The amazing @wentasch recently drew some impressive pieces for our interpretation of Harima Clan (based on @sleepwalkersqueen’s “Fear Of You”) featuring OC’s of all three of us, and so I decided to edit them ^^

It was an honor to help
*salutes and moonwalks backwards*
Have some scary Harima man action
Tumblr media
The character is my Oc “Hone” from FoY Universe by @sleepwalkersqueen (Fear of You on Ao3)
I gotta say I do baby Hone xD
He’s terrifying but I do not see him as the most manipulative of the highest ranks.
Just a little anger and self worth issues🤏 The newest to the bunch too.
Alsooo I talked about his fighting style with @takami-flock a little (Thank you again) and I believe he’s fast and brutal yet his stamina is his weakness in most fights.
(His outfit is also getting a redesign soon because Harima wants more white☝️)

The cope:
Next chapter switches back to Geten and Mr. Compress. It's time for Compress to share his story, so of course he talks about his great-great-grandfather, the vigilante thief, Harima.
He explains that Harima came from that very first generation of children born with quirks, when everyone was doing whatever they can to survive, so it was the perfect environment for Harima to hone his skills and his quirk, though he still only ever stole out of necessity. When they put the Hero System into place, when things were calming down, Harima was happy to settle down. Find a normal job, get married, have a family.
But after a few years, it was clear that the Hero System didn't actually stop all the chaos. It just took a different form. Some of the heroes began to unofficially carve out territories, and essentially made people pay them for protection. People who couldn't pay didn't get helped, so poor neighborhoods were simply abandoned. When they turned to crime to survive, they get branded as criminals. That was when Harima started to steal again, this time from corrupted Heroes to give to those poor neighborhoods. He didn't hate the idea of heroes, but he thought reform was necessary, and so he dedicated the rest of his life to that.
Since then, things have changed, but not too much. Money's still a factor to Hero work, but now also has fame added to the equation. Villains are still often people trying to survive in a world that's hard for them to live in. It's clear Harima's dream of reformation was still needed. So his legacy lives on in his descendants, who all try to expose injustice in their own way.
Compress says that he's actually the odd one out in his family, the only one who went and became a straight-up Villain. It felt fitting that one of them should go back to their villainous root, but in general, the family is dispersed into all walks of life. But at the very beginning, he started out as a magician. He failed to make a career out of it; still, learning magic taught him lots of important things.
See, magic is all about misdirection. For instance, drawing attention to one thing so they fail to notice another. The best time to do so is when everyone has their guard down, because of some spectacle... celebrating too hard to pay attention to little things, like a coworker who has walked away, or a missing key...
AND WE GET PANELS. Of a paramedic moving Dabi into an ambulance, but driving away alone. One of the reporters in the helicopter carrying Toga toward a different direction than the rest of the crew rushing Ochako into the hospital. A lone nurse appearing in the hospital basement, approaching Spinner.
And finally, the door to Compress's cell unlocks, opening to reveal a single police officer. Compress sighs, saying that if she (the police officer) is here, then the Heroes have won. Guess they have to keep chasing after the dream... So he ask if his cousin can also unlock the other cells. One of them holds a doctor, who probably will be very needed...

Your post about hitting Stain with the DfO stick and it resulting in AfO suffering reminds me of an idea I had for hitting Compress with the DfO stick; Basically, AfO makes the mistake of informing a young Sako about his dual heritage as son of the Demon King of Villains (AfO himself, Obviously) and as the great-great-grandson of Oji Harima, which results in him aspiring to be the “Demon Prince of Thieves.” This wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t result in Sako interpreting being vaulted as “I support your dream fully, here’s an escape room as a challenge to overcome for the purpose of training your skills.”
Sako: of course I'm meant to become a great villain thief, if I wasn't, why would my father tell me all those stories about my family lineage and encourage me to hone those skills?
AfO: noooo I told you about that so you would think villains are cool and sit quietly in the vault safe like my little brother never would

With everything going on I keep forgetting about Oji Harima, the Peerless Thief who is compared to AFO and Destro. How is he even going to top whats going on right now? What if he is the one who will actually steal OFA? During the battle he just appears and "yoinks" OFA then proceeds to take off while being chased by everyone as Yakety Sax plays. I have a feeling that his quirk is going to be stealth base. It would be interesting to see a major villain with a non-combat or "strong" quirk.
Oji Harima is actually Anyone!Izuku. Pass it on.
Do not challenge Hori into showing how someone can be compared to AFO and Destro because this will end in tears and with people cursing your name. And yes, I also think he has a non combat quirk but honed to perfection.

@orderbourne sent:  ❌ is there something your muse struggles with that they might never overcome? what is it? why do they have so much trouble with it? (Harima)
Tumblr media
Harima is never going to become the peaceful pacifist he thinks he needs to be. His instincts and short fuse are going to be there to stay and even if he isn’t seeking out fights trying to turn them down doesn’t always work well given how easily he can be taunted into doing so. And outside of violence he still has a sharp tongue and quick retorts, so-- that said, he can add the empathy he needs to become an overall better person. I believe he’ll be fine with those added qualities existing alongside his aggressive tendencies. Just hone it for good and all of that.

Just another pretty boy to join our never-ending group of Harima OC's
To the FoY enthusiasts. You remember when Shinyo asked Wolf who came to collect him? He talked about some of the most wanted men from the clan?
Hone and Okane.
Guess who hyperfixated on them yesterday and already designed them a little while giving them a little backstory?
Ye, me.
So meet Hone Harima.
Tumblr media
He’ll just be a side character in my fic in FoY. (FoY is by @sleepwalkersqueen )
Did I have to give him as much thought as I gave him? Maybe not. But it was fun✨
So let’s talk about him a little.
I’m still thinking about how his quirk will work. I thought about bone manipulation but not like Junto but rather that he can literally make his bones outgrow out his body. I imagine that he has made a sword out of his own bones which he holds every time because it’s literally connected to him.
What I’m sure of is that he will be able to wield this sword as fast as light itself. He’ll cut you down in less than a second. You won’t even see how he sheaths his sword when he cuts through your throat.
Also his coat shows you how much worth he sees in you. If he takes it off before fighting you or while fighting you he sees you as a worthy opponent.
He never really pulls it off.
Hone as a person himself is a pretty quiet guy (also thought about making him mute). He’s likes to be practical and efficient. He knows his worth and is maybe a bit arrogant about it. So there are times where he has a bit of an temper but not in front of Harima of course.
His backstory right now is that his family was some ancient sword fighter line that gave little Hone to Harima as a gift. Some years later that same family was mysteriously found murdered in their own home.
They had wronged Harima around that time.
I also like to think that this red hair Hone has was some kind of bad omen to the family so they gave him away. Well, this exact action was what doomed their family in the first place. Karma, I guess.
Like I said he’s pretty WIP still and many things can change but I like him. He slit his way in my heart.
I also have many thoughts for Okane too. But I haven’t had the time to draw him.
@sleepwalkersqueen I do not know if you had any ideas for Hone or Okane so if you had I’ll just slap another name on them. I hope this is alright with you
Also huge thank you for @takami-flock who helped me form my train of thoughts into understandable words ✨

Listening to your thoughts on Harima Clan is always a treat Wen
Imma ramble a little more about the highest ranks in the Harima clan.
I imagine that even though they have the biggest advantage and respect of the whole clan they also have the biggest stress on themselves to deliver.
Harima is a greedy and not easy to please man. You do what is asked of you? He’ll get bored of you. You do it faster than your normal speed? He won’t bother you at first. You do it faster and bring more than is asked of you he’s pleased.
So everybody in the clan is always working to please Harima’s never ending dissatisfaction and greed. Yet especially the highest ranks that Harima himself always has his eyes on are watched the most.
Saying this I also think that that the highest ranks missions are the most important and difficult to do yet that can also mean that in between these missions they can enjoy the fruits of being on top.
I image they have a very unhealthy circle of overworking themselves while nearly collapsing to having nothing to do between their missions.
Given Harima’s nature the highest ranks also are always on each other’s throat.
Of course, Harima pushes this family ideology on his clan yet at the end of the day he’s power hungry and nearly wants this rivalry to happen. (It amuses him sometimes even)
Though he never wants to see this badmouthing in front of him or the public because it wouldn’t be a good look for his clan and his name.
So there is a lot of fake kindness and tension between the high ranks. Especially the ones that specialize on overlapping topics.
Then again. There are always exceptions in life.
Tumblr media
I imagine that Okane and Hone genuinely get along which is a rare sight to see in the clan.
They see each other as brothers and genuinely call each other that. Even if Hone sometimes sees Okane as an annoying older brother who always wants tos stuff with you (he doesn’t decline though xD)
This relationship works because there is no real rivalry between them. Okane is specialized in breaking the best deals for Harima while Hone is known to end whoever Harima wants to see gone. Both also have no real interest in the others jobs.
Yet their relation is anywhere near strong. They make fun of each other, are amused at rumors of each other and at the end of the day would kill each other if Harima’s ordered them to do so.
But even though on an event you would only find them standing together and it’s rumored that these two hide in one of their rooms to get drunk together (something I don’t see Highest ranks do too often because it makes you vurneable). They don’t want advantages from each other but only are there to enjoy each other’s company.
I think that the highest ranks are pretty lonely people because of their status they’re nearly untouchable to everybody lower then them and the one that share their untouchability are doomed to compete against them.
That’s it for now.
The universe and clan is by @sleepwalkersqueen’s fanfic Fear of You on Ao3.
Alsooo huge thank you and credits to @takami-flock for always listening to me and contributing to the clans dynamics and in general how the clan works.
