If by spikier you mean his quills are messier, then yes. I've been meaning to change that for a while but in his new ref you can really see how unruly they are which is how I planned it originally.

Fun fact: I was originally going to have it that they got messier with each stressful event that happened to him. The last one fitting that would have been his abduction into The Special Zone, and they have gotten more chaotic since then but, yeah. I think I like where they are now so that might not change for a while.
