They both had figures in their life that have been revealed to be lying to them, exploiting them, and betrayed them later on. They found a family and new home, that they eventually left DUE circumstances BEYOND THEIR CONTROL. They are bringing their brightest smile whilst hiding their conflicting feelings about their new home and their role in the Superfamily.
