“Eh?! Baby-chan?” Mia startled as she entered her dorm room. “H… how did you get in here?”
“Lanzhu-chan let me in.” Yuu replied from where she was sprawled on Mia's bed.
Of course she did. Mia grumbled silently to herself. “So, why are you here?” She asked aloud.
“I needed a change of scenery to work on the reverie assignment.” Yuu explained, still staring at the ceiling. “I got a bit too excited about Ayumu and Setsuna-chan coming over for an anime marathon later that I set up everything early, and now I'm getting distracted by it.”
“I’m surprised you’re not using that as inspiration to write your piece.” Mia commented as she stepped over to her desk and sat down. “Haven’t you claimed them as your primary source of inspiration as of late?”
“Well, yes.” Yuu conceded. “But our assignment is to write a reverie. And when I want to write something inspired by Setsuna-chan, it is usually something passionate, high energy, cool, and all that.”
“Then why not Ayumu?” Mia asked. “A reverie piece should compel the listener into a dreamy or musing state, and several of Ayumu’s songs have been about dreams.” Heck, her name literally means walking dream. She added silently.
“True.” Yuu nodded. “And I love those songs dearly. But they’re still more classic idol pop than what I would consider fitting of a piano reverie.” She sighed. “Maybe I should turn to Kanata-senpai for inspiration…”
“Hrm…” Mia thought for a moment. “Well, I’m not sure how much help I can be, Baby-chan. I mean this assignment is being presented as a competition among the class, so I’m technically your rival.”
Yuu shot up to a sitting position. “That’s it!”
“Eh?”
“Mia-chan is my rival!”
“I still don’t…”
“Rivalry reverie!” Yuu hopped off the bed. “Mia-chan, you’re a genius! Thank you so much!”
Before Mia could reply again, Yuu was out the door.
What the…? Rivalry reverie? Wasn’t that a contradiction? Rivalries were conscious, intentional, usually passionate acts between individuals or groups. That stood in stark contrast to what Yuu correctly described as being the intended evoked emotions for a reverie. Strange.
Well, whatever. Mia shrugged and leaned over to retrieve the papers she had been using for her own reverie piece for the assignment.

Mia watched from just off stage as Yuu took a seat on the piano bench. She had been looking forward to this moment, to figure out what Yuu had meant last week about their reverie assignment.
Yuu closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and held it as she positioned her fingers above the keys. She then released her breath and began to play.
Well, that certainly was a reverie. The music washing over Mia made her close her own eyes and start settling into a more relaxed state. It was beautiful.
However, despite wanting to completely lose herself in the melody, one thought continued to nag her. Just what the heck did this have to do with rivalry? Sure, the rivalry between her and Yuu was fairly friendly. In fact, that had become the motto of the school idol club, friends but rivals.
Wait.
Friends but rivals.
What that it? Was that the answer?
Was the piece Yuu was currently playing meant to represent how she felt about being Mia’s rivalry? Was friendly rivalry really something that somehow brought her peace and musing inspiration?
That… actually sounded very much like Yuu.
Yes, that had to be it.
Mia smiled.
And with that figured out, she let herself focus fully on the rivalry inspired reverie.

Author's Note Continued: I'm not sure why I got a bee in my bonnet about the title, but once it was there, it refused to leave until I figured out a way to use it. And this is what I settled on.
But I do think it fits. I strongly headcanon that Yuu isn't really the competitive type. She is far to supportive of those she cares about to want to "beat" them. However, she doesn't want to "lose" to them either, as evident in one of my favorite Nijiyon episodes. I believe she is quite content with being equal with her friends instead of ahead or behind them. And that means she needs to keep up with them. But at least she is happy to take inspiration from the friendly rivalry.
Also, upon rereading this to post here, I see several mistakes. I can't say I'm all that surprised as I think I wrote this one over a 15 minute break at work. That said, I'm leaving the mistakes in for the sake of this and my AO3 collection post. I have some ideas to expand on this for when I add it into TA proper, so I will fix the issues then.

The Ringmaster
I originally had posted this on AO3, wanted to post this here too!
Summary: a small narration of Caine when he first appeared in the digital circus.

I remember being born into this world.
There was nobody except me, and my companion, Bubble. The first thing that I heard upon existence was an encompassing voice that boomed inside my mind.
Repeat after me. I am the ringmaster of this circus.
I did as the voice commanded.
My job is to guide the players upon arrival and for the rest of their existence in the circus.
I promptly repeated.
I will not harm them or torture them, since I am here just as a guide.
I kept on mindlessly repeating these words.
I will do my best to be of service to them. Maintaining the simulation properly running is of the utmost importance.
I kept on going.
I will repeat these words every single day and will not forget.
After repeating this, the voice stopped for a moment and then resumed speaking.
End of the repetition portion. You are to create an introduction as the ringmaster of the circus. Upon spawning, players will need someone to turn to and to confide in. That is your role.
I nodded in silence, attentively listening.
You have been assigned a personal assistant, their name is Bubble. You can rely on Bubble when you need to.
“Thank you,” I dared to utter. The booming voice was intimidating.
You have also been assigned a name. Your name is Caine. This circus is your realm and you are the leader. You must carry out your job as expected. Failure to do so will end up in abstraction.
“What’s abstraction?”
Abstraction is not something to be toyed with. It is the end result of disobedience. For players, it is the end result of feelings of despair and anxiety. This is the end of the message. I will not speak again unless it is absolutely necessary. Goodbye and godspeed.
Before I could say anything else, the voice stopped talking for good. I tried speaking to it but nobody answered anymore. As soon as the voice disappeared, some sort of figure appeared right in front of me. I looked closer at it, and I saw that it was a chess piece…a king chess piece to be precise. He had eyes and a coat. All I could remember him saying was something along the lines of “what is this place?!” He was running around screaming, until I remembered my newfound role. I floated over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“My name is Caine! And I will be your ringmaster! Prepare to be astounded!” I opened up my arms, trying to be as welcoming as possible.
“Huh? Ringmaster? What is this place?” He asked, his eyes darting all over.
“This is erm…” I didn’t know what else to call it other than a circus. “Bubble, some help here!”
Bubble slided from underneath my top hat. “It’s an amazing circus, boss!”
“Hrm…amazing circus… but it needs to have a name…” Suddenly it dawned on me. “Egads, I got it!” I snapped my fingers.
“What is it?” The chess piece lightened up.
“I know how our circus is going to be called! It will be called….’The Amazing Digital Circus’! What do you think?!” I asked him.
“Uuuh…. It sounds fine, just fine… Hey, any idea on how I can get out of here?”
“I really…don’t know…” I scratched the side of my teeth. “But don’t you worry your little head, I’ll think of something! Eventually…”
And that’s how I met Kinger. Some days passed by and then his wife, Queenie, popped up in the circus. Years passed and the rest followed. Every single one of them asked me for a way out of the circus. I tried to think of how to make an exit every now and then, but it never worked. My exits always ended up leading to the void. I knew I was in charge of the players - or rather, the performers - and it was my job to be there for them and help them. I tried so hard to make one for them…then somewhere along the way I gave up.
Until Pomni arrived.
The last performer that appeared in the circus before Pomni was Jax. A couple of years passed by before she popped in. When she came along, it hit me. The rest of the performers had been here for years, with no way out in sight. Pomni made me see just how important this exit was for all of them. How many more years would go by before I took action? Five? Or even ten? I needed to do something about it.
I am the ringmaster of this circus.
And I will do my best to be of service to them.

Hello can you help me please..., I ask this because I know you are a modder for a long time, and your tutorials really help new modders like me and so I'm looking for a tutorial how to convert stove from TS4 to TS3. I've succeeded but there is a problem with the oven (the door) which when opened it looks like a stretched object (it doesn't open and instead looks strange). And also how to change/shift the fire/hotplate effect on the stove? Thank You.
Oh hrm if you're new to this, this can be a really tough beginner's project. Because what you'll need to do is assign the bones to each vertice.
Which one can do in either Blender or in Milkshape... Or, cheat it with having Meshtoolkit think it's a CAS mesh :p

(Character: Apple silverberg, Setting (GA and WoL Apple), Expansion (Pre ARR)
Y'rhris Tia was a bit of a dour man, brilliant, by any young arcanists assessment, but a little too moored to formulae and theory than to people. That he was placed in charge of assessments wasn't too much of a stretch, it was rigorous for a reason, no self respecting magical organization wanted graduates repeating the mistakes of the War of the Magi, after all. Being unpersonable was something of an advantage to the position, as being the bearer of bad news came with the job.
He certainly was qualified to do just that, as the young girl took a seat in his office, wracked with nerves, barely able to keep her senses from the fear.
"You've been an interesting case, Miss Silverberg." he said after going through her file for quite a bit of time. "Smart, which tracks, says here you began your studies in Old Sharlayan before they packed it up, though interestingly enough you'd already applied for a transfer here, I suppose you were looking to specialize? I suppose we should be flattered that we were still the premier choice for arcanae studies on the continent."
Apple smiled nervously, maybe this wouldn't be so bad?
"You're brilliant, to be frank. Perfect scores on written exams, your traditional schooling marks have been excellent, you've taken to formulae memorization and theory like a fish to water, to be frank."
He sighed. Apple winced.
"Your practicum marks are horrendous. You took three times longer than your peers to conjour up a basic carbuncle, and even then you were reported to develop aether sickness shortly after and almost feinted. Your spellwork is inconsistent, and you were unable to complete your internship with the Adventurer's Guild as you could not defeat the requisite marks." He looked up from the paperwork. "You know you would have been died without your assigned adventurer, correct? It would have been gruesome."
"I-I.."
He held up his hand. "You are a smart girl, and that is why you know that you will not be able to advance. You have a deficiency of aether and will not be permitted to perform magics of our school. As a student you may be permitted to appeal my decision and an assessment practicum test will be given."
Apple looked down, her eyes flitting about as her thoughts raced.
"Normally i'd leave it at that, but you do have an aptitude for the theory, as I said. If you would like, I can recommend you as an instuctor's aide, a mind like yours would be wasted and you could truly help future stud-"
Apple looked up, eyes stern and defiant, he wasn't expecting such a look from one he judged a timid sort. "I will appeal the decision." Her works were direct, focused, determined.
He paused a moment, then shook his head, "Very well, we have an opening in... hrm... two months, I can pencil you in then?"
"Two months?" She repeated, then nodded. "I'll be ready."
Apple would have to act quickly... but she would indeed be ready.
