Sitcom Sinclairs headcanons…

I’m coming down from an anxious day, so here is some content for Bo, Vincent and Lester in my little universe with an s/o with anxiety. Self projecting? Perhaps, we shall see.

Bo…

• His gut instinct is to laugh directly in your face at first, or tell you to “grow a pair”.

•But he’s in therapy now! The man is plus one green flag (because any man who goes to therapy has a green flag, in my mind).

•So now he stops himself before it comes out.

•He’s not great at the whole “soft, mushy, comforting” deal, but he’ll go easier on you if you’re having one of your days.

•If he finds you having an attack, thats an entirely different story. His therapist taught him some grounding techniques which he will gladly walk through with you.

•Once you’ve calmed down he’ll leave, only to return with ice cream or some home cooked Southern comfort food. Please be nice, he put his whole heart into those fried green tomatoes. That gumbo is made with his blood, sweat and tears.

•As you both eat, he’ll put one of your favorite movies on the working TV.

•One armed side hug the whole time. Tightens his grip if he feels you begin to shake or breathe a little heavier.

•Anxious s/o? Slap some affirmations on that human and give them food.

Vincent…

•Again, plus one green flag.

•While he might not always understand your specific cause of anxiety, he will try. He understands what anxiety is like.

•If you’re in the middle of an attack, he’ll ask (in his own special and unique way) if you’d like him to stay or to give you space.

•Also not the best at standard means of comfort.

•Will disappear before joining you, only to return with a cup of tea and a weighted blanket. Will request that you don’t ask how he obtained the blanket. Don’t worry about it. Also don’t worry about putting it on, he’s already wrapping it around you like a cocoon.

•Will listen as long as you need, will let you wait out the waves of nerves resting on his lap as he sketches or plays with your hair (only if you agree, but he knows firsthand how relaxing and comforting it can be to have your hair played with). Don’t look at his sketches, they’re definitely not you. Totally.

•If you don’t want to talk about it, he’ll try to find another way for you to get it out. He has suggestions, but if you have other ideas he’s all ears and ready to get whatever you need.

•Speaking of getting whatever you need.. Southern comfort food makes it’s not-so-surprising return! Made with love by the twins. He will watch you and make sure you eat until you are comfortably full.

•Overall, he’s comforting by just being there, in silent support. He might not speak much, but he will make sure you know that you are safe, that you are loved dearly, and that he is always there for you.

Lester…

•His s/o is having a rough day? Hold the phone, he’s on his way. Will undoubtedly enter and announce his presence with “have no fear, Lester is here!”

•To be frank, if you’re having anxiety he’s probably anxious for a split second just because you are.

•Will make sure you are as comfortable as humanly possible while he sets to getting your mind off of your anxiety.

•If you need to talk it out, he’s there in a minute. Don’t want to talk and just need comfort and a redirection of the mind? Bam, he’s there with it.

•I think Lester would have a small house, meaning a small kitchen, you can see and smell the food he’s cooking. Oh, whats this? Southern comfort food? Wow, what a surprise.. (he’s a good chef, but he’s still nervous you wont like it. Please reassure him).

•Will put on old cassettes to watch to help distract you.

•Bonus: Jonesy snuggles.

•He’ll tell you stories to help distract you and make you laugh, like funny anecdotes about his brothers (don’t tell them he told you).

•You don’t have to do anything for the rest of the day. Just kick back and relax, Lester has it all under control. He just wants you to feel comfortable and to rest so you can feel better, in whatever way that means for you.

Your Hannibal lector’s younger sibling!!

Don’t ask me how this relationship happened, probably along the lines of another slasher get together😍 let’s say Hannibal was hosting another dinner party and the slashers came along, but you were currently visiting Hannibal that week.

You already knew a few people, including Vincent! But hey who is this big angry dude standing next to him, oh wait THATS BO👏👏👏👏

That’s when it started, you and Bo both liked each other and eventually got together.

Now most importantly what would Hannibal think of this?

Hannibal’s protectiveness isn’t to strong, but he constantly reminds you of the consequences of dating somebody. He still is quite protective of you though

He doesn’t mind that you are dating Bo, he just doesn’t want you to get hurt. He knows Bo can get angry sometimes and doesn’t want you to be hurt from that.❤️

Hannibal would invite Bo over to his dinner parties.

“Bo… you’ve got to eat something..” “No, how do I know it’s not human meat!!”😤

Hannibal doesn’t like bo’s hygiene. He brings dirt in the house… and all over his suits.😰

If you ever got into an argument about something with Bo, Hannibal would arrive and give you two couple therapy😌

“This is stupid-“ “Now mr Sinclair, did you have something to say..?”

Now if Bo ever yelled at you and hurt your feeling, Hannibal would let you stay at his place. Comforting you and giving you advise. Then he would give Bo a polite talking to..😃 but if Hannibal was really REALLY angry, be prepared for Hannibal to sort things out more… physically.

He is a flirt and Is more so when Hannibal is around, just to annoy him ya know?

“I would rather not have you two sucking each other faces off in my living room.” 🙄

Overall Hannibal is supportive.

Now to Bo, what would he think about this

At first, he was freaked out. He’s a bit intimidated by hannibal although he would never admit it… he hates being intimidated by anyone.

He is shocked when he first discovered who you were related to, “Never knew he had a sibling, a beautiful/handsome one at that-“ 🥵

Now.

If you like the same dishes as Hannibal… he’s not gonna be your lunch date-

“That ain’t animal meat- it’s disgusting!”

Yeah that wouldn’t go to well.

You get along with Lester and Vincent as well!! They both love you!

Bo can easily get annoyed at Hannibal’s politeness as well 😂

Your naturally a really good cook, so don’t be shocked if the boys asked you to sometimes cook for them because… let’s face it, they can’t cook🥲 (pls tell me this emoji is new… I have never noticed it?)

Hannibal always got on with Vincent. He appreciates his art.

In a weird sense, Hannibal quite likes the human wax figures, it’s another “Art form of the body”😌

Overall a good relationship👍

House of Wax but the Sinclairs discovered therapy so now its a sitcom.

The living situation is the same, but they’re just a bunch of normal guys who live off the grid (good for them).

•Bo still works on cars and operates the gas station, Vincent still does art (added bonus that he now gets commissions on occasion) and Lester still does… that.

•Bo is not allowed to cook all of the time, because when he does its TV dinners or mac n’ cheese. It gets old after a while.

•Friday nights are movies and pizza (Bo found a working TV at a second hand store, so they all went around and bought a bunch of movies + all of the seasons of The Joy of Painting). Bo ordered pineapple on pizza once to be a menace and Vincent punched him in the nose for it.

���maybe once or twice a year, every year, Bo and Vincent have to save Lester from accidentally joining an MLM from someone who passed through Ambrose. (“Listen, I know it sounds all well and good when they tell you about it but-“ “M-L-M BAD. YOU NOT JOIN. FINISHED.” “But” [in unison] “no.” “NO.”)

•I know that other people have made the meme from Two and a Half Men with the Sinclair brothers (the one that says ‘well if you forgot it, it probably wasn’t that important’) and thats a frequent occurrence.

•Lester drags his brothers on road trips now (this is encouraged by every involved party’s therapist.) but they’ve grown to tolerate enjoy them. Bo likes to sweet talk the poor women in the towns they visit and to goof off with his brothers, which is also a bonus for the two of them (but Vincent wont admit that). Vincent likes seeing all of the scenery, and trying to commit it to memory so he can paint or sketch it out later. He once sat for three hours on a bench sketching at the grand canyon while Bo and Lester were left to their own devices (they tried to climb a tree and got stuck).

•Holiday parties, every holiday, every year. They go all out. It’s truly quite the sight.

•chia pets. Bo has a Willie Nelson chia pet, Lester has a hedgehog, and Vincent has Bob Ross.

•Bo forces everyone to watch football. Vincent hates it. Superbowl season is his least favorite time of year.

•Bo drags Vincent out of the house once a month, aside from therapy appointments and Lester’s road trips. (“You’re a hermit.” “No, Im just selective of who I interact with.” “…thats.. thats a hermit.” “[pulls out dictionary] actually I- oh.” )

•Vincent’s workspace is littered with Bob Ross merchandise. Posters with his phrases, replication paintings from when he and his brothers watched it, even a life sized cardboard cutout. Bo is a little creeped out at this point.

•Radio is everyone’s best friend.

•when they were younger, Bo went out and bought an old banged up truck with money he that got fixing up other cars and odd jobs around the area. The trio always used to go out on weekends and race around the countryside. It started when Lester was about 13. Bo would purposefully drive recklessly through old farmland, whipping around turns as music blared from the radio so loud that whoever was sitting in the truck bed could hear it as they were jostled around. When Lester was younger, but begged to sit in the back, Vincent would join him to act as his human seatbelt which was shockingly effective, all things considered. Its a fond memory for all of them, and sometimes, every so often, they’ll all pile into Bo’s old truck and relive it.

•Bo and Vincent got “Im with stupid” shirts when they were younger, and they still have them. Yes, they both still wear them, to each other’s chagrin. (“[staring at Vincent wearing the shirt] why did we spend our allowance on this at 14..” “[shrugs nonchalantly]”)

•despite the fact that Bo is notorious for just making TV dinners, he is actually a very good cook, as is Lester. Sometimes, if Vincent is particularly pesky about it, or if he recruits Lester into it, Bo can be convinced to cook a decent meal that actually takes effort.

•On a related note, Vincent is exceptionally good at reverse psychology. He’s also highly skilled at “puppy dog eyes” but he’d rather use reverse psychology. He finds Bo’s reactions very amusing.

•Both Bo and Vincent like to bake, and Lester always loves when they do.

•Bo and Lester like to go to carnivals, fairs and theme parks. Vincent gets roped in because his brothers go. He enjoys the rides, secretly, but really doesn’t like the crowds. Bo won his brothers giant stuffed toys at the games, and one time he even won a fish. Vincent keeps it, and it has since been named “Mr. Fishcasso III”.

•Lester has shown up randomly in the middle of the night, most of the time after a long day, and asks if he can just have tea and watch movies with Bo and Vincent. Vincent has to keep Bo from legitimately combusting for five minutes before they agree.

Bo: “my bad, our house. Still.”

Lester, from the couch, eating: “oh! These guys? Eh, they’re harmless! I found em on the side of the road so I picked em up, figured you guys wouldn’t mind.”

Bo: “I-“

Lester:

Bo: “…is that my sandwich??”

Lester: “M-“
