I think the 2019 Romanian editions are one of the best-looking out there.

love seeing everyone who enjoyed Dune Part 2 saying they've never read Dune Messiah and they'll have to read Dune Messiah. Yall are not ready.
I've read all six books. its an absolute mindfuck freak-show waxing-philosophical eon-sprawling walk in the park gang. Buckle the fuck up and plan to at least also read Children of Dune thank you

I am 300 pages into Heretics of Dune and I am now ready to admit I am not having a good time and am never going to finish it
Every Gammu chapter: TARAZA: There be heretics up in this Dune.
TEG: I am so loyal to the Bene Gesserit.
DUNCAN: Much like the person writing this post, I have no idea what's going on.
CHAIRDOG: My existence is a reminder that God is canonically dead.
LUCILLA: The hand of Divided God as my witness, I will molest that child.
THAT OTHER REVEREND MOTHER WHOSE NAME I AM TOO LAZY TO LOOK UP: I be a hertic up in this Dune.
Every Rakis chapter:
SHEENA: I hate Big Worm Satan. I hate the priests. I'm gonna go into the desert and cuss out God for a bit.
ODRADE: There may in fact be heretics up in this Dune.
THE PRIESTS OF THE DIVIDED GOD: The wise worm woman called us all useless bitches, truly she was sent by Big Worm God.
WAFF: Don't google how our axlotl tanks work.
Meanwhile somewhere in space: HONORED MATRES: It's been 300 pages, when do when get to gaslight, gatekeep, gesserit the Old Imperium?

Not like I could possibly need another copy of The Great Gatsby, but here we are; it's in the Chiltern collection. The bright-ass shiny pink thing is another journal by Flame Tree, quoting Pride and Prejudice. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is also a Flame Tree edition. I have an old copy of Dune, and I'm trying to find the rest of the series; here's book five. And I have some books by Carl Sagan but not any of his fiction; today I changed that.

Currently Reading: Heretics of Dune by Frank Herbert
I will admit, this book, while shorter than some others in the series, is filled with a lot more dialogue and philosophy than some of the others so it's definitely taking me longer to get through. But I am!
We've jumped forward another 1500 years since the end of God Emperor of Dune, where Leto II was murdered and divided into a multitude of sandtrout that have now become the great sandworms of Rakis. The world is again a desert, with some of the Fremen ways of life coming through, but not as fully. There is modernization, and religion has gotten even weirder, if that's even possible.
There is also a child on Rakis that has the ability to ride the sandworms like the Fremen of old, and there is another Duncan Idaho ghola, being raised for a Bene Gessirt scheme that few seem to know fully, with pieces scattered here and there. And again, still no full idea where everything is going, but it's the journey, not the destination with these books!
