"Hey, shouldn't I be saying that to you?", Bonbon tries to jest, a hopeless little attempt, but one he still performs with a smile.

Bonbon was normally the mediator in tense situations, the comforter, the soother. The one who offered words of logic, wisdom, solace. It was his role, his very purpose, and it was one he took genuine pride in. Though Bonbon wasn't invincible, of course, privy to moments of anger and sorrow just like anybody else, but those moments were so few and far in-between that it was jarring to be the one on the receiving end of comfort.

Like tonight, when the darkness of the breaker room suffocates him, washes over him like a thick, smothering wave, and Freddy's the one soothing him -- it almost feels like Bonbon's failed him. He hadn't wanted to let his discomfort show, but apparently he'd failed that as well.

Swivelling from his place atop Freddy's arm, Bonbon lays a paw on the bear's cheek. "Together does sound nice though, doesn't it? Let's do that. You're what gets me through the night, after all!" Might as well go for brutal honesty.
