Recap: Strangetown Round 5 (Summer) - part 2

Next up: the Grunt house! Buzz’s girlfriend, Mary-Sue, recently moved in along with her dog, Roux. Buzz’s own dog, Rebel, is a similar breed. Tank moved back here after college, too!

Buck home for the summer right now, but will be off to college soon.

He still feels a little upset about his break up with Delta Land, even though it was a while ago the wound still feels fresh for him… he likes his new girlfriend Beatrice Monty a lot too, probably more than he ever actually liked Delta, but… feelings can be complicated.

Beatrice comes over, bring Ripp Grunt along with her!

Ripp ends up catching up with Tank, who just got promoted to State Assemblyperson.

...While Buck and Beatrice enjoy some privacy.

Mary-Sue has her usual poor luck at work, losing $4000 dollars in investmets, but Buzz more than makes up for it when he brings home $55,000 as a reward for his action-movie-like heroism!

The Grunts are pretty rich these days! Buzz has more than enough money to help Tank with purchasing his own place, once the boy is ready. He hopes Tank finds a nice girl to settle down with, but he’s not holding his breath.

Tank’s had a persistant want to fall in love with Virginia Beech, so invites her out swimming. After seeing his old flame Stella tying the knot, he was starting to think settling down sounded nice. He just needed to find the right girl! Someone loyal, supportive, down to earth, and a good listener. Maybe that could be Virginia? He’d always liked Ginny, but they’d only started spending time together more often recently.

On Virginia’s part, she was slightly regretting going steady with Joshua. Tank was so hot, sooooo her type. And he’d asked her out! Maybe she ought to have been keeping her options open…

Buzz and Buck attempt a bit of father-son bonding.

Mary-Sue finally falls in love with Buzz, and declares it.

The family have one last breakfast together, before it’s time for Buck to head away to college.

He moves to SSU's Landgraab House Dorms, where he's joined by college-aged Chastity Gere & Gabriel Green.

The Grunts are followed by the Curious household - which consists of throuple Lazlo, Erin & Penny and their many children. Pascal and Tycho may have moved out recently, but things at the observatory are as chaotic as ever!

Penny and Lazlo get right to work on brining more chaos to an already-full house.

Erin decides it's time for Bear Beaker to meet his bio-daddy, Darren Dreamer.

Darren’s not happy about having been kept in the dark until now, and he’s not impressed with Erin’s excuses that they were just “super busy”, but, nonetheless, he has another son now. And he’s keen to be more involved in Bear’s life! He’ll have to talk to Brandi about this, though…

Cosmo Curious (Erin & Lazlo) and Street Weiss (Penny & Rhett Hart) both have birthdays!

At the party, Tycho is immediately enamoured with Street's half-sister, Mimi.

Penny has the nerve to give birth to twins, Kepler & Lovelace. (I was fuming about the twins! The family is constantly sleep deprived as it is and I had just finished renovating the nursury to accomodate 3 babies/toddlers, lmao.)

The new nursury is pretty adorable, though.

Bear grows up, too...

And that's it! I had to cut a lot of stuff out of their recap just to keep it reasonable, haha. So many babies and birthdays!

Sims 4 Save + Mod Folder

Sul Sul! I have been working on this save file for a while now, however because I will be primarily playing Sims 3 and will not be purcahsing anymore content for sims 4, I have decided to release this prematurily. It is not complete; some households not having family trees or lore implications, incomplete lore edits, unfinished stories or lore, un-edited lots or worlds and so on. Willowcreek is the only complete world. Regardless, maybe someone else will enjoy the work i have done so far or will pick up where i left off.

Game Additions:

Willowcreek: World edit done by me (crumplebottom house is Gallery). Bella is still missing with Mortimer on his death bed. Cassandra Goth is struggling to pick back up her life after her divorce with Don Lothario. The Goth manor is Haunted and packed with relatives ready for haunting fun. Agnes is somehow still kicking (but not Swinging. Cottage Living not included) Library equipped with Books. Added a Cat-Cafe :)

Oasis Springs: Restored Landgraab family tree between Johnny Zest and Landgraabs. Restored Caliente and Lothario homes from Sims 2. Dina Caliente is a Widow to Michael Bachelor. Includes Bowling Alley and old church/wedding venue (pride flags included bc its not that kinda church)

San Myshuno: Spice Market District edited and includes a nightclub. Two Vampirs and a Vampire club added to mimic "Late Night" Sims 3 and reference "Vampire: The Masquerade" Incomplete lore/plotline following the Vampires "Goth" (Ventrue Ref.) and "Pleasant"(Malkavian Ref.)

Glimmerbrook: Full world Edit via Gallery. All Spellcasters edited. L. Faba facelifted and made to be fae-like. Morgyn is still faithfully non-bionary and given a fae-like facelife. Wardrobe edited to be more androgynes. New Family added with ancient bloodline (?) and incomplete lore/plotline.

Moonwood Mill: Full world Edit via Gallery. Library Equipped with Books.

Britechester: Full world Edit via me. Dorms are now gender-restricted and include a Kitchenette. The on campus houses now function as club restricted unisex dorms. Library equipped with course books and skill books along with large computer lab. central houses are more european (despite the awfully hideous building gaps and huge empty space bc EA employees have never seen pictures of european towns or cities before. Windenburg has the same painful issue) Angela and Lillith Pleasant have no family tree but have been visually restored.

Windenburg: World edit done by me and Gallery. Living spaces have been massively shrunk and space has been conserved. The entire island has been bulldozed with a "shell" lot as decor and the ruins being left alone. Houses are small and there are no "kitchens and separate dinning rooms" because thats a waste of space utility. Includes a Restaurant and Reading-Cafe. Missing the ability to have Lüften. Very Sadg. very cringe.

StrangerVille: World edit done by me and Gallery. Bella II says hello.

Landgraab House Dorms has always been the spot for every student that can’t afford an expensive rental home on campus - or don’t want to. Angela for example only stayed because of her fiance Dustin. Others - like graduate Dixie Land - can’t wait to finally get the f*** out of here!

But trouble rears its ugly head when pink flashing arrives, hahaha. You and me both, Buck. 

(Naturally the game crashed right after this outing, which is just what happens to my game if I play it for like 4+ hours... but I’ll be checking in with Buck & his new friends again soon enough!)

I think this could potentially be controversial, but I made student versions of Chastity Gere & Gabriel Green and added them to the dorms, too! It always gets boring, for me, playing lone sims at college. I miss all the college premades being around to befriend! I think these two work well as students. (and adding them will prevent future-me thinking it’s a good idea to add the “full” Belladonna Cove later, haha)

Buck wonders how Jill is doing, before his mind turns to some of his brothers’ ill-fated relationships. Was he likely to find love at college himself? Or would it probably be a waste of time - with them just breaking up in the end anyway?

“What about him?” Gabriel gestured at River, who’d just walked in. “Is he your type?”

“Sure, he could be. I’ll have to get to know him. Either of you boys coming with me to say hi?”

Buck and Gabriel glanced at each other, shifting uncomfortably.

“Uh...”

“I mean, I’m good...”

“Let me, um, just get a drink first?”

Chastity groaned. “You’re both useless! Fine, I’ll go talk to him myself.”

“So do you have a girlfriend, or, uh, boyfriend?” Gabriel asked Buck one day over pancakes. They’d taken to eating together often as of late - the two were both night owls who kept odd hours, so they’d always bump into each other when the other students were sleeping. Gabriel was always good company, Buck was finding.

“I had a girlfriend, but I guess we broke up when I left for college? Said she didn’t want me waiting around for her, so... yeah. What about you?”

“Yeah, I’m single. But you probably guessed that, right? Me and Chastity dated for a bit back in high school, but it didn’t really work out.”

“Oh, I’m sorry. What happened?”

“Well, it turned out I was gay, haha. It’s cool though, we’re still best friends. Now we check out guys together! Do you like guys?” Gabriel was trying to sound casual, but Buck got the vibe he wasn’t just asking out of simple curiosity.

“I don’t, sorry,” he replied, before kicking himself mentally. ‘Sorry?’ That sounded so presumptuous! “I’m straight, I think?”

“That’s cool, dude, it’s cool. Listen, me and Chastity were going to go clubbing tonight, want to come along and wingman for us?”

“I’d probably be a lousy wingman.”

“Haha, we’re both pretty bad at it too. Come on! It’ll be fun.”

For some reason they spent like half the dinner talking about how how Mary Hart (from Widespot) is. Gabriel is gay, and surely hasn’t even met her? But I’m sure she’d be flattered a bunch of college students think she’s a MILF, lol

Beatrice didn’t want Buck waiting for her while he was at college, so he’s trying to put himself out there. He actually got along really well with this dormie! I generally try not to let my playables become too close to townies and dormies, but idk. Perhaps it’ll be a nice change of pace from every playable student dating and cheating on each other constantly? 🤣 We’ll give her a chance!

And... quick college interlude to check in on Buck! His aging-up outfit made him look like a middle aged policeman, so I gave him more of a hipster-y drama-kid college version of the shirt-and-suspenders look. I think it really suits him :D

I did move him into the drama-oriented Landgraab House Dorms. Buck’s shy and serious, but I figured with his high fashion interest and “pet stylist to the stars” bio he’d be right at home...

Another night, another party oppotunity! The trio have a little more luck meeting new people at Chestnut Park.

“Phew, that was scary!”

“I know, right? Thank God we grabbed these omlettes in time. I can’t stand burned eggs.”

The club is completely dead (save for the unsavory charlatan), which was pretty unlucky! But Buck and Gabriel hang out together and make their own fun. Having the whole bar to themselves, Buck even plucks up the courage to try going on stage!

“I can’t believe he’s not gay!” Chastity exclaimed, once they were out of earshot.

“I told you, you shouldn’t assume.”

“I guess it would have been awkward if you’d made a move on him at the club without checking first.” She mused.

“Yeah. On the plus side, that means you could make a move?”

“Eh,” she pulled a face, “he’s not really my type.”
