The two adults spoke in hushed tones, most of their conversation seemed jovial to the child's ears... until something changed. They stopped the hushed tones and an heavy air overtook the area. "... That depends..." The Typhlosion frowned... "You know Carlo's looking to officially retire soon... he pretty much locked me into being the Guildmaster... I might be too busy." The Cinderace let loose a small chuckle at that, losing an arm and only NOW is he considering retirement? Hah.

"It shouldn't matter." She continued her request. "If something happens to me-"

"Noooo, we are not having this conversation-you're FINE. It was one rough fight against a bunch of weak outlaws-"

"Listen...!" After a hushed shout, the Cinderace turned her gaze to the night sky. "If something happens to me-"

"Luz-"

"IF. Something. Happens... can you look after Gil? She sees you like an uncle if not an adoptive dad-"

"Nothing's going to happen..."

"But what if it did? I don't want to leave her alone-not like I was... not like you-" She stopped herself, and the two fire types fell silent.

"I'll... I'll consider it..." Before she could respond, he continued. "But, NOTHING, will happen... we're one flight away, I can get Tau to get me here instantly, got it?" She only smiled and nodded to him, quietly mouthing 'thank you' as she did, the air softened.

"Soooo... onto a different topic... why were you here again?"

After a shake of his head at how quickly the tone shifted, he spoke. "To deliver some weird artifact to Samson and his partner... apparently the Yggdrasil Researchers need their input, so... hopefully they can provide it, they were eager to do it too... hah..."
