Omg you already did Helena yay :D :) thanks for plugging huntress 89 when you mention her love this for me
If you want someone else to do then how about Diana and/or Donna Troy
Diana
Sexuality Headcanon: Bi
Gender Headcanon: ?? Woman ? not a lot of strong headcanons WRT cis or trans stuff.
A ship I have with said character: i don't actually have a ton of diana ships :P But I do think that Diana/artemis would be super hot
A BROTP I have with said character: she has a lot of really good friendships I like diana and artemis and diana and julia the most probably
A NOTP I have with said character: Diana x Whoever the fuck Champion is in Byrnes run i'm reading right now. I have my theories.
A random headcanon: i have been trying 2 think of a good headcanon for her for ages.............. RIP Diana I failed u
General Opinion over said character: I love her! She's my 10th favorite DC character (and I love a lot of DC characters so I have to really like them for them to make the list :P) I think she is such a fun and complex character and has so many issues fandom ignores but also is very strong.
Donna
Sexuality Headcanon: Lesbian
Gender Headcanon: Cis woman
A ship I have with said character: Donnakoryrae OTP
A BROTP I have with said character: Dick and Donna are cute.
A NOTP I have with said character: DonnaTerry fu marv
A random headcanon: Donna kept in contact w/ Wally via text during the soap-opera-esque stuff of the Baron and Messner-Loebs flash run. She's always like "you'll never guess waht happened" when updating the other teen titans about it.
General Opinion over said character: I love her! I think she is a fun character. Also WRT DIana being here, her and Diana's perfectionism issues and worries about how they are perceived are so fun in tandem its a shame they don't know each other post COIE.

Okay, since finished reading Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood, I'm putting together my thoughts on it and how everything fits into my personal Helena Bertinelli mythos. Anyway, I thought the writing and the story-telling was good. This is more about my personal thoughts on how I like her backstory. Without further ado:
I fully admit to being biased to Huntress (‘89) and Helena’s re-introduction into the Batman-comics in Detective Comics #652 and #653 since those were some of my first introductions to her and I don’t like change, but there’s still some cool stuff in this retcon that I’m definitely going to steal.
Let’s start with what I liked: I liked that the Bertinelli family massacre felt like a massacre. I like how much more it grounded Helena in the network and politics of the mob. In the Huntress (‘89) run she felt much more apart from all of it. And part of that was from her just being apart from the family business in that run, but also, everything just feels so much more connected in this. Like, her showing up to the weddings and funerals? Her being apart from the mafia but still a part? Very good.
Tangentially related, I’m of mixed opinions about her brother. In execution, it’s like look! she has a brother who’s never been mentioned before and will probably never be mentioned again! It feels like he’s just here to increase the body count. However, as an idea, I like it. I think Helena should have another dead boy haunting her. She deserves more mainpain. I’m going to save it to bring up if I ever write that Knightfall AU I’ve got in my back pocket.
I do prefer previous incarnations of Helena’s origin where her survival of the massacre was due to accident and luck rather than being something purposeful. Idk, just something about the fact that it could have gone the other way. The image of her lying there on the floor, playing dead in a spreading pool of her family's blood. I like it. (I’m not sure if that’s an image from the actual comic, but it’s an image sitting in my head, so…)
I guess related to that, I was largely uninterested in the mystery of why she survived. I also thought the whole subplot of ‘actually Helena was illegitimate and her parents' marriage was terrible and unhappy’ was just unnecessary? Like, what does it add to her character? And like, it’s not like any of that is unexpected per se. I’m not surprised by the knowledge. I guess there’s this idea of Helena experiencing disillusionment of the parents she lost so young, but, idk. It just felt unnecessary.
More of a sidenote: but the fact that just about every Huntress-centric mini-series (the exception being Nightwing/Huntress I guess) feels the need to revisit the Massacre, to add a new unsolved mystery? Like, on one hand I get it, it’s a way to re-establish her character. But also, on the other hand, can’t she catch a break? Can’t she move on? Will her search for vengeance never end?
Of course, now that I’ve written this, it's kind of obvious that she can’t. That she has to be constantly tormented by this tragedy at the root of her. Still, I think they could mix it up every once in a while.
This is more subjective, but I think I liked the version of her origin where she was an adult when the massacre happened better. Like, there was nothing wrong with her being a kid, but I just really liked Huntress (‘89) and Helena being a college student and then the massacre happens and she’s not anymore and everything’s still raw and she's wrestling with it all at the same time that Huntress is going out.
I think this one’s mainly a matter of which one I read first because Helena as a little girl letting everything simmer and simmer for years before it finally blooms into the mantle of the Huntress is also very compelling in a different way.
I’m neutral on the whole ‘trained by mob assassins’ vs ‘trained by her bodyguard’ thing. That being said, I feel like a lot of people in dc are trained by assassins. At least in the Bat corner of things.
Finally, I’m not feeling the whole ‘inspired by Batman’ part of origin. Like, I get it. If you retcon her backstory to take place in Gotham, you have to reckon with the bat. It’d make less sense for to have not been inspired by Batman. Still, I just really liked how independent from Batman Helena’s original origin in the ‘89 was.
And on a related note, I really wish that they would stop giving Helena Batman!daddy issues. Like, I’m so tired of some guy showing up in every solo and psycho-analyzing her like ‘the reason you have such a tumultuous relationship with Batman is because of the lack of father-figures in your life.’ Like, at least Helena told the question he was full of shit when he tried to pull it this time. But seriously, do you have to bring it up in literally every Huntress run/mini we get?
And like, I have to acknowledge the fact that this is a consistent and core character trait for her and that if you ignore you do lose a lot of her canon character. But! I think it’s stupid. Girl! He’s not worth it! Not the least because Batman is a terrible father figure to latch onto!

Reading Fire and Blood made me realise how much Jon's admirations and preferences of what he likes in women is pretty general amongst Stark men.
Alaric:
Lord Alaric had lost his wife three years earlier. When the queen expressed regret that she had never had the pleasure of meeting Lady Stark, the northman said, “She was a Mormont of Bear Isle, and no lady by your lights, but she took an axe to a pack of wolves when she was twelve, killed two of them, and sewed a cloak from their skins. She gave me two strong sons as well, and a daughter as sweet to look upon as any of your southron ladies.”
...
Once the initial frost had thawed, his lordship took the queen hunting after elk and wild boar in the wolfswood, showed her the bones of a giant, and allowed her to rummage as she pleased through his modest castle library. (Jaehaerys and Alysanne—Their Triumphs and Tragedies, Fire and Blood)
Cregan:
Queen Alicent’s captors had slain her guards and were thus condemned to death, but an impassioned plea from Lady Baela herself spared her rescuers from a similar fate, though they too had bloodied their swords by cutting down the king’s men posted at her door. “Not even the tears of a dragon could melt the frozen heart of Cregan Stark, men said rightly,” Mushroom tells us, “but when Lady Baela brandished a sword and declared that she would cut off the hand of any man who sought to harm the men who had saved her, the Wolf of Winterfell smiled for all to see, and allowed that if her ladyship was so fond of these dogs, he would permit her to keep them.”
--
And Lord Cregan, a widower these past three years, had responded in kind. Though Black Aly was no man’s queen of love and beauty, her fearlessness, stubborn strength, and bawdy tongue struck a chord for the Lord of Winterfell, who soon began to seek out her company in hall and yard. “She smells of woodsmoke, not of flowers,” Stark told Lord Cerwyn, said to be his closest friend.
About Alysanne's description:
“A lean tall creature was this wench,” says the dwarf, “thin as a whip and flat-chested as a boy, but long of leg and strong of arm, with a mane of thick black curls that tumbled down past her waist when loosed.” Huntress, horse-breaker, and archer without peer, Black Aly had little of a woman’s softness about her. (Aftermath—The Hour of the Wolf, Fire and Blood)
And Jon:
Ygritte trotted beside Jon as he slowed his garron to a walk. She claimed to be three years older than him, though she stood half a foot shorter; however old she might be, the girl was a tough little thing. Stonesnake had called her a "spearwife" when they'd captured her in the Skirling Pass. She wasn't wed and her weapon of choice was a short curved bow of horn and weirwood, but "spearwife" fit her all the same. (Jon II, ASoS)
--
All the same, the wildling princess was not beloved of her gaolers. She scorned them all as "kneelers," and had thrice attempted to escape. When one man-at-arms grew careless in her presence she had snatched his dagger from its sheath and stabbed him in the neck. Another inch to the left and he might have died.
Lonely and lovely and lethal, Jon Snow reflected, and I might have had her. Her, and Winterfell, and my lord father's name. Instead he had chosen a black cloak and a wall of ice. Instead he had chosen honor. A bastard's sort of honor. (Jon III, ADwD)
--
Why not? thought Jon. They are all convinced she is a princess. Val looked the part and rode as if she had been born on horseback. A warrior princess, he decided, not some willowy creature who sits up in a tower, brushing her hair and waiting for some knight to rescue her. (Jon XI, ADwD)

Helena Bertinelli has had many a retcon to her origin over the years. Direct answers can be hard to find in characters that have been written many times by many different authors. To go over a general overview of post-crisis:
As you mention, her original introduction to post-crisis comics in The Huntress (1989) does have her being a young adult when her family was massacred. It also has her being based out of New York. While I quite like this series and origin for her, most of the series has been completely reconnected out of existence.
When she was re-introduced as a Bat comic supporting character in Detective Comics #652 and #653, she was retconned to be from Gotham instead of New York, though a number of elements of her original backstory, including the fact that she had been an adult when the massacre happened remained the same.
Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood, was a major retcon for her and lays out a whole new character history. If you want to build an AU timeline, you'll be just fine using that as a source. That origin introduced her being 8 when her family was massacred, the same age as Bruce, a retcon that has carried forward.
Huntress: Year One is another retelling of her origin, which is primarily building off of her origin in Cry for Blood, only expanding it more and digging into, well, her first year as the Huntress. She's still 8 here when she's orphaned. There are some changes to the timeline that are made. This also removes her taking influence from Batman to become a vigilante.
To answer some of your questions:
Pre-Cry for Blood
In Huntress '89, very soon after the massacre (probably no more than a week), she goes with her bodygaurd, tony, to be trained. It is unclear how long she spends training, but it likely isn't very long. She is not inspired by Batman to become a vigilante. She was kept largely separate from the family business as a child and primarily sets out as the Huntress to avenge her family's death. After that's done, she finds that she has trouble living a normal life and continues to help people, growing disillusioned with her father. She does not really crusade against the mob until she's reintroduced in Gotham comics. There it's implied to be a mixture of desire for personal revenge for what caused her family's death, familiarity, and personal distaste for what they do, from what I recall.
Cry for Blood
After her family is massacred, Helena spends 7 years living with the Asaros in Sicily. She is training under Sal from age 11-15. When she's 15, her uncle and cousin arrested and she goes to boarding school in Switzerland where she begins to understand the truth of the mafia and hate them. At 16, the Cassemotos bring her back to Gotham for Christmas, thinking it's safe which is when she sees Batman and is inspired. She then spends probably the next 4-6 years planning and preparing before she finally returns to Gotham to get her revenge and fight against the mob. (It isn't specifiied by she finished boarding school and enrolls in university in Palermo).
Huntress: Year One
The timeline is largely the same when it comes to the massacre and the Asaro's arrest. They were arrested about 5 years before her 21st birthday, placing her at 15-16. She then goes to school in switzerland before returning to Sicily. Unlike in Cry for Blood, Helena hates the mob from the start from the violence she has continually see them commit. From what I remember, university is never mentioned. She does not return to Gotham before becoming the Huntress, and comes up with the idea and costume separately. She also does not want to return to Gotham, but eventually needs to return to pursue her vengeance.
Conclusion:
I personally mix and match elements as I please when writing Helena's origin. If you want a single comic as a touch-point, I would just stick with Cry for Blood as it's the strongest in opinion. I think that's also the one people are more likely to know. You won't go wrong using that as your base, and filling in the gaps as needed.
I’m getting really into Helena Bertinelli for the first time while trying to make a Batman comics AU timeline involving her and… I’m SO confused about her backstory. Cry for Blood is my main source for her characterizion and story, and I understand that this timeline is a retcon of the previous one where she was nineteen instead of eight during her family’s massacre, but is Huntress: Year One the same timeline? Or are the original Huntress run, Year One and Cry for Blood all different versions of events?
Specifically, what exactly happened between her watching her family die and operating as the Huntress in Gotham? How long did she live in Sicily and Switzerland? How much time did she actually spend in Gotham to be inspired by Batman? ‘Cause it doesn’t seem like a lot. When were her uncle and cousin arrested? Why did they go back to Gotham at all after the massacre of their relatives? How did she go from being okay with the Mafia to its greatest enemy while raised by them? Or was that after the arrests, when she was on her own? Is there a good, logical, well-written canon consensus on these details or would I have better luck making something up myself?

Crisis on Infinite Earths Cameo review
So I’m not that into the Arrowverse, too soap opera, not enough gay dudes, doesn’t really include any of my favorite Superheroes. HOWEVER Crisis on Infinite Earths is one of my favorite comic stories and I’m a huge sucker for alternate universes and shit so I’m watching the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. So far not that great it’s clear the special effects are $14.99 on clearance and it’s mostly rehashing drama from shows I both don’t watch and don’t care about. BUT I’m here for the cameos so lets review those shall we?
Episode 1: Supergirl
Earth-66: Burt Ward as Dick Grayson
I’d say like a B+ it was cute, there was a catch phrase, I like numbering Earth’s after the year the Batman came out, it kinda broke down but whatever. I kinda wish it had been more, I mean Adam West and Burt Ward’s takes on Batman and Robin are iconic and still have ripples to this day. It would have been nice to maybe see Burt in his apartment with a framed Adam West picture in the background just to give West a nod
Earth-89: Robert Wuhl as Alexander Knox
D-, I like it being Earth-89 and the News paper was good, but picking a VERY minor side character from Batman 1989 that no one is gonna know, and I know like Jack Nicholson isn’t ever gonna appear on TV and Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito and Michelle Pfeiffer would all be more money than the CW has if they were even willing to do it, but like.... what’s Chris O'Donnell doing? nothing is my guess, why not, two Robins one episode.
Earth-9: Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall / Curran Walters as Jason Todd
F they just used unused footage from the Titans show and changed the coloring.
Episode 2: Batwoman
Earth-167: Tom Welling as Clark Kent
really A+ stuff, It brings us back to a character and show thats over and shows us the aftermath, reassures fans “look the show is over, this is the happily ever after lets leave them” I felt like it was a good way to show Smallville while having a satisfying answer for why this Clark isn’t gonna be joining us to save the universe. One quibble, why Earth-167? as far as I can tell it’s not related to anything Smallville
Earth-99: Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne
this was a very disappointing C-, it ended up being neither a tribute to Kingdom Come, or to Conroy’s years of work as Batman. This version of Bruce was neither the Kingdom Come Bruce or some version of the Animated Series Batman. I’m basically never here for “Batman goes crazy and evil and kills” particularly if he’s just killing heroes too, and also going full Nihilism is very much off brand for Bruce Wayne. finally what’s the point of dragging Conroy out and putting him in a goofy rig and then not using him for more than one episode? come on guys! you have THE! voice of Batman for the first time live actioning the role! I WANT A BAT SUIT! I want the Kingdom Come Armor! I don’t care if it looks like shit because it’s the CW it’ll be the only time I get to see it! come on!
Earth-96: Brandon Routh as Superman
B+ here, I think they managed a pretty good merger of the 2006 Superman movie with Superman’s story from Kingdom Come, I like Clark as editor of the Planet thats fun. I like that they’re taking him along, I felt like it was SUPER lame that all the heroes just happen to be the heroes we already know, so bring him in was nice, they should have done more (see Conroy above). I get that they’re doing that only because Routh was already on pay role. I was disappointed that they didn’t give a role to 2006 Superman’s son. He’s mentioned by name, but doesn’t appear. While Jason White is mostly forgotten (along with the 2006 movie in general) I would say he lead directly to Chris Kent later in 2006 who surely lead to Jon Kent now. Also the actor, Tristan Lake Leabu is still an actor, he was a soap star till leaving The Young and the Restless this year. Hire him! develop the character, but him on Legends when this is all over. I’m always here for new characters.
Episode 3: The Flash
Earth-203: Ashley Scott as Huntress
uh C+? I (like most people) have never seen the 2002 Birds of Prey TV show, so can’t really say how this feels to someone who did/likes that show. I will say it’s unclear what she’s running from/to, it’s unclear what Oracle is supposed to be doing, there was something about files, it would have been nice (and maybe it’ll still happen) if those were in someway important, like data that the main team needs. I’m sure the handful of fans the Birds have were just happy to be included.
Earth-666: Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar
A- it was cute, a nice way to slip in a popular character who doesn’t really go with this whole story. Ellis is always delightful as Lucifer and the Constantine fucked the devil jokes are worth every penny they spent to get him on set. That said he doesn’t really go with this big sci fi story and him being The Devil kinda draws out questions, some kind of explanation for why he doesn’t care if the world ends would be nice also how there can be a devil on one Earth, is there one on every earth or his be choosing one earth to be on?
Earth-???: Cress Williams as Black Lightning
B- It’s nice to see him, and I do hope when all this is over The CW merges Earth-1, Earth-38 and where ever Black Lightning is from into one world so mini crossovers are easy and the shows can reference each other and such. But he deserved more, he was just dumped into the middle of this story, his Earth didn’t get a name, his supporting characters didn’t show up and then died off screen. He deserved a bigger more drawn out crossover, they should have done one before this to set him up because it’s a disservice to him to set him up like this.
Earth-90: John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen
A I thought it was a nice send off to the character, I liked them using a clip from the 1990 TV show, I felt like that was really in fact touching, a tribute to a fail TV show, it was nice. Also a nice way to kill a Barry without killing The Barry, and so keep that plot point from Crisis but put their own twist on it and still make it emotional.
Cameos I’m bitter we’re not getting:
I already mentioned Chris O'Donnell and Tristan Lake Leabu. But Also if you’re gonna have a paragon of Truth, and you already had her on Supergirl, what the fuck is WRONG! with you that you don’t have Lynda Carter on to be Wonder Woman, COME ON GUYS WHAT THE FUCK! Likewise SOME nod to Gotham would have been nice, I get that likely wasn’t possible, Gotham only just ended on Fox so I’m guess Fox said no, but like wasn’t there a way to get David Mazouz to be walking down a street or something like that and not fully say it’s Gotham? you know? Likewise I know Mark Hamill is bust with Star Wars, but come on, him, live action Joker? you got Conroy. And doing two Supermen really breaks the rule of 3, was there no way to throw in Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher from Lois & Clark? Finally a few things that I don’t know what I would have wanted but I feel like they could have, 1) Shazam!/The Secrets of Isis idk some nod would be nice, 2) Helen Slater as Supergirl/woman like with Lynda Carter she’s been on the show before it would have been a nice nod. 3) some reference to the DCEU, I’m betting the WB would never ever allow it, and most of the stars would be way too much money, but like what are Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, or Ray Fisher doing? 4) a picture of Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder somewhere in the background somewhere, like with Adam West it would have been nice.

https://ift.tt/2RJepmT This is, by far, the biggest crossover the Arrow-verse has ever pulled off. Five hours of TV, an unfathomable number of DC Comics superheroes making appearances, and an entire multiverse facing destruction. Warning: The following contains spoilers for the first three hours of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. If you haven’t watched and don’t want to be spoiled, look away now. The first three hours alone are littered with Easter eggs and references to not only newly-discovered corners of the Arrow-verse, but old DC TV shows and movies, as well as nods to the comics that are responsible for all of these properties. There are so many, it would be easy to miss a handful of them. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about that. We’ve paid very close attention to all three hours of the crossover so far, documenting all of the Easter eggs for you. Take a look at them all below while you prepare for the final two episodes when they air January 14 on The CW. 1. What a headline The first thing we see in Crisis is a glimpse at Gotham City on Earth-89, otherwise known as the Gotham that Tim Burton’s Batman films exist in. Batman was released in 1989. Get it? It’s hard to see the date on this newspaper, but given that Joker (Jack Nicholson) died in the 1989 film, either this is the next day or that Gotham is being hassled by a successor to the original Joker. Either way, we want to know more. Interestingly, the Gotham City Gazette is not the newspaper featured in Batman (1989). In that film, it was the Gotham Globe. 2. Oh, hey Knox And who better to serve as an introduction to this version of Gotham than Alexander Knox, the journalist played by Robert Wuhl in that Batman film. 3. Meanwhile, on a streaming Earth After jumping to another Earth, we are greeted by Hawk (Alan Ritchson) from the DC Universe original series, Titans. His appearance wraps that show’s continuity into the larger Arrow-verse, even if we only see him briefly. 4. But that’s not all We also see a brief glimpse of Jason Todd (Curran Walters) in his Robin gear, as he and Hawk face down the destruction of their Earth. 5. And over on Earth-X We also catch a glimpse of The Ray (Russell Tovey), who was first introduced as a hero in the 2017 Arrow-verse crossover, Crisis on Earth-X. 6. Holy Robin, Batman We knew this cameo appearance was coming, given that it was teased at Comic-Con. Still, seeing Burt Ward–the original live-action Robin–appearing in the Arrow-verse is a special treat. He even has a typically outlandish Robin line, exclaiming, “Holy crimson skies of death!” 7. This technically counts as two Easter eggs Look, kids. It’s Wil Wheaton. The former Star Trek: The Next Generation star has done voice work in a number of DC animated shows and movies, but this is his first live-action appearance on a DC project. What’s more, the sign he’s carrying is a replica of one that appears in Superman II. 8. Superman does dirty diapers Our first glimpse as Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) as a Superdad is a funny one, in which he takes care of a super dirty diaper. Not only is this a nod to Superman being a dad in the comics, but it’s also a look at what the potential Superman and Lois Lane spin-off that’s being developed could be like. 9. Quantum towers are not pretty Yes, the quantum towers are pulled from the comics. They were constructed by the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) to slow down the progress of the quantum wave destroying the multiverse. 10. The next Green Arrow We know that Arrow is coming to an end and a female-centric spin-off is in the works. It looks like when all is said and done, Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) will be the next Green Arrow, based on the costume her dad had made for her. 11. Yet another Wells Tom Cavanagh rarely plays the same version of Harrison Wells for more than a season. This time, though, even that’s been cut down. His latest incarnation–Nash–has now become Pariah. In addition to the new name and fancy costume, this character–which also appeared in the Crisis comics–can travel between Earths to collect heroes. 12. The death of the Green Arrow Sure, Oliver’s only “kind of dead” when all is said and done, but the death of the Green Arrow is another story twist pulled from the pages of the Crisis comic book. In the miniseries, Earth-2’s Green Arrow–the Golden Age version of the hero–died during Crisis. 13. Luke Fox returns to his comic book roots On Batwoman, Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson) is essentially Kate Kane’s (Ruby Rose) nerdy Alfred. He’s portrayed a bit differently in the comics. On Earth-99, though, Luke resembles the version comics fans should recognize, as the nerdy persona is nowhere to be seen. 14. Batman’s gotten old While we see Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy) in an exosuit that definitely conjures images of the character’s appearance in Kingdom Come, that’s not who this particular Batman is. Instead, this Bruce takes a cue from The Dark Knight Returns, where Batman has turned cold and killed off several of his enemies. 15. The Death of Superman This quick glimpse at a TV recreates imagery from the Death of Superman comic. Thankfully, the Arrow-verse’s primary Superman is fine. 16. Hey Constantine Yes, John Constantine is a regular character on Legends of Tomorrow. However, he’s also a character that ties yet another DC show–the defunct Constantine on NBC–into the Arrow-verse. 17. Somebody save us Talk about a blast from the past. Tom Welling reprising his role of Clark Kent from Smallville was a special moment. Even more interesting was learning he gave up his powers to live a normal life with his wife Lois (Erica Durance) and their kids. 18. Speaking of Lois The Smallville-set scene also provided an appearance by Durance as Lois Lane. 19. Yet another Clark Kent Hey, he looks familiar. Not only does Brandon Routh star on Legends of Tomorrow, but he also played the Man of Steel once upon a time in Superman Returns. Thanks to Crisis, he gets to suit up as Clark Kent once more, but this time a different take on the character. 20. Anyway, about those people Batman killed Naturally, Bruce Wayne keeps trophies of the enemies he’s killed. The first we see is a Joker card. At long last, the Clown Prince of Crime finally got what was coming to him. 21. Two-for-one We then see a shot of Riddler’s cane and what looks like Mr. Freeze’s snow globe, meaning Batman has definitely killed them both off. 22. But not this We also see Clark Kent’s glasses as it’s revealed that Batman actually killed Superman on this Earth. 23. Lots more dead people Back on the Earth of Routh’s Clark Kent–which resembles the Kingdom Come storyline from the comics–we see all those the Man of Steel has lost, including Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, and his wife, Lois Lane. 24. Thanks to the Joker, of course Clark reveals that it was a psychopath from Gotham that played a “prank” on the Daily Planet because they weren’t writing about him enough. 25. And Kingdom Come Superman was born At that point, this Clark puts on his Superman costume, revealing the iconic Kingdom Come design that was previously teased. 26. Superman vs. Superman It’s not Batman v Superman. It’s actually better as Routh’s Superman, under Lex Luthor’s control, attempts to destroy Hoechlin’s Superman. 27. Another familiar face The Legends have plenty of experience with Jonah Hex, but not this version. Johnathon Schaech reprises his role in the Arrow-verse, playing another Earth’s Hex. 28. Another super baby We learn that Routh’s Superman either has or had a son named Jason. This is a nod to Superman Returns, where it’s hinted that the son of Lois Lane–Jason White–is actually Superman’s child. 29. Enter the Anti-Monitor At long last, we meet the Monitor’s arch-nemesis–the Anti-Monitor. It’s a terrible name and, yes, it’s pulled from the comics. 30. A true Bird of Prey It may have only lasted 13 episodes, but it’s exciting to see Ashley Scott reprise her Birds of Prey role as Huntress. Like most of the cameos, though, it ends quickly. 31. The All-Star Squadron Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) is justified in being blown away by seeing all of these superheroes assembled. The All-Star Squadron he mentions, though, is an actual team of superheroes. They were introduced in a 1981 issue of Justice League of America and have included a long list of different heroes over the years. 32. Who is Ryan Choi Believe it or not, Ryan Choi is a character in DC Comics mythology. In fact, as in Crisis, he’s a big fan of Ray Palmer in the comics. In addition to that, though, he also becomes the Atom in the comics. 33. The devil, you say Everyone’s crossing over this year. Even Lucifer (Tom Ellis), from Netflix’s Lucifer, made a quick appearance, pointing Constantine in the right direction to track down Oliver’s soul. 34. Welcome back, Barry John Wesley Shipp returned as the Flash from Earth-90–otherwise known as the Flash from the 1990 TV series. It’s always fun to see that old suit. 35. Black Lightning’s back For the first time, Black Lightning was officially acknowledged as part of the Arrow-verse. Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) arrived to help out the rest of the heroes and learned that his Earth was wiped out by the anti-matter wave. 36. Batwoman v Supergirl Thankfully, this didn’t turn into an actual fight. Still, seeing these two come face-to-face, ready to battle, was a special moment that hopefully gets explored in the future. 37. A nod to Gail Simone Ryan Choi was co-created by Gail Simone. With that in mind, it’s nice to hear the prolific writer get a small nod with Choi’s daughter being names Simone. 38. Flash vanishes in Crisis It’s been promised since The Flash first premiered on The CW. In the end, though, it wasn’t Earth-1’s Barry that was destroyed in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Instead, it was Earth-90’s. 39. Poor Tina Before his demise, though, Earth-90’s Barry flashed back to a moment with the woman he loved, Tina (Amanda Pays), from the original Flash series. 40. The Spectre While tracking down Oliver’s soul in purgatory, Constantine and company happen upon Jim Corrigan (Stephen Lobo), the Spectre. He wants Oliver to become a Spectre, rather than being resurrected. It’s interesting to note–which Constantine does–that this is not the Corrigan that John knows. On NBC’s Constantine, the role was played by Emmett J. Scanlan. 41. The Vanishing Point The place where our heroes are sent to is pulled right from the comics. The Vanishing Point exists in a dimension outside of the time/space continuum. 42. A Crisis reversal This shot of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Superman (Routh) puts an interesting spin on the cover of the Crisis on Infinite Earths comics. On the cover, Superman is holding a dead Supergirl. from GameSpot - All Content https://ift.tt/35oaAYl
