I’m still figuring out the physical equivalent of sanitization here — I know it’s a side effect of some Animus Tomfoolery, but not the actual effects themselves — but I was thinking it’d show up as something called scalerot. Scales slowly start turning green across the body, losing feeling as they do so (but not actually rotting, that’s just in the name). It’s associated with memory loss, but doesn’t actually cause it; both are side effects of... something that an animus is pulling.

Wanderer has long since lost all their memories (including what their name originally was — spoiler, it was Sincerity). They somehow escaped the animus’ clutches, but. Well. They don’t exactly remember how WHOOPS..... now they spend their time trying to find others falling to their mysterious curse and help them before it’s too late.

Amaranth is one such person! I don’t know exactly how the animus is gonna work here, but she falls to their plot until Wanderer comes and pulls her out with a loophole in the magic. They then run into Viridian, who explains their plan to destroy the animus. Hopefully they can do it before the scalerot completely consumes both Wanderer and Amaranth,,,,,,,,,
