Arctic Star Completes Successful Spring 2022 Exploration Program, Diagras Project NT
British Columbia, Vancouver Arctic Star Exploration Corp. ("Arctic Star" or the "Company") (TSXV: ADD) (Frankfurt: 82A2) (WKN: A2DFY5) (OTC: ASDZF) is pleased to announce that its spring exploration programme on the Diagras project, located in the Northwest Territories, has been completed. Arctic Star (81.5%) and Margaret Lake Diamonds (18.5%) jointly own the project. The accomplishments for the season are listed below.
Exercise regimen
Nine holes totaling 1,098 metres were completed in the drilling programme. Six were allocated to the Sequoia kimberlite complex's ongoing delineation, while three others were finished searching for fresh kimberlite on two exploration sites. The Arbutus kimberlite was discovered as a result of this work. Each drill hole's location, bearing, total depth, and dip are listed in Table 1. The geology intersected in each hole is shown in Table 2.
At Sequoia, 504 metres of kimberlite were intersected in total. At Arbutus, 41.4 metres in total have been intersected.
The HQ drill core weighs about 7.6kg per metre and has a diameter of 6.35 cm. Half of the core, or about 3.8 kg per metre, is sent to the lab for caustic fusion even though the density of the kimberlite is not yet known. Thus, it is expected that 1915 kg of total sample will be shipped from Sequoia for caustic fusion.
22 metres to the south-southeast of the initial 2021 finding hole in Sequoia were covered by the drill holes DG2022-01 through DG2022-03. The first hole was vertical, and the next two were drilled to the east (DG2002-02) and west (DG2002-03) (DG2002-03). We may be drilling near the southern boundary of an eruption centre, according to the intercepts in the angled holes. The current theory is that Sequoia is made up of overlapping kimberlite pipes, and this round of drilling is taking place at the border of one of these pipe craters. Drill holes DG2022-05 to DG2022-07, which were bored 100 metres to the north-northeast of holes 1 through 3, are believed to be more central to the eruption centre, with DG2022-05 terminating in kimberlite. Drilled to the east, DG2022-06 reached the edge of the kimberlite at a depth of 84.6 metres and a horizontal distance of 30.8 metres. Drilling operation DG2022-07 struck the edge of the kimberlite at a depth of 78.9 metres and a horizontal distance of 28.7 metres. These holes show that, at this depth and position, the kimberlite has an east-west width of 59.5 m.
In order to better understand the geology, geometry, and grade of Sequoia, more delineation drilling is planned.
The Arbutus kimberlite was discovered using NQ drill core. The diameter of the NQ core is 4.76 cm. It is predicted that 147 kilos will be sent for caustic fusion for Arbutus, with the entirety of drill hole DG2022-09 and the one half split from DG2022-08 being fused. A kimberlite with a density of 2.4g/cm3 will weigh 2.2kg/meter.
Dan Gainer, a seasoned kimberlite geologist who recorded the kimberlite finds last year, is currently recording the drill core at Aurora's core logging facility in Yellowknife, which will ensure technical consistency. Once finalised, detailed logs will be released in a separate news release. The core will be delivered to the SRC diamond laboratory in Saskatoon after being logged and split. Arctic has reserved space at this facility for our samples, and we anticipate a "quick turnaround." Beginning in the middle of July and lasting until the end of August, diamond results should be made public.
1.7 kilometres away from Sequoia, the unsuccessful exploration hole DG2022-04 sought to locate a distinct magnetic low. The substance thought to have generated the magnetic anomaly was not encountered in the drill hole, although it may be explored again in the future.
MIP Award
The JV's exploratory work on the Diagras site will be supported by a grant of $168,000, Arctic Star is happy to report. What is Diamond Quarry and Concrete Wire Sawing
For bench cutting in marble quarries in India, diamond wire saw (DWS) machines are mainly used. The cutting performance of the DWS machine, or diamond cutting tools depends on non-controllable parameters related to rock characteristics and controllable parameters related to machine and other operational aspects. Cut size area of a bench is one of the operational controllable parameters and it has an important role in the cutting performance of the machine. Dolomitic marble deposits are available in large quantities in India. Thus, this study was undertaken to investigate the effects of bench cut size area on the cutting performance of DWS machines in soft, medium-hard and hard dolomitic marble. The study revealed that cut size of the bench plays a significant role in the performance of the DWS machine. The optimum bench cut size also varies with the nature of marble to be cut. It also depends on the types of cuts to be made in the marble such as vertical, vertical strand and horizontal. The results of this study can also be applied to other types of marble and they will also be of use to the operators of stone quarry machine.
Raw Stone Processing
Stones exploited from mines by rock driller with irregular form and rough section are called raw stones, which can not be applied in plate processing immediately. At present, raw stone in China mainly involves marble and granite. With the development of technology, the old way of shaping stones by labor is outdated.
Diamond saw blade used to process raw stones usually owns a large circular saw blade, on which diamond grits are inserted. Owning to its flexible property, diamond wire saw blade can be used to process ultra-hard stones. However, its diameter is usually large, and its height is twice the stones to be processed together with the diameter of Flange. It is not easy to produce diamond saw blade with too large diameter. Therefore, diamond saw blade is unsuitable to process oversize plates.

When processing stones, plate cutting is a quite important step. Usually diamond saw blades are used to cut plates. But in this situation, the size of plates is relatively small. One diamond wire saw is able to cut large plates and ultra-large plates, and is not restrained by the thickness of stones. However, compared with diamond frame saws containing several tens or a few hundreds saws, diamond wire saw is neither efficient nor cost-effective. Quick cutting. Since wire sawing doesn’t require manual operators, the machine can cut at a consistent speed without breaks. This keeps construction projects running on schedule.
Increased safety. Because wire saws are remote control operated, it minimizes the risk of an accident and keeps everyone near the construction site safe.
PROBLEMS WITH CONCRETE WIRE SAWS
Just because wire saws are remotely operated doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance of injury. Since the wires are under extreme tension, there is always a chance that they can snap and cause extreme injuries to anyone nearby. Construction teams should still take proper safety precautions when using this piece of machinery. How Does it Work?
Core drilling requires a specialized tool known as a coring tool or core drill. The primary element of a core drill is an annular cutter or drill bit. A drill bit is a hollow cylinder with an abrasive surface or teeth.
When the teeth of a core drill engage the desired surface, the rotating core drill bit gradually cuts a cylindrical or ring-shaped hole. As the drill bit creates a hole in the surface and advances, it leaves an uncut cylindrical piece of material known as a core. The diameter and size of the core drill bit both determine how far it can go until it becomes full of core materials. The drill bit can longer advance once it is complete. Next, the core must be extracted and removed from the surface. This process is repeated and altered until the desired hole length has been cut.
The key to successful core drilling is the proper configuration of a power unit, drill bit, stand, and safety equipment.
Applications and Uses of Core Drilling in the Construction Industry
Core drilling is widely used in the construction industry. Many types of contractors and engineers use it for a variety of purposes. The most common application of core drilling is to create pathways in existing structures to accommodate utility permeations, e.g. fibre optic, cable, electrical, and phone line openings.
