The words gave him pause, as something akin to pain washed over Loghain's face. It would be so simple to just say it can get it over with. To get her to walk away without drawing all of it out. waxing poetic is not the strangest form of greeting she’s ever received, but she’d definitely chalk it up among the most unusual. given that the stranger had not drawn a weapon nor seemed to hold any ill intent allowed Midna to maintain an air of neutrality, though the queen never let her gaze drop from the other for a second. the eternal half light of the twilight realm affords her some obscurity within its wavering shadows. should she need to draw on greater power or make a quick getaway, a mere shift of her foot should allow her to draw from the essence of her home.

of course, the twili sovereign hopes that neither should be necessary, but given not-so recent events, she has learned to play things a little more carefully during new encounters.
