired them.
Ā Thereā€™s no point. I Don't even return his truck. It sits like an oversized monster in our driveway, drawing attention from anyone and everyone. I hide the keys inside a tear in my box spring, I sleep with a switchblade in one hand for the nightmares that plague my every waking moment, as if my fall from grace has given them permission to terrorize me, maybe they can smell my brokenness, my weakness, the way I can smell alcohol on Dukeā€™s breath. And even though I was sure I felt nothing all those months, now that I donā€™t see the Phantom, thereā€™s an ache left inside me that he once soothed.Ā
When I wake myself up croaking feebly, from a dream where Iā€™m gagged, silenced as I try to force sound from my strangled throat, there are only blankets to wrap around me instead of his strong, salient arms. I stop leaving the house, stop doing anything. I canā€™t remember why it mattered to be clean, to eat, to live. One evening, as Iā€™m lying corpse like in my bed, a tap sounds at my grimy window. Iā€™m so startled I sit up before my brain can kick in and say what it says about everythingā€”itā€™s not worth it. It doesnā€™t matter. Turning my head I see a crow pecking at the shiny part of my window. Standing up and making my way into the bathroom, I turn on the lights avoiding the mirror. I don't want to look at the girl in the mirror. I just can't.Turning on the hot water in the sink letting it fog up my mirror, I scoop the water with my hands and splash it on my face.
Ā Ā I know I should care but I can't summon the energy. My sponsor is gone. Thereā€™s no way out. Iā€™ve given up, accepted the fact that Iā€™ll be just like my dead beat mother. Turning off the water and raising my head, reluctantly I look back at my reflection, I meet my soulless eyes and stare. I should want to rage against this weak girl that I've become, to become the monster those boys wanted me to be.. Turning off the lights and walking back to my room. Dropping back down into bed, I looked out the grimy window and let out a deep sigh, I can't stay like this broken doll. But I just don't care anymore..
A whileĀ  later, lying in my bed, I think maybe itā€™s time I did.

Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limits: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly, and How to Increase Them
Cash App has become one of the leading digital payment platforms, allowing users to send and receive money quickly and efficiently. As more people rely on Cash App for various financial transactions, understanding the ATM withdrawal limits is crucial for users who want to maximize their access to cash. In this article, weā€™ll dive into Cash Appā€™s daily, weekly, and monthly ATM withdrawal limits and offer tips on how you can increase your withdrawal limits for a seamless experience.
Understanding Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limits
Cash App users have specific withdrawal limits that restrict the amount of cash they can access from ATMs over different timeframes. These limits are put in place by Cash App to ensure the security of user accounts and to comply with regulatory requirements. Here, weā€™ll break down the ATM withdrawal limits on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
1. Daily Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limit
The cash app daily ATM withdrawal limit is the maximum amount a Cash App user can withdraw in a single day. Currently, Cash App restricts ATM withdrawals to $310 per day. This limit applies to each user, meaning even if you have multiple cards linked to your account, you cannot exceed this $310 daily limit.
2. Weekly Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limit
For users who need to access more cash over the span of a week, Cash App weekly withdrawal limit of $1,000. This means you can withdraw up to $1,000 from ATMs in a seven-day period. This limit is cumulative and resets every week, starting from the first withdrawal made within a given week.
3. Monthly Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limit
Cash App monthly withdrawal limit is set at $1,250. This limit applies over a rolling 30-day period, so itā€™s essential to track your transactions to avoid hitting the cap. Similar to daily and weekly limits, this monthly limit is cumulative across all ATM transactions within a given month.
How to Increase Your Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limits
While the default ATM withdrawal limits on Cash App may be restrictive for some users, there are specific steps you can take to increase these limits. By following these methods, you can potentially enjoy higher withdrawal allowances and enhanced account features.
1. Verify Your Cash App Account
Verifying your Cash App account is one of the simplest and most effective ways to increase your withdrawal limits. To do so, follow these steps:
Open Cash App and navigate to your profile.
Select ā€œPersonalā€ and enter your full legal name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
Cash App will process your information and, upon verification, grant you increased transaction limits.
Verification unlocks higher withdrawal and transfer limits, which includes increased ATM withdrawal capabilities.
2. Link a Verified Bank Account
Linking a verified bank account to your Cash App account can improve the legitimacy of your profile and may help with increasing limits. Hereā€™s how to link a bank account:
Go to ā€œBankingā€ on your Cash App home screen.
Select ā€œLink Bankā€ and follow the instructions to connect your bank account.
This verification can add a layer of security and help Cash App recognize your account as trustworthy, potentially boosting your withdrawal limits.
3. Maintain Regular Transaction Activity
Consistently using Cash App for transactionsā€”both sending and receiving fundsā€”demonstrates that you are an active and reliable user. By maintaining a regular transaction pattern, Cash App is more likely to increase your withdrawal limits as a trusted user. Focus on making consistent transactions, including payments, purchases, and money transfers.
Additional Tips to Maximize Cash Access with Cash App
Beyond directly increasing your ATM withdrawal limits, there are other practical tips you can use to maximize cash access with Cash App.
1. Use Cash Back at Retailers
Cash App users can often bypass ATM limits by requesting cash back when making purchases at participating retailers. Many grocery stores, convenience stores, and other retailers allow customers to receive cash back at checkout. This method allows you to obtain cash without impacting your Cash App ATM withdrawal limit.
2. Utilize Other Payment Options
If youā€™re close to reaching your withdrawal limit, consider alternative payment methods within Cash App, such as sending funds to a friend or family member who can then withdraw cash on your behalf. You can also link your Cash App balance to an external account and access cash through that accountā€™s ATM withdrawal capabilities.
3. Consider Other Cash App Features
Cash App offers features like Cash App Card (a customizable debit card) which lets you make purchases wherever Visa is accepted. By using this card directly for purchases, you reduce your need to withdraw cash, effectively extending your ATM access.
Cash App ATM Fees and How to Avoid Them
When using Cash App at ATMs, users are often charged a fee. Currently, Cash App charges a $2.50 fee per ATM withdrawal, although this amount can vary depending on the ATMā€™s provider fees. Cash App offers a solution to waive these fees:
If you have a direct deposit of at least $300 per month, Cash App will automatically reimburse all ATM fees, including Cash App and ATM operator fees, up to three transactions per 31-day period.
This fee reimbursement helps reduce the cost of accessing cash and makes using Cash App at ATMs more economical.
Common Questions about Cash App ATM Withdrawals
1. What Happens if I Exceed My Cash App Withdrawal Limit?
If you attempt to withdraw more than the allowed amount (daily, weekly, or monthly), your transaction will be declined. Exceeding the limit means youā€™ll have to wait until the limit resets on your next cycle.
2. Can I Withdraw from ATMs Without a Cash App Card?
Currently, you must use the Cash App Card to withdraw funds from ATMs. Cash App does not support cardless ATM withdrawals at this time.
3. Are There Limits on Transfers Outside of ATM Withdrawals?
Yes, Cash App also imposes limits on peer-to-peer transfers and sending funds to bank accounts. These limits vary based on whether or not your account is verified. Verifying your account generally increases these limits.
Conclusion: Optimize Your Cash Access with Cash App
Managing your Cash App ATM withdrawal limits effectively can help you access cash conveniently and avoid unnecessary restrictions. By verifying your account, linking a bank account, and consistently using Cash App for transactions, you can work toward increasing your limits and enjoying a more flexible experience. Additionally, take advantage of cash back options at retailers and Cash Appā€™s direct deposit reimbursement offer to make the most of your Cash App account.
