Hi,
I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.
I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.
I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

1850-1899
This is part of a series in which I am posting clips of my larger project by decade as I finish them. For more about this project, or to ask me to include your doll or OC, check out my pinned post.
Previous posts:
17th century
1700-1739
1740-1769
1770-1799
1800-1849
The OCs in this post that are mine are Charlotte and Jane, Rachel and Abigail, and Hannah and Delia (they're in pairs because I did the Best Friends series based on @americangirlstar's suggestions, and in the process created a Best Friend for each of my own characters). Héloise and Aoife belong to @autistickirstenlarson, Violette belongs to @getintothesun, and Charlotte belongs to @gardner-n-pardner.
While putting together previous installations I became aware that I have the birth dates wrong for several of the canon characters. I'm planning a redo for the canon character set, eventually, so please do let me know if I'm wrong about anyone. I might already know, but since I have pretty severe dyscalculia as well as ADHD it's not bad to have the info available in multiple places.
I also feel that I should repeat the statement I made before that I had a hard time finding accurate, non-exoticizing references for Kaya, Speaking Rain, and Singing Bird's wardrobes without embarking on a level of research way beyond the scope of this project. If someone is reading this who has familiarity with and access to visual references for 19th century Nimiipuu, Salish, and Dakota/Lakota clothing, and the time and patience to help me understand them, I would be very interested in learning.
1850s
Héloise Cormier: 96-99
Kaya'aton'my: 95-99
Speaking Rain: 95-99
Felicity Merriman: 85-94
Elizabeth Cole: 85-94
Rachel Gabay: 70-79
Abigail Schorr: 70-79
Lydia Livingston: 51-60
Caroline Abbott: 49-58
Clara Montoya: 38-47
Josefina Montoya: 36-45
Hannah Kane: 26-35
Delia Freedman: 26-35
Violette Metoyer: 26-35
Aoife Callaghan: 14-23
Cecile Rey: 8-17
Marie-Grace Gardner: 8-17
Kirsten Larson: 6-15
Singing Bird: 6-15
Charlotte Devereux: 1-10
Addy Walker: 0-5
Sarah Moore: 0-5
Charlotte is a fun and interesting character: I made small edits to some of the base poses I use to accommodate her cane, and larger edits to others. I looked up some photos and videos of children with juvenile arthritis, which Charlotte has, to help get it right. Some of the outfits in Charlotte's collection were repeats, so I picked out a few more outfits from the same period that seem like they fit Charlotte's frilly, floral aesthetic. Meanwhile, this decade, Addy and Sarah are both born into slavery, Héloise, Kaya, and Speaking Rain say goodbye, Cecile and Marie-Grace begin wearing full-length, grown-up dresses, and Clara Montoya, ever sensible, tries out a Bloomer suit but finds that it doesn't make her work enough easier to offset the teasing and doesn't make any more of them.

Charlotte Devereux: 11-20
Addy Walker: 6-15
Sarah Moore: 6-15
He-Mei Hsieh: 0-4
Florence Coburn: 0-4
Lucy Morgan: 0-4
He-Mei is a placeholder name that probably isn't right for her character. It's a Mandarin name, and she should have a name in Cantonese. Unfortunately I just don't know enough to be able to pick one out without help, so if someone seeing this who speaks Cantonese has a great idea, I'd love to hear it. Ironically, although AG has never made either a Chinese or significantly Disabled Historical doll, He-Mei and Florence owe the most to existing AG characters out of all my OCs. Maybe it's their dedication to getting into trouble.
1870s
Rachel Gabay: 90-99
Abigail Schorr: 90-99
Lydia Livingston: 71-80
Caroline Abbott: 69-78
Clara Montoya: 58-67
Josefina Montoya: 56-65
Hannah Kane: 46-55
Delia Freedman: 46-55
Violette Metoyer: 46-55

He-Mei Hsieh: 5-14
Florence Coburn: 5-14
Lucy Morgan: 5-14
Gertrude Levy: 0-4
Mabel Kaplan: 0-4
Medha/Mahtab: 0-2
The First Bustle Era, with its big, poofy, drapey bustles, shrinks down into a tight, structured column shape. Florence's chair is based on historical examples: it has two large wheels that she can push in the front and one small wheel in the back. It's heavy and difficult for her to push as a kid, and when He-Mei pushes it she can't always see where they are going. I feel like Addy's school suit, in particular, translates well into these stiffer and more structured styles, and Caroline's Christmas dress isn't bad either. Another one that worked out well is Cécile's parlor outfit.
1880s
Lydia Livingston: 81-90
Caroline Abbott: 79-88
Clara Montoya: 68-77
Josefina Montoya: 66-75
Hannah Kane: 56-65
Delia Freedman: 56-65
Violette Metoyer: 56-65
Aoife Callaghan: 44-53
Cecile Rey: 38-47
Marie-Grace Gardner: 38-47
Kirsten Larson: 36-45
Singing Bird: 36-45
Charlotte Devereux: 31-40
Addy Walker: 26-35
Sarah Moore: 26-35
He-Mei Hsieh: 15-24
Florence Coburn: 15-24
Lucy Morgan: 15-24
Gertrude Levy: 5-14
Mabel Kaplan: 5-14
Medha/Mahtab: 3-12
Diya/Nasreen: 0-9
Harriet Shapiro: 0-4
Matilda Greene: 0-4
There's a lot still undecided about the sisters I originally called Diya and Medha but then considered renaming to Nasreen and Mahtab, depending on what kind of backstory would work best for them. Unfortunately, I know more about clothing history than I do about historical waves of immigration. I still think these characters have a good dynamic with each other and I love how their outfits turned out, but I probably won't be fleshing them out much unless I happen to learn a lot more about their potential backgrounds. For the time being, I'm leaving them in the project but I'm focusing more on characters I don't need to do a lot of original research to develop.
The Second Bustle Era is far more stiff and structured than the first, with heavier fabrics and narrower lines. Even the older girls are wearing bustles, while the younger girls often have large bows at the backs of their dresses in imitation of the bustled silhouette. This project first saw a bustled style in the 1680s, they were most famous in the 1880s, and even today we see them now and then on bridal or red carpet gowns.
1890s
Lydia Livingston: 91-99
Caroline Abbott: 89-98
Clara Montoya: 78-87
Josefina Montoya: 76-85

Delia Freedman: 66-75
Violette Metoyer: 66-75
Aoife Callaghan: 54-63

Medha/Mahtab: 13-22
Diya/Nasreen: 10-19
Harriet Shapiro: 5-14
Matilda Greene: 5-14
Samantha Parkington: 0-4
Nellie O'Malley: 0-4
The final decade of the 19th century has us saying goodbye to Caroline and Lydia, and hello to Samantha and Nellie. Although it's less dramatic than the first and second bustle eras or even the period between them, this period is surprisingly fun to draw. And it's nice to be ending the century with their wintery formalwear. Happy new year!
As always, to get your historical doll or OC included in this project, HERE'S THE LINK. Obviously if your doll is from earlier than the 20th century they'll have to wait for the next round of drawings, but you're welcome to put them in the form and I'll include them in the next round, which will otherwise focus on the siblings of canon characters.

The other woman - Neville Frank Longbottom (Chapter three)
“With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.”
• Three hours later •
"Mr. Frank Longbottom, from the beginning, again!"
No matter how many times Dumbledore told Neville what to say, Neville kept on stuttering, clearing his throat once in a while, always saying the wrong words, not staying still as his hands shake as they were ice cold, his chest moving forward and backward as he tries to control his breathing,
" 'With this hand, I will lift your sorrows, your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine, with this candle, I will light your way in darkness, with this ring, I ask you, to be mine," Dumbledore repeated the words to Neville, Neville gripping his fist on the hold of the candle, nodding his head, mumbling the words as he repeats on what Dumbledore said, "Let's try this, again," Dumbledore stated,
Neville immediately nods, clearing his throat, "yes, yes sir, with this candle-" Neville raise his unburn candle to make connect with the small flame on the front of the desk, where Dumbledore is standing behind, he leans forward as the small string on the candle touches the lit one, Neville waited for a second as he raised it again, the small fire not touching his string, Neville gulped nervously as he speaks his line again, "this candle-" again the candle would not light, the small flame not appearing, "this-this candle-"
He tiled his head to the side as he could hear his uncle, mumbling, to his gran, "Shall I get up there and do it for him," his uncle whisper to Neville's gran, shaking her head as she waves her small fan, Neville took a peek to the (Abbott's/ Lovegood's/ Y/l's) as they were waiting impatient, feeling eager for it to be over, with their smug faces, Dumbledore cleared his throat, making the young man, to face him, Dumbledore nods his head, making Neville faced the lit candle on his fist, sighing in relived he stood up straight, taking a long deep breath, he began to speak, "With this candle," Neville nervously chuckle which made the small puff of air come out of his mouth, making the small flame from his candle faded, the smoke was left, Dumbledore ignore the candle as hours already pass by, "Continue!"
The bell rang from the home of the (Abbott's/ Lovegood's/ Y/l's) making (Hannah/Luna/Y/n) father, speak to the butler, "Get the door,"
"Let's just pick it up at the candle bit," Dumbledore stated as Neville nods his head, biting his bottom lip as his nerves begin to come back,
The butler of the home came back as he handed a card to Mr. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l). The butler stated the person who ring the bell, " a Lord Marvolo, sir," The person who was introduce made his way to Mr. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) as he bows his head, "I supposed I'm a day early for the ceremony, would it be alright if I stay, and watch," Mr. and Mrs. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) both stared at each other as they nod their head, Mrs. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) snaps her fingers as she calls for the butler to bring a chair for Lord Marvolo.
"Carry on," spoke Lord Marvolo, both Neville and (Hannah/Luna/Y/n) looked away as Dumbledore, again, said "Let's try it again," Dumbledore faced Neville as he speaks, "Shall we, Mr. Frank Longbottom,"
(Hannah/Luna/Y/n) lift up her lit candle make connect with Neville's, as she smiled gently to herself, as she sees Neville nods his head, "Yes, yes sir, certainly,"
Dumbledore cleared his throat, "Right,"
Neville nods his head, "Right," raising his left hand, which make him scowl on himself as his candle was on the wrong hand, making the candle go to his right hand, making the left hand raised up. "With this-this-"
"Hand!" Dumbledore reminded Neville,
"With his hand," Neville lay his hand as (Hannah/Luna/Y/n) raised her hand to hold his, both taking three steps, which made Neville hit himself on the desk, almost tripping, "I-With-Ow!"
"Three steps, my boy! three! Can you not count! Do you not wish to be married, Mr. Frank Longbottom!" Dumbledore tried to say calmly but his patience was slipping away by a second, only saying in angry,
Neville shook his head on defense, "No! No,"
(Hannah/Luna/Y/n) let out a soft gasp, feeling a bit hurt, "You do not?" she said with a hurt tone,
"No! I meant, no, I do not, not wish to be married, that is, I want very much to-" Neville stated,
"Pay attention! Have you even remembered to bring, the ring?" Dumbledore asked the boy as Neville nods his head, checking the pockets of his pants, as well as the small pockets of his robes, "The ring, yes, of course," Neville reaches for the ring from the back of his pocket, gripping the ring his mother used to wear around her finger, he raised the ring but due to his sweaty hands, the ring slipped, the ring going to the ground, small gasps around the room,
"Dropping the ring! oh no, he's dropped the ring," Mr. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) yells,
"This boy doesn't want to get married! How disgraceful!" Mrs. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) wails,
Neville immediately goes to the floor as he searches for the ring, which unfortunately went under the dress of his future mother-in-law's long skirt, with the ring on the palm of his head, not knowing that his other hand is free, not holding the lit candle, making the room smell of something burning, Neville tries to find the burn smell which he looks down to see his future mother-in-law's dress being on fire, Mr. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) got up from his seat, as he pushed Neville to the side, stomping the fire from his wife's skirt, "Out of the way, you idiot!" he yelled at Neville as he heard his Gran and Uncle got up from their seat, chaos going around, people yelling out, "There's a woman on fire! Help! Emergency!" (Hannah/Luna/Y/n) stood still as she sees people running around, trying to pull out the fire of her mother's dress, Neville's gran waving her fan, trying not to upset the woman, "I hope it doesn't stain," The older witch said nervously, but Mrs. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) filling with rage, take the fan out of the older witch's hand, yelling, "Stop fanning it, you fool!" her husband still stomping the ends of her dress, every person in the room running around, yelling, the room filled with cries, Dumbledore just stare at the chaos as he close the book on his hand, telling out in disappointed groan, Neville's Gran tapped on Neville's uncle saying, "Get a bucket, get a bucket!" Neville's uncle nods his head immediately, as he rushes out of the room,
Lord Marvolo already getting bored of the chaos, got up from his seat, with his cup on his hand, went up to the woman screaming in terror, he turned the cup to the side, letting his drink land on the fire, fading away, only smoke was left, Mrs. (Abbott/Lovegood/Y/l) sighed in relief, panting as she thanked the man, only him responding with a nod, Neville exhale as Dumbledore went up to him, yelling, getting everyone's attention to the older wizard,
"Enough! This wedding cannot take place until he is properly prepared." Neville gulped at every person staring at him, including (Hannah/Luna/Y/n) who looked down the moment his eyes made connect with hers,
"Young man, learn your vows," that was all Neville heard when he steps out of the room, his anxiety filling him up, barely able to control his breathing, silence was filled around the room, Lord Marvolo was the first to speak up, "Well, he's quite the catch, isn't he," staring at (Hannah/Luna/Y/n) who faced him as she feels his eyes on her, looking away as the door opened wide, only seeing Neville's uncle holding a bucket of water,
