Something I think is underrated about Jane's a car is how close Dylan's face is to the camera the whole time.

Just look at him. Nobody else is getting nearly that close to the camera, at least not constantly like Dylan is. Idk if it was on purpose, but it gives the vibe that you're face-timing with your depressed uncle who doesn't know wtf is going on, which really matches Tom's energy throughout the entire episode, so I'm choosing to believe it was a character choice.

My dad only knew Dylan from Jane's a Car, and he just saw a picture of him playing a different guy in another StarKid show.

His exact words after I explained it was the car fucker were "That's the car fucker? Wait, he's a legitimate actor?"

I really want Jane from hatchetfield to appear in a work as not an antagonist or a memory. In Jane’s a car she’s the villain, in TGWDLM and Black Friday she’s just the memory and when you’re grieving someone you often idealize them.

Based on what Tom says with “She used to like Bars. She used to loosen me up just to get at my heart. She’d poke at each wound to see what I’d say” Jane has the bad habit of sometimes treating him like an experiment. Knocking down his guard to psychoanalyze him. But we also know that she seen as very caring and confident.

Emma and Tom always feel inferior to her when they’re grieving. She was a good planner she was put together. She always knows what she’s doing and does it perfectly. I want to see a version of her that isn’t in her worst state of mind and isn’t an idealized memory. Can @the-real-team-starkid do that for me

"Got my foot on the gas" will forever be hilarious but the rest of the music video is absolutely sending me because it just looks like they found Dylan in the wild and got a bunch of footage of him idling around

I love how useless the men in hatchetfield are. Emmas the one coming up with ideas to keep them alive, lex pulls tom out of it, Becky actually kills linda, and grace sacrifices her soul.

The men are there to sacrifice themselves for their ladies and thats about it, and i love them for it.

You think Jane's a Car was bad for you? Imagine it from Becky's perspective.

For the first time in a long time, Becky feels safe. Stanley is dead, she's reconnected with her highschool sweetheart, and now he's even introducing her to his kid.

She runs into Tom at the book store, tries to be cute, but he's not having it. Okay, that's fine, everyone has their off days. And he's researching hearing voices?? A little weird, but okay...

Then Tom shows up at her house. As he rambles about things that don't make sense. But that's not what's scary. He starts talking about his dead wife—wait, did he dig up his wife's corpse? He says his dead wife wants him to kill people, that he almost killed someone today.

And even though she killed him, it's like Stanley's still here. Becky can see it, that same crazed look in Tom's eye. Terrified, she smiles and nods, humouring him. This is the same Tom she loves and trusts. He is the one, she's known it since highschool. Only now he's talking about killing her, and she realizes that the man she trusted is having a psychotic breakdown in her living room.

He storms off, and Becky follows him outside. But he's already in the car, and with complete horror, Becky realizes he's about to run her down.

She won't die. Not after everything's she's lived through. She refuses to, so she runs to the Witchwood, the very same Witchwood Stanley chased her into with a knife. She thinks about Stanley, and she hears the car behind her, and for a second, they are one and the same. She will never be able to rest. She can never stop running.

She could climb a tree, like she did with Stanley, but could she? What she saw up there is worse than death. She won't put herself through it again.

So she runs from the man who swore he loved her. Only now there is no carotid to stab, only cold, unforgiving metal. The chase goes on, and then, it's over.

Her body lives, but Becky Barnes dies on the floor of the Witchwood, alone and terrified. Her death was a perfect mirror of her greatest trauma, and her last action was to try and escape a man she loved.

Jane's A Car from Tom's perspective is zany. Jane's A Car from Becky's perspective is horrifying.

Paul being Tim's uncle means everything in the world for Emma's relationship with her family can we talk about that

offscreen, at least in the timeline of Jane's A Car, Emma's successfully become an integrated enough part of her family for them to consider her boyfriend family too. Paul's an influence that Tim refers back to. Emma has established an active role in Tim's life by implication and I am once again BEGGING the langs to let us SEE IT-
