Sasquatch is now "Hopsquatch" - planted hops tubers in between some climbing roses along the side of the donkey shed. Looped twine on the rafters for everything to climb (allegedly hops does this itself). Winner of the best innovation of the year award goes to Montana who suggested using magnets when we need to hook plants on metal - used this for a few plants that didn't have a rafter directly above to string them to the metal roof without having to drill holes - brilliant! We originally wanted to put the hops/magnet solution along the big blank metal shop wall, but found we have substantial rocks to remove before we can do that. So this year is just an experiment in if/how hops grows

Mad Anthony’s Hopsquatch IPA Gets New Name and Look!

Fort Wayne, IN – Since being introduced in 2014, Mad Anthony’s Hopsquatch IPA has become a fan favorite in our community. Upon release, we knew that the lovable ‘squatch would steal our hearts. In late Winter, Mad Anthony Brewing Company received a Cease and Desist for the Hopsquatch name and likeness from a larger brewing conglomerate. With the explosion of craft brewing in the US, beer names are bound to be similar from time to time. All of us at Mad Anthony Brewing Company came to the decision to change the name and design of our newest year round IPA rather than spend resources on fighting the request. Upon many weeks of deliberating on a new name and face, we came to a decision. This Madbrew, formally known as Hopsquatch, is known for it’s tropical fruit flavor received from the use of the Mosaic hop and a simple grain bill. Combining this aspect with a celestial body, we decided on the name, Mosaic Moon. While we wave goodbye to our beloved friend, we now set our sights towards the stars. Mosaic Moon is the same great beer that our customers have come to know and love with a new face. Mosaic Moon will be hitting shelves in the coming months.
