Understanding the Differences Between Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services
Dry cleaning and laundry services are essential for keeping your clothes clean and well-maintained. However, it can be confusing to understand the differences between the two services. In this blog, we will explain the differences between dry cleaning and laundry services and help you choose the right service for your needs.
Dry cleaning is a specialized cleaning process that uses chemical solvents to remove dirt and stains from clothes. It is an ideal solution for delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, and cashmere, which can be damaged by water and soap. Dry cleaning is also useful for removing tough stains such as grease, oil, and ink.
On the other hand, laundry services use water, detergent, and mechanical action to clean clothes. It is an excellent solution for everyday clothes such as cotton, linen, and polyester. Laundry services can be used to clean clothes, bedsheets, curtains, and other washable fabrics.
When choosing a quality laundry service, there are several factors to consider. Here are the top 5 tips for choosing a quality laundry service:
Quality of service: Look for a laundry service that provides high-quality service. Check for online reviews, customer feedback, and ratings to evaluate the quality of service.
Range of services: Choose a laundry service that offers a wide range of services, including laundry, dry cleaning, ironing, and more. This will ensure that all your laundry needs are met.
Pricing: Compare the prices of different laundry services to find the best value for your money. Look for a service that provides transparent pricing and no hidden charges.
Convenience: Choose a laundry service that offers convenient pickup and delivery options. This will save you time and hassle of dropping off and picking up your laundry.
Customer service: Look for a laundry service that provides excellent customer service. They should be responsive to your queries, provide regular updates, and address any concerns you may have.
At Hamlet Laundry, we are committed to providing high-quality laundry and dry cleaning services to our customers in London. why are so many "feminist" adaptations of things just the author inserting themself into a female character from the text and then just berating the other female characters for not standing up for themselves instead of acknowledging the cultural reasons they may have acted like that and directing that anger towards the men who are actually oppressing them
#and then when they do direct the anger at the men it's always just like. not based on their actual actions within the source material#but instead it's based off of modern feminist rhetoric that has nothing to do with the actual problems#needless to say i am disappointed in atwood's hamlet takes#is the worst thing she could find to complain about with hamlet is how he doesn't do his own laundry??#this was like. medieval! he wouldn't have done his laundry either way!!

Going to a carnival/fair &
With Ominis!
A/N - STELLA! This is great! I love writing Ominis, and I hope you like it bestie!
A Winner
Summary - You and Ominis take your daughter to the All Hallows Eve festival in Hogsmeade
Warnings - Nothing but cute domestic fluff :)
“Ah, this is wildly crowded, Ominis. You sure you want to go in?”
“I don’t see why not. Besides, Nora seems to want to check out the pumpkins. Don’t you, dear?”
Nora babbled in your hold, a sure sign she was agreeing with her father as you grinned and kissed her chubby cheek. The pair of you walked side by side through the covered bridge into the busy streets of the magical little town, banners of orange and yellow strung from building to building decorated with autumn leaves that were enchanted to fall constantly onto the cobbled stone walkways. The sweet scent of apple cider and pumpkin pasties was floating in the air like clouds, children running to and fro and weaving amongst the citizens and Hogwarts students attending the festival. A local band was playing in the grand areas to the right, playing a spooky melody as the enchanted bush shaped like a dragon was breathing smoke through its nostrils.
You were arm and arm with Omnis, who was using his wand as a guide and leaning against you as you led the way with Nora strapped to your chest in a swaddle. She was nearly 8 months old now, babbling and squawking all throughout the day and wishing to have her voice heard. She was a perfect mixture of her mother and father, though she inherited her father’s bright blond hair and light complexion. But she got her freckles and hazel eyes from you, which made you smile from ear to ear to see it every day when she woke up from her slumber or laughed at you tickling her. She was an inquisitive babe, something you knew she got from Omnis as well as his “judgmental” face. When she used the face for the first time, you had to laugh and hide your smile behind your hand.
You were thankful that your husband and Nora’s father could not see the look on his daughter’s face, but judging by the sound of your muffled laughter, he knew exactly what happened.
Now that she was no longer a small infant, her curiosity grew and grew over time. She would spend time outside with you on her quilt as you worked in the garden by your cottage when the weather was nice, her legs attempting to make her crawl over to a small cluster of flowers to the laundry line that hung her favorite blanket. You loved that she was inquisitive and curious, never one to be shy when meeting someone new. Especially with your old school friends, they were excited to meet your daughter and spoil her rotten.
Garrett teased in getting her some of his stash of invented candy, to which both yourself and Ominis delicately declined.
Hogsmeade was throwing a Halloween festival on All Hallow’s Eve, and invited all the hamlets near and far to come to the magical town and be part of the activities. You and Ominis were highly interested, mainly because Nora was big enough and it would get the pair of you out of the house. So with Nora strapped against you and a pocket full of Galleons to spend, both yourself and Omnis left your little home and headed over to Hogsmeade on the other side of Hogwarts.
The sun was high up in the air and the crisp of the wind sailed through, making the banners and flags flow freely while you both were drinking in the sights and sounds of the little town you both grew to love as students not so long ago.
“Ah, there’s the pumpkin patch! Let’s see if we can pick one out for Nora,” You said to Omnis, guiding him over to the left where the community garden was tucked away. Pumpkins of various sizes were sprawled about, about 6 others were there finding their own pumpkins to take home as enchanted watering cans were tending to the wildflowers and veggies growing in the back. Making your way up the path, you noticed Nora looking at some of the leaves that were dancing in the air above her, Nora cooing as her bright eyes went wide in view.
“Do that have any her size?” Ominis asked in curiosity as you stood amongst the pumpkins, “I hope we didn’t miss the good ones,”
“No there are still a few left,” you reassured him, “Some of these must have come from Hogwarts since they’re rather large and great in proportion. They make mine look rather dull, to be honest,”
“Come now, your pumpkins are perfect,” Ominis reassured you as he situated himself on a stone bench in the middle of the cluster of pumpkins that nestled amongst the growing weeds. You carefully took Nora out of her wrap, placing her gently in Ominis’s lap as he held her protectively. Her eyes watched you in amazement while you searched for the perfect pumpkin, screeching and babbling wildly at you as her father chuckled.
“Are you trying to tell your mother which one to pick, sweetheart? What a bossy young lady,” Ominis said in a snort as he leaned down to kiss the top of Nora’s ringlet hair that seemed to shin from the sun high above her.
“She inherited that from you, you know,” You commented as you grabbed a smaller pumpkin in your hands, feeling the texture and the eight within your palms. You grinned, walking back to kneel in front of Nora, who was watching you with unwavering attention.
“What do you think, my darling?” You asked her, seeing her eyes go from you to the pumpkin you placed from her legs. She grinned, slapping the surface of the pumpkin a few times before attempting to eat it.
“She’s a hard nut to crack, she got that from you,” Ominis joked in retaliation, making you glare at him as he chuckled. Nora in return giggled from hearing her father’s laugh as you took the pumpkin from her daughter to seek out another pumpkin to her liking.
“We should get a bigger one to carve together, it would look nice in our garden,” Ominis stated, though you snorted.
“Do you remember what happened last time you tried to carve a pumpkin?” You asked him, not being able to see him yet you knew he was flushed deep down, “Thankfully we both know enough charms to mend the wound before we would resort to heading to St. Mungos. Natty almost lost it when I told her, and we’l get laughed at if I have to haul you down to St. Mungo’s again,”
“I do wish to forget that night, even when it was amusing, to say the least,” Ominis joked as you grabbed another pumpkin, slightly bigger but it was perfectly round. You had to wonder why it wasn’t snatched up already, then again it was hiding behind the stone wall that was tucked in the back of the garden.
Snagging the pumpkin carefully, you made your way back to your husband and daughter, once again kneeling in front of her and seeing her tilt her head to the pumpkin. She then grinned widely, a dribble of drool on her chin as she giggled. You knew then that you found the right one just for her.
“I think we have a winner, dear,” You said to Ominis, Nora reaching out for the pumpkin earnestly.
After finding another pumpkin to carve and paying for the two, you placed enchantments of them to be taken back to your cottage with a “pop”, both pumpkins disappearing and reappearing in your home. Ominis wished to walk around a bit more to buy from some of the street vendors, grabbing a few potion supplies and gardening seeds that were on sale. You were glad you brought a bag to carry your new purchases, and the pair of you decided to grab something to eat for a late lunch before heading home for the evening.
Perched outside the small cafe with Nora strapped to your front again in her wrap and fast asleep, you and Ominis chatted about work and the upcoming get-together Poppy was planning at her grandmother’s home. With the cool crisp air coming through Hogsmeade and the sun slowly descending over the foothills behind you, you paused and looked at the ever glorious view of Hogwarts.
Seeing the castle right next to the lake, the stained glass windows that almost brought color no matter the time of day, brought back good and not-so-good memories. It felt like yesterday when you were a student walking within those walls, climbing those massive stairs, and making all of those friends that ended up staying your friends past graduation.
But you were mostly thankful for the man sitting across from you, for not just giving you a daughter and a simple life along that lakeside to chase away the demons that haunted you, but for loving you with all of him and with no abandon. Even after losing Sebastian and feeling lower than low, Ominis picked you up with both hands and made sure you would never fall again. You never felt that much love and friendship before until he came around.
“Darling?”
You blinked and looked back at Ominis, who was next to you in his chair, caressing his daughter’s blond hair as she slept peacefully against your chest. His fingers along her scalp, his light eyes in your direction as he looked a pinched concerned.
“You okay?” He asked calmly, making you smile and reach over to take his hand from the top of Nora’s head. You laced your fingers together, feeling the warmth of his skin on yours making you smile even bigger.
“More than okay,” You hummed in return. Ominis grinned from ear to ear, taking your joined hands over to delicately kiss the back of your hand. You were, in fact, more than okay. These past few years together face the rest of your life, you could not trade any part of it for anything else in the world.
The End.

Wish Granted 🌟👩🏾🎶 (Wish Reimagined)
Chapter 6: Welcome to Rosas (Part 2)
Chapter 5
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
"Don't be shy now." Magnifico insisted.
Flazino faked a laugh badly. "Whaaaat? No, no, no. They're nobody! I mean, they're obviously somebody, but they've been here before!" he stood in front of them to block the king's view.
Magnifico raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? I don't believe I've seen them around town before." He looked over Flazino's shoulder and noticed the girl in purple looked rather familiar to him.
"Oh yeah, yeah! They're from the far side of Rosas, you don't make a lot of trips there…" Flazino blurted on, making up this story as he went along.
As the apprentice continued, Star had sensed something was off about the king. He didn't seem to have a joyful vibe despite the smile on his face. And what was up with his staff?
The starboy's thoughts halted when he felt something tighten around his arm. He looked to his right and saw Asha's expression had changed. She wasn't happy to see the King at all. She looked as if she was hiding her fear, but Star could see it in her eyes. Asha was terrified of Magnifico.
She saw Flazino use a hand signal behind his back to tell them go, quickly.
"Star, we need to go. Right now." she whispered to him.
Star wanted to keep looking around town, but the fear in her eyes made him change his mind. "All right." He responded. For the first time, he was taking this seriously. He picked up Valentino, who was slightly shaking.
They quietly backed away, careful not to make a noise to alert the king.
"…So they were just passing by. They're probably gone by now!" Flazino raised his voice slightly in hopes the two of them had finally left.
The king's eyes looked up and the two leaving, his suspicions were confirmed.
"Ah, I see. What a shame. I'll have to meet them later on." Magnifico shook his head in pretend disappointment. "I came down see how some of my loyal subjects are doing. You know, really get to know everyone. Speaking of which, I have something in mind for you."
"Um…me, sir?" Flazino asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, I've realized that I've neglected my duties as your teacher. Its time that you had more…advanced training." he said with a smile as green fire emitted from his hand.
"Y-you're actually going to train me? I mean, advance my training?" The boy had been waiting for this moment for years, but…the Hamlet mattered more. "Sir, I don't know how to say this, but-" he started as he rubbed his arm.
"No need to thank me, Figaro!" Magnifico exclaimed as he put an arm around the teen and laughed.
"It's Flazino…" He muttered, but the king continued on like his apprentice hadn't even spoken.
"You can thank my darling wife Amaya for that once she returns! She caught on to that and insisted I take extra care of you for our next lesson!" the king explained as they headed back to the castle.
"Uh, sure. But can we make it a short lesson? I really have other duties to take care of." Flazino said as he threw blue powder behind his shoulder while the king wasn't looking. The smoke traveled from his hand and slithered on the ground like a snake and traveled through the crowd.

We end up going all the way back to the Hamlet, with the people already out doing their morning routines.
Sabino slept a little later than normal since the incident last night and needed the extra rest. Now that he felt refreshed, he took a deep breath, and was ready for a new day.
The old man hadn't seen Asha yet, but assumed she was already out finding inspiration for sketches. So he went out by himself. Sabino greets a few of the neighbors, one of which was leading some of the livestock to the nearby river.
Sabino waves to the man with a smile and continues towards the water well, but he over hears a conversation.
"I'm telling you, one of the squirrels said 'Good morning' to me!" A man told his wife who putting out the laundry. She rolled her eyes. "Next you'll be telling me a bear when asked for a pot of honey."
"THAT HAPPENED TOO!" the husband exclaimed.
Sabino hoped the guy wasn't going senile at such a young age, not even he heard something like that. He walked over to his usual spot at the well and noticed it felt different when he got there. He felt a hint of such joy from that spot, just like he did last night.
The camera shows beneath his feet there's a very faint glow from the leftover stardust. "What in the…?" He started, but was interrupted by Sakina's call.
"Sabino! Have you seen Asha? I've been looking for her all morning, but I haven't seen her. Valentino is missing too." Her voice had a slight panic in it.
The man grabbed her hand gently. "Now, now. Don't worry, I'm sure she's around here. Perhaps she went a little further in the forest than usual. You know how she tries to find new things here."
"Actually, she left here last night." A kid's voice chimed in.
The two of them looked around for the speaker, but no-one was near. "Down here!" The voice spoke again.
Sabino and Sakina looked down and saw a small grey rabbit looking back at them. It waved its little paw at them and said "Hi there!"
"…."
"Sakina, I fear that I'm finally losing my mind." Sabino said, still in shock of the talking rabbit.
"….We might both be losing it, saba." Sakina responded, the same as Sabino.
The rabbit laughed. He hopped onto the well so they could see him better. "Last night Asha was singing to the star in the sky, and it then came down, turned into a guy, and made us all talk! Then he sang a song too and then he said he wanted to help her save the kingdom, and then he turned into a horse and they ran off to a place called Rosas. It sounds fun!"
The two of them stared at the rabbit for a few moments. Then Sakina fainted.
"Is she okay?" The rabbit asked, concerned.
"Well….I guess she took my request rather quickly." Sabino laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh dear…."
Cutting back to Asha and Star, they continued in the opposite direction. Asha finally breathed after they were far away enough. "That was too close. If he knew who we were…" her voice trailed off, not wanting think about what could've happened next.
She took out her sketchbook and started flipping through pages. "Looks like talking to Flazino won't work. They might be onto us already."
"So then, what do we do now?" Star asked, slightly distracted by the passerbys.
"Luckily I wrote down a little map here based on how Flaz described this place to me. I just hope its accurate enough..." She hoped.
The three of them slowly continued, with Star and Valentino following Asha closely. The little goat kept watch in case a guard or Sabor was near. A quick shot from the rooftops showed something moving quickly across the screen.
We quickly cut to a shot at feet level where the smoke is quickly catching up to the trio, sliding between several people.
Goingg back to the trio, Asha studied her map. "First, we'll need to get to the back of the castle somehow."
Behind her, Star quickly moved out of the way of a woman pushing a wheelbarrow full of stacks of flour. "Whoops! Sorry about that, buddy! Coming through with a delivery!" she had quite a chipper voice and whistled while she worked.
"Wow, she seems happy!" Star noted.
Asha continued looking through her book. "There should be a secret entrance somewhere around here, but we'll have to go further and try to circle around so we don't alert any guards."
Someone tapped Star on the shoulder. He turned and saw a girl holding a few daffodils in her hands. She looked a bit shy as she avoided making eye contact with him. "Um, I'd like to ask for you for a favor." she spoke in a soft, whisper-like tone. "Since you were kind enough to take the last of the flowers I couldn't sell, would you mind giving these to a boy named Safi?"
Star took the flowers and gave them a sniff. "Aw, sure! By the way who-" he looked up and the girl seemed to vanish into thin air.
"No need to be bashful! I don't mind doing it!" Star yelled, hoping that wherever she was, she heard him.
Asha quickly ran back to Star. "What are you doing?! Do you want to get us caught?" she grabbed his hand and pulled him along.
Before they proceeded further, a tall lanky blonde stepped in front of them. "Hey, you guys must be new around here! How about I give you a free show? The name's Dairo, by the way." He offered as he pulled a few colored balls from his pockets. He began to juggle them effortlessly in the air.
Asha had completely ignored him. Star on other hand... "Yeah, sure!" Valentino groaned and tried to push him away from the stranger.
"All right, prepare to be amazed!" The tall teen started to increase the amount of balls from 4 to 7 and was slowly walking backwards. "How you like this?"
Star had sparkles in his eyes. "IS THIS EARTH MAGIC?! I LOVE IT!"
"Hehe! Well, I'd like to think so- Whoawhoawhoa! Yaaah-hoo-hoo-hooey!!!"
Dario had stepped on a empty glass battle on the ground and was rapidly going backwards, still juggling the balls. He eventually went so far backwards he ended up falling into a barrel of water. "I'm okay!" he assured the concerned bystanders and gave a thumbs up.
Asha sighed as she let go of Star's hand. "What a dope. I can't wait to get out of this place. No one minds their own business." she grumbled.
"You know, I get what you've told me about that guy stealing wishes. But….is it really that bad?" Star asked in sincerity.
Asha looked at Star in surprise. "What?"
"I mean aside from a few of them looking sleepy a lot, this place looks great! And you're surrounded by tons of people and try something new all the time!"
Asha scoffed. "You can't be serious! My family had to run away from this place because of him!" She slightly raised her voice. "Don't be fooled by all this. That man and his wife are pure evil, and the sooner we take them down, the better."
Star didn't quite understand, but he went along anyway. "Sorry. I guess I was just thinking that this was better than where I was before now."
"How could this be better than being in space where you had the freedom to go where you wanted?" Asha argued.
"Because....at least I'm not alone like I was up there..." Star hesitated. His smile faltered as his eyes casted downwards. We see the glow in his hair completely faded.
Valentino looked up in concern. "Baaaah?"
Asha''s expression softened. She never thought about how Star felt up there. She just assumed he was just as happy in space as he is on Earth. But bringing it up seemed to bother him. Now she understood why he was so excited in the city. Seeing him down like this...it really bothered her.
She stepped a bit closer and reached a hand out to his face. He looked up to her, with widened eyes.
(Thanks to @ishadow246 for this little doodle, it was perfect for this! Just pretend he has a hood here, K? 😅)
"I'm sorry, I-" she started, but then a small cloud of blue smoke appeared in front of her face.
Both of them jumped and exclaimed in fear, Valentino hid behind Star's legs.
(imagine this, but blue)
"Sorry about that, Asha. Magnifico is practically breathing down my neck right now." The smoke had two cartoonish eyes and a mouth, while the voice coming out was Flazino's. "Glad I learned this communication spell last month. I guess he did teach me one useful thing." The voice sounded a bit like he was in a large room with an echo.
"Could've waited a few more minutes, but all right..." Star mumbled.
"Does this mean you can actually help us? I did draw out a map, but I'm not sure if its totally accurate." Asha said as she showed the blue cloud the pages of her book.
It took a brief look and smiled. "Actually, its pretty spot on, nice going! But it'll be a different story once you're inside. The king keeps the wishes in a room at the top of the castle."
The smoke then floated up as it took a look of the path leading to the castle. The coast looked mostly clear, with only a few guards around.
"I'll take you there, but you'll have to be quick. Mags has been acting strange since that big light last night, and he might be getting suspicious." he warned them.
Star and Asha shared a knowing glance. "You think he's talking about me?" He whispered to her.
The two of them quickly followed the blue ball down a path that led away from the town square. They could see the castle getting closer into view. The camera then cuts to a faraway shot where we see something large moving quickly across the rooftops.
"When we get inside, you'll have to be quiet, the guards doubled since last night." Flazino continued. "Once you're in his study, there's a big door that leads to the Wish Chamber, but you can't open it unless-"
The voice was cut off by a large animal that pounced onto the blue cloud. It came down so quickly, the three of them barely had time to react.
The lynx held the ball in his paw and began to squeeze it. "Sabor! No, no, no, bad kitty! Bad-" POOF!
The smoke ball disappeared and nothing but blue ash was left in his paws. The lynx slowly turned his head towards Star and Asha with devilish grin.
It flashes back to Flazino who's eyes were glowing blue until the connection was gone. "Nonono, that's not good. Not good." he started to panic as he began to look for the ingredients in the lab to make another spell.
"Is something troubling you?" Magnifico asked from behind him. His staff was beginning the glow, just like his eyes. "Perhaps you lost touch with someone?" He teased as he pointed his staff at Flazino's back.
The boy was too afraid to look back, but he knew the man had an evil grin.
Jumping right back outside, from around the corner, Amaya elegantly stepped into view. "Well, well, if it isn't the brave little girl and boy, or should I say starboy?" she let out a small chuckle.
The two of them took a step back in horror, with Valentino still hiding behind them.
"How-how did you...?" Asha couldn't even finish. They were so far ahead of her. How did she find them?!
She spread her arms as if she was inviting them in for a hug. "I see you made it quite far. But I'm afraid your journey stops here. Welcome to Rosas, my dears!" The queen's eyes glow green as she finishes.
Star could only said one thing. "Oh shtars-"

FINAL THOUGHTS
Wow, its been a loooong time, hasn't it? Looks like most of the fandom was on break and working on their rewrites at the same time, lol. There were times I felt like the dog that was left alone for a few hours and I just went crazy by going into all my friends AUs and then my own stuff. I think was actually shorter than planned.
But yeah, at long last we got Chapter 6! I'll admit this was a little harder to write this one. One because I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and write, and two I've had a ton of art to make on the side when I can. So now more of my characters can get some art! Now for this one, I had A LOT going on, mostly because there's so much I want to tell, and this story will probably be about 20 chapters or less. That's usually the length of my stories, even in non-fan work, so strap in.
So not only did we get the rest of teens (which will fully assemble later on) more of a focus later after Star has his first confrontation with Mags here. We also get more of Flazino, who's got his own storyline at this rate, lol. As you can see he can perform a bit if magic himself, but only small doses. (really playing into the double agent thing now, I'm really surprised how quickly he got fans)
His entire mood between chapters 5 & 6 (I'm sure he's fine…):
(George here is pretty much the base of WG!Flazino so it fits)
And I had to gave you a sprinkling of ship teasing with Asha and Star. I say sprinkle because the ship's gonna get stronger in the next chapters. Chapter 7 will be LONG, and we need a point where Asha can sleep, she's just been going nonstop and might end up like Flazino if she's not careful.
I'll give you some details on what's coming next: Dahlia and the teens will all come back in Chapter 7, and we'll see how she knows Asha. Our first magic battle between Star and Mags who finally meet, that traitor amongst us scene from the original film, Flaz needing therapy and of course SHIPPING!!
As for things outside this chapter, I'm posting a DTIYS challenge finally, so I hope you'll like to join it!
Thanks for reading!

The Wishing Kingdom: Chapter 1: Our Story Starts
(The screen is blank for a few seconds, until a font that says “A few years later” appears, one that faded away, we get our first glimpse of the hamlet, in that area, there’s triangle-shaped roofs of each house staked onto cobblestone rocks in front of some swoopy trees as it’s built as a safe habitat for others to stay safe from the king and queen, then, we see some ragged-clothed people holding on to some laundry and some soil to create a fireplace for themselves to stay warm and to make some food from it as well.)
(Like this shot from The Last Unicorn except it’s showing the rest of the Hamlet.)
After 2 minutes of all that is going on, we get introduced to 12-year-old Asha as she is seen sleeping in her bedroom until the sunshine splashes on her face, waking herself up even though it was so early in the morning.
“Woah! Is it that time already, it’s gone fast than I can hardly imagine!” Asha stretches her arms while seated in her bed, she also got a small glimpse of her pet goat, Valentino with a piece of white cloth on his mouth persuading her to do her work.
“MAAAAAA” Valentino screeched with such enthusiasm.
“Hey there bud, ready to start the day?” She hops out of bed to touch his face as she gently takes the cloth out his mouth, not long after, we get to see Sakina and Sabino walking over to Asha’s side.
“Awww, our little Asha being a grown-up lass, isn’t she just so gentle?” Sabino touches her cheek playfully while he gives his hand to petting Valentino, Sakina joins in too before she is urged to say something as well.
“Yeah, you’re so right, dear, and she will always remain to be here with us for eternity.” She slowly looks at Asha, a slow orchestral background plays that is so loving and gentle before Asha speaks.
“Awww, thank you guys, I could’ve never asked for anything better, now, who’s ready for chores?” She got herself up and held up the white cloth as if she were one of those guards, almost leaving confusion on Valentino, Sakina and Sabino’s faces.
That is until Valentino started jumping around Asha with his paw gesturing the outside of the hamlet, being impatient, from that reaction, Sabino, Sakina and Asha look at each other before they shrugged, grabbed their equipment and opened the door to a brand new day, which leads to the first song!
Our Hamlet/ Our Rosas
In this opening musical number, it shows us what life is like between both worlds, the hidden hamlet which was made as a safe habitat for folks who want to be safe from the king and queen who held Rosas captive, it’s a bit like “Belle”, “Circle of Life” and “Steady as The Beating Drum”, it’s sort of like that but more of a welcome edition to the world.
(Before the song starts, Asha opens the cottage doors with Sabino and Sakina by her side as she grabs her basket to get her work done!)
(Asha)
The people have so much joy in the air,
They know a brand new day is here to stay,
It’s the same morning,
The town here is shining, whoops sorry!
(During the first line, we get a shot of a few people walking around and doing their work with smiles on their faces while Asha strolls around with her basket following every step, in the final line, she accidentally bumps into a young man who is just about to finish his laundry, as she runs off, he rolls his eyes and continues with what he is doing.)
Everyone’s got something,
On their mind that’s spinning,
Behind these roots and those leaves,
Lies a town I can’t leave!
(While Asha is singing the second line, she is seen jumping down on the stairs of each cottage simply made of rocks while observing the people around her, when she says the third line, she gestures the trees and spins around them as if this is her place of comfort.)
(Everyone)
Here inside this hamlet,
We grab the cloth and go,
The scrubbin, the washing,
Is all we have to hold,
Here inside this hamlet,
Our wishes stay aglow,
Who knows what miracles,
Have in store,
In our hamlet.
(With the chorus going in, we go into some townspeople telling others about the work and using their hard work as a purpose to keep their wishes glowing, in one shot, Leo is seen guarding one house whereas Dextrous sleeps on his shoulder, he wakes up suddenly to start guarding, in the final line, we than pan over to the kingdom of Rosas, where King Magnifico and Queen Amaya rule over their subjects.
A citizen of Rosas starts to sing as he is carrying a massive sack of royalty for the king and queen)
(Citizen 1)
With all this load left to hold, I might drain,
What if they find out, they might go insane!
(Citizen 2)
These broken wings of mine,
Yet when will they fly again?
(Both citizens are at the marketplace of Rosas when singing those lines, the first line is supposed to show how the people are forced to work tirelessly with no sleep in order to please the king and queen, and also, the line “these broken wings of mine, yet when will they fly again?” that citizen 2 is singing, the line is supposed to highlight how the citizens of Rosas are enslaved by Magnifico and Amaya’s power forcing them to do everything they say, but the question that is sung emphasises freedom for themselves so that they can pursue their own dreams of their own.)
(Both citizens)
It feels like death is holding on to me,
Just you wait for the day, we’d all be free!
(All citizens)
Right here in Rosas,
Where flowers stay bloomed,
Where a tragedy hits so deep,
Which made our home so bruised,
Right here in Rosas,
We’re holding onto our hopes,
Who knows what lies beneath this hoax,
Behind those heavy doors,
In our Rosas,
In our hamlet!
(In the last chorus, we get a massive set of choreography where the citizens are gathering around as they are dancing around the plaza, in one shot, you get a medium shot of a few people in rags being persuaded to dance along with the citizens, in another shot, some people dance around the statues of Magnifico and Amaya paired together, throughout this number, we get the idea that the Hamlet is a safe haven where they keep their wishes protected whereas Rosas is a literal dystopia where slavery is forced by the king and queen.)
After the number, the camera goes right back to the hamlet where Asha is just about to get her work finished.
There’s a point where she spots Dextrous humming the previous song whilst leaning against the cottage door, her hand rested on his shoulder while she suggests him to get on with his job.
“Eh, sorry miss, I’m just bothered at the moment, it’d be best if you leave me here to rest.” Dextrous replied as his eyes are half-closed like he was about to go to sleep.
“Oh, come on, doing your own work isn’t so bad after all.” She expressed while her hands grasped onto her basket of laundry where she was about to head to the river nearby, that is until Leo arrives with her sketchbook in his hand.
“Heh, looks like you forgot this! Now let’s see here, hmm…” He snoops over her pages (not in a mean way but more of a playful yet innocent way.) which only made Asha twitch her eye a bit, so she starts some banter while he still has her book.
“Been swearing, haven’t ya?”
“No, no I haven’t, I was only just filled with smoke, how can I not puff it all out?” Her sarcastic voice puts him off a bit but it doesn’t bother him.
“Heh, I didn’t know you can tell me how this got you to write like this?”
“Stop playing, Leo, it’s just my thoughts, and personally, it’s like everyone has a story.” She snatches the book of him while she rubs it with her apron, catching Leo and Dextrous aghast when she says that everyone has a story.
“Well, yeah, that is the truth.” She starts opening her sketchbook to show her some of her drawings with Leo and Dextrous. “This here is where I started my first drawing, I know it isn’t perfect like you guys would say it is.”
“Perfect?! Since when did I hear someone say perfect throughout their whole life?” Leo raised his eyebrow, he knew it was all a joke.
Asha’s eyes knitted the friends. “Um, dunno, it just came out of my head, the fact that it’s not really my best drawings…”
“Oh come on, we all love your drawings, imperfect or not.” Dextrous opened his eyes and expressed his true feelings to his trusted friend.
“Thanks… But, I feel like…” After Asha stutters on what is trying to come out of her mouth, we are shown that in a few pages of her messed up sketches and doodles to different types of constillations, gliding across the book as if its a first draft on her finished work,
(This is used to emphasise on how Asha has been willing to inspire people through her own work, she knows that sketching and writing her thoughts is her only strength and she has a fault for seeing the eyes of other people, but in terms of art style, she’s willing to improve as well.)
Leo and Dextrous were wide-mouthed after seeing her pages. “I see, it’s as deep as I could’ve imagined as well.”
“But no matter what happens, you don’t need to always say that you need time to finish with whatever you’re doing, what matters is that we’re here to support you, Asha, just remember that!” Leo’s words fuelled her heart which opened so wide with admiration.
“I mean, yeah, you are the one who fills the world with sunshine.” Dextrous replies as well. (There’s your first reference of the rewrite, Snow White right here, but this is used to describe how much Asha cares for her friends so much and they're willing to support her.)
“So you mean that whenever you’re turning black, I’m the one who completely changes your colour to make you brighter with my heart?” She questioned, she didn’t quite get it all at once.
“Yes, that’s what we mean.” Leo answered back.
Unfortunately, we hear Gilllia’s anger behind the cottage nearby, she is called by him but she walks over with her arms crossed and sat at the furthest pit of the cottage they were standing with.
“WHATS ALL THE FUSS ABOUT?! DIDNT MY DAY JUST CRUMBLE?! Her croaky voice caught everyone’s attention all of a sudden.
“Looks like someone got hit by the wrong ball over there!” Dextrous joked as he gestures right towards Gillia.
“Dextrous!” Leo scoffed and knudged him in the arm leaving him shocked.
“Anyway, what’s the point of showing these sketches and making them your life source, kind of a waste if you think about it.” She said more calmly but she still had that temper slipping through her veins.
“Oh Gilllia, it’s not that bad of a habit, unless you get bored of it like it’s the same thing, but you see here, this page looks off, can you see? Here?” Asha walks over to her and then gestures the page of a drawing of a hamlet citizen, (a concept art version if you want to put it correctly.)
It takes her a bit of time to figure out what is wrong with Asha’s drawing, she instead replies with, “There’s not a single thing I can point out, Asha, the drawing is actually quite good, since when did you get this sort of talent?”
“Taught it myself, you know, I was thinking I’d tell you guys since I’ve been curious about what wishes you’ll write for the stars.” The topic slowly changed as soon as Asha is sat between her friends whilst she is hesitant for their answers.
“To be honest, I don’t know what to wish for, but I’ve heard so many stories about the stars years ago.” This was Leo’s only answer he could come up with before Dextrous took his turn to answer.
“No matter how much I might’ve said this, I think I might wish to be more aware of my surroundings.” Dextrous looks down at his feet after that, “But I feel like I’m getting the hang of it, ya know?”
Gillia’s eyebrows transform into a distant frown when she was asked about what she wanted to wish for, but everyone else knew that her mouth was closed, maybe she isn't ready yet or she doesn't feel like talking about it with her other friends, even though they are the ones who she can trust.
“I guess she isn't ready yet, maybe we'll ask her at some point.” Dexterous patted on her shoulder and eyed right at Asha as she is about to pick her own laundry up from the basket.
“Yeah, but I feel like I also don't know what to wish for, making a wish is complicated because there are so many opportunities one person can hold, but does it really matter if we sit down with our head on the desk, we think about what drives us to pursue that wish?” Leo sighed while he slowly caught a glimpse of the morning sky. “When the stars come out, I hope they answer one’s call.”
“Don't worry, Leo, I’m sure they will come out someday, I know it, and it goes for all of you, when your wish is shown on a ribbon, the stars will listen closely and make sure to grant it as soon as possible!” Asha replied to Leo as his heart slowly began to warm up from her wisdom.
We then take a few seconds for the friend group to look at their hearts to make sure that their wishes are secured, meanwhile, Asha glanced at a castle not so far away and then looked back at where she was, until a voice appears…
“Asha! Time to go back home now!” The voice shouted from a distance.
From there, she starts to pack her laundry and before going straight away, she slowly starts saying goodbye to her friends and they wave back as she climbs up the rocks all the way back to her cottage.

Final Notes
This is the first chapter that I fully wrote to start off the story of “The Wishing Kingdom”, with the hamlet and Rosas song, I wanted to show you different sides of both worlds and how each person lives their regular life, what I also wanted to show you was the dynamic between Asha and her three friends with each of them supporting one another.
Forgot to mention that the montage of Asha’s drawings, I wanted to use that as a metaphor as to what Walt Disney truly meant when he wanted to create fairy tales into movies, like he did with Snow White, it's also a metaphor for animation as a whole, you know like teaching yourself the basic principles and how they inhabit life into characters and objects!
But don't worry, in Chapter 2, you will see Sakina, Sabino and Asha’s dynamic whilst also getting our first glimpse of the king and queen of Rosas and what they do for a living as well. But in that chapter alone, you will see that the wishes mean so much more to the Hamlet according to Sabino, so you will get more of him, so for now, stay tuned for more!

Tiny Glade Tuesday
I have a new (and relaxing) obsession. It is a newly released building game on Steam called Tiny Glade. There are no monsters, no quests, just a relaxing 'doodle-like' canvas on which to make buildings, large or small, simple or complex. It is mindless while at the same time being mind/ful/.
If you come to the game not knowing what to build, there's a daily "challenge" (more like inspiration) where the game gives you a starting building (or sometimes a ruin), and tells you what to build. For example - yesterday's challenge was to build a Hilltop Hamlet. The starting building was a well. Here is my offering
Here is a closer up of some of the buildings.
The program's interface puts in the clutter for you, like the barrels and the pitchforks, and the laundry that you can see hanging from the windows.
My current big project is a fairytale/fantasy world, and I'll try and share images of that as I progress. I suspect it will take a while.

watching an amateur and badly audio’d rendition of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead with zero prior knowledge of Hamlet really was a very strange and unintelligible introduction to the whole story. Definitely harder to parse than when I watched Dune II without seeing the first movie. Trying to read the 1st Warrior Cats book of the first arc followed by the 2nd of the 2nd arc, 3rd of the 3rd, etc was a confusing and frustrating nightmare. Fortunately starting with the second Harry Potter book in the series was really easy and I wasn’t confused at all, which probably says something to the complexity of that series.
I would like to stress none of these were my fault and should be blamed on the adults around me, none of whom were repeated in this laundry list of absurd consuming orders btw. They just all collectively decided to make my exposure to media very jumbled.

How has your day been?
What is your favorite book?
Do you like pastries?
Honestly my day has been extremely frustrating, I’m looking after my cousins dogs with my brother at the moment and I woke up to find they’d eaten a full pack of sugar, half a loaf of bread, all the freshly cleaned and collected eggs and licked the butter into oblivion because my brother left all the food on the counter out. Also the chickens escaped from their enclosure twice today so that was a very tiring problem. But I did have a really nice walk along the country lanes with one of the dogs and I watched the swallows fly though the barley fields. Kind of made up for the day being largely consistent of chores and constant cleanup. And I watched mamma Mia while I folded laundry so that makes up for some things too.
I have a lot of favourite books but I think my all time favourite would have to be Ella minnow pea by mark Dunn. Other favs include Hamnet (different from Hamlet), the orchard on fire, my year of rest and relaxation, pride and prejudice, the penelopiad and midnight blue
I. Love. Pastries. The first time I went to France 2 years ago I had a strawberry tart that was so good I cried on the steps outside the patisserie. I love making pastries too although my abilities pretty much stop at summer fruit tarts and apple turnovers. I need to learn how to make croissants that’s a goal of mine. I’m now craving a vanilla crown and a chocolate twist.

What are some of Grell’s theater dream roles? I’d like to imagine that she has a laundry list of parts she’d want to play if she got the chance
omg i am so sorry i had answered this in like…idk april? and then accidentally deleted the draft instead of posting it and then i didn’t check my inbox and after a while the passage of time got embarrassing but i’ve decided i am answering for realsies now. I AM SO SORRYYYYY THIS IS GENUINELY EMBARRASSING anyway
gonna be real i am not familiar with historically relevant plays but grell is a shakespeare girlie so i’m going to just throw what i think her dream shakespeare roles would be ❤️
lady macbeth in macbeth: lady macbeth is such a coveted role in general and you cannot tell me grell wouldn’t absolutely eat it UP. she very much has the right vibe for the role (and the look! this painting of ellen terry as lady macbeth reminds me so much of her) but also on a metatextual level grell would definitely have an interesting approach to playing the role bc of what lady macbeth stands for thematically. lady macbeth’s relationship to motherhood (and arguably womanhood in general) clashes with grell’s own and i think grell would have fun delving into that as an actress. in general lady macbeth is very grell but simultaneously different enough that she’d still have fun playing her
juliet in romeo and juliet: juliet is just such a classic character that there’s no way grell isn’t clamoring to play her. grell is a huge romantic too and she’s referenced romeo and juliet so like. yeah duh
ophelia in hamlet: she already did this in that one ova so DUH. except she’d take the role very seriously fuck what the ova says. grell does not play about ophelia she gets her she’d be so into that role
portia in the merchant of venice: i ran out of interesting things to say this is just the kind of role she’d take
i literally only put thought into the lady macbeth part of this post i am so sorry. but yeah in general i think grell appreciates a good challenge acting-wise and i think she also generally enjoys playing women who are not right in the noggin in similar ways to her but just different enough that it’s still fun to play them ya feel

Anything For You
(N)Edward Little x Reader
I'm experimenting with this one so bear with me. Unsure if I will stick with it. (Current Struggle: Edward being IC. Please send feedback) For @mister-dr-goodsir Current Rating: G (Under Construction) Warnings: None Currently Current Word Count: 1,974 Summary: Nedward and you have had a working relationship as Steward and Leftenant for almost five years. Whilst in Disko he takes you as company so he is not alone whilst you are at port. His trust and care for you may be slipping out of his grasp a little as he realises he may want more of you than you are willing to offer. Or... the other way around, moreso.... He hopes you want out of him. Hopes you can make use of him. Hopes he can please you as you have pleased him. Perhaps more than a Leftenant should wish to please their steward.
There was a ripe tension in the Leftenant’s shoulders. There was a ripe tension and it rippled with stagnation worse and worse since the Discovery Service departed from Disko. It had been naught but two days and you carried about your duties as usual. The brief respite of solid land only lasts so long until seafaring legs and hearts become uneasy like caged animals. Stewards were, blessedly, rather easily ignored less they were needed for something immediately. Ensuring that the Wardroom Officers had what they needed was quite easy when they called for very little. Edward Little, affectionately, Ned, was a cordial man, a broad and well mannered individual with such eyes that pooled like new moons in the light of the Patented Illuminators in the dark of the cabins and like fresh hot coffee and milk when cast in natural light.
Leftenant Edward Little did not often need much. He was mindful of himself, always keen on ensuring that he was both reliable and independent. You knew this from the years spent serving under him. There was, of course, no shame in needing your services as a steward. It was, after all, what the Discovery Service paid you for. If you were to be quite honest there were few Wardroom Officers that truly wished to bend to the supplementary aid that you nor your other Petty Officers provided. Much of your time was spent, instead, tasked to Little and Hodgson’s linens and laundry and ensuring that their living spaces were tidied as well as their basics were supplemented. Soaps, their personals, parchment and ink of course. To ensure that the Command did not need for things was much more just maintenance of keeping them well provisioned. Fresh clean and hot water for the morning and evening was always your priority. Usually you were more than able to slip in and out of his cabin unseen and unnoticed in the early morning and in the evening. Whilst the Leftenants were in for their evening meal, usually taken together, you were left ample time to bring hot boiled water to his basin. Twixt your duties you put things back where you knew he would keep them and where he liked them to be.
Thankfully the man was not as much a mess as some others you certainly knew of. In a funny way you knew that Edward Little would be quite clean. This was not your first time serving under Leftenant Little. Nor, did you hope, would it be your last. The two of you had a strange and unspoken relationship that had begun to shift and ebb in a way you did not understand since Disko. You had served under Little as a Steward aboard the HMS Vindictive back in 1842. He was a senior Leftenant then and even here he carried the years of experience within his shoulders. Shoulders that you knew from having spent nearly a half a decade now tending to his requirements. You knew things about this man that you probably ought not.
In Disko, he had watched as Dundy and Irving left off to traverse the hamlet with Hodgson. You, however, had prepared to explore the unusual land that was, in all reality, a sea away from what you considered home alone. Edward Little had looked to you then, his imposing height in full glorious uniform that you had helped button down that morning. He was a well adorned and decorated Leftenant. Edward Little caught you by surprise when he held both of his hands in front of him politely and inquired if you would not wander too far and accompany him during their stay in Disko, his gloved fingers knitted woefully before his stooped shoulders.
You were off duty. You dipped your head and nodded at that, a strange sense of duty and loyalty to him slipping through despite your best efforts. “If that is what you wish, Leftenant Little,” you had offered a cordial bow of your head then and followed him well and dutifully. He spoke about his previous visit and how the small hamlet of Claushavn had grown. He told you of the time he had tried his hand at whaling when he last had been there. He spoke fondly of navigating the Sullorsuaq Strait and the Bowhead Whales that harboured there during the seasons and their magnificence. You could not recall a time when any of the Wardroom Officers sought you for casual pleasantries. With all respect it was not only usual but often looked down upon as a form of fraternisation.
The sun would begin to dip early in the evening. Each of those evenings you returned to the ship as they drew into a rich crisp cold that wracked your teeth with chatters, your body drawn up tight to conserve warmth. Edward never seemed as steeped by the cold as you. It was always when a palsy of cold began to grip your body that Leftenant Little ushered the both of you back to the ship where, finally within the warmth of his cabin, your trembling fingers would undo his jacket and waistcoat and help ensure that they were well put away. Little had been a First Leftenant already once before, which meant he took Command with a tone of serious contemplation. Fastidious habits and mindful self care were incredibly important to the Admiralty. Yet unshelled in this manner he stood less like a man that sought glorious futures of Captaining his own ship and more as a gentleman that appreciated your presence and the knowing direction you provided when you worked. You were still off duty. Something that nagged in the back of your mind as you knew you certainly would not be paid for this work. The cold still sat deep in your bones as you asked each evening if that was all he required of you. You were still off duty. And each evening he would bow his head and nod politely, “Indeed,” he would speak low and calm, eyes upon his desk or the floor or perhaps his bed as if he was uncertain of his place in his own bedcabin. “Thank you for your service.”
And you would politely bow your head back to him and bid him a pleasant night, sliding his door shut with a mindful gesture as to not disturb anyone else that may be asleep.
This accompanying companionship continued for the three days you were at Disko. Leftenant Little caught you before you could escape anywhere and inquired for your presence each morning to which you, truly, had no other plans. You could not speak the local dialect nor knew where you were when traversing the shore nor surrounding land that he desired to show you before your ship left port the following day.
It was when you returned early to the ship for an evening meal that you realised something was amiss. Something had woven itself pitifully into the Lefetnant. You ate with the other Petty Officers as you always did but observed quietly as your charge returned woefully and dolefully to his bedcabin quiet early. That would normally be your cue. There was a duty you had to ensure that the Leftenant was tended to. You shovelled the last of your dinner and took a good hearty drink of your tea before you excused yourself.
He allowed you in, knocking briefly in the way you always had since the HMS Vindictive and allowed yourself in. He looked at you with startled eyes, large orbs taking your presence as if he had not anticipated you meeting like this. The idea seemed absurd and yet, “I may return a proper time if now is poor, sir,” you offered, though went about picking his boots up regardless and tucking them beside his berth.
It was here that things seemed different. It was this moment that something became… strange between the two of you.
Edward Little warred with something as he danced between his feet. He did this every so often as the ship moved, his body taking up the tide as if it would rock him back to a state of calm. He was clutching his hat between his hands, slow rotations. He had told you that you were alright to do as you please. You did as you always did and when you returned with evening water for his basin, hot and steaming, he asked if there was anything he could do for you.
You were stunned to a strange surreal silence. “I beg your pardon, sir.”
“Is there,” he had swallowed hard, “Something, if anything at all,” he struggled, mouth opening and closing with those saucers of rich chocolate flickering between you and the floor, “Ah. Forget me. I must be unwell. Out of sorts…” He turned from you then, a bitter and detached, “Dismissed,” coming from him where he could not face you.
Two days and he had avoided you like a sullen thing that had been caught mid offence. He would not raise his gaze to you. Usually you were more than able to slip in and out of his cabin unseen and unnoticed in the early morning and in the evening. You had restocked his parchment. You had refilled his ink and tidied his desk. However, his linens battled against your desire to ensure his bed looked pleasantly comfortable and well made when he entered. Your last engagement had left you feeling as an undesired intruder. The callousness with which he dismissed you last leaving you feeling hollow a little and as if you were a nuisance that ought not be in a Leftenant’s path if you could help it. He had left you questioning much of him from that little interaction. He had not spoken nor raised his eyes to meet you since.
“Oh,” was all he had offered at first, immediately removing his hat as he stood in the doorway with a shameful look upon his features. He was a beautiful man in his own respect. Handsome and pleasant but still a Wardroom Officer. You stood like a stunned creature, staked to the wood floor with his pillow still yet in your hands. “I am intruding.”
“It is your cabin, sir,” You spoke reflexicely, the statement itself a far cry from how you ought to have spoken to him. “May I ask something of you, sir?” You were unsure where this was coming from, a sudden shift in the air propelling you like wind in sails. You moved towards him.
“Yes, yes anything,” he seemed uneasy but finally after those forty eight hours of palpable tension and uncertainty he looked to you with those rich eyes. “I meant it. If there was something you wished of me, I would gladly do what I can. You do so very much for me. It hangs upon my shoulders that I may take advantage of your services,” he confessed. It was an out of place thing, almost as if the Leftenant had dropped his teacup and could not catch it before it clattered to the floor in a hundred porcelain daggers. He looked much the same.
This stunned you into freezing once more. “Oh. I ah,” you lost your thought for a moment, “I am unsure what I would ask of you. I have no complaints working under you, sir,” you had canted your head, measuring him carefully.
“You have worked so very hard for me. These years,” he gives a thoughtful pause. “I… Wish you would ask something of me.” a soft shudder was rippling through his body, his limbs tense where he stood. “However you wish. However would please you.” “...Oh?” came from your lips. And then, all at once you realised what he was implying by this sentiment and your world came crashing down. You gasp. “OH.”

Cuphead Show Dreamstones Edition: Devil Headcanons
Aside from Old Scratch, Mr. S and the Big D, the Devil is also known as Satan, The Father of the Lies and, of course, Lucifer.
He considers Lexie and Natty to be his greatest rivals/enemies since they are both Christians.
He has a major case of daddy issues.
According to Natty, he throws a tantrum like a 5-year-old.
His favourite foods are certain dishes named after him such as devilled crab for instance.
His favourite choices of beverages range from tea, coffee, wine and champagne. He also enjoys a bit of fruit punch and sparkling water every now and then.
He enjoys devilled eggs and claims he actually invented them.
His favourite dessert is devil’s food cake.
The Devil’s favourite types of music are jazz, swing and opera.
He can play the piano, pipe organ and the violin.
He enjoys sweets, so you can be sure he can have quite a sweet tooth.
He also likes spicy foods.
The Devil actually hates anything sour.
He likes Katie’s coconut scented shampoo and uses similar haircare products to keep his fur as soft and fresh smelling as possible to impress her. Of course, this just creeps her out.
His favourite colours are red, black and gold.
The Devil’s known weakness is the Bible. Whenever he unknowingly or unwillingly makes physical contact with it, he gets zapped much like how he gets electrocuted when in contact with the impenetrable invisible sweater.
Whenever he takes a bubble bath, he has a rubber duck, which he affectionately names “Mr. Squeaks” due to the cute squeaky noises it makes whenever he squeezes it. No one in the Underworld but Henchman knows about Mr. Squeaks.
The Dreamstones often give him certain terms of insults. Such as “Old Scratch Butt”, “Mr. Stupid, and “The Big Doofus”. On separate occasions, Katie isn’t above calling him… “Luci”.
Due to his jealousy of Katie and Validor are dating, the Devil had dug up a book titled “Controlling Your Rage Volume 2: How to Cope with Your Envy”. Of course, much like with the previous book, he tends to tear out the pages and scatter them about in a fit of vent out fury.
Remember those pink bath towels he had been wearing after his shower in Release the Demons? Turns out someone had unknowingly thrown a red bow tie among the white laundry, thus making all of his bath towels pink.
Despite his flamboyant personality, his sexuality is straight.
Since the incident with losing his pitchfork that had fallen into Cuphead’s hands, the Devil has been working on trying to use his powers without his pitchfork should he end up misplacing it again or if there’s ever a time he’s disarmed. He’s even trying to learn how to summon it back into his hand akin to using the Force from Star Wars. Of course, he will still need his pitchfork to teleport.
He seems to be very fond of trains.
He’s also taking note to make sure that the Bubbles of Failure don’t apply to his pitchfork and the elevator when he needs to go up to the surface world to collect a soul.
Even though he’s purely evil, the Devil is still a gentleman as he values some proper edicts such as decent table manners and keeps his advances towards Katie as family friendly as possible as he is limited to cuddling and will often kiss her hand.
There’s often a running gag where characters outside of the Inkwell Isles often mistake the Devil for a very large cat man with horns.
He secretly sleeps with a dolphin plushie he made “Mr. Pebbles” on certain occasions, such as when he feels down.
He enjoys books written by Shakespeare. Among his favourites are Macbeth and Hamlet.
The Devil is ambidextrous, which means he tends to hold his pitchfork in his left hand and switched to holding it in his right hand.
He enjoys the theatre and has a soft spot for The Phantom of the Opera.
His #1 Boss coffee mug was a gift from Henchman.
His white suit and top hat combo is his trademark outfit for dancing purposes as shown in Carn-Evil and The Devil & Ms. Chalice.

Okay I'm going to ramble slightly about my headcanons on Satori's pets now. But to start it off, I first have to establish my thoughts on animal/beast youkai, since it's obviously relevant.
Based on what canon lore there is, what folklore I know, and just what I feel works best, this is my thoughts on the creation of beast youkai. The vast majority of beast youkai start out as just regular animals. Any animal that can survive long enough begins to become a youkai but this happens in a series of stages. First they're a normal animal. Then their intelligence begins to grow. Eventually they reach a point of having human/youkai level intellect then their magical power also begins to grow. Eventually, some time after this, they gain the ability to take on a humanesque youkai form.
So, for example, Nazrin would have just been a normal mouse before she became a nezumi (I think Nezumi just means mouse but ... I'm using it as a youkai term because I make the rules. Kitsune just means fox after all). But yeah. The vast majority of animals don't live long enough to start becoming youkai and even among those that do many do not make it to full youkaihood.
I do think that when a beast youkai that's gained their human form has a child that that child is born within the stage that they are on. However I also generally think that youkai having children is an uncommon thing. Thus the majority of all beast youkai are incredibly long-lived animals.
Now you may recall within the lore that the reason Satori has so many pets is because animals flock to her. Specifically because her mind reading abilities allow her to communicate with them. I do not think that every animal within the world of Touhou has the intelligence to actually communicate through thought. Instead these animals that flock to Satori are those within that first stage of beast youkaihood. Where they have gained intelligence but do not have the magical ability to communicate with other youkai or humans.
Due to the fact that they have intelligence, the pets are able to free roam around the palace and surrounding area without fear of harm. Satori is fairly accepting of pets of all shapes and sizes but an unwillingness to harm one another is one of the core requirements, which she can sense with her mindreading. She'll still aid a predator unwilling to put behind its nature in finding a place it belongs but it won't be around the other pets. Maybe at the side of an animal loving oni instead.
As far as her pets go, Satori has an entire menagerie. A significant majority of the population are Kasha and Hell Crows because they are the native animal population of Old Hell. Still, the name Satori Komeiji is known across Gensokyo and other places where animals dwell, thus burgeoning beast youkai of all forms make the pilgrimage to her home. All traditional pets can be found within her palace. As can the occasional rare wild animal such as tigers, bears, boars, and elephants. The least common are actually farm animals, given most do not live remarkably long lifespans.
The majority who achieve full youkaihood do not remain at the palace of the earth spirits. Instead setting off to make their own place in the world now that they are capable of taking their full form. Satori expects this, though appreciates those few who do stick around. To support with this Satori has constructed a small hamlet not too far from Chireiden which acts as a home for many beast youkai. Some permanently settle their, others just use it as a transient space until they find a lair of their own. Some, particularly more ferocious beasts, wind up crewing with the oni of the Old Capitol.
Satori does not require her pets to work. Just like Orin and Okuu, however, many desire to do so in order to pay her back. For this reason a vast majority of the work within Chireiden is divided up between the many pets. At certain times of day it's common to see an alligator waddling along with a laundry basket or a snake handing out food. Long in the past Satori did nearly all the work in the manor but now she's mostly left to administrate.
There is a great benefit to this. The palace was made to house vengeful spirits. Something that is dangerous to both humans and youkai. The animals that work in Chireiden, however, prove to be an exception. As they are partway to becoming youkai they have natural magic defenses against spirit possession just as youkai do. Yet, as they are still long-lived animals that have not become youkai yet, they cannot have their life drained from them by a spirit the way that a youkai could. Kasha are particularly resistant, even upon becoming full youkai, for this reason they work the most directly with the spirits.
Satori knows the name of every pet but at least for the vast majority she does not name them herself. Because almost all of them are animals who lived a long life prior to becoming partial youkai, most come with their own names. Satori respects their autonomy too much to attempt to change them. Though, in regards to Hell Crows and Kasha that are born around the palace, Satori has been occasionally asked to name them. One example is Fuwa, who Satori gave her name.
As a final little detail. I think that, once they both left their isolation and began to interact with Gensokyo (maybe even some time in the past before), Satori and Kasen found common ground in which to get along. They both have pet youkai animals, which I think serves as a bonding point for them. Furthermore I write my Satori as a Taoist and Kasen is a hermit. I'm not sure that they would interact regularly but I imagine they direct pets that they believe the other could better care for to each other. Maybe have some form of playdates too.
As a second final little detail. Unless someone else would also like to use this relationship, this only applies to my Satori and the Yamame I write on my multimuse but: Yamame is an example of one of Satori's pets that moved out after achieving their youkai form.

Last Monday of the Week 2023-05-01
Labour Day. Extremely busy family event over the past five days.
Listening: It takes a while for any given Tom Cardy song to firmly cement itself in my head but "motherfucker thinks that he's the Carmelengo" and "He pats too hard, he pats too fast, he's a drug addict, he tried to sell me meth" has been stuck in my head now. So Party Dog.
youtube
Reading: Bleh. Nothing.
Playing: Also nothing.
Watching: This performance of Hamlet.
youtube
Well done but extremely heavily edited, not a great first-time hamlet if you haven't seen it before. Extremely compelling depiction of Hamlet going insane.
Making: Wildlife photography over the weekend, plus sewing a laundry bag today. That was done on the sewing machine, which is unusual for me, I inherited my sewing habits from my mother and she does most things by hand.
You'll see those photos come up soon, some of them are already in the tag.
Tools and Equipment: Did you know you can get LiFePO4 batteries that are drop-in replacements for 12V lead acid in low to medium power applications? They're obviously nowhere near capable of the kind of crank current lead acid can do but I used them to replace some light duty backup batteries around the house and they're doing great so far.
