“It’s only a year.”
Spencer Reid was sure those were the worst words he’d ever heard anyone say. They cut through him like a knife, marring his already scarred heart. You said only a year, but all Spencer heard was that it would be 365 days without you—525,600 minutes without getting to hear your voice or see your joyous smile. There would be 3,714 miles between you where before he’d gotten to see you nearly every day.
It may have only been a year to you, but to Spencer it felt a little more like a prison sentence.
“I know, only a year,” Spencer answered, feigning a smile and complete excitement for you—because truly, he could not be more happy for you. This was the kind of job opportunity that only came around once in a lifetime; when Emily had offered you a year’s work with Interpol, he knew immediately that you had to take it. Still, the thought of letting his best friend go seemed impossible to bear. “I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll miss you too, Pen,” you told him, opening your arms to invite him in for a hug. Spencer didn’t always take these offers, but there’s no way he’d refuse now. Your hugs were a comfort and your arms his home—sometimes it felt like being right here, in your arms, was where he was meant to be all along. “You’ll have to write to me, okay? Keep me up on what’s going on around here.”
“I’ll write you a letter every month,” he promised, already calculating in his head how long it would take for a letter to arrive by post.
“You better.” It was here you showed the first signs of being as upset as Spencer feltyour lower lip quivered and your voice cracked around the last word. Your expression never cracked though, still showing off that radiant smile he would come to miss. “I’ll see you in a year, Spencer.”
“I’ll see you in a year.”

DECEMBER
Dear Sunshine,
How are you enjoying London? I assume by now you’ve gotten settled in your new apartment and the new job. I know you can’t tell me a lot about the job so all I ask is that you tell me you’re being safe. Interpol isn’t quite like the FBI, is it?
It’s barely been a week since you left, but the team already feels different without you. I’ve caught Morgan multiple times going to tell you a joke and trying not to look too disappointed at your empty desk. When you get back there will be a lot of jokes to make up for, I think. JJ says she misses you and that if everything lines up okay, she’d like to take a week to come visit with Henry. I can’t imagine how much fun that would be, showing him around London.
I miss you. I can’t wait to hear all about how much you’re enjoying London. Penelope said she sent over a short list of the best sights to see before you start working, although I wonder what counts as short in this case.
I’ll talk to you soon,
Spencer
-
Dear Moonbeam,
You’re gonna worry this whole time, aren’t you? For the record, I am being safe because I happen to want to make it back to Quantico in a year. The people here seem okay, but they’re not the team. They’re so serious, which makes sense because they’re Interpol. Emily gets along with them all though, so maybe they just need to warm up to me or something.
It’s so dreary here in London, Pen. I think it’s rained or snowed nearly every day I’ve been here and I’m not certain the sun actually makes it up this way. It’s so busy here compared to Virginia, but I guess I’ll get used to that eventually.
Tell the team I said hello. I miss getting morning coffee with Penelope and I constantly look over for Morgan when I tell a joke too. JJ is always welcome and I’d love to have little Henry here. I think he’d really love seeing the Eye, though maybe JJ wouldn’t love that. You could come, too, you know, I’d love to see you.
Emily and I spent Christmas together, of course. I got to meet her new partner and though we tried cooking, it didn’t work out so well. We ended up scouring the city for a place open on Christmas and ended up at a pub. Fish and chips for a Christmas meal isn’t too bad. Just so you don’t forget what I look like, I’ve enclosed some pictures of that night.
Miss you already,
Y/N

JANUARY
Dear Sunshine,
Happy new year! I loved the pictures of you and Emily on Christmas, I’m so glad you had someone to celebrate with. Although, I’ll be honest I missed our usual cheesy Christmas movie marathon (even if I didn’t particularly miss the movie options). This year I went over to Penelope’s and we made cookies all night. Her brother was supposed to come in for the holiday but a snowstorm cancelled all flights into the area, so we made our own fun.
Speaking of Penelope, she’s organizing our first team dinner since you left. She said new years should count as a missed holiday meal, which I’d argue that people really don’t have meals for the holiday so much as they drink, but what Penelope says goes.
Your temporary replacement started this month, too. Her name is Ashley Seaver and she’s a training agent. She seems nice enough, but obviously has a lot to learn. Rossi has a lot of faith in her so I will too. Do you remember when I joined the team? Gideon would always pair us together, it was like he always knew we’d be in l best friends. I hope you have good teammates there in London, though maybe not better than us.
Have a good month,
Spencer
-
Dear Moonbeam,
I can’t believe it’s a new year already! Christmas with Penelope sounds absolutely wonderful. I petition for next Christmas to be spent with her and her brother, too.
You’re replacing me already? I’m kidding, I know it was necessary. Don’t be too hard on Seaver because she’s not me, alright? I’m sure she’s a wonderful agent. I do also happen to remember when you joined the team. Gideon was being a little obvious about it, wasn’t he? That man is a genius so he had to know what he was doing. I’ll say I don’t mind the meddling so much though, I’m glad he forced us to talk so much.
It’s a little lonely here in London. Everyone is kind and has been welcoming, but they’re just not you all. Although, I did hear a couple other agents talking about how I bought this job from Emily. I hope they don’t think I didn’t deserve to be here.
Don’t miss me too much,
Y/N

FEBRUARY
Dear Sunshine,
I know JJ told you what happened. It will never make it okay, but at least it was quick so she didn’t have to suffer. Sometimes I think this is how it’s meant to be, you know? When I was with Maeve, I made mistakes. I didn’t catch onto connections as quickly as I would alone. I was distracted, and that hurt the team as a result.
It’s better this way, really.
Spencer
-
Dear Spencer,
Spencer, please talk to me. If you don’t answer your phone after you get this letter, I will be flying home. Why didn’t you tell me anyone about Maeve? You know we would’ve loved her.
I’m sorry you’re hurting, Spencer, but you can’t just shut everyone out. At least talk to Penelope or JJ if you won’t talk to me. I mean it, if JJ has to call me one more time you’ll be hearing from me. Remember I still have that key to your apartment, I’m not afraid to use it.
I love you,
Y/N

MARCH
Sunshine,
I’m sorry. I’m glad Emily talked you out of flying home for me. It wasn’t my intention to worry you, I was in a worse place than I thought at the time.
Are you getting more used to the rain? I know you said it was too dreary for your liking, but there’s something so soothing about rain. No thunder or lightning, just the gentle sounds of raindrops on your window. Days feel calmer when it rains, more manageable.
Maybe I’d like it in London.
Emily said you got recognized by your superior there! I know you never believed me, but you really are one of the best profilers I’ve met. That’s wonderful someone finally recognized how talented you are there. I know you’ve been struggling, but it will all be worth it. You’re three months in now, you’ve gotten settled and now you can really shine. I believe in you.
Yours truly,
Spencer
-
To Moonbeam,
Don’t ever apologize for your grief, Spencer. I was worried about you, of course, but I’m just glad you’re doing better. Don’t shut out all of those feelings though, okay? Promise me. You need to feel that hurt to move on.
You know what, the rain is growing on me. It’s soothing in a way I wasn’t expecting. It doesn’t often thunderstorm so much as it just rains, and I’ve come to love it. I think you’d really like London, you really should come visit sometime.
I did! I don’t believe you because there’s a whole team of the best profilers in the world. I’m young, I could still learn from our team when I get back in November. The people here are finally starting to take me seriously. I was worried they never would, but after that takedown I earned a lot of respect in their eyes. I’m really proud of myself, the days spent in the hospital and the new bullethole scar were totally worth it.
Until April,
Y/N

APRIL
Sunshine,
I know what you’re going to say so I’ll preface this by saying we’re all fine. Someone has been stalking the team for months now, and they’re getting closer. We’ve been trying to find them but there’s just nothing to profile. It’s been so frustrating and on top of that Strauss doesn’t want us to abandon any cases to focus on this, even though this person seems to know everything about us. The only reason I bring this up is to make sure you know about it. I doubt they would come after you and Emily while you’re outside of the US, but just in case.
And what about you? When I got your letter, I almost got on the first plane to London. It was Hotch who told me to wait, that if you were hurt badly that you would tell me. Still, maybe next time lead with the fact that you’re okay now when you tell me you got shot on the job. I can’t lose you, you’re too important.
I reorganized the apartment last week. Remember saying that the window seat would make the perfect reading nook? You were right, as always. It feels a lot more cozy now and a lot less cluttered—I took your advice and donated a few books I hadn’t read in years so others could enjoy them the way I once had. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Getting to share stories with perfect strangers, having this connection in the form of a story you both loved even though you two would likely never meet. They’ll have my handwriting and my thoughts in those books. A couple of them you had borrowed, so they’ll have your handwriting intertwined with mine too. What will they think of us, do you wonder?
Until next time,
Spencer
-
Moonbeam,
I’m important, huh? Is that why you still haven’t visited me? I’m kidding, although Emily did say you needed to visit because she misses you too, and that’s two versus one. But I promise there’s no need to worry. It was in and out, even the doc said I’d be fine in no-time. And guess what? I’m already back at work so there.
And how about you? Coming in here talking about a stalker you can’t catch. That sounds pretty terrifying to me. I trust you guys though so I know you won’t do anything reckless to catch him. You better not, anyway.
Spencer, have I ever told you how wondrous you are? No one else would find so much beauty in secondhand books. I love that about you, you know. I’m glad the nook is working out (I was totally right, by the way). If you love secondhand books so much, I’ll have to take you to this bookstore I found in London. It’s run by this old woman who looks like she’s two-hundred years old, and she is the sweetest person ever. All of the books there are secondhand and most have writing in them. And you know what, you might be right about that. Now I’m going to read these books and wonder about the lives of the people who’d read them before me, so thanks for that one.
Closing statement time, if you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I think I’d have to pick London, I’m really loving it here.
Much love,
Y/N

MAY
Sunshine,
You’re right, if I ever come to London you absolutely need to take me to that bookshop. It sounds picturesque, a perfect place to spend all afternoon exploring.
I’m happy you love London so much. You seemed so lonely a couple months ago, I was worried for you. Tell Emily I said hello too, and that she could also come visit Virginia if she wanted to see me so badly. Everyone else would be happy to see her again, too.
If I could live anywhere, where would I go? Sunshine, you know I would realistically pick here. My entire life is in Quantico, I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. Theoretically, though, if I could move this job anywhere, I think I’d like to see London with you.
I could be happy there.
Spencer
-
To My Moonbeam,
I’m absolutely right, because I’m always right. You should keep that in mind a little more. I think it’s interesting you picked London when you’ve been dragging your feet on visiting. Don’t think JJ hasn’t told me all of your lame excuses, sir.
How about that Alex Blake? When were you going to tell me you’ve become such good friends with her? I know how excited you were when she joined the team after Emily, she really is remarkable. Do you think you would ever ask her out?
I do love London, and I love this job. It does get pretty tough though. I’ll spare you the details, but I had a rough case this month dealing with some young girls. It’s hit me harder than most cases do, so I’ve been a little worse-for-wear lately. I think Emily and a few others are taking me out for drinks soon though, so I’ll keep you posted.
I miss you,
Y/N

JUNE
My Sunshine,
You know what, I’m not going to admit you’re right anymore. I think that might risk inflating your ego just a little too much if I really say it :)
Yes, Alex Blake is remarkable, you knew that. I think I get what you’re implying though and I have to say that no, I don’t think of her that way. She’s been a mentor to me through this year which is absolutely remarkable of her.
I’m sorry you had such a tough case. You’re right that Interpol does take those sorts of cases often, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a right to feel upset. They’re tough for a reason, and if I’ve learned anything at the BAU it’s that ignoring the pain is far more dangerous than allowing it to be felt. I may be 3,000 miles away from you, but know that I’m here for you whenever you need me, always, no matter what.
Say the word, and I’ll brave a plane for you.
Spencer
-
My Moonbeam,
Why not? Alex is so lovely, I think she’d be a good match for you. But fine, if you don’t want my expertise then you don’t have to take it. And how about you not giving me any real updates last letter? Come on, I want to hear about you! If you won’t tell me, I’ll just ask JJ when she comes up with Henry next week ;)
As for me, I actually have a big update. I was offered a promotion to run a team here in London. It would be a permanent position if I wanted to take it. He said it was an easy decision to pick me for the opening, and damn did that feel good. After trying so hard to fit in here, it really feels like everything is locking into place. I mean, could you imagine me, a real Interpol agent? That’s the stuff of dreams, Spencer.
Tell everyone I said hello,
Y/N

JULY
My Sunshine,
Congratulations! I know how much you wanted that promotion. Does that mean you’re really considering staying in London permanently?
That’s absolutely amazing, Sunshine, I’m so proud of you. See? You were so worried about fitting in at Interpol, but everyone here knew you would be wonderful. You were perfect for that job, anyone could see that. I’m sorry they thought you got the job easy from Emily at the start, but you proved them wrong. Of course, you did.
Me? There’s not too many updates to give. The team is still doing great, though everyone misses you terribly. Henry could not stop talking about London for the entire month since being back, he really loved his time spent with you. I think he’s bound to make his entire class jealous when they ask how his summer was. Have fun with Penelope, I can’t tell if she’s more excited than Henry was to come visit.
Let me know about that job offer. If you’re thinking about staying in London indefinitely then I want to come visit.
Spencer
-
My Moonbeam,
Oh, Henry was such a sweetheart on that trip. I’m so glad he enjoyed it, and you let JJ and Will know they’re welcome back up here whenever they want. Penelope’s up next, and I cannot wait to see her. I’ve missed her bright self so much. She better be excited, because I’ve been talking about how excited I am all week. I’m sure the others are so annoyed with me by now, but come on, it’s Penelope Garcia.
It’s not official yet, but I think I’m going to take the job. It would mean I would stay here in London, yes. I know I would miss you all, but I can’t just put my life on hold for friends, you know? I could be really happy here, and you all could visit whenever you wanted.
Why, is there a reason I shouldn’t?
Please get some sun this summer,
Y/N

AUGUST
My Sunshine,
I know it’s wrong of me to tell you this right before you’re set to accept that job, but I can’t lose you without you knowing everything.
I love you. We’ve said that before, and I know I’m not standing in front of you saying this now, but please know I mean it. I love you, Sunshine, in a way I’m not sure I’ve ever loved anyone else before. You’re radiant, and brilliant, and so deserving of all the great things coming your way. You’ve been my best friend for years and I think all that time, I knew there was something special about you. I didn’t fully realize until now, but you’re the one that I want to be with. I want to be the one you keep, I want you to spend rainy days with me in the little reading nook that exists because of you. I want to wake up in the morning and know you’re right there beside me.
I want to experience life with you, Sunshine.
And I’m being selfish right now because I’m asking you to come home at the end of the year. I can’t imagine life without you here. I understand if you don’t feel the same way, and I understand if you choose to stay in London. Just know I’ll be your friend no matter what you decide.
I’m always here for you, no matter what.
Spencer

MAY
Spencer fell into a routine that didn’t include you.
He woke up every morning in his own apartment and got ready for the day far earlier than he needed to so he could write two letters. One to his mom, who expected to hear from him every week though rarely felt comfortable enough with the phone system to answer a call. Then, on the first of every new month, he would write to you. He’d tell you about the previous month, and he’d tell you about the team. Sometimes he’d throw in a story about a date set up by Derek (though he never actually went on those).
It wasn’t the same, but this was reality now so Spencer would find his joy in it.
The way to the office was the same as it always was, too. He stepped on the metro and carefully picked out the least populated corner to stand in, gripping tight to the bar to stay upright. He smiled and waved to agents he knew on his way inside the building. He stopped to say good morning to Penelope before making his way to the main BAU floor.
Spencer walked up to his desk, and there it was: the change.
A letter in a lilac purple envelope sat waiting for him. He knew the careful looping handwriting anywhere—this was a letter from you. Normally when you wrote back, you sent them to his apartment. Even stranger, there were no stamps or any addresses, just a simple “spencer ♥” written on the front. With shaking hands, Spencer carefully pulled open the envelope and read as fast as he possibly could.
To My Moonbeam,
There are some things that cannot be put into simple words on paper. Turn around :)
What? With a racing heart, Spencer set down the note and dutifully turned around. There, standing with a small stack of books in hand, was a person he thought he’d never see in this office again. You were already crying, smile quivering as you held yourself together.
“What are you doing here?” Spencer asked, brain trying to catch up to what his eyes were seeing. It didn’t fully make sense—you were supposed to be in London. It was the middle of the week, didn’t you have work?
“I thought it was time to come home,” you answered, finally stepping closer to him. “I didn’t know how you felt about flowers so I got you a couple books from that bookstore I told you about.”
That was the moment he felt your touch for the first time in a year and a half. Your fingers brushed his and it was like Spencer finally understood what home was—it was you. It was your gentle smile and your bright laugh, the one you used when you were so comfortable you didn’t care what it sounded like. It was in nights spent talking about anything with you and days spent trying to see how many times you could make each other laugh. You were home.
“I—are you here to visit?”
“Spencer, I realized I wanted to experience life with you too.” He was dreaming, Spencer was sure of it. There was no way you were standing before him now, saying exactly what he’d wished you’d said in August. “I love you so much, and I’m sorry it took so long for me to realize that.”
“You’re here, that’s all that matters.”
And the books were left with care on the desk in favor of wrapping his arms around you. After nearly two years apart, Spencer pressed his lips to yours
and he was home.

Easy Love
Tumblr media
AN: Hello!! Y’all are really loving the first Spencer Reid fic, so I figured I could write another one! I really hope you enjoy it!! This is my first smut so please be nice lmao
Summary: The BAU team decides to go bowling after a long work week. However, Y/N and Spencer get a little competitive.
Warnings: swearing, drinking, straight filth of smut, choking, daddy kink, fingering, oral, and lots of fluff!
Song: Easy Love by Lauv
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bowling night was not something that the team did regularly, but when it happened, everyone got super into the game. The planning of it all came from a super stressful case, on the jet home the team would make plans to bowl and would set a time for the event. Teams were made between the team captains, which varied every time they went. Today, it was Spencer and Y/N.
Y/N was more than excited to be going against Spencer. The two had always been on the same team on bowling night, so Y/N believed it would be interesting to see where the night takes them.
“You ready to get ya ass handed to you pretty boy?” Derek asked as he sat down next to JJ.
“Please, do you remember the last time we went bowling? We completely smoked you guys.” Spencer stated, smiling over to his best friend.
“I don’t know there, Spence. I’m pretty confident we’ll win. My line up is pretty damn good if I say so myself.” Y/N giggled.
Spencer smiled at her. The two had been secretly dating for about 6 months now. No one on the team suspected anything, however they thought they’d be a cute couple. Comments were made every day around the office since Y/N had started, which eventually led to a small crush on the incredibly handsome Doctor. It wasn’t long until he finally asked her out. She did ask that they kept it on the down low for professional reasons. Spencer was more than okay with keeping their relationship private, as long as he was with her, he was happy regardless.
“What time are we meeting up?” JJ asked.
“I believe Hotch said 8:30.″ Emily said whilst stretching her arms out.
Y/N’s phone beeped. A text from Spencer came through as she unlocked the device. It read:
Spence 💕: How about we make tonight a little interesting yeah?
Y/N smirked as she replied.
And how shall we do that, my love?
Her phone went off again.
Spence 💕: If you win, I will make dinner for a month. Now if I win, you have to let me taste you whenever I so desire. Daddy’s been a little hungry lately ;)
Y/N blushed and glanced at the Doctor sitting next to her. His lips held a smirk as his eyes stayed put on the phone screen. She bit her lip as she began typing, making sure no one else could see the messages being sent.
Oh you are so on Reid. I’ll warn you, I am a master bowler. I hope you like spaghetti :p
Spence 💕: I’d make sure your lungs are set too darling, daddy is going to have you screaming tonight ;p ;)
Y/N clenched her thighs together with anticipation as the plane landed. Once the aircraft came to a complete halt, the team exited and began to head into the FBI headquarters in Quantico. They entered the Bullpen and headed to their separate desks to file reports on the case. Derek plopped next to Y/N.
“You ready to kick some pretty boy ass tonight?” He chuckled
“You know it! He’s got no idea what’s coming to him.” Y/N said, submitting her reports to Hotch.
Hotch chuckled at the playful banter. As soon as the team turned in their reports, they all made their ways home to get ready for bowling night. When they got home, Spencer pinned Y/N to the door and slammed his lips into hers.
She had gotten used to this behavior since he got out of prison. He was a completely different man. The first few weeks were hard, with his over excitement to be home and the horrific memories that followed him as he left, Spencer barely slept. He’d have nightmares of what pain he endured. His quiet sobs and sniffles would wake Y/N, having her comfort him back to sleep with cooes and sweet kisses. Spencer eventually went back to normal in a different sense. He still spewed out interesting facts here and there but there wasn’t as many. He smiled again, but it was never for long.
The sex was different as well. Before he was arrested, Spencer was gentle and delicate when they made love. These days, he was rough and almost animalistic. Y/N didn’t mind in the slightest. It was an adjustment to say the least. She wasn’t sure if it was the lack of sexual contact or the fact that he just missed her that caused the sudden change in their sexual relationship, however she went along knowing that they both needed it.
His lips moved down to her neck. Their breathing becoming erratic as she tangled her fingers in his growing locks. Spencer started biting and sucking around her collar bone, leaving love marks around her neck. Y/N moaned softly in his ear, sending Spencer into a frenzy.
“You like that darling?” He whispered, dragging his hands down her body.
“Yes daddy.” Y/N moaned.
He quickly moved away from her and walked into the bedroom. Y/N was left dumbfounded and extremely aroused. She followed him to their shared bedroom to see what his antics were leading towards, only to find Spencer in a yellow and black bowling shirt and his gold framed glasses.
“You should be getting ready, Y/N. We have to be somewhere soon.” Spencer said as he smirked.
Y/N sighed and began taking her work clothes off. Spencer watched as the love of his life stripped away her shirt and slacks, leaving her in a Calvin Klein thong and black lace bra. His stride carried him over to her as she turned around. Y/N crashed her lips into Spencer’s. He carried her to the bed and plopped her down, scooting her closer to the headboard. Y/N clung onto Spencer’s neck as he returned his lips to her’s. She could feel the growing bulge in his jeans when she brought her hand to his pelvis. Spencer groaned at the newfound contact and began to grind on Y/N.
Spencer’s phone rang and Y/N almost yelled at the little device. He chuckled and answered the phone while he brought his hand to her folds. Y/N gasped as Spencer played with her entrance. She moaned at the new feeling of his fingers slowly slipping inside of her. Spencer smirked as he pumped in and out of her dripping pussy.
“Hey Morgan. Yeah we’ll be on our way soon. Yeah, no, we’re okay. Just have some things to take care of. Alright, we’ll see you all there.” Spencer hung up and placed the phone on the night stand.
He stood in his place and smirked at Y/N. The sight was beautiful. Y/N was laid out on their shared bed, her legs spread wide with his slender fingers still working their magic in her. She had her back slightly arched as she moaned and panted softly at the contact that the doctor was giving her. He thought she looked so pretty in this state, so vulnerable to his touch.
“Get ready, Princess. Everyone is waiting for us.” Spencer whispered.
Y/N groaned as she tried grinding her hips against his fingers, but to her demise, his fingers exited her core, leaving her with an empty feeling. She got up and began to get dressed, not looking at Spencer the entire time.
She had a love/hate relationship with Spencer’s teasing. During their normal escapades, Y/N loved the teasing. She raveled in it. However, times like this are when she just wants to have her insides turned to mush by the man standing next to her.
Spencer chuckled and went into the kitchen. Once Y/N was ready, she made her way into the living room to grab her purse. As she passed Spencer to leave the apartment, Spencer slapped Y/N’s ass. She gasped at the action and turned to face him, but Spencer had her pinned to the wall in mere seconds. Y/N was taken aback by him doing this but she wasn’t the slightest bit upset with it. The aching between her legs yearned for Spencer. She pushed her pelvis against his and Spencer groaned.
“Wanna make tonight even more interesting?” He asked, ghosting his lips on the shell of her ear.
“How do you propose we do so my love?” Y/N panted.
“I get to tease you all throughout the night. No questions asked. You listen to everything I say as well. Remember, just because we are on opposing teams doesn’t mean you have the free reign to do whatever. I’m still in charge.” Spencer says darkly.
Y/N clenched her thighs together and simply nodded. Spencer smirked and released her, walking over to the elevator. Y/N fixed her outfit and skipped over to her boyfriend.
Once they exited the elevator and hopped in the car, Y/N’s phone went off. Emily was giving her a call from the bowling alley.
“Hey Em!” She answered.
“Hey! Where are you guys? We’re all here and drinks have already been poured. Not to mention all the smack talk from Morgan and JJ.” Emily chuckled.
“We should be there soon. Got caught up in something but it shouldn’t be much longer.” Y/N said as Spencer rubbed her leg.
She could feel Emily’s smirk through the phone as she wish them safe travels and hung up the phone. Spencer pulled into the parking lot and shut the car off. Y/N went to open the door before Spencer pulled her into a very passionate kiss.
It was the kinds of kisses that you give after not seeing someone for a long time. The kisses that the two shared the day Spencer came home from prison. The fireworks between the two were clear as day. With every movement of their lips, the couple felt flames between them. Spencer pulled away and looked at Y/N. He smiled and pecked her lips gently. All Y/N could do was smile.
The two exited the car and walked into the bowling alley hand in hand. The rest of the team had already started the game. They cheered when they saw Spencer and Y/N show up. The two gathered their shoes and bowling balls and jumped right on in.
About half way through the first game, Spencer started to get antsy due to his team’s losing streak. Spencer has never lost a game before so his tension was almost justifiable. He thought this would be the perfect opportunity to play with Y/N a little. She had glanced up to smile at Spencer, only to see him slipping the two fingers he had inside her only an hour and a half prior into his mouth.
The sight was a beautiful one to say the least. The dampness between her thighs came back as she crossed her legs. Y/N looked around to see if anyone was paying attention to their sexual build up game and thankfully no one was. Spencer licked his fingers again, nodding to the bathroom. Y/N excused herself from the game and headed to the family restroom at the back of the bowling alley. Spencer followed her a few minutes afterwards to look less suspicious.
A knock came from the door and Y/N opened to find Spencer waiting with his hands in his pockets. The two looked around to make sure no one saw them as Spencer entered the bathroom.
As soon as they closed the door, Spencer pinned Y/N to the door and slammed his lips to hers. She kissed back with just as much passion, tangling her fingers through his long, curly hair. He moves to her neck with ease and brings one hand to her waist while the other slowly wraps around the base of her neck. Spencer applied a bit of pressure to her airway causing Y/N to slightly choke. This only boosted her arousal. Y/N began grinding her hips against Spencer’s as he made his way down her neck and onto her chest, unbuttoning her blouse as he went. Y/N slipped her shirt off and threw it on the floor.
Spencer chuckled.
“Eagar,  aren’t we baby?” He smirked, rubbing his hands up her body.
Y/N let out a breathy chuckle as she watched him slowly undo her jeans. He looked up through his lashes as he pulled her pants down to be met with his favorite black lace thong. Spencer bit his lip and ran his fingers over the delicate fabric covering where Y/N wanted him most. Y/N moaned as he swept over her dripping core. Spencer moved the thong over and entered the two fingers he was sucking on into her heat, moving them slowly.
Y/N arched her back and moaned softly. Spencer continued fingering her sweet pussy until he felt her clench around her fingers, signaling her upcoming climax. He stopped all movements and pulled his fingers out of her. Y/N looked down at her boyfriend with hungry eyes. He slowly kissed up her body until he reached her lips. She began to unbutton Spencer’s jeans and pull them down. Spencer pulled his boxers down, his erection springing free and slapping his tummy.
Y/N never got tired seeing Spencer’s cock.
She slowly dropped to her knees and kissed the tip gently, causing Spencer to gasp. Y/N took him in her mouth, starting with the tip and making her way down with slow, deep strokes. Spencer groaned quietly. He watched as she took him in so well.
“God Princess. You’re such a good girl.” Spencer panted.
Y/N hummed and took him deeper in her mouth. Spencer moaned and pulled her mouth off of him. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a condom, slipping on him quickly then moved Y/N over to the sink and bent her over, lining his hard cock to her entrance. Y/N watched Spencer through the mirror as he slowly pushed into her, moans falling out of her mouth as he stretched her out. Spencer groaned and he moved farther in. Her walls clenched around him so sweetly, he felt as though he was going to burst any minute.
“Fuck baby, you’re so tight.” Spencer moaned.
Y/N moaned as Spencer began to move his hips.
The feeling of his dick inside her was something Y/N loved more than anything when they had sex. The feeling of being filled up by him was more intimate and hot to her than any form of foreplay. She craved this feeling when he was in prison and the toys that he had bought her didn’t compare to Spencer.
“Daddy, I need more.” Y/N whimpered, encouraging him to go faster.
Spencer caught on and fastened the pace of his thrusts. Y/N could feel him in her stomach as she moaned his name. Spencer covered her mouth, trying to keep her from quiet so they didn’t get caught. He slammed himself into her more, groaning with every deep stroke. He knew he wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer, his thrusts soon became sloppy. Y/N wasn’t far from her climax either.
“Fuck baby, I’m gonna cum.” Y/N mewled, feeling Spencer move his hand to her clit.
Spencer began to rub her little button and Y/N nearly lost it. She was a panting, moaning mess. Her orgasm came quicker than expected as she clenched around Spencer’s cock, causing him to moan and cum right into the condom. As they both rode off their highs, Y/N panted heavily, resting her eyes. Spencer pulled out of her and disposed of the condom. The two got dressed and washed up before looking up at one another.
“I love you, Y/N. So fucking much.” Spencer said randomly.
Y/N smiled brightly.
“I love you too Spence.” She answered, pulling the lanky man into a hug.
They sat in that position for a minute. Nothing ruining the moment of love they shared. Y/N’s heart filled with so much love in times like this. It’s little gestures that make her realize how much Spencer really means to her. His feelings weren’t far off either.
Ever since Y/N started at the BAU, Spencer had been infatuated with her. He almost immediately wanted to get to know her. He wanted to know how she liked her coffee (not so light, very sweet), what her favorite book was, where she grew up. He wanted to know every little detail about her. His infatuation grew when he saw a book with poems and short stories from Edgar Allan Poe. Thus began the sprouting of their relationship.
Spencer kissed Y/N sweetly before he sent her back to the rest of the team. He soon followed out and joined the game. By the end of the night, it was a tie and everyone laughed and had a wonderful time together.
When Spencer and Y/N arrived home, the changed and snuggled into bed together. Spencer played with Y/N’s hair as they talked about the little things.
“Did you ever think we’d get to this point?” Y/N asked.
“What do you mean baby?” Spencer answered.
“You know.. just being together and being as happy as we are? I honestly thought that after my last relationship I couldn’t be as happy as I am. Then I met you and my life was changed for the better.” Y/N smiled as she looked up to him.
Spencer smiled and kissed Y/N for what felt like the a millionth time that night. He wrapped his arms around her waist and puller her to where she was laid on top of him. Her giggles filled the room and Spencer felt as though he couldn’t love her more. He studied her face before speaking again, taking in every detail that made up the love of his life.
“Y/N, you have gotten me through so much. I don’t know what my life would be like without you in it. I love you.” Spencer whispered.
Y/N smiled and pecked his lips, snuggling into his chest, sleep consuming her.
“I love you more, Spencer.”

First Day
Spencer Reid x Reader
Word Count: 741
Warnings: Heavy fluff man
Author’s Note: Most of my Criminal Minds one shots are Spencer Reid x Reader, but if you have a request, I will gladly do it :)
* * * * *
You were walking into the Quantico building to start your first day as a member of the FBI. And you were already having a bad day.
You literally woke up on the wrong side of the bed. As in, you were not even on the bed. You were on the floor with all of your blankets on top of you. That was the first thing that went wrong.
Then, you were eating cereal, and you spilled some milk on your shirt, so you had to go and spend 20 minutes trying to find another workplace acceptable outfit to wear.
When you got to the building, you took the elevator to the wrong floor, and couldn’t find Aaron Hotchner. You had to ask one of the techies what floor you were really supposed to be on.
So when you finally went to the right floor and some surprisingly handsome man walks up to you, with a straight face, you think to yourself, I swear if this guy gives me crap too.
You are brought out of your thoughts when the man asks, “Are you the new girl?”
“Yes,” you reply, grateful that he didn’t tell you that you had food on your shirt or that you weren’t in the right place.
“Welcome to the job, Y/N. My name is Spencer Reid, and we have a case. Let’s go.”
He turns and starts walking to what you assume is the conference room. He walks so fast that you have to do a little hop-run thing in order to catch up with him even a little.
“Is this case bad?” you ask Spencer.
“I don’t know yet, (Y/L/N). We all get briefed at the same time. But is there ever a good case?”
You shook your head in response, not knowing how to respond.
Breaking the silence you hear a very lively voice say, “Good morning my pretties. This case is a doosey, and we don’t have much to go on, other than the fac- Well hello there my sweet! I’m Penelope Garcia, and you’re (Full Name). ”
“Penelope, the case.” You hear a voice that goes to a face you recognize as Aaron Hotchner.
“Now, maybe Baby girl is right. We should introduce ourselves to Little Mama, over here. My name is Derek Morgan, but you can call me dad-”
“That’s enough of that.” Spencer says that and you swear that you see him absentmindedly move closer to you.
“I’m Jennifer Jareau. But everyone here calls me JJ.”
Aaron mutters, “This is taking too long. We will do introductions on the plane. Wheels up in 20. You too (Y/L/N).”
“Oh.. um. Okay.”
You have yet to meet 2 of the mysterious agents. A dark haired woman. And an older Italian man.
You are on the plane, sitting across from Spencer, playing chess with him. Being the new girl he, used you as an excuse to beat someone else in chess. Currently all you had left were 2 pawns and your king. Reid had his king, obviously, and 5 pawns, his queen and both of every set of the other pieces.
“No one else will play with me,” Spencer says looking at you with a small smirk on his face.
“Hmm, I wonder why, Einstein?”
You aren’t paying your total attention to him as you are too focused on analyzing the board to see if there was anyway you could prolong losing. But you hear something that makes you stop and look up.
“Probably because the pretty girls always get bored…”
Spencer mumble the words but not quite enough to hide them from you.
“You’re quite pretty yourself Spence.”
He blushes and looks down. He says something randomly scientific.
“Did you know Cacioppo says that love carries many definitions, but the one used nowadays in science characterizes love not only as a basic instinct and emotion but also a complex psychological emotional mental state which involves four dimensions. The four dimensions are chemistry, cognition, preference/rewarding mechanisms, and an intention to be with a significant other.”
“No Spencer, I did not know that. But thank you for telling me.”
The smile that graces his face after you speak, is enough to make your heart flutter, but what comes next makes you even happier.
“You are the only person that has ever thanked me for my knowledge. And the only person on the team that doesn’t interrupt me to roll their eyes. Thank you Y/N.”
“You’re welcome Spencer.”

The Old and The New: You Can’t Escape Your Past
A/N: Third installment of The Old and The New. @coveofmemories @gublersmind @heavenlycevans
P.S. I am truly flying by the seat of my pants when it comes to writing this one. LOL
                                                              ----
Once they got on the ground, the team and their new recruits began to disembark, with Jack and Y/N as the last two to walk out. “Crap!” she exclaimed, as her heel touched down badly on the stairs, causing her to lurch forward into Jack’s back, which sent them both flying down the stairs until they ended up together at the bottom, Y/N splayed across Jack’s midsection and Jack flat against the concrete. Everyone rushed back to make sure she was okay, but she couldn’t stop laughing. “I’m so graceful,” she said, pushing up off the ground and reaching out to help Jack up. “I’m unbelievably sorry. You okay?”
“Yea,” he smiled. “I’m fine. You weigh next to nothing. I was hit harder by girls in school.”
She seemed to take offense to that. “Oh, don’t you doubt that I would absolutely be able to kick your ass...Brooks.” Okay, that was the second time, he caught something from her when his last name was mentioned. Did she know? How could she know? “Now, that I’m done being insanely graceful, why don’t we get to work.”
As the 10 agents walked off the tarmac, they were greeted by the Cedar Rapids PD. “Hello everyone. Thanks so much for coming out. This is a little beyond what we’re used to.”
“We are an asset for all levels of law enforcement,” JJ said. “It’s our pleasure.”
“Alright,” Emily started. “We all have our assignments. Let’s get a jump on this.” While Emily, JJ and Penelope headed back to the station along with Agents Holden, Smith and Jones, Y/N hopped into a car with Dr. Reid, who she seemed very chummy with already. Jack had no idea why he didn’t like that. Actually, he knew exactly why, but he had no reason to be jealous because he didn’t know her. Apparently, he wanted to. But she seemed a little more interested in his uncle. God, this was weird.
A third car held another officer, Officer Boneck, who would drive Luke and Jack to Lake Red Rock to check out the scene. “So Jack,” Luke said as they spilled into the car.
“Look, Agent Alvez,” Jack interrupted, “I just want you to know that I don’t want this job because I’m connected to my father. I want to prove myself apart from him.”
Luke just laughed; he would expect nothing less. Any child of Aaron Hotchner’s was bound to want to distance himself from the name. Not that he was ashamed, not at all. It was actually the complete opposite, but if he were Jack, he wouldn’t want anyone thinking that he only got this opportunity because of his father. “I know, Jack. That actually wasn’t what I was going to say.”
“Oh,” he replied, surprised. “What were you going to say?”
“I was going to say, you look like you might have a little crush on Y/N,” he smiled. Jack said nothing, only smiling and pulling on his seatbelt while the local officer pulled off the tarmac and onto the road ahead.
                                                             ----
Within 15 minutes, the three senior female agents as well as their proteges had made their way into the station and set up. “Okay, so Agent Holden and I are going to start compiling those lists,” Penelope said, tugging on Holden’s arm and leading him toward the station where they’d be working.
After setting up in a conference room next to where Penelope and Holden were situated, Emily and JJ talked about the profile in vague ideas, while waiting on some kind of a list for them to work off of. “We can’t do much without a list, or information from Luke and Spencer, but we can talk to some of the other officers that worked closely with Cogswell and Heskett. Officer?” Emily said flagging down the chief of the department that had brought them in. “Which of your officers worked closely with the two victims?”
“That would be Tishler and Rana, their newbies, as well as Basson and Herzfeld who were partnered up with Cogswell and Heskett before they took on the newbies,” he said with a sigh. The chief was sweating uncontrollably, which could’ve been attributed to the heat, or maybe he was under an insane amount of stress, due to the case, or maybe his knowledge of it, they weren’t sure. At this point in time, everyone was a suspect.
Emily nodded, walking back to the small group. “So Cogswell and Heskett had proteges, as well as partners from before they were assigned new ones. JJ, you and Agent Jones can interview Tishler and Basson, and Agent Smith, you and I will take Rana and Herzfeld. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get something out of them that we can work off of until we get some new information.”
                                                            ----
Nearly an hour and a half later, Officer Boneck had gotten Luke and Jack to Lake Red Rock in record time. “I just want to know who’s at the bottom of this,” he said. “This isn’t the type of thing we normally experience out here.”
“Well, take us to the dump site,” Luke said, putting on his sunglasses as they exited the vehicle. “Let’s see what we can do.”
As they approached the lake, Jack took note of the concrete bricks that had been attached to the victims. “This looks like an extremely durable kind of concrete,” he said after pulling on gloves and picking up the weight. “You see how few pores there are in it, Agent Alvez.” He stood up and showed the brick to Luke, grazing his hand over the impossibly smooth concrete.
“Please, call me Luke,” he said, “And yea. That’s not common is it?”
It wasn’t. Concrete for basic construction normally had some kind of pores. “This is much denser, heavier than it needs to be. The weight was so heavy that the rope attached to it frayed and broke, which was what caused the bodies to rise up to the surface. If it had been a more typical kind of concrete, there wouldn’t have been so much weight on the rope. It’s very possible they wouldn’t have risen up if another kind of concrete had been used.” Luke arched his eyebrows. He’d made an impression. Yes.
“So we could be looking for someone who has a very basic knowledge of concrete, but probably not someone who’s directly in contact with it everyday, because they would’ve known to use a different type of concrete?” Luke asked no one in particular.
That’s what first came to Jack’s mind. “The rope is your garden variety kind used for a million different things, so we won’t be able to track anyone down through that, but with the concrete, there’s a possibility we’ll be able to narrow a list down once we have it.”
“Good work, kid,” Luke said, slapping him on the shoulder. “I wanna take a quick look around the surrounding area and see if we can find anything else of interest, but this should definitely help us narrow things down.”
As Luke and Jack stepped to opposite directions of the crime scene, Jack smiled to himself. He’d made an impression; he noticed something that Luke might not have known. That had to be good. Right? God, he wanted this more than anything, but first and foremost he needed to focus on the case. A cold feeling washed over him despite the heat outside and the warm breeze floating off the lake; he had a bad feeling they were about to find another body.
                                                           ----
While Jack and Luke made their way back to the local station, Emily, JJ, Smith and Jones conducted brief interviews with officers Tishler, Rana and Basson. Tishler and Rana’s interviews brought them nothing; the new officers had only been paired with the seniors for a few months, but Basson gave them a little something they might be able to work with. “So Basson said that Cogswell, Heskett and Herzfeld were all a little jumpy as of late,” JJ said after returning from the interview. “When we asked him what they were so jumpy about, he said that they’d had a meeting with someone, he didn’t know who, recently and since then, they’d been on edge all the time.”
Jones came out from behind JJ. “The meeting took place over a lunch break, which was the only reason that Basson knew about it. It’s likely that the three of them had a meeting with our unsub,” he said. “Maybe the three officers and our unsub were friends in school? Something they did in the past is coming back to bite them?”
“It’s the most likely possibility based on the information we have right now,” Emily said. “It makes sense because when we went to go interview Herzfeld, we were told that he went home for lunch, but when we called his wife, she said he hadn’t come home at all today. Herzfeld is missing.”
“If the unsub was friends with the three officers at one point then we need to find Herzfeld quickly,” Smith said, crossing her hands across her chest. “Because he’s the last piece of evidence that the unsub needs to get rid of.”
                                                          ----
After leaving the wives of Cogswell and Heskett, Emily told Spencer and Y/N to head over to Herzfeld’s house to interview his wife. “So both wives claim their husbands have been on edge lately, but neither know why,” Y/N said, attempting to cement the interview in her brain.
“And Cogswell’s wife said her husband claims to have done something stupid in his past that he believes is coming back to haunt him,” Spencer replied. “So this isn’t some mob hit, this is something personal.”
“I feel like that makes it harder,” Y/N said, grabbing her rib ever so slightly.
Spencer noticed her touching her side and wondered if she’d hurt herself when she fell off the plane. “You okay?” he asked. “You know a fall like that can feel fine when it first happens, but can come back and hurt later. Keep an eye on it. Don’t push yourself too hard.”
“I’m good, Dr. Reid. I’ve been hit harder before,” she said with a raise of her eyebrow. “But I always feel like smaller cases are worse. The secrets are kept closer. That kind of thing.”
“Please, call me Spencer. And that does tend to be the case. You sure you’re okay?”
“Yea, Dr...Spencer. I promise I’m good. Thanks. We should probably see if Herzfeld’s wife can tell us anything knew.”
As they approached the door, they prayed that Herzfeld himself might be home, but no such luck. “Mrs. Herzfeld, my name is Dr. Spencer Reid and this is my associate, Dr. Y/F/N Y/L/N. We’re here to talk to you about your husband. He hasn’t returned home?”
“No,” she cried. “He always said that his past would come back to bit him in the ass one day.” That day was today.
