I just found out that many peopel believe that ambrosius aurelianus, a historical figure in 5th center Wales, inspired the characters of both Arthur AND Merlin.

Literally two sides of the same coin I can’t fucking deal with this

I am linking Wikipedia simply because it compiles a lot of different interpretations of Ambrosius nicely, but obiously check their references on specific sections, etc etc.
