Objectober Day 30 - Tricks/Treats!

Almost forgot about this one too! Oops!

The S3 hfjONE contestants testing their trick-or-treat route to find that two Airy figures have been placed in the school part of the route. One of them is meant to scare those who encounter it, while the other drops candy.

Tricks and treats indeed. Look out, S3 hfjONE contestants, Airy, or Marshall as you may know him, is coming. He can bring tricks... or treats. (My headcanon name for Airy is Marshall, because of one of the name possibilities for Airy by Cheesy HFJ.)

Writer Hell 6 Part 1

because my writing increases but my art doesn’t.

So we are back to Airy HFJONE.

I’m going to start actually writing the First Chapter here. Under the cut so yall don’t have to suffer

Another day, another hosted competition.

That was Airy’s thoughts as he got off of the cot that served as a bed for him. Walking into the cave, he didn’t think to wake up Liam. He didn’t need to know of the competition anyways. All that was going on was a small competition about repurposing some items around The Plane.

Watching everyone build took up a bit of the day. It was only when Liam stormed into the cave, angry, that he realized that he had forgotten a few things in between what he had spent as competition time.

“Why didn’t you think to wake me up,” yelled Liam, “I’m missing out on the challenge you made!” He was clearly angry about the ordeal, and Airy’s response was to try to explain himself.

“It wasn’t that important of a chal-” Liam cut Airy off. “You agreed to tell me about all challenges from here on out, and when they’d go on.” Liam then shoved Airy out of the way to defend his right. He wasn’t wrong. But he wasn’t exactly right either. “You said that we’d discuss them the night before. We did.”

Liam was angry, but couldn’t seem to argue back about the rules he had set, so he walked off. By then, most of the contestants were looking up.

“Sorry guys. I got a little… caught up with Liam.” The contestants seemed to understand well, and finished the challenge. Airy finished the challenge off with the announcements of who was up for elimination. The contestants made their usual pleas to be or not to be voted for.

Lunch came and went, with foraged plants being the dish of the day. It was usually plants or hunted meat, but hunted meat was getting more and more plentiful day by day. Winter was getting ready to come, meaning the animals ate well, and the plants were diminishing, except for mushrooms. Garlic Mustard was an abundant plant, and at that time it wouldn’t be seen for a bit.

As well, other times came and went, with the rest of the day being collecting, gathering wood for the fires, and other things.

The day came to an end, but Airy couldn’t sleep. He felt there was a presence nearby he’d have to kill to be able to sleep soundly. He’d never miss a kill, but somehow, this felt like more than a kill. Walking out of the cabin to see what it was that was out there, he noticed two piercing eyes.

They looked akin to a canid beast, although not a wolf. The eyes still stood out through the night, staring straight at him. He held his axe, and began walking towards the beast slowly. A mistake that would cost him so much more.

He could hear growling, but could also notice a glint of foam in the moonlight. He had no clue what it meant. He still walked closer, although his instinct told him to run. He’d get that kill if he had to.

More growling… he continued to approach anyways, until…

SNAP.

The beast had bitten Airy. He screamed in pain, but remained somewhat calm and went to clean up and bandage the wound with a leaf. It was a canid bite mark on his arm, near his hand he held the axe with. It looked like it could possibly be a fox, or a coyote. Whatever it was, it had bitten him.
