The Day Of Despair [Prolouge]

[Geno was exploring the forest maze, having gained a permanent physical body that resembles the doll he once possessed. It’s been 28 years since he and his friends saved Star Road, yet he wishes he would reunite with them.]

At least my sister gave me this permanent new body! It kinda reminds me of that doll I borrowed 28 years ago… Hopefully, Mario and his friends would remember me…

[Geno notices an invitation on the ground]

Huh? What’s this? An invite to Smash Bros…?

[Geno picks it up, only to find out that it is meant for him]

Oh…my…..! I’m finally gonna see my friends again! Nice, I bet my sister is in there as well! I wonder if Mallow got invited…?

[Suddenly, a one-winged angel drops down from the sky and stabs Geno in the chest, causing the doll to scream in pain. Geno violently coughs and spits out glittery, midnight blue blood as his eyes roll back and closes. His body goes completely limp, allowing the angel to steal the invite from his cold, now-head hand.]

Heh. That puppet didn’t stand a chance.

[The angel flies to the sky, leaving Geno’s corpse behind]

Little did he know, that Geno would come back from the dead as a spirit…

And there will be hell to pay.

How strange… It appears a plumber has entered my forest, yet…..he looks familiar… Perhaps I should approach him.

It appears I gained a new look… The forest became colder than usual, but I don’t mind it. I am still a ghost after all…

I remember that one time where I finally got an invite. I was happy that I’m gonna see Mario again, until….

HE came.

That bastard stabbed me in the chest and stole my fucking invite. Just like that, I died in the forest, and now I’m trapped within my newfound prison, forced to haunt these halls, calling out to those who enter it.

I…..fucking…..HATE HIM! I can’t let that one-winged angel hurt another innocent person. He will regret the day he fucked me over. He will pay.

I WILL BRING HIM DESPAIR THE WAY HE BROUGHT IT UPON THE INNOCENT.
