oh my goodness, that’s an amazing response! ok, since you obviously put time into writing it, I’m putting some time into this!

it sounds like you’ve found a good person!!  one of the nicest, most honest and kind people I ever met was pagan. it’s a real old religion and one full of many gentle people; a lot of unnecessary hatred is often spilled onto it as you said.  your parents sound lovely, they really do ☺️ I also have wonderful parents and often wonder how I got so lucky.

Oh, yes, I could talk for hours to him. He said he wanted to sit in a forest with a moss floor, surrounded by the trees and flowers. He specifically pointed out bluebells... The unnecessary hatred is far too rapant. A few days before he told me what he's been told, I was verbally harassed for my Jewish heritage. I think I made him feel safe in that sense, I told him he didn't have to tell me. You know when someone dances around something, hinting they aren't quite ideal and might fear rejection? He kept doing that. I kept reiterating that to make sure he understands I will respect his boundaries. He opened up. Obviously, I didn't judge him. It's quite sad to see how many of us walk on eggshells.

Again, I must agree; His good morning messages must make my eyes light up whenever I read them. I wonder if he feels happy when I respond... hm... I always question these sorts of things, has to be a symptom of my chronic overthinking lmao.

"Watch your moves Mitchell!" Said Ice in a warning tone which didn't go unnoticed by his RIO. "I don't need to lose more points because of your ass not being able to behave!" Pete already opened his mouth to say something but Iceman and Slider already left to their jets. Goose put his hand on Maverick's shoulder and opened his mouth to talk but Mav beat him to it " Yes I know they were abused children but that doesn't mean I need to deal with his antics!" "You have antics too Mav, that's why he said it" said Goose "But that's how you fly, that's why I love to be your RIO man" added Nick with big goofy smile on his face. Pete just smirked "That's the only thing?". Goose mirrored his pilot's expression "No, that's just one"

They go and climb into their jets as well. The training that day went quite well. Ice didn't want to shoot Maverick's plane down and Mav kept his moves and his nice words towards his wingman on a minimum.

When they came down from the sky, they went to the changing rooms, showered, changed and left. Neither of them wanted to see the other for more time then they already needed to. At night they went to the O club to relax a little after the long day. At the moment they stepped in the place, they both recognised someone. Goose simply said "No fucking way" and he rushed to the bar where you were sitting with your drink in hand. When he reached you, he just repeated himself "No.....fucking.....way.....Dragon....how?..when?" You twirled in your seat at the sound of the familiar sound of his voice. As soon as you were face to face he embraced you and gave you the tightest hug ever, tho it wasn't suffocating, it was comforting as always. When you let each other go Mav inmediately did the same as Goose, resulting in you laughing whole heartedly when you started to feel dizzy from the lack of oxygen. "Well I be damned" said Mav. You just smiled at them " You may be if you are lucky Mitchell, how many did I miss?". Goose just cackled at your joke about Mav's flings. "Ouch Dragon, non, you know people can change". The three of you tried to contain your laughter but you gave up after 3 seconds and just bursted out laughing. "Oh my god, yes people may change but not you Pete, never you". They sat down next to you and you started talking, making up for lost time.

While you were having fun with your two best friends, a certain handsome, tall and serious pilot was observing you from afar. You seemed to be happy with his rivals. Judging by the hugs, you are pretty close with them. After some time the boys excuse themselves to freet their fellow aviators and as you know Maverick, to find himself a fun night. As soon as they were out of eye-sight, Ice made his way to you. There was something in you that he couldn't brush off like with any other woman. He couldn't even look away.

You wanted to ask for another drink but someone was faster. "I'd like anything she asks for and a vodka-soda". You looked towards the sorce of the voice and saw him. You knew him, everybody did, you even went through his papers. The famous Tom "Iceman" Kazansky. "Can i sit down next to you?" he asked. "Sure, make yourself comfortable" you gave him a smile which he reciprocated. He has a nice smile, it fit's him and what's more, it's geniuen. "Tom Kazansky, but my colleagues call me Iceman, nice to meet you!" He was so soft spoken, confident but not cocky. You knew about his reputation but now, this wasn't Iceman the number one pilot, he was Tom, who was a number one pilot and wanted to get to know you for real. "I'm Rachel, nice to meet you too Tom". You smiled at him again and saw the glint in his eyes, he was really interested, you must be special then."I don't see you here often, are you new her or you just haven't been in the O before?". He watched your every move, he was reading you. "I got a new job here so o just moved." "And how are you liking it so far?" "I like it, two of my friends are here as well so I'm mot complaining" you grinned at the thought of your two chaoticly goofy boys and you saw that your reaction didn't go unnoticed by the man next to you. You talked a bit more but then you started to feel the effects of the moving and packing.

"It was amazing talking to you Tom but I have to go unfortunately, I have am early morning tomorrow". You get up and wait for him to get up too. "Will I be seeing more of you here? Or....even during days, weekends maybe?". He said whaaaattt??? THE Tom Kazansky is asking you out on a dateee??? Damn you must have been a saint in your previous life. You already know the answer was yes (you will be working together and this man is a dream so DUH) but you want to make him work, You want to make him swear a little. You do like you are thinking hard "Hmm.... I don’t knowww Tom.....let me think about it okay?" His face fell a little but he didn't give up" Alright, but can I get you number at least? That way you'll be able to q or move. You were it, yes, he knew, you were special.

The next morning, you woke up earlier than you planned to tho at least you head more time to get ready now. Afterall, this was your first day at Top Gun, you needed to look your best! You got ready, drank your morning coffee, got into your car and drove to the base. You were so giddy and excited, you dreamt of this so much, and now, you are here with your two best friends and Tom freaking Kazansky. After some tie, you find the “class room”, you sit down in the front row and wait. You got here pretty early but soon aviators start to wander in the class and sitting down while fooling around and talking. Nobody notices you but you are perfectly fine with that. In no time, all the seats are filled and the class starts.

After class, the trainings start out, you are after Ice and Mav…..but….there is one thing that is weird…..you are going up, alone, and your opponents are Viper and Jester. This is literally impossible, you are starting to panic a lot. They said they want to know what you are capable of and that everyone went through this but you are just hella scared. Anyways, the boys finish their flight and you go out after they safely parked. Goose and Mav notice you and after getting out of the jet, they run to you. “Are you okay?” asks Goose is a worried voice. “No…not at all, but I have to do this…so…here goes nothing”. Mav gives your shoulders a squeeze “You can do it, I now how you fly, Goose does too! Trust us, You’ll rock this!”. After the little tad talk, they leave you. While you are checking your jet, you don’t realise that someone is watching you, It’s Ice! He recognised you and he just doesn’t believe his eye…no…that can’t be…or can it? He could have sworn he can’t love you any more but there were you proving him wrong by making his heart flutter even more and a billion butterlies fly in his stomach. The big, famous and Ice Cold Tom Kazansky is soft and a fluffy little buny for you and only you, and you don’t even know about it.

You climb I your jet and inhale. “huh, okay, Let’s turn and burn baby!”. You go up, at first you are okay, you pay attention to your surroundings and you spot Jester, you go after him immediately. You chase him, stay on his tail pretty well which is rewarded by him saying “damn you kid, you are good”. Suddenly Viper appears behind you “Oh shit, Hell no you won’t get me”. You break right then left, twice he almost gets you but you can escape. You take a breath and concentrate “alright, you don’t play nice? Well then I won’t either!” You go look for them, you find Viper now. You start like in your previous attempt but now you aren’t going down, you are sticked to him. You pull quite some stunts, especially when Jester reappears as well. You are a worthy opponent to them, all three of you know that at this point. You are a very good pilot, you pull as dangerous moves as Maverick but you can make them somehow more efficient and this way you have more control over everything. You pull the split S, dodge, break away, twirl, you even go inverted and flip the birdie to Viper before you slam on the brakes and shoot him down. In some minutes you take Jester down as well. They both proudly congratulate you and leave. You do a little victory dancey dance and head back. “ Hello, this is Dragon requesting a fly-bye”. “Negative Dragon, the platform is full” From far you can see that there are like 4 more people in the tower then there should be and then it clicks… Ice, Slider, Goose and Mav are there too. Well this is going to be fun. You buzz the tower, the boys are looking at you with amazement and love (we know who that one referes to). You buzz the tower in a way that you are sideways with the jet this way you can give them the birdie too. Goose and Mav cheer for you while everyone who works in the tower is grumbling and pouting. Ice has ever been more in love and he knows it too. The boys rush down to you and you meet halfway. Goose and Mav hugs you and tosses you in the air. “You did t, that was incredible!!!!” “I see you as dangerous as me huh?”. While you talk to them, Ice and Slider are a little farther not to bother you. When your friends leave, Tom and his RIO come to you as well to congratulate. “You are really talented, that was amazing up there” sais Slider while grinning at you. “Why thank you Slider, you were amazing as always!”. He leaves after a little chit chat and you are alone with Mr. Kazansky now. “Could have warned me you were the best pilot who will take my place, you know!” “Well that wouldn’t have been this much fun then, would it now Mr. Ice cold, No mistakes” you smirk at him. “ But really tho, you were amazing, when we did it, everyone failed” he just looks at you with such loving eyes, with so much adoration, amazement. He even looks proud. You smile at him “yes”. Now he looks confused a bit but then he remembers and he literally glows.” Wait….you mean” “Yes in I will go on a date with you, Tom “Iceman” Kazansky”. He grins at you and literally scoops you up into his arms “Well then let’s go Mrs. Rachel “Danger” Kazansky”. This feeling….he feels it too, you know it, you can see it, you can feel it. He loves you as much as you love him. You are it for each other, you know…but nobody chases you, no need to rush thing right?

“And this is how daddy and I met for the first time”. Your daughter looked at you with amusement, excitemen and so much interest. She asked you to tell her the story where you met with Ice. It was her favourite, she asked for it very night. “But now, it’s bedtime, you ned a looooot of rest if you want to go with daddy to the base tomorrow!”. “Alright mommy, will you come with us?”. You think about it and simply say “Of course my little Snowflake”. You kiss her on the head and leave her room. I mean you would leave the room if you wouldn’t bump into an eavesdropping Iceman. “Well hello Mr. Kazansky…what are you doing here????”. He just smiles, hugs your waist and and kisses you on the head. “Nothig, just watching my two precious girls, Mrs. Kazansky”. You two just grin at each other. “Alright, let’s go to sleep, we’ll have an early morning tomorrow”. Both of you go and cuddle up in bed and go to sleep, dreaming about your first encounter.
