To clarify a little --- none of these are true-color images. The raw data that makes these images are literally just numbers (ranging from 0 to ~16000, due to how the cameras work). You wouldn't see these colors in real life since you can't see things in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV).
Scientists make standard scales of color for each wavelength, so they know which one they are looking at just from a glance --- the first image, for example, is a picture taken in the "color" 171 Å, mostly corresponding to Fe IX (iron that has lost 9 electrons).
The gray ones are "magnetograms" --- white means that the Sun's magnetic field is coming towards you, and black means it's going away from you. This is really helpful for looking at sunspots!
If you want to make and download images like this yourself, it's actually incredibly easy! Try these websites:
Images - Add Layer Observatory: SDO Instrument: AIA (or HMI) Measurement: click around to get different images of the Sun in different wavelengths (measured in Angstroms)
Do you like the color of the Sun?
Get ready to be dazzled by the true spectrum of solar beauty. From fiery reds to cool blues, explore the vibrant hues of the Sun in a mesmerizing color order. These images were taken in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light to clearly see any activity on the surface of the Sun — giving scientists a wealth of data for solar studies.

Sun Dance Video Credit: NASA, SDO; Processing: Alan Watson via Helioviewer
Explanation: Sometimes, the surface of our Sun seems to dance. In the middle of 2012, for example, NASA's Sun-orbiting Solar Dynamic Observatory spacecraft imaged an impressive prominence that seemed to perform a running dive roll like an acrobatic dancer. The dramatic explosion was captured in ultraviolet light in the featured time-lapse video covering about three hours. A looping magnetic field directed the flow of hot plasma on the Sun. The scale of the dancing prominence is huge -- the entire Earth would easily fit under the flowing arch of hot gas. A quiescent prominence typically lasts about a month and may erupt in a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), expelling hot gas into the Solar System. The energy mechanism that creates a solar prominence is still a topic of research. Like in 2012, this year the Sun's surface is again quite active and features many filaments and prominences.

Ship Leaving Sun, 10X Bigger than Earth! April 15, 2024, UFO Sighting News. 🛸👀👽
Source: NASA Helioviewer: https://helioviewer.org
💫This is 100% proof that aliens live within our sun and it reinforces my hollow sun theory. One catch might be coincidence, however catching the same ship 4X over the years is a lot more proof than most ask for.

4 min read Ride the Wave of Radio Astronomy During the Solar Eclipse GAVRT DSS-28 dish at the NASA Deep Space Communications Complex near Goldstone, California. NASA/Russell Torres Students and science enthusiasts are invited to catch a real-time look at radio astronomy as scientists explore magnetic hotspots on the Sun during a live, virtual solar eclipse event on April 8, 2024. A massive, 34-meter telescope once used by NASA’s Deep Space Network to communicate with spacecraft will point towards the Sun during the solar eclipse that day. The Moon’s position in front of the Sun will help the antenna detect radio waves from solar active regions in more detail than is usually possible. The Solar Patrol team at California’s Lewis Center for Educational Research, in partnership with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, will remotely operate the Goldstone Apple Valley Radio Telescope (GAVRT) while sharing observations and commentary during an interactive webinar open for the public. Scientists and students regularly use the single-dish GAVRT antenna, located in the Mojave Desert of California, to scan the Sun. They use the observations to build maps of radio waves formed along strong magnetic field lines in the outer atmosphere of the Sun. By studying these images, researchers can measure the strength and structure of those powerful magnetic regions. These observations offer insight into magnetically driven processes on the Sun, like solar flares and coronal mass ejections, which generate space weather events that can interfere with satellite electronics, radio communications and GPS signals, spacecraft orbits, and power grids on Earth. During normal solar observing, GAVRT can only detect and distinguish relatively large features on the Sun. A solar eclipse offers a unique opportunity for GAVRT to capture sharper and more refined information about the magnetic field structure in the solar active regions that are often marked by sunspots. “It’s special during the eclipse because, as the Moon is passing in front of an active region, that really sharp edge of the Moon covers up more and more of the structure in that active region,” says Marin Anderson, a research scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and GAVRT Solar Patrol scientist. Anderson explains how, as the Moon blocks a portion of the active region, it’s easier to tell what part of the active region the radio emissions are coming from. “It’s basically a way of probing magnetic field structures in the corona of the Sun in a way that we wouldn’t be able to unless an eclipse was happening.” Anyone in the world can join the live-streamed webinar on April 8 from 1-3:30 p.m. EDT (10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PDT) and ask the hosts questions as a partial eclipse becomes visible in California. Participants will be able to see the telescope controls, data visualization tools like Helioviewer, incoming radio data, a map of active hot spot regions, and imagery of the eclipsed Sun at radio wavelengths. NASA/Thangasamy Velusamy Post-eclipse image of the Sun, as observed by GAVRT at 6.00 GHz and 8.45 GHz, on October 14, 2023. One of the active regions monitored by GAVRT during the eclipse is visible as the bright region in the lower left quadrant of the Sun. Click the arrow to see the eclipsed Sun. NASA/Thangasamy Velusamy GAVRT was awarded a NASA grant to carry out observations during both the 2023 and 2024 solar eclipses in the U.S. GAVRT supports an open science framework by making all data and radio maps available for viewing and downloading by the public. Images collected during the eclipse will be posted online with instructions on how to run software and analyze the data. The Solar Patrol team hopes the public webinar inspires people to become active members of the GAVRT program where they can learn to remotely operate the telescope themselves while taking part in data analysis and scientific discovery. “I think one of the really great aspects of GAVRT Solar Patrol is that it connects any participant, but particularly students, with the Sun, beyond what they see and experience every day from the star,” Anderson says. “It’s seeing the Sun at radio wavelengths and being able to connect different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum with unique physics that’s happening on the Sun.” Since its launch in 1997, GAVRT has offered many opportunities to combine science observations with education and outreach. In addition to Solar Patrol, GAVRT is used in campaigns where participants can study Jupiter’s radiation belts, monitor radio emissions from black holes, or search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Anderson says giving students the tools to do science themselves empowers them. “It’s a really hands-on process and I think the way to get kids excited and invested in not only solar science but the scientific process in general.” To register for the GAVRT April 8 eclipse livestream event, visit: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/4920123655757293655 For other ways to get involved in GAVRT, including signing up a classroom to participate in observations, contact: [email protected] or visit gavrt.lewiscenter.org. Massiivisia juttuja Auringossa, onko Helioviewer rikki?

“The NASA Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) mission is the US space agency’s method for learning about the Sun’s structure and solar atmosphere. Since it began orbiting our star more than two decades ago, the NASA space telescope has made innumerable breakthroughs, from understanding the Sun’s violent solar storms to monitoring its powerful magnetic fields. However, UFO hunter Scott Waring believes NASA’s SOHO has now made its most amazing discovery yet – spotting an huge alien spacecraft flying close to the star. Waring took to his etdatabase.com UFO blog to speculate about the dubious find.
He wrote: “At first I thought the anomaly was just some sort of magma or solar material ejected from the Sun.
“But it doesn’t look like it – the object’s shape just looks too perfect for that.
“There seem to be right angles to it, resembling a modern-day arrow head.
“There are just too many right angles present for it to be a naturally-occurring object.”
Waring proceeds to zoom out of the NASA image, taken on July 24, 2019, to get a better perspective of the solar anomaly.
This was taken from SOHO’s EIT 195 camera, which presents the Sun with a greenish filter.
Knowing the Sun’s radius to be 695,510 km, the alien life conspiracy theorist estimates the UFO to be at least 10 times the size of Earth.
And Waring thinks such constructing such enormous spaceship would be easily feasible for technologically advanced alien cultures.
He wrote: “Imagine you are an alien, and you want to build an object bigger than planet Earth.
“Well, it is not too hard if the planet you evolved from is 13.5 billion years old.
“That puts us around 10 billion years behind them then.
“Imagine the technological advances alien species could make in ten billion years.
“They would be godlike. Here is such a species orbiting our Sun.
“All the aliens need to do is order their AI robots to build these huge UFOs for them.
“These robots will harvest the necessary materials from other planets or mine asteroids to create this spaceship.”
And Waring, who regularly accuses NASA of covering-up evidence of alien life, claims the space agency may have done so again with this image.
He wrote: “I tried to find the photo again and discovered NASA’s Helioviewer.org won’t allow me to see it.”
