you had me for a moment (blond haired, green eyed, speechless) by haridwar {M}
/Undercover cop!Bradshaw/
Bradley was Adam? Or, Adam was Bradley? Jake wasn’t sure which way around it was supposed to go as he tried to make sense of it in his head, but he had to guess that Adam was the fake identity considering the very real relationship Bradley had with Mav. or: working undercover is a lot easier when you don't have distractions like Jake showing up mid-assignment
An Offer He Can't Refuse by dalearden {_}
/Detective!Seresin/
Detective Jake Seresin has been on the trail of the Layton gang for a long time. When he starts getting too close he finds himself drawn into their world to the point where he starts to question everything he thought he knew about who he is and what he does. The fact he's also undeniably attracted to one Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw only serves to further complicate matters.
Driven by desire by trinipedia {E}
/Cop!Bradshaw/
Bradley is a closeted cop looking for a fun night of cybersex. (un)fortunately, his plans are thwarted by a beautiful, mouthy, out and proud stranger who won't have sex with a headless torso, not even online. Or: Bradley falls in lust with a stranger online just to meet him in person during a police op.

And then Bob’s turning and looking at him, hand on Bradley’s shoulder. “Keep your mouth shut.” And it’s said so fast and so seriously, so completely unlike Bob- that Bradley does. Even when Bob rolls the window down and Bradley sees the most gorgeous man he’s ever seen on the other side. “Can I help you, officer?”
When Danger Comes Home (Don’t Ever let it Roost) by ToukoJalorda003 {M}
/Undercover cop!Bradshaw/
Bradley adored his job, and it had been his dream to go into law enforcement as a kid. He had everything he’d ever wanted - except for a romantic partner, but he’d never even consider dragging them into his dangerous personal life. …Until he took a smuggling case involving Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin, a known member of the city’s organized crime syndicate. Maybe he’d bitten off more than he could chew, this time.

/Private Investigator!Hangster/
When MI Private Investigations gets a new case from a mysterious client, Bradley must confront old fears and new uncertainties. Throw in a creepy old house on a moonlit night, and you’ve got all the makings of a mystery.

/Missing persons detective!Seresin/
A missing person's case brought Jake Seresin to the town of Achlyn, but it might not be what makes him stay. or Jake's a detective working a disappearance, Bradley runs the inn he's staying at in the coastal Maine town, and he's pretty sure the locals know something he doesn't, but he's never met a case he couldn't crack. He just wasn't expecting a complication like Bradley Bradshaw and his sad eyes.

Bradley Bradshaw is dead. Dead and in heaven. There is a bright light, and a beautiful, beautiful man smiling down at him. A golden man. With bright eyes (blue? green?) and a fucking, shiny halo. "Welcome back, Lieutenant Bradshaw. My name is Dr. Seresin, I took care of your surgery today. How are you feeling?" Fuck, heaven looks good. "Are — are you an angel?"

“What’s wrong?” Jake gives his best friend a worried look, already getting up from his seat. Out of habit, he grabs his clipboard, ready to follow Javy wherever he needs him. “Do you have a moment to talk?” Javy asks, easing the clipboard out of Jake’s hands. Not understanding what’s going on, Jake only nods and lets him take it. “Okay, one second.” Javy gives him a tight smile and walks away, followed by Jake’s disoriented look. -or it was supposed to be a "someone is a little loopy after anesthesia" fic, but it spiraled into something a little bit longer

/Cardiologist!Seresin & Oncologist!Bradshaw/
Jacob S. Seresin had never planned to become a doctor. He was meant to become the greatest naval aviator in history but those plans were destroyed by a drunk driver. It is always hard to watch a 17 year old go through the loss of a limb, but it is even harder to tell that 17 year old that his parents were gone right after that 17 year old discovers that his leg is gone from knee down. Jake's new hospital seems great, but his department is seemingly in a full blown war with the Oncology department

/Doctor!Bradshaw/
Dr. Bradshaw scans Jake’s file, no doubt seeing the long list of previous visits, ranging from a fishing hook in his hand (an unfortunate accident) to when he collapsed from dehydration (he had an undiagnosed bout of bronchitis). He glances back at Jake, keeping his face tilted down. The whole thing shows Jake just how long the doctor’s eyelashes are. “Yes, I can see you have more tenure here than I do. Rest assured, Mr. Seresin. You’re in good hands.” Or 5 times jake asks his hot er doc out and 1 time he says yes

“It was December 24th, 19 —” “—86.” Maverick finishes, with a look of such absolute crushing grief on his face that all Jake can do is gather his stuff and leave as fast as humanly possible, even as his boss begs him to stay, practically tripping over his own feet to beat him to the door. But Jake is fast for a heart patient and he's out of that room lickety-split. He just needed to know for sure, to know for sure that it was the same Bradshaw — that Bradley really is the son of his donor. That his heart, unlike his love life, isn’t totally and irrevocably fucked. (Thirty years ago, Jake Seresin got a heart).

In other words, Jake’s used to being a magnet for bad luck. It doesn’t surprise him in the slightest that the one time he takes the elevator instead of the stairs, it breaks down with only him inside. It doesn’t mean he’s not still pissed as fuck about it.

“That’s one way to put it,” Rooster says and grins at him. Jake gives a small smile back before turning back to the ducks. “Those are cute.” Not as cute as you, Rooster’s about to say before he bites his tongue. He’s a hopeless flirt, ask anyone, but that’s almost too corny. “Yup. Fluffy.”

Firefighter Calendars are a Good Idea, Roo.
Officer Jake 'Hangman' Seresin transferred two years ago and began his torment of firehouse 14 and specifically one Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw.
The firefighter calendar was a...really good idea, Roo.
The contents spilled into his lap and his breath caught in his chest at the sight of his soaked husband flexing along the cover of a…calendar? With greedy fingers he flipped to January, arousal flushing hot and quick in his stomach. Bradley was sprawled across a settee, his suspenders barely holding up his gear leaving a tantalizing view of… Jake swallowed heavily as he traced a fingertip over the baby blue lace panties that Bradley was undoubtedly wearing.

"I don't go soft for anyone." "Except for the blond pilot.." "Shut up, Trace." When Bradley's parents dies and he grows distant from his godfather, he builds up walls. To protect himself from the pain and hurt when people he loves, leaves him. His friends once tried to let him be vulnerable, to let them know more about him, he just brushes it off with a quick "I'm doing just fine." They understand now that he would rather listen than talk. They expected him to open up little by little when he thinks it's time; What they didn't expect was for him to malfunction when a certain blond haired pilot entered his life. Jake Seresin, the one and only. When they first saw eachother, Bradley felt smoke filling his lungs up as he struggled to breathe properly, while Jake's eyes lit up as he recognized who Bradley was. Jake already knew a few things about Bradley that others didn't—all thanks to Maverick—and so, Bradley couldn't stop the walls from melting down as he starts to confide in Jake about his life. or, The clichè knight saving the damsel-in-distress, except it's firefighter Bradley Bradshaw saving fire prone Jake Seresin multiple times.

“You have got to be fucking kidding me.” Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw drops his gear bag onto the bench in the locker room the moment he sees the worst person he has ever met pulling a t-shirt over his (stupidly well-sculpted) chest. The last name Seresin is in bold letters on the back and the LAFD symbol is prominent across the left breast and Bradley can’t believe his eyes. “Oh, this is fucking Christmas morning,” Hangman’s arrogance leaks through his voice once he gets his shirt on and can see just who is greeting him. “Good to see you, Roo, been a while. You look good.” Or, Jake "Hangman" Seresin happens to transfer to Rooster's station years after they graduated the academy together.

Jake has been a 911 dispatcher for six years - he's good at his job and he's good at life. He has one rule: he doesn't date responders. That all goes up in flames when new firefighter Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw arrives on scene. Jake just hopes he makes it out without getting burned.
Who Ya Gonna Call?
It’s not so much that Jake lost a bet. He did lose it, spectacularly. It’s just less that he lost and more that he threw the game, because the idea that’s been planted in his head is just too sweet to ignore. or... Jake dresses up as a cop for Halloween

"Look, are you gonna help or not? Cause I didn't drive twenty minutes outside of town just to let this dog die, okay?" He knows he's not being exactly fair. It's fifteen minutes past nine, and he's pretty sure when he clicked on the clinic's navigation on google, it had said they were closing soon. As much as he can admit to himself that it's interesting, being inside the different enclosures, it's also not something that's done lightly. Still… Bradley can see the excitement poorly masked in Jake's expression, he's heard the other man talk about his cats like they're common house pets, and he wants to share that with Bradley just a little. All Rooster had ever wanted was to work for Jurassic World - his godfather did, and for his whole life, it had been his dream. Now he finally had it, and he…wasn’t so sure how he felt about Hangman. The man was just too dangerous, too unpredictable, and Rooster feared it would end in disaster. …But disaster had found them anyway, and now it was starting to look like it was too late to accept Hangman’s offer for a date. Damn.
When Dust is all That Remains (Love is Eternally Present) {M}
After the events of the park’s catastrophic closing, Bradley just wanted to rest. Maybe take a nap and remind himself what he’d nearly had. But he couldn’t do that, because an active volcano was going to wipe out the remaining dinosaurs - including Jake’s raptors. …And if it was possible, he wasn’t going to let that happen. Maybe, while he was at it, he’d finally get that date, too.

Jake as a general rule didn't date the owners of his patients. At least not until he walked into his examination room ready to cover Javy’s annual check-up appointment with a female German Rottweiler named “Bailey Bradshaw” and locked eyes with her owner. Bradley always found people who ask someone out at their place of employment weird. He didn't expect to find the men of his dreams at the vet practice, however. Turns out they are each other's exception in every universe. Bradley having an anonymous dating podcast with Nat does complicate the matter. Or does it?

3. Chandi Devi Temple
Another significant temple, Chandi Devi Temple, sits atop the Neel Parvat on the Eastern bank of the Ganges. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi, a fierce form of Goddess Parvati. Like Mansa Devi Temple, this site can be accessed by a trek or via a ropeway, offering stunning views of Haridwar and its surroundings.

A safari through this park will immerse you in the natural beauty of the region.

Brahmotsavam movie in ma
BRAHMOTSAVAM MOVIE IN MA TV
Moral of the colourful story: A montage of beautiful visuals (Rathnavelu’s brilliance), lots of happy people, and frequent song and dance routines may be the perfect ingredients for a ‘brahmotsavam’, but the end result needn’t necessarily be a good film. Rao Ramesh, as usual, gives a stellar act, but what’s the use? Everyone else does what’s expected. Honestly, we’ve seen so much of this fawning over Mahesh’s fabled good looks that it’s boring now, especially when you go as far as to make a little kid ask him if he’ll marry her. For much of the film, he is just hanging around, smiling and looking pretty. Sadly, you don’t get to see enough of that. That one shot where he paces up and down, with pain, confusion and despair on his face, all at once, gives you a peek into what Mahesh can do as an actor. Mahesh Babu’s performance in the pre-interval sequence is the best part of the film. Nothing really happens, except that somewhere along the way, hero realises he loves heroine. The hero goes around meeting extended family (we never know why), and keeps hopping from Nagpur to Solapur to Haridwar to Kasi and finally, Bangalore. But wait, she’s not even his girlfriend, yet. The next moment, he’s on a whirlwind tour of India, girlfriend (Samantha) in tow, in search of his roots. One moment, we are thinking the hero (Mahesh Babu), distraught after his father’s untimely death, will take on the mantle and keep the family together. The director doesn’t know what he wants to really convey with all these good people. But till the end, there’s no explanation why they’re all so good. The film starts off by introducing all the “manchi” people in this huge, and “manchi”, family. So much so, it makes us want to ask, Addala garu, we get it. So much so, you can’t help but root for the hero’s first love, Kasi (Kajal) who dumps him, unable to cope with his saccharine sweet forever-happy family. And Brahmotsavam takes this indulgence to the next level - it’s about values, values, values and oh, more values. You saw glimpses of it in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. If that’s not syrupy enough, there’s ample use of pretty people smiling all the time their prettiness further amplified with all those glossy filters. Think very large, very happy families, living in palatial homes, doling out lengthy dialogues on family values. Movie Review: With Brahmotsavam, Srikanth Addala has tried to deliver a Sooraj Barjatya experience to the Telugu cinema goer.

In the first-of-the-kind initiative, Hero Homes curated a virtual Yoga session for its employees in Delhi NCR and special arrangements were made at their Ludhiana, Delhi NCR , Mohali, and Haridwar workstations as well to prompt and adopt Yoga which facilitates holistic living experience. The Yoga enthusiasts, with the instructor’s directions, performed all asanas neat and meticulously. They also talked about the positive body changes and mindset shifts that they experienced after performing Yoga in the early mornings.

Not just in India, the phenomenon is being seen worldwide. Wild boars have descended from the hills around Barcelona while sika deer are nosing their way around the deserted metro stations of Nara, Japan. Indian social media has gone wild about footage of a stag scampering through Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
I frankly have no problem at all in seeing deers on the street (in fact I am happy), just wanted to tell these kids that ‘Reindeer’ are NOT found in #India. Probably more work on environmental awareness required. Noted for myself. 😊#haridwar pic.twitter.com/8X1WGziqyV

India - A Lonely Society
In India, a country of over a billion people, one in every two elderly individuals suffers from loneliness, says a study.
Maya Devi is 85-years-old and living with her daughter in the city of Jammu. But she would not be here for long and soon shift to her younger daughter’s house in Delhi, then soon to her other daughter’s house. This is an arrangement worked among her daughters after her son’s death when her daughter-in-law asked her to leave the house. She has four daughters, daughter-in-law and several grandchildren but still like many other seniors of her age, she is lonely and depended on others.
In urban India, they are left to their rooms like old furniture and in rural India asked to leave the house to live by themselves. In the ghats of Varanasi or Haridwar or the lanes of Mathura you would see them begging for compassion.
It is estimated that by the year 2020, approximately 70% of the world’s population aged 60 and above will be living in developing countries, 14.2% of them will live in India. Recent polling has shed new light on one of the most difficult issues facing India’s seniors: loneliness and depression.
With the disintegration of the joint family system and the rise in number of nuclear families, senior citizens in India often find themselves feeling alone, neglected and depressed even when they are living with their children and grandchildren. The stress and pressures of the modern world keep the family members busy with their own work and studies, with little time and sometimes inclination to spend time with the older members of their households.
For those whose children have left and resettled abroad or far from home, the situation is worse. Deprived of any other human presence at home, they try to fill their time with a few chores and solitary walks until such time that they are able to. With increasing age often comes decreased mobility and ill-health, confining them indoors with only the television for company.
Spin A Yarn India has started a program to utilise the latent skills of these silver citizens to help the society. We have all grown up on stories narrated to us by our grandparents, parents and other elders in the family. Those were the good old days when we would lie beside our aajis and azoba, daadis or naanis, as they took us on fantasy journeys with their tales — from turtles who talk too much, jackals and mangos, to tigers and laughing fish, folk tales delighted people of all ages with beautiful narratives on friendship, morality and philosophy. Clever tricksters, nefarious villains and brave heroes made up the compelling and enduring folk history of India.
Those were the stories that helped us learn some important lessons of our lives. They taught us about the good and bad and also had a hand in making us the people we are as grown ups. A big advantage of storytelling as a medium of learning is that, it makes everything interesting!
Our project is about helping the community by utilising the wealth of knowledge these senior citizens have and offer them a respite from the loneliness. We are all natural storytellers and our ability to tell and listen to stories is not only the way in which we make sense of our experiences and the world around us, but also how we build and project our social identities and forge our relationships. It is essential to our social well-being as a storytelling species. Use the knowledge and experience seniors have gained over a lifetime to give something back to their community. They in return get lots back in return, such as new skills and confidence – and, hopefully, some new friends, too.
We are homo narrans (human beings that tell stories). Spin A Yarn India has created a platform to enable “Storytellers” to come together to discover and share their passion for stories. A community of creators, dreamers and explorers united by their love for great stories. The wonders of online technology allow us to connect with those who cannot be with us in person – in ways that not so long ago we could never have imagined possible. But we need to use the technology well, as a means for allowing us to share our stories.
One of the things that emerged from working with all our narrators that we engaged with was that loneliness was experienced most intensely when the opportunities for storytelling were limited or denied. We all want to tell our stories and listen to the stories of others and this is what makes for meaningful relationships. If we are denied that, then we feel socially isolated, even if we are in a crowd.
“We tell ourselves stories in order to live.” That is an old truth, fixed into words by Joan Didion during the late ’70s. Perhaps we share our stories with others in order to live more fully, which might be the opposite of loneliness.

Since time immemorial, our national flower lotus holds a unique position in art, cultural and philosophy. It represents spirituality, fruitfulness, wealth and knowledge. The sacred lotus has pink and white petals. It was declared as the national flower of India in 1950. This aquatic perennial is generally found in Asia and northern Australia. However, it is cultivated in North America as well.
Lotus is one of the flowers which play a significant part in Indian traditions. It also has an important role in Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism. Lotus is often associated with the gods and goddesses such as Vishnu, Brahma, Kubera, Lakshmi and Saraswati.
In Buddhism, it is considered to be the purity of body, speech and mind. The lotus also extends a spiritual meaning. It represents a higher level of consciousness when it searches for enlightenment and purity.
It is beautifully illustrated on the five rupees coin released by Reserve Bank of India. This beautiful National Symbol of India featured on Stamp issued in 1977.
National Bird- Peacock
The mesmerizing singer and dancer of monsoon and the inspiration of many poets, artists and writers since eons is the peacock, the national bird of India. Peacock, with its vivid colours and grace commands a lot of attention. It was considered royal in Gupta era and it’s not surprising that it was depicted on King Skandagupta’s silver Drachma.
This gifted bird looks exquisite with a blue velvety slender neck and blue-golden plumage which ends in long tail consisting of bright and shiny blue-green and bronze feathers. It has long sturdy brown legs with small silvery beak and similar eye patches along a natural crown-make on its head adorn a royal touch to it.

National Tree- Banyan tree
The immortal tree of our land, Banyan tree is considered one of our national symbols due to integral connection to our culture. Banyan has earned its position of the National Tree of India because of its numerous benefits of providing medicines and acute shelter to people. It is known for its long branches and huge trunk.
A giant tree with a spreading crown, attaining at times 30-35 m, it has obovate, simple leaves, shiny above and pale below. Hindus considered it sacred and worship it in many temples. Even today, the banyan tree is the focal point of village life and the village council in most areas meets under the shade of this tree. National Fruit- Mango

In Vedic texts, it is referred as Rasala and Sahakara. When Portuguese came to India they were in love with this yellowish orange golden looking fruit and introduced to the world as we so call ‘Mango’. India Post has depicted this delicious fruit on its stamps.
National River- Ganga
Our national river Ganga is known for its purity, divinity and nurturing nature, she originates from the Gangotri Glacier as Bhagirathi just like a ferocious tigress. Ganga basin is considered as the most fertile basin in the world. She has great religious significance in Hinduism as a goddess. On the gold coin of Samrat Samudragupta goddess Ganga is illustrated quite elegantly, standing on her vahana Makara.
Flowing in India and some parts of Bangladesh, Ganga is considered as longest river in India and home to endangered Ganges river dolphins. The Indian cities which are famous for being located on the banks of this river are Varanasi, Allahabad and Haridwar.
In 1990 India Postal department has issued 600 Paise commemorative postage stamp depicting Ganga ‘The River of Life’ on it!
Nation Flag: Tiranga
Our National Flag is a blend of saffron, white and green colours (Tricoloured) placed horizontally in a rectangular form with a navy blue Ashoka Chakra in the centre (24 spokes). It was adopted in its present form during the meeting of the Constituent Assembly held on 22nd July 1947 and became the official flag of the Dominion of India – today on 15th August 1947, on our Independence Day.
Every free nation has a flag of its own as it is a symbol of its freedom as well as its identity. Adopted a few days before India’s independence from the British- the “Tiranga” – what we see and pay respect to – has a wonderful story to tell. The word “Tiranga” which literary means “tricolour” has undergone various changes since its first inception.
The colours of “Tiranga” symbolize certain significance. Saffron colour indicates the strength and courage of the country, the white indicates peace and truth while the green shows the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land. Furthermore, This Dharma Chakra depicted as the “wheel of the law” intends to show that there is life in movement and death in stagnation.
The “Tiranga” was proudly hoisted on 15th August 1947 as the symbol of freedom and the identity of this newly born nation. It is also featured on the first stamp of Independent India.
National Game- Hockey
Our national game Hockey was able to conquer the podium for India in Olympics. From 1928 to 1956, it was a peak time for India when it won 8 Olympic gold medals in 6 consecutive wins. Dhyan Chand was the best Indian hockey player of all time. He is still remembered for his extraordinary goal-scoring accomplishments. He had won three Olympic gold medals (in 1928, 1932, and 1936) by playing hockey. It was golden period for India when he was playing hockey. In 1948, he played his final international match and scored more than 400 goals.
In 1975, India also won its first ever Hockey World Cup. At various occasion India postal Department has issued stamps on hockey.
As defined above, the National Symbols of India play a vital role in making the identity of our country, bringing the diverse cultures together and binding them in a single string. This blog covers some of beautiful aspects of National Symbols of India featured on Stamp.
