Helenus Askeris → Charlie Rowe → Witch
→ Basic Information
Age: 796
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
Powers: Geokinesis
Birthday: August 25
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Religion: Hellenic Polytheism
Mark: Unknown
Generation: Unknown
→ His Personality
When asked about his past he will rarely give a straight answer. Like many his age he has seen and done a lot that he would rather forget about. It has shaped who he is though. It has made him someone who hides part of himself from the world, someone who will protect those who need it and someone who would go to any length for those he loves. To the world he presents a man who is calm, charming and intelligent, if a little sarcastic. These are not lies but are not the whole truth either. As a youth he was playful and teasing but on the path his life took this wasn’t appreciated. That part of him may have grown quieter over the centuries but he hopes it’s still in there. His kindness is something else that could be called quiet. It shows up in small gestures and general benevolence to the people he comes into contact with. His life has also given him a darker side but it is something he still actively tries to keep locked inside, only letting it out when pushed to it. Something else he often battles with is not having his feet planted firmly on the ground. It has not always been an option to do so thus he has had to learn to be able to concur that fear when needed.
→ His Personal Facts
Occupation: Book Shop Owner
Scars: Several from his youth, including one on his thigh from a sword
Tattoos: None
Two Likes: Tea and Dawn Walks
Two Dislikes: Olives and Being Controlled
Two Fears: Losing his twin and Rollercoasters
Two Hobbies: Playing Music and Sculpting
Three Positive Traits: Kind, Loyal, Charming
Three Negative Traits: Secretive, Sarcastic, Fussy
→ His Connections
Parent Names:
Unknown (Father): Helenus has never met his father and his mother always refused to talk about him.
Amara (Mother/deceased): His human mother passed on a long time ago but Helenus still holds onto fond memories of the little time he had with her.
Sibling Names:
Cassandra Askeris (twin sister): The twins have always been extremely close and have gone to great lengths to protect each other over the years.
Children Names:
None
Romantic Connections:
Nesrin Askeris (wife/deceased): Helenus married young and whilst he loved Nesrin it was never romantic on his part. In those days it was just what was expected.
Nathan Cleirigh (Ex-Lover): Both Nathan and Helenus were still reasonably young when they met. Their friendship quickly developed into something more. Over the years though, they found their lives pulling them along different paths and to completely different places. Before things got messy they decided they should break it off, and as a result they are still on good terms to this day.
Platonic Connections:
Jace Cicero (Ex-Mentor/Friend): With their similarities in personality and their shared power Jace was an excellent fit as a mentor for Helenus. He still remains one of Helenus’s favourites of those he had and has made an effort to keep in touch.
Averill Sookram (Ex-Mentor/Old Friend): Some are surprised to find these two are friends but they got along from the beginning. They both appreciate and respect each other and will often swap stories and knowledge over a dram of whiskey.
Willaume ‘Bill’ White (Friendly): Bill has become a regular fixture at Priam Books and Helenus is always happy to see him. He appreciates the other witches' dedication to his studies. They have also started borrowing books from each other's private collections from time to time.
Fallon Draga (Acquaintance): Helenus has on a few occasions engaged Fallon in her capacity as a book restorer. He has been pleased with her work and finds he doesn’t mind her company, often inviting her to stay for tea when she pops by the shop.
Minsky Edison (Friend): Minsky and Helenus were introduced by Averill but it was their shared appreciation for music that really formed their friendship. They will still regularly listen to records together and occasionally go to concerts.
Eric Lasiter (Friendly): Helenus met Eric through Averill and Ronan. Helenus on occasion gets invited when the others hang out. They have always gotten along and he would be happy to cultivate this into a real friendship.
Brighton ‘Bee’ Genesis (Friendly): As with Eric, Helenus met Bee through Averill and Ronan. They have gotten along well from the start and Helenus would be happy to become proper friends with Bee.
Ronan Cleirigh (Ex-Mentor/Old Friend): Ronan was another of Helenus’ favourite mentors, finding the man to be fascinating and admiring his strong bond with his family. Though it has been many centuries since Ronan has mentored him, Helenus has always considered him a friend and was happy to be able to renew that friendship when they found themselves in the same city again.
Chiara Ricci (Friendly): Chiara is a regular customer who is starting to become a friend. She often tries to get stories of his past out of him, which he doesn’t give into. He finds her tries amusing though and occasionally drops the smallest hint at a juicy story just to wind her up.
Sadie McCoy (Acquaintance/Customer): Sadie has become a very good customer over the years, ordering many books for the Underground’s library. Helenus likes to go the extra mile for her, often including a few extra books he thinks will be useful for the many subjects that are studied down there.
Lestat Marcoux (Friend): They met in Priam books and bonded over their shared interest in classical music and books.
Hostile Connections:
Louis Martin-Rovet (Annoyance): Helenus isn’t overly fond of spies, and doesn’t appreciate his customers being spied on either. Any time he finds a trace of the rats in his shop he will make sure to remove it, constantly trying to get rid of any foothold they may have. Despite this he would never do anything to permanently harm or kill any of them. As the head of GOLD Louis has become the main focus of his annoyance.
Pets:
Paris: A tabby cat he adopted that seems to spend most of its life asleep on top of a pile of books in the shop or attacking the plants in the flat above it.
Argus: His sister's friendly and gentle irish wolfhound. He is often by Cassandra’s side or curled up in arm chairs he is much too big for.
→ History His mother Amara was a human, working as a servant in the household of a wealthy merchant in the Venetian controlled Duchy of the Aegean. When the merchant's wife found out she was pregnant she took pity on her, moving her to a role in the kitchen and allowing her to keep the twins. Helenus and his sister were loved by the other servants but their happy, sheltered world couldn’t last forever. Their powers started to manifest at age ten, much to their Christian mother's horror. It was pure luck that the local priest was also a witch. He placed the twins with a mentor outside of the town, away from prying eyes. When he turned sixteen Helenus was sold to a ‘mentor’ in the Venetian military. He found he was a natural fighter and a strong sailor once he could get control of his fear of being on the water. This led many to joke he was in fact the Trojan he was named for. Whilst there were parts of being in the army he enjoyed, (getting to travel, the camaraderie) it came with much cruelty from superiors and a constant feeling like there was part of him missing. When he made it out and back to his twin it took him a long time to talk about what had happened but he found the same was true of Cassandra. Her mentor had turned abusive. One night he said enough was enough and the pair fled in the night.
They settled first in Constantinople where they found a mentor that was as wise as he was kind. The city became home, and Helenus started to put down roots. He met another witch, Nesrin and married her. He’d never been drawn to women but he cared for her very much and in the short years of their marriage considered himself very happy. Even after Nesrin’s death during the fall of Constantinople Helenus stayed in the city, finding there was so much to learn from this new culture. He buried himself in the scrolls and books being brought into the city, and the knowledge they contained. Eventually though it became necessary to leave due to growing attention from a family of hunters drawn by greed to his twins abilities. First they went back to Greece, then on to Italy, the Baltic, England and so on until they settled in America.
→ The Present Helenus can still often be found with his head in a book. Since discovering his love of learning he hasn’t really stopped, and this passion has led him to open a book shop of his own. He has also started to open till 1am a few nights a week to cater to the city's vampire community. Some have criticized how he runs the place, given that he’ll happily let people sit and read all day without buying anything, but that’s just the way he likes it. He feels he has a good living and isn’t in any rush to drag more money out of his customers. His life is perhaps a quiet one but he likes that too, it feels peaceful after years of moving around.
After talking with his sister he has realized that, like her, he hasn’t had any mentees in a while after taking some time out for his own studies. He now feels like he would be open to the idea again, always happy to pass on what he has learnt.

Ronan C Cleirigh → Henry Cavill → Warlock
→ Basic Information
Age: 1442
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Powers: Necromancer
Birthday: November 11th
Zodiac Sign: Scorpio
Religion: Buddhist
Mark: Cleirigh
Generation: 1st
→ His Personality Rather than talk about his feelings Ronan will bark out sarcastic comments, give death threats or blow it off as nothing he could not handle, as if it is nothing to worry about. He is a tough guy. Ronan pretends he can take it all while suffering on the inside. He does not come off as caring, but he is a man who feels deeply; he just hides the feeling well. Ronan does not trust easily and if someone is a human or non-warlock it’s more likely to not happen at all. He can be a good person to talk to; he knows a lot about life, but the person has to get past his brash outer layer. They may get lucky and find out that there is something a little deeper to him. Ronan is a necromancer and lives by the stereotype. He is a modern loner and prefers to be left alone. He has a permanent glare that has mostly everyone running for the hills. Ronan carries himself high above everyone else because he is confident in himself and his power. Since childhood Ronan has dabbled in death and dying, placing a dark cloud over his outlook on life and the living. As sinister as it may seem, he takes great pleasure knowing he has the power to either end life or give life with a simple gesture.
→ His Personal Facts
Occupation: Owner of Shutter Magic International Imports & Exports and Mentor
Scars: One scar. Starts at above left eye and over left eyebrow. (140 Stitches)
Tattoos: Half lower arm sleeves on both arms. And Death’s vine on his middle finger.
Two Likes: Silence and Being Alone
Two Dislikes: Crowds and Technology
Two Fears: Life Without Magic and The 5th and 7th Circles of Hell
Two Hobbies: Training/Mentoring and Expanding his Knowledge of Supernaturals
Three Positive Traits: Suave, Sacrificing, Influential
Three Negative Traits: Irritable, Pessimistic, Ominous
→ His Connections
Parent Names:
Elizabeth Quim (Mother): Ronan doesn’t remember much about his mother. Simply that she cared for him and raised him until he left home.
Sibling Names:
Kaylor Cleirigh (Sister): Ronan is a protective older brother. Kaylor loves to push his buttons and question his ethics. He still loves her… sometimes.
Roman Cleirigh (Brother): Roman and Ronan’s relationship is the strongest out of the first generation Cleirigh siblings. Ronan basically raised Roman.
Garrett Cleirigh (Brother): Garrett has always been Ronan’s best friend.
Children Names:
Nathan Cleirigh (Son): His oldest son. Ronan and Nathan's relationship has always been a little rocky but for the most part they can live with each other.
Ethan Cleirigh (Son): His middle child. Ethan wasn’t planned but Ronan has no regrets when it comes to Ethan and what he has done with his life so far. Ronan is proud of his middle child and hopes that Ethan can learn from himself and Roman in order to take over the family business someday.
Sean O’Payne-Cleirigh (Son): His second middle child. Sean was cursed with the same power as Ronan. Unlike his brothers, he had no control and used his powers for unspeakable things. Ronan personally decapitated Sean and took his heart.
Judson Cleirigh (Son): His third middle child. Judson was his youngest son until recently. Ronan doesn’t have favorites when it comes to his children but he does favor Judson and his active role in the supernatural community. While Judson takes after Roman with potions, Ronan is grateful that he took time to learn about wards, spells and charms to appease him.
Teyla ‘Tikka’ Cleirigh (Daughter): Tikka is Ronan’s first and only daughter. She came as a surprise to Loland and himself. The scent of death looming on her soon after her birth was also a surprise. They’re both excited to teach their little necromancer everything they know.
Altair Cleirigh (Son): His youngest son. Loland wanted to try for another child after Tikka was born. With their daughter’s birth, Loland realized she missed having children in their home and Ronan agreed. Much to Ronan's disdain, Altair has the power of disintegration, same as Garrett. Ronan remembers the hell of raising his younger brother and isn’t ready for round two just yet.
Romantic Connections:
Ishtar Loland Cleirigh (Wife): Ishtar is Judson, Teyla and Altair’s mother and proud step-mother to Ethan and Nathan. Ronan is madly in love with Ishtar and often refers to her as Loland. While their relationship could never be considered as normal, they are both loyal to their vows and commitment to each other.
Josephine O’Payne (Dead): Jo was the mother of Sean. She kept their son away from Ronan. Ronan blames her for the way he was raised and turned out. Before he dealt with Sean, Ronan had to kill Jo. He doesn’t regret it.
Willow Radium (Ex-Girlfriend): She is Ethan's mother. She left Ethan at Ronan’s doorstep when he was a few months old. Ronan had no clue that she was pregnant when they broke up and had abandoned the home she knew of months before. If it wasn’t for his active wards Ethan would have eventually died there alone. Ronan has never tried to look for her. It’s rumored that she is dead.
Lilith Harlow (Sex Partner): She is Nathan mom. Lilith and Ronan are no longer friends and he would rather forget about that phase of stupidity.
Platonic Connections:
Brighton ‘Bee’ Genesis (Brother-In-Law): Ronan considers Bee to be his full blooded brother and never refers to him as brother-in-law anymore.
Ryan Cleirigh (Grandson): Ronan refused to help raise Ryan when Judson brought him home but he caved in soon after seeing the straight bullshit Judson was putting the child through. Ronan hopes Ryan will follow in his footsteps and become a master of wards and spells.
Duke Thornton (Distant Cousin): Duke has a Cleirigh mark that seems to be a few generations old. However, none of them can figure out from where since Duke has no memories of his parents. Ronan took in both Duke and his twin brother, Aries, when they were well in their late 300s.
Aries Thornton (Distant Cousin): Ronan is always bailing Aries out in one way or another. Theirnology runs in their family and Aries, like Duke once did, thinks it's fun to mess about with the supernatural creatures he can control. This causes Ronan to gray quicker than his own kids.
Akasha Genesis (Niece): Akasha is a miniature of Kaylor. They both can get on his last nerve and then soothe him, as if they were not the cause.
Gennifer Genesis (Niece): Gennifer was one of the reasons Ronan didn’t want kids. They have a stronger relationship now that she is an adult, but she was a horrible toddler and teenager.
Owen Genesis (Nephew): Owen is much like Nathan. He does not rely on his powers and he does not have a lot in common with Ronan.
Eric Lasiter (Former Mentee): Ronan considers Eric to be a good friend of his. If he could label someone else as his best friend without freaking out his brother, Eric would be it.
Talia Cleirigh (Former Mentee): She’s not bad. Ronan likes her and he approves of her dating his son, Ethan. She excelled as a student and helped Roman through dark times. He gave her the Cleirigh name without batting an eye.
Kady Gaines (Former Mentee): Kady joined the Cleirighs to mentor for her Master level powers. Ronan has sought Kady out while she was still working on her advanced powers and offered to mentor her once she was done.
Jia Hu Cleirigh (Former Mentee): Jia is one of the only warlocks that isn’t family that Ronan is fine being around and allows into his home. Although, he keeps his thoughts about Jia and Garrett's relationship to himself.
Winifred ‘Winnie’ Zhao (Former Mentee): Mentoring Winnie was easier than Ronan’s usual mentees because of his past experiences with dream manipulators. She left to expand her knowledge in potions but they still keep in contact.
Lyra Cleirigh (Former Mentee): Lyra switched around from Ronan, Roman, Garrett, Kaylor, and other mentors before mastering evocation. Ronan offered her the Cleirigh name after her training since her family had disowned her. She is so far the only person to ever be mentored by all the 1st generation Cleirigh.
Helenus Askeris (Former Mentee): Ronan considers Helenus an old friend and rarely addresses him as a former mentee. Although, Ronan has kept his disapproval to himself about Helenus and Nathan’s past relationship.
Bill White (Former Mentee): Ronan has watched after and mentored Bill for centuries. He is unsure if it is because they share the same powers or Bill parents' prejudice towards necromancers and evocators but Ronan considers Bill family.
Audo Wilhelm (Mentee): Ronan chose Audo because he has great potential and Ronan likes pissing off the Wilhelms. He’s considering giving Audo the Cleirigh name if he continues his mentoring with him.
Ken McStevens (Mentee): Ken tried to feed off of him once to see what would happen. Ronan was not a fan and instead attacking or killing him, Ronan chose to mentor the fool. Ken is slowly growing on him and Ronan finds him entertaining.
Jev ‘Patch’ Cipriano (Family Friend): Patch has been his son's best friend since Ronan could remember. Patch embarrassingly keeps him on his toes. Sometimes it feels like he has six kids instead of five. There’s no hatred for Patch but Ronan cannot wait for the day Patch learns to shut up and mind his own business.
Averill Sookram (Friend): Averill and Loland share the same powers. Averill has become somewhat of an ally and a good friend to their entire family.
Jace Cicero (Friend): Ronan has nothing against Jace as a witch or his powers. Once, Ronan simply believed that Jace should not be on the Council. Then they talked and Jace is not that bad. Ronan genuinely likes him.
Minsky Edison (Friend/Annoyance): Since becoming serious with Kudzai, Minsky and Ronan friendship has taken a drop. Ronan still invites him over for playoffs and beers.
Tristan Lawton (Acquaintance): Kudzai has recently informed the Council that one of her mentees may have been misplaced as a Biokinetic. Ronan has heard Tristan’s name floating around and has fixed a few of his accidental deaths. Kudzai is unsure about him being a Biokinetic and believes he may be something else or something new entirely. Minsky and Ronan have been doing research to try and help figure it out before Tristan can do more damage in the wrong field.
Katherine ‘Kate’ Brooks (Acquaintance): Kate is the female human that spends too much time with Patch, Ryan and Judson. He’s unsure how he feels about her.
Hostile Connections:
Belle Cunningham (Annoyance): Belle has been annoying Ronan to save her mother, Velma. He has repeatedly told her no but she is persistent.
Kudzai Rinker (Annoyance): Ronan believes Kudzai purposely goes against him on Council decisions. She is constantly competing with him.
Pets:
None
→ History Ronan doesn’t remember much about his early life besides his mother's face. She didn’t look like him and he didn’t look like her. He remembers the town people shunning them because of the horrible smell of death around their hut and their dying land. Later on, long after he left town and his mother’s death, Ronan found out it was because of him. A weird phenomenon that all necromancers face. He learned to walk as they sailed across large bodies of water, never staying in one place too long. He doesn’t remember where he and his mother originated from but he does remember running into a warlock in Persia at the age of 16, days after his mothers’ death.
Augustus knew what Ronan was the moment he saw him and his mark. He took him in and introduced him to the supernatural world. Little was known about necromancers, few usually joined the supernatural community, and when they did they stayed to themselves. Ronan was happy to help Augustus and the Persian people as he learned about their history and started training with his powers. Ronan noticed a change in Augustus the more he learned about his powers and the more control he had over death. He knew he was in danger and missed constantly moving as he once did with his mother. Ronan left Augustus and Persia behind, touring Europe and Asia as he mastered his advanced powers and dabbled in the darkness of supernatural spells, potions, curses and shields. However, Augustus wasn’t always too far behind him, spewing to life that necromancers were soulless and should not be allowed within the supernatural communities. For the first time in his life, Ronan was caught off guard, blinded by the small seed of compassion he still had for Augustus. As a result, Ronan's head was chopped off and his heart removed from his chest to keep him from resurrecting.
That’s where Kaylor, who he found out shared his mark, found him nearly 80 years later. She placed him back together again and helped him gain his revenge. He didn’t care if he gave necromancers everywhere a bad name. He became what they thought of him and much worse. He took young Kaylor and her husband Brighton under his wings and vowed to find everyone that shared his mark and protect them from the stupidity of the witch and warlock kind. That’s how he eventually found Roman as a baby and Garrett as a teen. It was hundreds of years later and the list of shunned powers grew and his cruel nature against his own kind became notorious.
Ronan was in his mid seven hundred when he found out one of his sexual partners was pregnant. He never wanted kids and definitely not with Lilith. He tried building a life with her after finding out about her pregnancy, and confirming it was his, but it was short lived. He should have learned his lesson with her but years later another toddler was left on his door steps by a woman he tried to get to replace Lilith as their son, Nathan's mother. Ronan and Willow had broken up months before and her method of dropping the toddler off on his doorstep was unacceptable. If it weren’t for his siblings Ronan is sure he wouldn’t have survived with the two crying little shits. He met Ishtar by chance in Brazil as they migrated towards the New World and he was sure it was love at first sight. He nearly killed her, believing she was using magic to captivate him until Ethan giggled and hugged her leg. Ethan never giggled. He, Kaylor, Roman, Garrett, Bee, and Nathan tried many times to get the toddler to laugh and he just wouldn’t. Ronan was sure she had done something to his son too but the second pause was long enough for Ishtar to open her mouth and send him crashing into a wall with a spell. Roman and Kaylor calmed him enough to explain she was protecting herself. She wiggled her way into their lives and joined their travels. It wasn’t long before Ronan knew she was the one and they were married before they reached the Mexican border, where Ishtar gave birth to their son, Judson.
With a growing family and a different view about necromancers, Ronan settled into a less violent way of life and living. He took on a few arcane and mental mentees, helped the locals with warding and shields, and petitioned to have the Cleirigh mark added permanently to the Book of Marks. It took him another three hundred years to clear the deadly stereotype he had made for himself and other necromancers. Only then did he feel okay settling down in one place; Chicago, Illinois. While they did leave when people became suspicious of their age they always returned. Ronan earned a spot on the Council and became notorious for being a great mentor rather than pain and death.
→ The Present Ronan is focused completely on his mentees, business and his seat on the Council. While Ishtar and his two youngest are away on another expedition in Namibia, Ronan has been tasked with finishing their unfinished basement and looking after her herb garden. Ronan had also taken on two mentees that he normally wouldn’t and is out of sorts on how to train them or where to start beside the basics. Not wanting to have his reputation ruined, Ronan has been harder on them than his previous mentees. After years of mastering his craft and becoming a notable mentor, Ronan is learning how to enjoy himself and the life he has built. He’s considering taking time off once Teyla has reached the age of 10 years old, Altair would be nearing 8 and a half, to teach them personally how to teleport and other basics to being warlocks.

Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual/Demisexual
Powers: Ferromancy
Birthday: August 25
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Religion: Hellenic Polytheism
Mark: Unknown
Generation: Unknown
→ Her Personality
Despite never being a mother it is clear from her treatment of most people she has strong nurturing instincts. Since reaching half a century she has on occasion taken on mentees and greatly enjoys seeing others flourish. Most consider her to be a gentle soul but on the very rare occasion she is pushed to rage she is anything but gentle. Her emotions have always run close to the surface and whilst she likes to keep her past a secret she struggles to hide what she is feeling.
For the most part she prefers to weigh others by their actions and choices rather than what they are. However she has always had a soft spot for animal shifters, especially wolves and heavies, and has called a few friends throughout her life.
→ Her Personal Facts

Scars: One on her back, along her shoulder blade and one on her abdomen
Tattoos: None
Two Likes: Poetry and Classical Music

Helenus Askeris (Twin Brother): She has always been extremely close to her twin and knows they would do anything for each other.
Children Names:
None
Romantic Connections:
None
Platonic Connections:
Marni Frazier (Friendly): Cassandra and Marni met at an abuse shelter where they were both volunteering.
Deucalion Thornton (Friend): Cassandra met Deucalion back when he was still just a warlock. When she found they were in the same city, and having heard what had happened to him she reached out to him, renewing their friendship.
Hollis Sony (Old Friend): Hollis was someone Cassandra met by pure chance but has been friends with ever since. With no children of her own she has enjoyed watching Hollis’ children grow up.
Michael Shaw (New Friend): Michael and Cassandra met at Anonymous and struck up a conversation that lasted till closing. Those conversations have continued since then and they’ve started to form a friendship.
Selene Andris (Friendly): Cassandra met Selene at the wolves job and is always happy to chat to her there. They’ve started to form a friendship from this and have talked about meeting up for coffee.
Michael Johansen (Acquaintance): They first met a long time ago but recognised each other more recently at a charity event. Cassandra respects him and what he’s done for his daughter.
Anna Johansen (Acquaintance): Cassandra has recently met Anna through her father and thinks she’s very sweet.
Jia Hu Cleirigh (Friend): Jia and Cassandra have crossed paths several times over their lives due to mutual friends and in more recent decades have formed a friendship of their own.
Garrett Cleirigh (Friend): They first met through their mutual connections with Jia and Judson. Cassandra wasn’t sure about Garrett at first, especially given his reputation but he consistently tried and has won her over.
Judson Cleirigh (Old Friend): Cassandra can’t really remember when she first met Judson, it feels like he’s been her friend for almost her entire life.
Gloria Ramos (Acquaintance/business connection): They first met at an auction when one of Cassandra’s pieces came on to the market accidentally. Cassandra is cautious of Gloria, as she has a hard time trusting hunters, but she has been willing to help destroy a few dangerous magical objects for her.
Amber Chase (Former mentee/Friend): Cassandra mentored Amber for a while before she felt it was time to move on. The two got on well and have remained friends.
Jace Cicero (Former mentor): Both Cassandra and her twin brother mentored with Jace for a long period of time. Of the mentors they’ve had he was one of her favourites and she’s made sure to keep in touch.
Alyss De Silva (Acquaintance): Cassandra first met Alyss when she came to her as a customer. The young warlock's interest in Cassandra’s work has led to many conversations and a friendship starting to form.
Hostile Connections:
Bitwa Armii (Mild dislike): Given what Cassandra has seen and heard of Bitwa her opinion of him isn’t that great. She thinks he is too tough on his mentees and doesn’t agree with how hard he pushes them.
Cephalus (ex-mentor/deceased): Cassandra wept with relief the day she heard of his death. She keeps those tears as a reminder that she’s free of him forever.
Pets:
Paris : a tabby cat her brother adopted that seems to spend much of its life sleeping on piles of books in the shop or attacking plants in the flat above.
Argus : a friendly and gentle Irish wolfhound that can often be found asleep near Cassandra’s feet when she’s working or squeezed into an armchair he is much too big for.
→ History Her mother Amara was a human, working as a servant in the household of a wealthy merchant in the Venetian controlled Duchy of the Aegean. When the merchant's wife found out she was pregnant she took pity on her, moving her to a role in the kitchen and allowing her to keep the twins. Cassandra and her brother were loved by the other servants but their happy, sheltered world couldn’t last forever. Their powers started to manifest at age ten, much to their Christian mother's horror. It was pure luck that the local priest was also a witch. He placed the twins with a mentor outside of the town, away from prying eyes. When she and Helenus turned sixteen he was sold into the Venetian military and Cassandra was left on the island. At first it was just as it had been before, aside from constantly feeling like part of her was missing. As the years passed however, her mentor became harsher and vicious. He had realised that when she was extremely upset or frightened she cried tears of gemstones. So he pushed her to that place often so he could sell her tears. With nowhere else to go she had no choice but to stay and endure his abuse but when Helenus returned he saw straight through what was happening. Before long he’d packed their bags and they fled in the night.
They settled first in Constantinople where they found a mentor that was as wise as he was kind. The city became home, and Cassandra slowly recovered. With each passing week she grew stronger in both her confidence and her abilities. When Helenus announced he was going to marry she was surprised, having long suspected he wasn’t attracted to women. She liked his wife Nesrin very much though, becoming close friends with the other witch. When Constantinople fell and Nesrin was killed Cassandra’s confidence was shaken. Whilst her brother buried himself in books she kept her head down and got on with daily life. Soon though her interest was caught as her brothers had been. She found herself seeking out the new practitioners in the city to learn from them. The most beneficial of which was an alchemist who helped her finally understand the true nature of her power. Eventually though it became necessary to leave to avoid a family of greedy hunters that had heard of her abilities. First back to Greece, then on to Italy, the Baltic, England and so on, until they settled in America.
→ The Present The last few years Cassandra has been more focused on her work, finding a new spark of inspiration in the botanical world. However she misses mentoring and has realised she would quite like to take on that roll again should the right person ask her. She often misses her Mediterranean home but has found she is rather fond of Chicago. That has a lot to do with the people. Since settling here she has, and is still enjoying reconnection with old friends and forming new friendships. It’s something she is hoping will continue.

Sadie McCoy → Tessa Thompson → Vampire
→ Basic Information
Age: 201 (Approximate age, true age is unknown)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Birthday: September 22nd
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Religion: Atheist
→ Her Personality Sadie, like most others in the underground, doesn’t quite remember how she got to the Underground. She woke up in a hole in the ground as a new vampire and was quickly brought into the fray by Winona. This severe amnesia has formed much of the way Sadie acts and thinks in the Underground. Sadie holds a decent amount of shame and confusion over her change. It was a very odd situation to come from and she has taken to brushing off the question or being vague whenever someone asks. She has become quite a secretive person and is grateful that the vampires she is closest with have never asked much of her. In order to make up whatever inadequacies that she feels, Sadie finds herself most comfortable in organized leadership roles. Her day to day duties, when not acting as a guardian, are directing underlings, making sure that daily activities and chores get done, and that the machinations of Getta’s passion projects are running in top shape. It helps her feel like a strong and necessary part of the seethe, rather than a forgotten mystery. Her desire to have a smooth running seethe beneath her has created a perfectionism complex. Sadie will push and work until the point of exhaustion to ensure the seethe does not falter. She gets snippy and judgemental when she feels as though people are purposefully slowing her or the operation down.
Despite this, Sadie is also a rather sympathetic person. She had to learn to be patient with herself and her memory, especially in those beginning years where nothing made sense. Her patience is a courtesy that she now extends to others, and it has allowed her to connect and understand the feelings that other vampires may be going through. The largest testament to both of these things is her relationship with Dan. Had she not had her patience or sympathy, he’d have been long dead or at least far worse off.

Romantic Connections:
Winona Fili (Beloved): Sadie woke up totally alone in the pits of the Underground. Everything was bizarre and strange, and she was stumbling through the halls when Winona found her. She was one of the most beautiful women Sadies had ever seen and there was something about her that Sadie immediately trusted. Despite having no answers for who she was or where she came from, Winona took her in and helped her put together what she could of her memory. Sadie became her right hand, and would have done anything to keep Winona safe. She had fallen in love with her, though she knew despite her sly secretive smiles and occasional praise that she did not reciprocate those feelings. Still Sadie stayed patiently by her side. Then Dan came into picture and Sadie felt crushed. He was a snobby human whom Winona became obsessed with. Things moved quickly and Sadie was shocked and furious that Dan was going to be her mate. She pulled away from Winona for the first time to avoid having to deal with the couple. She had only spoken to Winona once more before she was killed. Sadie was devastated. Angry at Dan, their seethe master, and herself for not being there to help her. Dan was worse off than she was, and Sadie realized the only way to make it up to Winona was to save him.
Sven (Interested): Sadie and Sven have been partners for awhile, but it took awhile for her to see him as anything more than the silent, macabre, killing machine that she was assigned to watch over. At some point that she can quite pin down, he’s become the person she jokes around and flirts with. She’s wondering when and if he’ll see it too.
Platonic Connections:
Dan Prior (Friend): Dan is Sadie’s self-repentance to Winona. She struggled for decades to keep his sorry ass alive and moving forward and in that time she grew to like and enjoy their time together. He is doing better than ever and she’s proud of him for continuing to move on. Dan is one of her closest friends.
Scorpius Getta (Friend): After their previous master killed Winona, Sadie was torn apart. She probably would have left, but Getta took over and made the Chicago Nest something to want to be a part of. She is very close to Getta and has taken over most of his daily responsibilities to allow him to focus on the larger projects in the seethe.
Aleksander Mazur (Friend): Sadie and Alexsander clicked automatically and have been friends for decades. Aleksander was once interested in Sadie romantically but she had just lost Winona and was heartbroken over her when he made his move.
Isabetta Sofia Cornari (Friend): She can’t remember how or even when they became friends but it seems to Sadie they have been friends since Winona first introduced her to Isabetta.
Petra Chak (Friend): Petra and Sadie work with one another every day between the expansion and day to day business of the seethe. Despite their age difference, Sadie feels as though they have a good understanding of each other and the way they like to work.
Farrokh Alvi (Friendly): Farrokh was Sadie’s keeper. They only really see each other around the Underground, but they have a friendly enough relationship.
Fiona ‘Fi’ Marz (Friend): Fiona has gotten Sadie to let her hair down and relax. Their personalities crashed when Sadie was first introduced to the seethe and eventually became Getta’s secretary. Once they were able to hang out around each other away from work a friendship grew between them.
Morana ‘Ana’ Vickors (Friendly): Sadie is most familiar with Ana through her work with Getta. Ana is one of the Elders in the Chicago Seethe, as well as her boss as a Guardian.
Helenus Askeris (Friendly): Helenus runs Sadie’s favorite book store. She likes to shop small and local for the seethes books whenever possible, and Helenus always has what she needs. She purchases books for both the academic and general libraries from him.
Harry Reeves (Friendly): Harry is the key to Hotel Winona becoming up and running. She is happy to see that he’s fitting in well, but is concerned with their little gas problem. She has looked into ventilation systems that may help him breathe if a gas pocket were to be exposed.
Hostile Connections:
Raphael Caron (Annoyance): Raphael loves to experiment with food. Food that will often poison whoever eats it. Sadie got sick one too many times and now avoids him at all costs.
Richard Fili (Irritation): Fili is a loose canon, and she has yet to hear a compelling argument to keep him on as a Runner and has been pushing to have him retire or even teach for decades. They dislike each other.

Nathan Cleirigh → Hugh Dancy → Warlock
→ Basic Information
Age: 766
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay/Questioning
Powers: Elenchus
Birthday: January 7th
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn
Religion: Christian
Mark: Cleirigh
Generation: 2nd
→ His Personality Nathan is the black sleep of the Cleirigh mark and his family. Compared to his family, and most other witches and warlocks, Nathan is unreliant on his power. It's a helpful tool in his profession, but if he lost his power, he could go on. At times he forgets he even has it. Nathan is also unique in his resistance against the melancholia that pervades older witches and warlocks. Nathan appreciates every time period for what it was, and lives firmly in the present. With an ‘inactive’ mental power, Nathan has always turned to knowledge. He’s smart and excels at everything he tries. He is extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Nathan also has a well-developed power of concentration. He truly loves life.
→ His Personal Facts
Occupation: Psychiatrist at Cleirigh Psychiatry Center
Scars: Yes
Tattoos: None
Two Likes: Newborns and Midnight
Two Dislikes: Pathological Liars and Deadbeat Parents
Two Fears: Being Burnt At The Stake and Losing Control
Two Hobbies: Meditation and Crosswords/Sudoku
Three Positive Traits: Romantic, Hopeful, Understanding
Three Negative Traits: Blunt, Unforgiving, Arrogant
→ His Connections
Parent Names:
Ronan Cleirigh (Father): Nathan bumps heads with his father often and their relationship has been strained since the disappearance of Nathan's younger brother Sean. He doesn’t agree with a lot of things he’s father does but is trying to mend their relationship.
Lilith Harlow (Mother): His mother is one of his best friends. Nathan grew past his hatred of her leaving him with his father and not trying to establish a relationship for him. She is married and works as a foster mother for unwanted or abandoned witches and warlocks. She refers most of her children to him.
Ishtar Cleirigh (Step Mother): Ishtar has tried many times to get on his good side but Nathan is content with just one mother. He doesn’t care for her but shows her the utmost respect as the mother of his siblings and the wife of his father.
Sibling Names:
Ethan Cleirigh (Brother): They don’t have much in common and are polar opposites but Ethan is his little brother and Nathan loves him. Nathan has an underlying jealousy of Ethan's close relationship with their father, brothers and other family members.
Sean O’Payne-Cleirigh (Brother): Nathan doesn’t remember much about Sean anymore but he knows that his brother deserved better.
Judson Cleirigh (Brother): Judson is his best friend and they’re the closest of their siblings. Lately, Nathan has been feeling Judson pulling away from him and he’s trying not to blame it on Ethan or Roman taking up his time.
Teyla Cleirigh (Sister): Nathan was surprised to find his father and step-mother were having another child. Teyla is sweet but there’s not much Nathan can do for her right now. He is her last line babysitter which is far too rare.
Altair Cleirigh (Borther): Altair wasn’t a surprise. After Ronan and Ishtar renewed their vows, Nathan knew another sibling wasn’t far behind. Unlike his relationship with Teyla, Nathan finds himself more active in Altair's life.
Children Names:
None
Romantic Connections:
Richard Fili (Interest): Nathan and Fili have been going out on dates randomly for decades. Nathan does not know if what they have is an on again/off again relationship. That is mostly because they can never seem to make it past date number three without losing contact or Fili freaking out and calling things off. Nathan cannot remember if they have ever kissed or done anything more than hold hands. Fili has been sending Nathan gifts lately which Nathan has returned but Nathan can not help but to feel smitten by the gesture. Unable to trust Fili again, Nathan has been trying to avoid Fili and keep his own feeling about the vampire at bay. Fili showing interest again couldn’t have come at a worst time.
Helenus Askeris (Ex-Lover): Both Nathan and Helenus were still reasonably young when they met. Their friendship quickly developed into something more. Over the years though, they found their lives pulling them along different paths and to completely different places. Before things got messy they decided they should break it off, and as a result they are still on good terms to this day.
Matt Staton (Ex-Boyfriend): Matt nearly ruined Nathan’s life and tore him away from his family. Nathan placed Matt first on multiple occasions, including his own emotions. His wants were placed on the back burner by Matt and had ultimately led to their break up. Nathan nearly proposed to Matt and wanted to suggest that he take a vampire’s bite so that they could be together forever. Nathan’s hatred runs so deep that he wishes nothing but the worst for Matt.
Platonic Connections:
Talia Cleirigh (Co-Worker/Friend): Talia and Nathan have more than one connection outside of work. She is his father's former mentee, she is dating his little brother and she lives with and mentally cares full time for his uncle. Nathan considers her a true friend. Outside of work and his family, they would still be friends.
Kady Gaines (Friend): Nathan formed an easy friendship with Kady as she mentored with Ronan. She finds his powers amusing and he finds her amusing.
Lyra Cleirigh (Friend): Nathan and Lyra bonded while she mentored with Kaylor. He usually tries not to ‘shrink’ family and friends but he has convinced Lyra to come visit him and has promised that Dr. Cleirigh will stand apart from Nathan.
Ryan Cleirigh (Nephew): Nathan tried to get Ryan not to rely on his magic as much but failed. He’s worried about his nephew but Ryan refuses to come in to talk to him. It's against the family rules to force himself on family members but Nathan is considering it for Ryan’s own good.
Akasha Genesis (Cousin): Akasha’s wild and free spirit drives Nathan up the wall. She purposely tries his nerves and it drives him away from her every time. They were close when they were younger but Nathan has no idea what happened.
Gennifer Genesis (Cousin): As a child, Nathan was once in love with Gennifer before he realized he couldn’t marry or date family and that he was more interested in men.
Owen Genesis (Cousin): Owen is the brother Nathan always wanted but never had. Their friendship is blossoming more now that Judson is occupied.
(Nathan does not see those he offers therapy as part of his platonic connections).
Hostile Connections:
Jia Hu Cleirigh (Annoyance): Nathan has made very little progress with Jia. Despite them being friends and technically family, Jia drives Nathan up the wall.
Clarisse Fields (Annoyance): Clara is in denial. Her lies give Nathan a headache. Even more so that she believes in most of her lies. She’s a good friend but lately she’s been more of an annoyance and Nathan dreads their sessions together.
Dan Prior (Annoyance): Dan was in a dark place when he first came to Nathan nearly 30 years ago. Sometimes they make progress and sometimes Nathan finds himself blocked out completely. He is almost at a loss with Dan and that has never happened to him.
Pets:
Tyr and Fenrir (Brother Capybaras): Nathan mistakenly brought them both online thinking they were expensive stuffed animals for his child patients. Unable to return them and unwilling to send them to the zoo, Nathan kept them.
→ History Nathan didn’t have a hard life or a complicated life. Besides his father and mother being separated, Nathan lived and enjoyed the plain and simple life. While his younger brothers focused on magic, Nathan begged his father to let him attend the local schools, wanting to learn about the human world too. He enjoyed it and enjoyed a break from the constant buzzing of magic around him. He was almost 16 when he learned that he wouldn’t age like his friends. Nathan associated it with their constant moving, he wanted to abandon the supernatural path and his powers. Thanks to his powers he knew that wasn’t at all possible. That’s when he started refusing to rely on magic and it drove everyone mad.
Nathan had always been interested in why people lied and what triggered such sadness in people. That curiosity led him to join the medical field. At first it was human biology that caught his attention, then neuroscience and pathology. It took him a while to settle into a field, as new ones popped up every decade, but Nathan had a knack for listening to people and helping them. In the early 1800’s Nathan entered psychiatry; the medical treatment of the soul. Nathan never changed his profession. Every 40 or 50 years returning to school and learning new findings. When his family settled in Chicago, Nathan opened up his own practice, to both humans and supernaturals. It took decades to get the local animal shifters, vampires and human shifters to trust him and he respects that trust above all else.
→ The Present Nathan has recently gotten out of a bad relationship that nearly ended him and placed him at odds with his family and friends. Nathan thought he was in love with Matt, a human and was blinded by his need for normalcy outside of the supernatural community. Although it has been nearly a year, he has yet to fully recover and still refuses to join the dating scene, especially with Fili. Nathan knows that his breakup with Matt has caused an unwarranted hate and distrust of humans within him. However, their break up also pushed him to be closer to his family and triggered a family oriented trait he was unaware he had. Never had he ever shown an interest in his father, uncles or brothers' work within the supernatural community. Now he finds during his free time he’s sitting around watching Judson or Roman mixing potions and asking questions and offering to help his father with the wards around the house and their establishments. Nathan's next step is rekindling friendships and a closer bond to his patients.
