Ofelias Hotel. Barcelona, Spain - Full Review

Ofelias Hotel is a 4-star hotel located near the Sant Antoni neighborhood. For the first seven days of my vacation, my mom and I stayed in this hotel.

Conveniently located across from the Arenas de Barcelona shopping mall. Watch the breakdown:

Location:

Located in the Eixample district, Ofelias hotel is in a beautiful location with great walkability and access to various metro and bus locations. It is also across the street from a shopping mall which has multiple dining options, a movie theater, and shops.

Decor:

The look of the hotel is stylish and includes a beautiful lobby dotted with beautiful leather couches and overstuffed reading chairs. End tables and coffeetables are filled with architecture and interior design photobooks and honestly, I needed to put every single one in my purse.

There are two glass elevators that work key card only for a handful of rooms as well as a rooftop pool.

My mom and I shared a room and I believe that is good enough for two people, especially if you are not planning on staying long/packed light. However, if you have a lot of luggage it might be cramped.

The Room:

We booked the Buganvillia Superior Terrace which came with a Queen sized bed and outdoor terrace and sitting area. The total for 6 nights was 1439 Euro / $1543 USD.

There is a separate toilet area from the sink and stand-up shower. One thing to note is there is no shower door, it is just a wall to block you while you are under the rainfall shower head so if you prefer a more private showering experience, this may not be the hotel for you.

Bath and hand towels were provided along with a robe and slippers. Small toiletries were provided as well.

The AC was BOOMING, which I can appreciate because it was August and in European culture, AC isn't usually something that is everywhere in public places.

There was a mini fridge but no in-room microwave, a safe and a mini-bar ($).

Overall, I am on the fence about booking this hotel again unless I was doing a solo trip because there are so many hotels to choose from in Barcelona. But I would book accommodation in this area due to proximity of the metro/bus stations and the shopping mall.
