Check hers as well, she’s an amazing writer and friend. 1. What takes up too much of your time? Tumblr, my stupid procrastination prone brain and my thesis. 

2. What makes your day better? Friends and loved ones, music and these absolute dorks (Channie especially) 

3. What’s the best thing that happened to you today? I hopped on the mat today in the early hours of the morning, rain on my window and the neighbours cat peeking at me from his window across the street.

4. What fictional place would you like to go to? Wonderland, bacause it’s “curiouser and curiouser!”

7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? No, but i have a recurring nightmare: the world is made of black and white paper thin layers. I am a paper thin person walking along a street surrounded by paper thin buildings. I walk for a long time, looking up at the white sky. Until the street ends, there is no more building and i fall into the abyss of a blank page.  I have had this dream since the age of 8 or 9 years old. Fear of not being good enough, you say?! Ding, ding, ding!! We got a winner in the back!  8. What musician inspired you the most? I get inspired by music all the time!! One of my all time favourite songs is Spanish Sahara by Foals. Although I maintain good eye contact, I am also timid and will be quieter if there are very energetic people in the group. I also like to tell detailed descriptions of everything... Couldn’t you tell? 13. Do you still talk to your first love? I’ll text him on his birthday and he does the same to me. We met when we were 10 years old and that childhood friendship remains. But regarding my one and truly deep relationship, no we do not talk, unless we randomly meet.

The first love who was just an idealized crush on my childhood friend: we dated for 2 weeks during summer break xD Then my first real boyfriend, we met in my first year at university, dated for quite some time, he really loved me and made me love myself a little more. Finally the one i loved too much. I mended his wounds and made him love himself as much as I did. I always say all the love we feel makes our hearts grow bigger. I do not regret loving any of them, I am me now due to them and I would not change it if I could. 15. How many songs are in your playlist? I have way too many playlists for each and every mood... But my favourite songs list on spotify has about 1500 songs! uwu!  16. What instruments can you play? Triangles and flute?! I had mandatory music classes in school... so in reality I can’t really play a instrument...

You know when it’s really cold outside in the winter and you manage to find a sheltered place where no wind can hit you and you still get to feel the warm rays of the winter suns on your skin? Trying to finish my thesis and trying to find what I want to do after. It’s liberating but also pretty scary. 23. What’s the worst decision you ever made? It’s a series of small decisions really. It started with going for a phd with the same people i worked in my msc. Should have gone to a different place. Then deciding to come home after a traumatic loss in the family. Should have kept my life going but I stalled it then. (I don’t regret helping my loved ones though).

Klaine fic - “The Summoning - Part 2″ (Rated NC17)

Kurt has just been jilted by his long-time boyfriend for the last time, and he’s going to do something about it. (2851 words this chapter)

So, I know that this story has kind of been on hiatus, but after seeing Darren Criss as The Music Meister on The Flash, it kind of kicked my brain back into gear. “Who … who are you?” Kurt pulls his hand from the man’s grasp and a strange spark of pain arises from letting go. Kurt’s hand wants to go back, wants to hold this man’s hand. Still, Kurt takes a step back, then another as he thinks of a way to escape. What spell can he use? What incantation will distract this man so he can make a break for it? “Why are you here?”

“Like I said,” the man says, picking debris off the sleeves of his black coat, “my name is Blaine. And I’m here because you summoned me.”

“Th-that’s … that’s impossible,” Kurt argues, walking backward through the door to his living room. If he can make it to the fire escape, then maybe … “I’m … I’m not strong enough to summon a person.”

“Oh darling” - Blaine smiles, sinister but sensual, dangerous yet dapper - “you have no idea how strong you truly are.”

“It wouldn’t matter if I was strong or not,” Kurt says, steadily moving away but finding that he doesn’t necessarily want to retreat so badly. The more Blaine talks, the less Kurt wants to be far from him. “You can’t possibly exist. I can’t conjure flesh and blood from thin air. I can’t create a person.”

Blaine pauses his pursuit to adjust his cuffs. “Well, I’m not exactly a person.” He peeks up at Kurt through long lashes, hears Kurt’s mind working in the silence.

“Then … then what are you?” Kurt shakes his head to erase a few ideas he knows can’t be possible.

“You might call me a demon.” Blaine shrugs. “You might not. The truth is, I have many names, none of which matter because the only name you need to know me by is Blaine, and with any luck” – Blaine takes Kurt’s hand again and brings it to his lips, kissing his knuckles at the pause between his words. The touch of Blaine’s skin against his makes Kurt feel sublimely whole – “you’ll be saying it over … and over … and over.”

“I don’t … I don’t understand,” Kurt stammers, too baffled to catch on, even with the help of Blaine’s suggestive tone and his lust blown eyes. Mesmerizing eyes. Eyes that abandon their golden hue and become almost black, pulsing with a hypnotic blue radiance, a shade that mirrors the color of Kurt’s eyes. But before Blaine can explain in more detail, or demonstrate (as he wants to do), his gaze falls on something that makes his brow pinch and his eyes burn with a crimson flame.

“Is this him!?” Blaine growls, dropping Kurt’s hand and grabbing a framed picture off the mantel. “Is this the asshole who broke your heart!? I’ll tear him to pieces! I’ll rip the flesh from his bones and leave him in the desert for the vultures to finish off!”

Kurt watches in horror as the glass in the frame warps beneath the demon’s gaze, the corner of the photograph underneath turning black and smoking.

“No!” Kurt snatches the frame back. He blows on the glass to cool the fire, then hugs it to his chest, keeping the image out of Blaine’s sight. “No, that’s … that’s my stepbrother, Finn. And he’s a wonderful, amazing person who’d never hurt anyone, so you … you leave him alone!”

“Are you sure, Kurt?” Blaine asks, less skeptical than amused. “Because I can tell if what you say is the truth. I’m a part of you. I know your thoughts. I can feel your desires, your honesty, your lies ...”

Offended, Kurt pulls himself straight. “So, tell me, demon, am I lying?” he asks. He doesn’t appreciate being doubted like this, not by a demon, and not in his own home. He stares Blaine down with defiance in his eyes. Kurt knows little about demons, but the ones he’s read about tend to play tricks, even on those they claim loyalty to. They cause mischief for the fun of it – mischief that can be deadly. But they also respect power. If this demon says Kurt has power, a power he himself has not realized, then he’ll use it.

Blaine quirks a brow, his skepticism turning to anger, but his amusement spreading. “No,” he decides with a nonchalant sniff. “No, you’re not.”

“Good.” Kurt’s voice shakes even though he prayed it wouldn’t. “Then as long as we have that settled ...” Kurt goes to put the frame back in its place on the mantel, then re-thinks himself and stuffs it behind the sofa cushion, out of sight, which then leads Kurt to ask himself how did they make their way to the sofa so quickly?

“Don’t you worry, darling …” A seductive smile pulls Blaine’s lips, that spellbinding glow returning to his eyes “… I won’t harm a single hair on his, or anyone else’s head, who hasn’t done you wrong. You have my word.”

“And how much is your word worth?” Kurt asks, not seeming to notice that he’s being herded, backed over to the sofa and now sitting down. “You’re a demon, and demons are evil, aren’t they? How do I know I can trust you?”

“It’s not so black and white as all that,” Blaine says, maneuvering in front of Kurt, kneeling on the floor between his legs. “Like I said, you summoned me. You created me. I am part of you. So, my word is your word. There is goodness inside of me, just as there is darkness inside of you.”

Kurt shakes his head. He has an answer to that, an argument, but he can’t seem to vocalize it. Trying to voice it feels like being drunk and trying to sing the lyrics to “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General”. This man’s voice - this demon’s voice - siphons away his will. Sunday August 13th will go down in history as one of the great food days of my life. It started when I realized that Austin had a VooDoo Doughnuts, and Bryan happily accommodated my interest into his carefully planned itinerary (https://www.voodoodoughnut.com/). I had never been to any of their locations before, but its reputation for bizarre donuts preceded it, so we got in the very long, Sunday morning line to give ‘em a try.

They didn’t have a huge selection that late on a Sunday morning, and it was difficult to select a donut once we got to the front because the donuts were on rotating display cases that didn’t have labels! But we did our best, and Bryan came away with what ex post facto research indicated was the “McMinnville Cream:” a yeast donut filled with Bavarian cream and topped not only with maple glaze, but also with eyes and a mustache.

Danielle had the “No Name,” a yeast donut topped with chocolate frosting, smothered with Rice Crispies, and drizzled with peanut butter.

Rob had this (blurry!) old fashioned glazed donut - admittedly not the kind of thing that most people go to VooDoo for I’m sure. It was tasty, but I preferred my yeast donut with chocolate frosting. I could have gotten something crazier I’m sure, but I kind of panicked under the time pressure when we got up to order and just went with something that looked familiar. It was definitely not a bad choice - the yeast donut was super light and fluffy, and the frosting had a really nice chocolate flavor. Solid take on a classic.

Overall, I’d say my beloved Stan’s Donuts edges out VooDoo; VooDoo may win for creativity and outrageousness (you should seriously ogle their online menu), but I think Stan’s has really got the substance. Gourdough’s just might blow them both out of the water (http://omnomwithrob.tumblr.com/post/168000152787/i-dont-know-where-tex-come-from), but it might not be worthwhile to pit them against each other - Gourdough’s seems like an entirely different planet of donuts. Anyway, truth be told, we only nibbled on our donuts that morning, taking care not to fill up and saving leftovers for later. This was an exercise in self-control, but one that was bound to be worth it come lunchtime.

The #1 thing Rob and I wanted to do while in Austin was eat at Franklin Barbecue (https://franklinbbq.com/), arguably the best barbecue in the country, and most likely the best brisket in the country. Even at 21 weeks pregnant, I was prepared to wait in the Texas heat in the inevitable 3-4 hour line for it, but Bryan, true friend, placed our order days in advance so it would be ready for us to pick up when we arrived! And then? He bought our baby a Franklin Barbecue onesie while our food was being fetched. Friendship is real! 

We took our heavy, meat-laden bags to Danielle’s place of business to eat. Opening those bags? Like Christmas morning.

Bryan hadn’t bothered with sides (no qualms), so we piled our plates high with brisket, ribs, sausage, and smoked turkey (a favorite of Bryan’s). The brisket, not surprisingly, was sublime. Imagine if meat were candy - fat, succulent candy on the inside with a thick, scrumptious bark on the outside. Both of these components were incredible - so few briskets get even one of those right! The ribs were nice and tender but reminded me more of Carolina style in flavor profile, the sausage smelled nice and garlicky but didn’t pack as much of a punch as I thought it would, and the smoked turkey was delicious, but did require a little sauce in my opinion to help it live its best life. But honestly, I just kept going back to that brisket - I loved a bite with a little sauce, onion, and pickle. And speaking of the sauce, Bryan had actually gotten us a bottle of Franklin’s delicious espresso barbecue sauce as a wedding gift, but I think I might have liked whatever that other, more traditional sauce was that we got with this meal even better. Perfectly sweet, savory, and spicy, especially with a cold Dr. Pepper on the side - a treat I don’t allow myself very often as a sacred vessel these days.

What an incredible meal. I loved it and our lunch from Black’s the day before so much! Rob appeared spiritually moved by the experience and felt strongly that Franklin’s was the better of the two - I could just see his ever-expanding mental Rolodex of interests expanding as he marveled at Franklin’s brisket and how it was made, but I was just so happy to get two doses of Texas brisket in 24 hours that I couldn’t choose a favorite. Thankfully, I don’t have to! We then dropped off our leftovers at Bryan and Danielle’s and shopped along South Congress for a while to burn off lunch. Speaking of burn, it was plenty hot out, so Danielle and I coerced the boys into stopping for ice cream at Amy’s Ice Cream (http://amysicecreams.com/).

Danielle ordered the strawberry lime sorbet with gummy bears - I didn’t get a photo of it, but it was a wise, cool decision for a warm day. I just can’t help it, I can’t order sorbet when ice cream is the alternative - Bryan was a little more on my level with his bowl of Amy’s famous Mexican vanilla ice cream topped with butterscotch and cookie dough.

Rob loves cinnamon ice cream but generally can’t find it, so he was delighted to see that one of their specials that day was Mexican vanilla with cinnamon! What a rare and delicious combination for him.

With that “when in Rome” feeling, I too ordered the Mexican vanilla. I was worried that it wouldn’t taste any different from regular vanilla, but it did! This is going to sound strange, but it tasted to me like a coffee Lip Smacker smells, and it was amazing, especially with a sprinkling of brownies I added. Because chocolate is important to me. Loved it.

The decision to ice cream of course left us stuffed to the gills, so we rolled ourselves home to Bryan and Danielle’s to relax for a while. We went back into town around dusk for an activity I couldn’t have anticipated - we were going to watch thousands of bats fly out from under a bridge! I had no idea that a huge colony of bats lives under the Congress Avenue Bridge, that they all fly out at once every evening from March-November, and that Austin is referred to as “Bat City” for this reason (read more here! http://austinot.com/guide-bat-season-in-austin). So what the heck, we watched some bats! Nature!

After the bats, we barhopped a bit, waiting for our appetites to return (let it be known that Austin bars have plenty of Topo Chico for those not drinking!). Our tummies finally started rumbling again pretty late at night, and I thought it would be a fun opportunity to partake of yet another fun Austin tradition - food trucks! They’re everywhere, any time, and when we found Via 313 behind our last bar of the night, we decided to give their Detroit-style square pizzas a try (http://via313.com/).

After placing our order, we waited inside the bar for our Sicilian squares to appear - they took some time due to their thick crusts, but they would be worth the wait. Behold, “the Detroiter,” with its double dose of pepperoni - one layer of smoked pepperoni beneath the cheese, and another layer of natural casing pepperoni on top.

In an effort to get my baby a vegetable that day, we also ordered “the Omnivore,” with mushrooms, onions, green peppers, pepperoni, and sausage - your usual supreme pizza toppings. Both pizzas were so, so good - the red sauce was super hearty, and I loved the thick, caramelized crust that was reminiscent of Pequod’s, our favorite Chicago deep dish (http://omnomwithrob.tumblr.com/post/166343702577/call-me-ishmael).

Donuts. Brisket. Ice Cream. Pizza. An irresponsible vacationer’s menu to be sure, but I’m not sure I can dream up a day of cuisine I love more. And such diversity among these meals - donuts from a shop that originated in Portland, true-blue Texas barbecue, Mexican vanilla ice cream, and Detroit-style pizza. Bryan, whose recommendations were fantastic for our entire trip, were really in their element that day in the culinary melting pot that is Austin, Texas. Rob and I have probably never been happier.
