Agricultural cooperative Agrinio Union said works are underway on a group of photovoltaic facilities developed by the local energy community it established. Five hundred Greek families are jointly building solar power plants of 100 MW in total and the model has been incorporated in the national legal framework for future investments in the country. A solar power complex of 100 MW is due to be finished in the fall in the Greek region of Aetolia-Acarnania and connected to the grid by the end of the year. The energy community founded by a local cooperative is on the way to start running the biggest facility of its kind in the country, before domestic utilities finish the first giant photovoltaic projects in lignite mining areas to replace the harmful fossil fuel.

Five hundred households and their strategic partner kIEFER TEK will install their own electric power substation. As the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) rejected numerous applications, they decided to group the individual projects, said agricultural cooperative Agrinio Union, which set up the energy community. It is based in the neighboring municipality.

ATHENS (Reuters) – A power outage that left holidaymakers on the island of Hydra, a popular destination not far from Athens, without electricity and water for over 24 hours has been restored, authorities said on Monday.

The blackout at the height of the tourism season in Greece had disrupted cash withdrawal machines, while mini-markets, restaurants and ice-cream shops on Hydra saw much of their stock destroyed in the summer heat, Greece’s SKAI TV said.

“We are not able to measure the impact yet but as the island is full of visitors this gives a bad impression,” Hydra Mayor George Koukoudakis told Reuters.

Nikos Sofianos, who owns a hotel on the island, said the economic impact was huge and several visitors had left on Monday morning.

“Our hotel is fully booked, but our customers are not able to use the toilets or take a shower,” Sofianos said.

The island gets its power via two undersea cables and damage was detected on the main one. Power distributor HEDNO, a subsidiary of Greece’s power utility Public Power Corp. (PPC), said it had repaired the damage.

Tourism is one of Greece’s main sources of revenue, driving a tentative economic recovery after a long crisis. The country of about 11 million attracted over 27 million tourists in 2017 and expects a record 32 million this year.

Enerji Sektöründe Çok Uluslu Ar-Ge Projesine İmza Attılar

ADM Elektrik Dağıtım Şirketi ile beraber; Smarter EMC2 Projesi’nin ortakları arasında Türkiye’den Elektrik Dağıtım Hizmetleri Derneği (ELDER), Yunanistan’dan IntracomTelecom, İletişim ve Bilgisayar Sistemleri Enstitüsü, HEDNO Elektrik Dağıtım Ağı Operatörü ve OTE (Yunan Telekomünikasyon Şirketi), İngiltere’den Durham Üniversitesi ve FLE (Fujitsu Avrupa Laboratuvarları), Portekiz’den Porto Bilgisayar ve Sistem Mühendisliği Enstitüsü, İtalya’dan Thales Uluslararası Sivil ve Savunma Fabrikası, Danimarka’dan ise Aalborg Üniversitesi yer aldı.

Proje, Ülkemizde Alanında İlk Olma Özelliği Taşıyor

ADM Elektrik Dağıtım Şirketi’nin yine bir ilki başararak gerçekleştirdiği proje kapsamında; tüketiciler, enerji tedariği sağlayan firmalar ve elektrik dağıtım hizmeti sunan şirketlerin dahil olduğu organize bir akıllı şebeke modeli oluşturuldu. Bu aşamada Avrupa Birliği kurumlarının belirlediği akıllı şebeke yol haritasının değerlendirilmesi ve standartların oluşturulmasına katkı sağlanması da hedeflendi.

Kullanıcılar, Üretim ve Tüketim Dengesinde Kilit Rol Oynuyor

Şirketten alınan bilgilere göre elektrik enerjisinin henüz gelişmekte olan yeni yöntemlerle kısıtlı miktarda depolanabiliyor olması; elektrik üretim, iletim, dağıtım sisteminde talep edilen enerji miktarı ile üretilen enerji miktarının sürekli ve anlık olarak aynı düzeyde olmasını zorunlu kılıyor. Elektrik tüketimi ihtiyacının zamanla değişimi ise önemli ölçüde üretim kapasitesinin sürekli olarak hazır bulundurulmasını zorunu hale getiriyor. Bu sorunu çözmek için üretim kapasitesi ile tüketim arasındaki dengeyi kurabilmek amacıyla, kullanıcıların aktif olarak katılımının sağlanması ve yönetilmesi önemli rol oynuyor.

Bu aşamada, alanında bir ilki gerçekleştiren proje kapsamında entegre iletişim teknolojileri yardımıyla akıllı hale getirilen elektrik şebekesine bağlı katılımcıların tüketim rejimleri anlık olarak izlenmeye başlandı. Ayrıca yenilenebilir enerji kaynakları ve dağınık üretim tesisleri de sürece dahil edildi.

Projenin Ödül Töreni 3 İlde Gerçekleştirildi

ADM Elektrik Dağıtım Şirketi tarafında Aydın, Denizli ve Muğla illerinde projeye destek veren tüketicilere özel ödül töreni gerçekleştirildi. Tüketicilerle bir araya gelen ADM ve GDZ Elektrik Dağıtım Şirketleri Yatırımlardan Sorumlu İcra Kurulu Üyesi Ahmet Bayramoğlu, kullanıcıların proje aşamasında önemli bir rolü üstlendiklerini vurguladı. Kullanıcılara teşekkür plaketlerini ve hediyelerini kendisi takdim etti.
