Endless Eight is effective television because it drives the viewer insane congruently with the characters and with Nagato specifically. I’m not talking about boredom here I’m talking about trying to read into the animation choices

#kelsey liveblogs haruhi suzumiya #so far: the film features a female love interest whispering into the ear of the male love interest just as Koizumi suggests Kyon do #Haruhi is clearly projecting herself into the film because she wants Kyon to hit on her. but that’s not the time loop key #it’s just fauxshadowing. the airplane motif is everywhere including on Mikuru’s shirt in one loop #the anime introduction of the kyon-haruhi-koizumi love triangle is done well but is hard to read in conjunction #with this arc’s focus on the kyon-koizumi dialogue that dominates the later novels. rather than kyon being upset at the idea of itsu/haru #it reads more as a conflict over not knowing how to handle koizumi #last: the opening scene of ‘I root for the losing team’ + the fact that koizumi is the losing team.#I Am Just Saying
