Hazel flushes softly. "Are you sure it's ok for me to be here? I don't want to overstep anything or- or be rude or anything.” She whispers, twisting the fabric of her shirt in between her fingers looking nervous. Hazel looks down at the floor, rubbing her foot against the plush carpet, her voice coming out wobbly as she rubs her arm nervously.

You shake your head and chuckle, taking the girl’s hand and leading the girl into your bed with an ‘omph’. “Don’t act so shy. We’re cuddling. people cuddle all the time.” You mumble tiredly. “Friends can cuddle… friends cuddle… all the time…” you yawn, rubbing your eyes.

Hazel pauses before she looks up at you. “What if… we’re not friends?” Hazel whispers and you look down, meeting her eyes. “What do you mean? Like best friends?” you frown and she shakes her head. “More.” She whispers, looking down. “like… lovers?” You mumble and Hazel looks back up, meeting your eyes. 

“I think I really like you.”

Lester grins nervously, picking his nails on the video call. you reach up and pull the covers over your body. “You’re not going to sleep?” You whispered and Lester chuckled, shaking his head. “Afraid not, sunbeam. Meg’s asleep and it’s time for me to stay watch. So I’ll be up for a bit.” he shrugs and you yawn. 

“Then why did you call so late at night?” you whisper, bringing the blankets close to your body. “I mean… just for me?” Lester merely chuckled and shook his head. “No… I knew you would be awake. and I need someone to help me stay up.” Lester pulled his legs close to his chest and yawned. you rubbed your eyes and shivered. “You’re tired huh?” he chuckled quietly, and you scoffed. “You started this… and you’re the one yawning and making me sleepy.” You mumble, closing your eyes. 

Lester hummed, rubbing his eyes slowly. “Should I hang up?” he mumbled, shifting the phone away so Meg couldn’t hear the conversation and sleep in peace. You shook your head and smiled. “No no… it’s ok… stay…” you mumbled, voice slow and tired as you slow drifted off.

Lester sighed, watching you sleep quietly. His heart fluttered and his cheeks flushed.

“You’ll never know this, and I hope you never find this out… but I really like you.”
