Apple launches a black HomePod Mini
Image: Apple Apple just launched a version of its HomePod Mini smart speaker in a new “midnight” color. The dark color looks very similar to the original space gray that the Mini launched in, but the new naming brings it in line with the midnight HomePod second-gen that was released early last year. It goes up for sale on July 17th in the US (still for $99) and 31 other countries. The HomePod…

Apple Launches New HomePod Model
Remember Apple's HomePod, its smart-assistant speaker hybrid? If you were ever curious as to what happened to the product line, the Cupertino-based company announced a successor to its smart home product line, in the form of the HomePod 2nd generation. The new product release follows the announcement of several other Apple products, which includes the new Macbook Pro 14 and 16-inch versions, new Mac Mini, which were revealed alongside the company's newest processors, the M2 Pro and M2 Max. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing states: “Leveraging our audio expertise and innovations, the new HomePod delivers rich, deep bass, natural mid-range, and clear, detailed highs. With the popularity of HomePod mini, we’ve seen growing interest in even more powerful acoustics achievable in a larger HomePod. We’re thrilled to bring the next generation of HomePod to customers around the world.” Apple says that it has equipped the new HomePod with "advanced computational audio" for a better listening experience, alongside support for immersive Spatial Audio tracks. Users can of course use it with Siri, and even integrate it with other smart home products to enable automations, such as smoke or carbon monoxide alarms, and even check temperature and humidity in a room. It's also compatible with other software features like Apple's "Find My" for iPhones for example, and bringing an iPhone close to the HomePod itself will bring up a menu on your device, which adds more functionality in order to provide a more cohesive ecosystem experience. In terms of design, the HomePod comes with recycled mesh fabric and a backlit touch surface, and is available in white and midnight colors. It's pretty similar to the earlier HomePod designs, and one would probably hard-pressed to tell the difference otherwise. A lot of differences from its predecessors take place internally, however. Inside, the device also features a high-excursion woofer, as well as a powerful motor that powers the diaphragm with a 20mm, built-in bass-EQ mic, and five tweeters around the base. Inside is Apple's S7 chip which is designed to blend smart assistance and great-sounding audio. In addition to full and easy compatibility with Apple products such as Apple TV and iPhones, as well as software such as Apple Music, the new HomePod also comes with support for Matter-enabled products. Matter has been making efforts in developing smart home technology to be more efficient and intelligent, as well as more secure, and Apple itself is a member of the Connectivity Standards Alliance, which complies the Matter standard, along with other industry leaders. With that said, Apple's HomePod competes mainly with similarly-designed products like Google's Nest series of hardware, Amazon's Echo and Alexa Products, as well as other dedicated smart home technology from other brands. The 2nd Gen HomePod (2nd generation) is available to order for £299 (GBP) from the Apple store, and in the Apple Store app in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the UK, the US, and 11 other countries and regions starting today, with availability beginning Friday, February 3. All the Latest Gadget Announcements by Apple
Apple had lined up a lot of products and software updates for iOS and iPadOS users for 2020. But the pandemic delayed a lot of plans. Better delayed than never is the quote that has probably inspired Apple to introduce their latest gadgets to the world. On 13th October, Apple announced four new models in the iPhone 12 line. It will be the first significant design progression since 2017’s iPhone X. This year, the models will sport an array of colors (red, blue, green, black, and white) and 5G wireless connectivity support. The company is also ready with its HomePod Mini smart speakers.
The latest upgrade in the iPhone 12 will bring a custom antenna design along with mmWave 5G support (at least in the US). Apple has also updated its wireless charging on the iPhone with MagSafe that has a coil-like design and magnets. Below we have mentioned the list of latest products and the feature or specs updates Apple has made on them:
iPhone 12
The newest update will make the iPhone even thinner, smaller, and lighter in weight. It features a new OLED Super Retina XDR display with boasting 460 PPI pixel density and Dolby Vision HDR support. It also has a Ceramic Shield protection layer on the screen. It uses A14 Bionic rather than the A13 chip. The A14 Bionic chip is also integrated into the new iPad Air that has enhanced AI processing. The iPhone 12 upgrade also features a dual setup f2.4 ultrawide and f1.6 wide camera. All the cameras also have a Night Mode and night time-lapse feature on it. It costs $799 in the US, £799 in the UK, and AU$1,349 in Australia.
iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
The iPhone 12 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 12 Pro has a 6.7-inch screen. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has received better and premium specs than the iPhone 12 Pro. iPhone 12 Pro Max features three cameras and lidar for depth mapping, AR, and low-light autofocus. It also has a new sensor with sensor-shift image stabilization on its third telephoto camera, and it can record videos in 10-bit Dolby Vision HDR. Surprisingly, it will follow a new format, i.e., Apple ProRaw, that synthesizes the computational photography and applies processing as its parameters, which will help you tweak adjustments without much trouble.
The iPhone 12 Pro starts at $999, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max starts at $1,099.
iPhone 12 mini
The latest iPhone 12 mini has all the similar features that the latter device offers. The only significant difference is in the display size, which has shrunk down to 5.4-inch only. It is Apple’s first tiny phone that is also sleek in design and lighter in weight. The pixel density and display resolution are slightly lower in the iPhone 12 Mini. It starts at $699 in the US, £699 in the UK, and AU$1,199 in Australia.
HomePod Mini
In the online event, Apple also announced its first Mini smart speakers that look more like a candle than a gadget. The HomePod Mini speakers use the ‘computational audio’ for adjusting the sound characteristics automatically. Apple claims that they have combined a powerful voice assistant with the equally excellent audio quality as the original HomePod. Its privacy features are also similar to the original HomePod. HomePod Mini also offers anonymization and data encryption for additional security. It can auto-pair your iPhone when it comes to proximity. It costs $99 only. You can pre-order this device from the 6th of November, and ten days later, it will start shipping.
This was all you needed to know. You can keep your eyes on Apple’s website if you feel interested in purchasing either of these devices.

Apple Could Release the AirPods Max in New Colors by the Second Half of 2022
Reasonably than a brand new product, it’s rumored that Apple will solely add new colours to the AirPods Max because it has executed with different merchandise up to now. So we might not see the subsequent technology of AirPods Max.
Apple has began a pattern of updating its present merchandise with new colours after some time. For instance, we have seen the corporate add a model new purple colour to the iPhone 12 and inexperienced and alpine inexperienced colours to the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Professional respectively.
Not solely that, however in 2021 Apple launched three new colours for the HomePod mini along with the purple iPhone. Whilst you might solely get the HomePod mini in silver at first, now you can get it in blue, yellow, and orange.
Other than the colour not a lot has modified in fact. However this does give folks the chance to decide on the colour that they like or that fits them greatest.
What colours can the AirPods Max get?
We have heard rumors that Apple is on the point of launch extra colours for the AirPods Max, however we’re not precisely positive what these colours could be.
As of now, the AirPods Max 2020 can be found in 5 colours — silver, blue, pink, inexperienced, and house grey — and it seems to be like Apple is trying to improve that quantity. However what colours might the corporate use?
The brief reply is all colours. The corporate has used loads of colours through the years and we could not know precisely what it is considering now. Nonetheless, primarily based on earlier merchandise, we are able to attempt to guess.
A few of the colours that Appl has not too long ago used on different merchandise embody inexperienced, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver for the 2021 iMac and house grey, pink, purple, blue and starlight for the 2022 iPad Air.
