Here Comes The Reign Main Characters

Reign Tollenger and Ezrik Tome meet at the beginning of our story, both of them at the lowest they’ve ever been, but together, they can find a way to get through it. I commissioned this portrait to show the growth they will have, to give hope of their success when they’re going through rough times.

Ezrik is easily identified as a dragon by his blood red eyes. Reign is also a dragon, but her eyes look more brown, because her father was human. I don’t want to give away too much of their story, so ….

Ravid Panoptes - The One Eyed Seer

Ravid Panoptes is the last member of Team HCTR and the most prominent dust user of the group. Born to a family of mediums and seers, Ravid thought that he would live a normal life until he was exposed to the family’s dark secret which ‘costed’ him his right eye.

Ravid’s weapons are called Eyes of the Pantheon. They are the Hexa Dust Combat Orbs (HDCO). They are 6 medium sized orbs that are infused with specific dust types. Ravid manipulate these orbs to levitate around him and use them and their dust capabilities. The dust types Ravid uses include: Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Electricity and Gravity.

His semblance, Giant’s Sight allows for Ravid to glimpse exactly 5 seconds into the future, allowing him to forsee attacks just as they’re about to occur. However, if this semblance is overused it can cause painful migraines for Ravid.

Reign Lugden/Tollenger

Reign begins our story as Reign Lugden, the hidden daughter of the human king, Tobias Lugden. Her mother died when Reign was only a child, around 5 years old, and she hardly remembers the woman that raised her. Her most defining physical feature is the scar that stretches the entire length of the right side of her face, received when she is lashed by a dragon’s tail at the very start of her story. The injury scarred her, broke her iris, and took her sight from her right eye. Reign has been tortured all of her life, kept prisoner from the day she was born. She hasn’t known kindness since the day her mother disappeared. That is, until she meets the dragon that changes her life.

Reign has a lifetime of trauma and pain to work through, while also facing an entirely new world with her first taste of freedom. Come along with Reign as she navigates a new life in a new world!

Takehiro Hanabira - The Lonely Prince

Takehiro Hanabira is the son and heir of the notorious Hanabira Syndicate that resides within Mistral’s underworld. A 3rd year beacon student and member of Team HCTR, Takehiro seeks to rewrite his future and hopefully bring the Hanabira’s name back into the light.

His weapons, Fukushu and Masayoshi are the Semi Auto Rifle Ninjatō (SARN) and the Dust Interchanging Tanto Dagger (DITD) respectively. Fukushu is a ninjato sword that has an SMG build into the sheath, allowing for Takehiro to pull off medium ranged and short ranged attacks. Masayoshi on the other hand is more discreetly used for stealth attacks and is commonly hidden in Takehiro’s sash. Masayoshi can also fit dust cells in it for varying effects

Takehiro’s semblance is called Ronin Strike. Takehiro’s semblance gives him to execute a speed boost in his strikes with his Ninjato. While allowing him to create ultra fast strikes, Ronin Strike consumes large amounts of aura, prompting for Takehiro to only use it when necessary.

Corbin Dracul-Tepes - The Blood Prince

The eldest and only son of the illustrious and powerful Dracul-Tepes Family of Vale, Corbin’s family hold dark secrets and Corbin holds the pleasure of being exposed to them. One part of being groomed to inherit the family ‘business’ was attending Beacon Academy. Even though he firmly believes it’s all apart of his Parent’s plans for him, Corbin has noticed what the effect of having friends can have on an individual.

His weapons, Crimson Fangs are the Dual Sheathed Grappling Daggers (DSGD). They are a pair of armoured gauntlets that have two daggers built into them. At the press of a button, Corbin can launch his knives which are attached to the gauntlets through a thick grappling wire.

Corbin’s Semblance, Blood Oath, allows for Corbin to manipulate his own blood if exposed to open air. However, this is a risky semblance as Corbin needs to draw the blood out himself. Though this gives him the chance to trick enemies into thinking they’ve wounded him.

Hector Belea-Gorria - The Blue Inferno

The older brother to Mira Belea-Gorria, Hector Belea Gorria is a beacon academy 3rd year student and the confident, quick-witted and experienced leader of Team HCTR (Hector). Born into poor conditions on Isla del Sol, Hector worked and strived hard to reach his goals of attending Beacon Academy and hopes to be able to assist others and fight against the hardships humanity as a whole, face.

His weapon, Fuego Azul is the Fire Charged Great Sword (FCGS). It is a large, heavy sword that allows Hector to hot and heavy attacks that can incinerate enemies if used effectively. 

Hector’s Semblance, Hellfire, allows him to charge up his aura and release it in a burst of extremely hot blue flame. It incredibly effective against large surrounding groups of enemies but can harm allies, forcing Hector to have to use his semblance wisely.

So i’m deciding to take a step back and travelling to the glory days of Volume 1 by introducing yet another team that is heavily associated with Team MNLT, Team HCTR, a Beacon Academy 3rd Year Team.

Hector Belea-Gorria Is Mira Belea-Gorria’s older brother and the rather cocky leader of Team HCTR and like his sister, is based on the phoenix as well as the Character Don Quixote (And a bit of Benny from In the Heights)

Corbin Dracul-Tepes Is a very enigmatic and charismastic young Heir to the Dracul-Tepes family as well as being in line for the possession of a certain feared huntsman ‘guild’ that his father currently runs. He is based on Alucard, the Son of Dracula.

Takehiro Hanabira is the more no-nonsense member of HCTR. Being the son of a samurai-Yakuza Family, Takehiro seeks to impress his father and his strict code. He is based on Susanoo, the Japanese god of storms and slayer of Orochi.

Ravid Panoptes is a quiet and timid young man who hails from a family of seers. While his ‘missing’ eye may seem as thought it would hinder his fighting, he is an adept and skilled fighter and dust-user. He is based on Argus Panoptes, the 1000 eyed giant from Greek mythology.

Another Update

Hi! So far in my junior year of high school i’ve been really busy and haven’t had the time to mental energy to draw anything new. But school holidays are coming up and that will give me lots of time to draw more stuff! Stay tuned bc more HCTR art will come!
