This is adorable! I can see Baby Malleus finding the faces and sounds Lilia makes weird but enjoyable, especially since his baby brother loves it so much.

Summary: Lilia reads Baby Malleus and Silver a story.

Papa was doing those weird faces and voices again. It was rather strange when he would do this, but Malleus enjoyed these moments the most.

Papa would gather him in his arms, bring blankets, a book, and some snacks to enjoy by the fire.

Cuddling Papa and hearing the comforting inflection in his voice always lulled Malleus into the sweetest sleep.

Now that Silver joined their family, it was better than ever.

Cuddling next to his baby brother in the arms of their father brought a sense of serenity and pleasure to Malleus.

Silver would laugh along when Papa would make those funny faces and join with his high pitched squeals.

Silver would clap his hands and wave when Papa used his magic to bring figures alive from the pages of the book.

Malleus enjoyed these sounds of laughter and warmth, to the point that soft purrs would be released.

He loved most of all, when Silver would pull him close into a hug. When Papa would pull up the blankets around them, his arms protecting them.

In this embrace, Malleus had everything he wished for: a brother and father he loves with his entire being.

In such content Malleus falls asleep daily, cradled in the arms of his loved ones.

Summary: Baby Dragon Malleus fights Santa.

Papa was crazy. He said some strange man was going to come to their house and leave gifts.

Someone they didn’t know!

It was up to him to protect the hoard.

He really had to do everything around here, didn’t he?

Malleus didn’t understand why Papa didn’t find it weird, usually he was very protective.

…maybe Papa was getting old.

The thunk outside woke Malleus up.

No!

He didn’t mean to fall asleep!

He hurriedly looked to his side. His baby brother was asleep soundly. Malleus licked Silver’s cheek, smiling when his baby brother giggled before falling deeper into slumber.

But looking around, where was Papa? He would usually cuddle them both while sleeping. His warmth bringing peaceful dreams.

A warble of worry escaped Malleus.

What if Papa was in trouble?! What if Papa needed his help? Did Santa hurt him?

No, Silver needed to be protected first. Then, he can go help Papa.

It was too late. He had to defend Silver now.

Angry snarls started coming out of Malleus, fire building in his throat.

He would make the strange man pay for hurting his family.

“Ho~Ho- Ah! Hot! Hot! Malleus! It’s me! Stop!”

“Malleus, don’t be mad. I didn’t mean to scare you.”

Hmph.

Malleus continued playing with Silver, rolling the ball back and forth.

“I know you were trying to protect us.”

Malleus saw Silver look at him in worry before his imagine blurred from his tears.

“Oh Malleus,” Lilia picked up the crying dragon.

Lilia hummed a lullaby, running his fingers down his little dragon’s back.

“There~ There~ Thank you for protecting us. I’m so proud of you for being brave, my son.”

“Skee-”

“I know. Papa is sorry. Please forgive him?”

Malleus looked at his Papa, before butting his head lightly under Lilia’s chin.

Fine.

He’ll forgive him this once.

“Bababa!”

“Ow! Silver! Not you too!”

Malleus rumbles happily, didn’t mean Silver forgave him for making his big brother cry.

Lilia sighed contentedly as he watched his sons sleep.

The green bow on Malleus stood out against his dark scales and matched his green flames perfectly. Silver’s blue bow enhanced the beauty of his eyes and his silvery hair. Lilia, of course, had a deep red to match his own eyes and streaks in his hair.

Today was a fun day for all. The laughter and cheer had resounded within the walls.

As he placed each of his hands on his sons, Lilia felt a warmth engulf him as it always does around them.

His boys.

His sons.

His family.

How very loved he was and how very loved they were.

How you turn my world, my loves.

Furry of wings sounded in the room.

Quiet squeaks communicating with each other.

A blanket laid on top of father and sons.

A flash.

Tomorrow all three would wake to an angelic photo of the slumbering family.

A moment in time that would be cherished for many years to come.

With many more created right after.

In a home filled with endless affection and warmth.
