Know what? Your girl is finally going to prioritize this one over..some of the others. Because I don’t want to keep that lovely Anon that sent to me waiting any longer! I really did love how this turned out, and I hope you do as well! If you wanna see how the ending turns out, just send a request!
Red lit skies, along with grey clouds spread across the boomed city. Remnants of despair ran ramped along but amongst this, there were some survivors. Filled with hope, beaten down, but they still didn’t give up. Two of those survivors, Teruya and Tsurugi were sent to go and voyage for supplies. Reason being that they were running low, and they needed more food and medical items. Luckily, they had found them, but Teruya had tripped falling hard onto his knee. Injuring both it and his ankle, but that was the least of those worries. Teruya had drawn the attention of a certain remnant. Tsurugi crouched down so that he Teruya could get on. In which he does, making sure he had a grip on the bag of items and thus began the chase...
“Tsurugi! He’s gaining on us!” Teruya called, as he clung to his back with a tight grip. Fear filled within his eyes as he looked over the shoulders then looked back ahead. “I know, but we can’t lead him back to the others!” He exclaimed in response. Tsurugi adjusting his grip onto Teruya, being that the small merchant had sprung his ankle, so the police officer had put the other on his back. Teruya had accidentally drowned Mitsuhiro’s attention by when he first fell, crying out in pain.
“Tsurugi, Teruya, oh how I and the others miss you so much!” Mitsuhiro called, picking up his pace behind the two runnings. That only made Teruya tighten his grip, looking around for some sort of way they could escape. “Tsurugi, I see something! That building! There’s an opening we could hide inside!” Tsurugi turned his head into that direction. “Alright, hold on!” He exclaimed, quickly turning and did a quick beeline to head towards the crumbling building.
“Where are you two going? Come bacccck!” Mitsuhiro called, following behind him. It was a small chase, Tsurugi making sure to have a tight grip on Teruya as he ran into the dark building, running and grabbing the first door handle and hid in the room closing the door behind him. Before gently placing Teruya onto the ground and turned to look at the merchant. “How’s your ankle..?” He asked softly, crouching down to look at it more closely. It could be noted that Tsurugi’s eyes flowed faintly in the dark. “I..It hurts to move it, but I’ll be okay..”
Tsurugi let out a soft sigh, thankfully wasn’t a major injury thank goodness. The police officer went to speak once more, but he stopped hearing several footsteps outside of the door. Quickly, covering Teruya’s mouth. The taller male gently picked up the smaller and moved back. “How did you lose them! You had one job, Mitch!” A certain cheerleader claimed, with a slight thump. It could only be identified as a punch? “Hey! It’s isn’t my fault, if you had set the trap properly, it wouldn’t have been his ankle that was sprained!” Mitch replied angrily.
“For losing them, you know he’s going to take your leg!” The cheerleader responded. “Are you serious?! He can’t really be doing that!” His expression was filled with fear. “He made the rules very clear, Mitch.” Their voices slowly started to fade as they continued to walk away. Where’s Teruya and Tsurugi had waited for a bit longer, before slowly opening the door with a soft creek and looked outside of the door glancing around. “I don’t see them anymore, let’s get going..” Tsurugi spoke softly, turning around and then over and gently picked him up.
And just like that, the two were off again..this time, much warier looking for any traps or remnants. It didn’t take long for both of them to reach the abandoned warehouse where they were staying. It was run down, but it only worked to their favor. It having the appearance of a building that just might collapse at any minute most if not all wouldn’t approach it. But that’s where or current survivors were staying as a temporary base of sorts.
Teruya reaching out and opening the door to greeted with a few smiles. “You’re back! How did the run go?” Kiyoka asked, with a soft smile on her face before taking notice of the carrying. “Huh? What happened, to you Ruya?” She asked, before looking at the merchant with a worried expression. “I..I tripped, on a trap that Kizuna set for us and hurt my ankle..” Kiyoka tensed for a moment, before smiling weakly. “I’ll go get the doc, okay? You be sure to take it easy, it’s good to see both of you back safely.” Patting Tsurugi on his shoulder, she turned and started to walk off to get Kanata. But not before gently taking the bag of items from Teruya to put them away.
“Ruya! You’re back! Woah, what happened?!” Exclaimed Haruhiko, as he dashed up towards the two with widened eyes. So, Teruya had to fully explain what happened during their voyage for supplies. “..At least, you’re okay...but who’s that he? Maybe, Yuki?” Haruhiko questioned, with a confused expression before shaking his head. “Anyway, Kiyoka’s been helping me with rebuilding one of my special planes so we can get going! It only needs a little bit more work done, and then we can leave this place!” He said proudly grinning from ear to ear. “I can’t wait to see it, Haru!” Teruya replied joyfully. It oughta be amazin!” Haruhiko grinned with in agreement. “You betcha! But I feel like I’m forgetting-Haruhiko, Mikako said she’s found some more supplies for your plane.” Interrupting the two, was a familiar voice softened from the usual harshness.
“Rei..!” Teruya smiled, seeing the ultimate professor. “I overheard what you told, the pilot, I’m glad that your voyage was a success. But I’m your wounds, Teruya you must get some rest. Ah, Tsurugi I also wanted to let you know that I believe I’ve located the location on where the remnants are hiding.” Pushing up her glasses above the bridge of her nose. “Are you serious? Then we better get goin to save them now!” Fist pumping the air, Teruya’s eyes were filled with determination. “You can’t go in this state, Teruya; you can hardly stand on your own much less face the others.” Tsurugi scolded, making the merchant cross his arms with a small pout lightly grumbling underneath his breath. “As I was saying, I believe that I have, whenever Teruya had recovered, I’ll send the both of you and..Kiyoka.” Teruya’s expression soon softened and then nodded. “Ayame, Utsuro, Kakeru, Satsuki, Kizuna, Akane, Yamato, and Kinji..we’re going to save em all!” Slowly but surely, the others come out with small smiles on their faces. “Things will go back to the way it uses to be, I swear it!” Vowed Haruhiko with glee. “I’ll..do my best to support and help you all..” Mumbled Mikako, Kiyoka swinging her arm around Mikako with a bright expression. “We’re gonna save our friends!” Katana shook her head, softly chuckling but nodded her head in agreement. “I’ll provide medical support if the time is needed.” There was a brief surprised expression on Rei’s face but then he returned to her normal expression. “Then it’s settled when Teruya’s knee and ankle heals. We’ll set out at midnight, they'll never see it coming..”
