I love when Holly confronts Artemis about the (lack of) value he places on the lives and agency of others, as Butler will be simultaneously chilling offscreen somewhere, having definitely killed before in his career.

I love you little fucked up man <3 #Holly will look at Butler with affection and think 'my fellow soldier :)' meanwhile that role entailed possible war crimes on Butler's end #domovoi butler #artemis fowl #and I think what also makes this so striking is that Butler has a much stronger sense of how to be kind and compassionate than Artemis #inherently does -- but when it comes to the big moral lines in the sand it is honestly Artemis who much more intensely feels them #and of course this is all complicated by when Butler starts to develop a more personal relationship with someone -- such as how at the end #of AF he tells Artemis that he doesn't want to become entangled with the People again (largely due to Holly saving his life and Juliet's)
