Even if having Nene end things between them is what they want, let them decide. Let them go to her and ask that of her. It's not up to you nor he to make that choice for them.

But, as I see it, someone over there.. is afraid things might go wrong with No.7 and his yorishiro.. and is doing that as a 'just in case' plan. Someone doesn't care for No.6's feelings, No.6's yorishiro's feelings,  No,7's feelings, No.7's yorishiro's feelings or Nene's feelings. All that person cares about is: her own needs. Whatever methods or lies that will lead her to what she wants... she won't hesitate to use it.
