hiii ! can i request anniversary date with minghao?? thank you 😄
have this dance — x.mh
pairings: boyfriend!minghao x reader
genre: pure fluff
warnings: established relashionship
wk: 0.5k
summary: your boyfriend takes you to his home country for your anniversary.
For your 4th year anniversary, your amazing boyfriend Minghao had a very particular yet elegant idea.
You actually never expected something like this as a date, since usually people would go to fancy restaurants, movie nights or picnics.
Here you are, in Hangzhou City, in China. Your boyfriend's home country. The city is futuristic, yet so traditional it actually impressed you.
"Hao this place is beautiful" you exclaim, turning towards him and flash him a wide grin. He looks at you, returning the smile.
"I knew you would've liked it my love, that's why I chose this city specifically". Your heart melts at his reply.
Not only he spent so much time in organising this trip, he also considered your likings. He knew you so well.
You look around and the buildings are huge, everything is made out of glass, you've also seen the big dome that stands at the side of the city.
After having a delicious lunch at a simple chinese restaurant, your boyfriend took your to Lingyin temple, then walked you through the botanical garden just to arrive at the Hefang Street, with its beautiful bridge.
Night has finally arrived. Indeed to say, you had a beautiful time. Learning about your boyfriend's culture and home country made you happy, it was very intriguing. And your boyfriend was even more happy to know that.
"Where are we going, Hao?" You ask giggling while your boyfriend dragged you by your interlocked hands.
"You'll see" He replied, a smug smile on his face.
After walking for a while, you arrive at a beautiful lake.
You let out a small gasp at the beauty in front of you. The lake had a clean colour, the sunset made it even more beautiful. The gente sound of the water made you close your eyes and breathe deeply. You felt relaxed.
Minghao silently watches you, satisfied with your reaction. Meditate with you definitely had its effects.
"What do you think?" He lets out, voice barely coming out, sounding like a whisper.
You slowly open your eyes. "It's...beautiful indeed". You turn to him and smile.
He smiles back and takes your hand, leading you towards one of the causeways.
You arrive at a small, very small temple, that was empty in the centre.
You couldn't get the smile off your face. Minghao looks at you and gently grabs your hand.
"Have this dance with me, my pretty lady" He looks into your eyes, lovingly.
You giggle, your eyes also locked with his. "With pleasure".
Minghao has one hand holding yours and the other rests on your waist. While one of your hand rested on his shoulder.
You rock your bodies back and forth, he turns you around, spins you. Pushes you forward just to re-pull you closer to him. Both of you smiling the whole time.
After the final spin, your back is pressed against his chest. He kisses your cheek, resting his face against your head.
"我爱你" (i love you) he murmurs in your hair, kissing it.
"我也爱你" (i love you too). You reply, turning your body back to him, your forehead now resting against his. "非常". (so much).
He pulls away and looks at you, smiling. "You improved a lot".
You laugh, throwing your head back. "It's all thanks to my amazing teacher". You also look at him, smiling.
He keeps looking at you, your eyes and then his gaze falls to your lips. He leans in and kisses you sweetly, while the sun sets behind your connected bodies.
"Happy anniversary, my love".
a/n: hi i'm on vacation rn but this was staying in my drafts for way too long (sorry for the wait heh). i don't really like it honestly but i hope you do! (i also hope my researches are correct cause i've never been to china nor i know places in there😭).

Five rumours Pangzi spread and one that was true - Chapter 1
Summary: Five rumours Pangzi spread about Wu Xie’s love life and one that wasn’t a rumour
Wu Xie loved Pangzi, adored him even. The man was literally the brother he never had, his platonic soulmate. But he could also admit that Pangzi pissed him off like no one else ever could. Not even Xiao Hua and they’ve known each other since their diaper days. Pangzi annoyed him in a number of ways. He was loud, had sticky fingers and dragged Wu Xie into his messes. But the worst thing he did? Start stupid rumours about Wu Xie’s love life that spread around China like wildfire.
1. Pangzi
They’d been friends for a few months when the rumours started trickling through Hefang Street. Wu Xie was used to people talking behind his back. Whether it was that he only succeeded due to his family name and his uncle’s support or saying his looks and lithe body helped him more than his brain, Wu Xie didn’t care. He knew his uncles helped and he could admit that he did use his attractiveness to his advantage. Let people say what they want, Wu Xie knew he was damn good at what he did and he worked hard too. But he had to admit, this one threw him a bit.
“He looks so sad.”
“He can do better anyway.”
“I heard that Wu Xie was caught with someone else.”
Glaring at the men whispering behind him quickly shut them up. Wu Xie left the shop, bags in hands, very confused. It almost sounded like they were talking about him being in a relationship? Which was ridiculous. Wu Xie hadn’t been with anyone since Hou Daofu and they’d broken up a few years ago. He never even brought anyone back home on his nights out. So, what the hell was going on?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The whispers continued. Wu Xie was a cheater, he was heartbroken, he couldn’t go on without the love of his life. And yet, Wu Xie had no idea who these people were talking about! Who was this mysterious love of his life? It was honestly starting to annoy him and he wanted answers. Pity no one would talk to him about it. Wang Meng said that people were afraid how he’d react.
“Fine then! You ask them. And do not come back to Wushanju without answers!”
He tried to slam the gates behind Wang Meng’s back but the damn things were too heavy. Wu Xie hated Wushanju sometimes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wang Meng arrived back a few hours later, interrupting Wu Xie as he recorded their new stock. Wu Xie did not like the grin on his face, he looked way too happy. Nothing good ever came of Wang Meng being that happy. Wang Meng watched the other man work knowing the quieter he was, the more impatient Wu Xie would be. After recording the same vase three times, Wu Xie broke.
“Well? You must know something. I know that stupid smirk on your face means you know something that I don’t.”
“And you hate that.”
“Right now? Yes!”
“Ok, you know Mrs. Chen?”
“Yeah, owns the noodle shop down the street. Sweet woman, good noodles.”
“Great noodles. Anyway, about two months ago, a man came into the shop just before closing. She said he was pretty well kept, heavy set, very chatty and made a lot of stupid jokes.”
“Pangzi.”
“I assume so, he never shared his name. He did however talk about his broken heart. About how he loved the young owner of the antique shop, but had to choose between you and Beijing. It was the most difficult decision of his life but his business had to come before his heart and you, a fellow businessman, understood that. He had to leave Hangzhou that night because he knew dragging your separation out would hurt you both too much. But you, Wu Xie, were the love of his life and he could never imagine having anyone else!”
Wang Meng paused, wanting to see his laoban’s reaction. Wu Xie’s normally pale skin was bright red, his fists clenched and shaking by his side. Wang Meng was trying not to laugh. He’d never seen Wu Xie so angry before, it was kinda funny.
“Thank you for finding that out Wang Meng. If you’ll excuse me, I have a phone call to make.”
“Don’t kill him.”
“No promises.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I thought it would be funny. Tianzhen, how was I to know that it would spread like wildfire?”
“You know what these streets are like! People talk about anything and everything. Pangzi, I can’t leave my house without people talking about our so-called relationship. Do you know how annoying that is?”
“You’re right. I’m sorry, I should know better. It won’t happen again, I promise.”
“Swear it Pangzi. On the thing that means most to you.”
Pangzi laughed, loving Wu Xie trying to be threatening. It was like being threatened by a cupcake. Made a nice change from the people normally threatening him.
“I swear on my bank account that I will no longer spread any rumours about you and I being in a romantic relationship, I promise.”
A/N So a massive thank you to the DMBJ discord which gave me this prompt. Next chapter will hopefully be up in the next day or two
The Old Street’s Narrow Escape
With flagstone walkways, bright memorial archways, and time-honored stores, Hefang Street is an attractive venue traced back to a very long time ago.
Located at the foot of Wu Hill, Hefang Street is one of the busiest streets that attracts more than 30 million visitors every year.
The upkeep and preservation of this old street is not without a hitch but is greatly preserved thanks to all the efforts made by both the government and civilians.
When visiting Hangzhou one cannot miss a visit to one of the many tea villages that surround West Lake.
We decided to go to Longjing, which is 10 Km out of the city and about a 20 minute drive by taxi. We took a taxi’s since they are relitivly cheap in China and the trip cost around 5 EUR. Always make sure the meter is running when getting into a taxi in China. Driving without a meter is illegal for taxi drivers, so if a driver doesn’t have the meter on make sure you say something or be prepared that he is going to try and rip you off.
Longjing tea also known as dragon well tea, is a type of green tea that has been growing in this region for over 1200 years and is in the 10 top best teas in China. The town has a population of 800 and has many tea houses dotted around where you can try freshly picked Longjing green tea, or stop for a refreshment to admire the surroundings and people still practising ancient customs.
Tea is big business in China, one expects to go to a rural type village where you might see some forms of poverty, but like everywhere we visited in China things are completely the opposite of what you think. Parked along the plantations while workers pick the best tea leaves, we saw American muscle cars and quite a few sports cars. New meets old everywhere we went in China, even in an ancient rural tea village.
On our way back to Hangzhou we decided to walk the 10 Km back to the city. If you love to walk I can highly recommend this, the walk is filled with many surprises such as hidden Chinese gardens and amazing landscapes.
We were lucky enough that we had time to visit the ancient shopping street of Hefang. This is a street where you can easily spend a full day being mesmerised by the local shops offering food, art and Chinese trinkets.
Before going we read that a day trip to Hangzhou from Shanghai is enough. However, we spent 3 nights there and felt that we could have spent another 2 nights at least. Hangzhou is a truly magical city, where nature meets metropolis, spending a few days around West lake strangely gives you a feeling of some sort of inner peace. I say strangely as this is not something that is a common feeling in the west, yet here you get a glimpse of it.
Around the lake you can listen to locals sing karaoke, watch them dance the day away in the park or take a “Pleasure Boat” along the lake. Whatever you choose to do on your visit to this amazing city, you will leave wanting to go back.
Getting to Hangzhou from Shanghai: Take the subway to Hongqio Rail Station and buy a ticket for the bullet train to Hangzhou which costs about 10 euro per person each way. The journey doesn’t take longer than 1.5 hours.
Big red lanterns, a herald of the coming Spring Festival, are hung on Hefang Street in Hangzhou. And only a few people are seen on the street in early morning, mostly local people who come to buy goods for the Spring Festival, such as dragon beard candies, Jingyangguan pickles, marinated pork and duck, and sausages, etc. The most sought-after item is Wanlong ham, which has a history of 140 years.
