To be honest... Mikey is touch starved. that's a fact. He had lost so many people and meeting you was one of the best things that could have happened to him. You picked up his pieces over and over again and put them back together. Very carefully with a lot of love... and Dorayaki. 

When he finally had the courage to tell you how he felt, he was so nervous... poor baby. He didn't want you to reject him because then he wouldn't be able to look you in the eye anymore. when you said that you like him too, he was so relieved. three words: bone crushing hugs.

Mike would make a great boyfriend. Sure, it's a little exhausting sometimes to see his people following you around on your lunch break and he always has someone checking up on you, but you know he's only doing it to protect you and with that in mind it's easier to be accompanied by gang members. 

 CUDDLES! I can't say it enough. Mikey kind of loves to touch you? (Definitely has a thing for thighs) so it's only understandable that he's always glued to you (I mean have you seen him with ken-chin???) it’s even worse with you. He's like a little kid. Always grinning and always wanting to hold your hand. 

I think Mikey has nothing against PDA. He would kiss you in the middle of thousands of people or make out with you if he wanted to.(draken told him that if you were embarrassed about his actions, he should take that into account, so now he would hold back in public if you were uncomfortable with showing affection in puplic.

. Would definitely and I mean definitely! tackle you if you were careless... you'd just walk around the living room and poof! you'd be on the couch with an almost sleeping Mikey on top of you. 

I think Mikey is someone who also likes to be held. So either he's lying on top of you with his face pressed into your chest and his hair wildly splayed over your nose so you have to hold back a sneeze or two. His arms wrapped tightly around your middle. Or he would like to lie on your lap and put your hand in his hair again and again when you stop playing with it.

would love it if you would ride his bike with him at night. It's always so quiet and peaceful at that time. just you, him and his bike.

also a huge fan of lazy make outs! when you just got up and see that gorgeous blonde boy looking at you and grinning lazy “good morning baby~” he hummed as his lips ghosted only an inch away from yours. Hi!! First time in ur inbox- sorry it's such word vomit. I've seen you be so sweet to people in your asks and I thought I'd join with my own thoughts that have been rattling around in my head since last night.

Why is it that the general population see larries as actually, genuinely, crazy and delusional fans? I know it serves it's purpose in maintaining the believability of a closet, but

when i got into the fandom and started going through all the receipts& explanations, I remember still being on the fence for a while, unsure and sort of paranoid about whether I was allowed to believe in it. I can remember telling a friend that asked if I thought it was real: "The craziest part is that you look through everything, read about PR and closeting in the industry, and you are left thinking: Well, holy shit. It's entirely possible that this is true. It wouldn't even be a special case- all of these things that fans theorise about Larry have 100% happened to other celebs."

I understand people not wanting to believe in 'conspiracies' but when it's straight relationships, it's ok? when it's the mainstream media narrative, it's ok? even though artists have told us repeatedly that the media has their own agenda? I'll never get that. How are we the crazy ones? They're the hypocrites.

Because I'm new to the fandom I've been watching old clips on youtube, and I got recommended a video essay on 1D and the whole comment section was full of people saying larries caused gaylor to happen (ew as if we would ever), and comparing what we believe to kpop stans thinking every one of their idols is secretly dating (which btw, yes kpop stans are intense and often fall for easily debunked conspiracies but. statistically speaking, some of those boys have GOT to be fruity.)

It just makes me wonder why people have to come at us like that. Saying all our proof can be debunked... a lot of it can lol but that's more of an issue of younger or naiver people getting obsessed with the idealised romance of H&L and seeing writing on the wall when it's just some accidental smudges. If they don't want to believe us, fine. But why are they so sure they know better than we do?

Hi, love. This would be a PhD thesis if I really broke it down. But I think a couple of the main reasons are that 1DHQ worked overtime on the gaslighting and the story that larries ruined HL's friendship. Then they added in "Louis" tweeting about how Larry is bullshit, and he's straight, and he's had to deny "Larry" a bunch of times over the years. So from the early days, it was considered being a "good fan" to shit on larries. Then, add in that Harry was marketed as a womanizer, Louis was marketed as the world's best boyfriend, and tabloids calling anyone "crazy" who thought they could be anything but aggressively straight. Larries just became the scapegoat.

Add in a sprinkle of homophobia ("stop assigning a sexuality to people" as if "straight" isn't a sexuality) and compulsory heterosexuality, and you've got a perfect storm. Plus, unless you've got a basic understanding of closeting and the way the music/film industries operate and only you've really followed things from early on and cataloged the insane amount of "coincidences," it's easy to explain everything away.

HUGE SPOILER AHEAD!!!

Watch “TRASH FRIENDS” before reading. If you haven’t watched it and still read this, pls don’t say I didn’t warn you 🫠👍

Just watched “TRASH FRIENDS” and the thumbnail really made me think this was going to be an episode focusing on the way Mario has been treated by Smg4 and his friends (at least that’s how I see it) but I wasn’t expecting an episode about Smg3’s insecurities and fears (mostly insecurities)

I really was caught lacking because I was expecting something and I got the opposite lmao. I should be familiar with this guy’s content already and know that the only thing expected from these episodes is the unexpected xD, but anyways back to talking about the video.

In previous episodes we see that he gets a little bit of customers such as in the episode “You used to be cool” and “CEO OF RIZZ” but in this last mentioned episode he tries to advertise his café after Boopkins’s date works out in the end and so does the same in “SMG4’s NEWS.”

At first you think “Maybe he wants more than what he has” but after watching this episode you realize he’s actually struggling with his business and last weeks episode you change your view from his actions and see him as more desperate rather than greedy after watching this latest ep.

Constantly trying to get more people into his café and taking every single chance he can see to advertise no matter the place or time, like life depends on it.

And talking about chances ._.xD

Smg4 comes to this guy’s café for his help to get his “Michael Jordan Endorsement Video” back because boi lost it and he wants Smg3’s help because their “FRIENDS”

Of course Smg3 saw this as a chance to advertise his café because HOLY SHIT MICHAEL JORDAD!!! A famous basketball player that anyone would want to have the chance to meet and that’s a chance that Smg3 is willing to take because it means his business would BLOW UP *someone throws them a chair*

Btw when Mario shows up to offer his help, I expected Smg4 to be more happy that he has his avatar buddy always trying to help him but instead…

Don’t get me wrong, I know they got a little weirded out about the fact that Mario is a regular around the Junkyard due to him eating at that location but still, that dialogue still sort of hurt me man qwp

But anyways back to my review of this episode and giving my acoustic povs that nobody asked for.

They arrive at the junkyard and after being there for 5 seconds, they find the legendary pokemon that goes by the name of “Michael Jordan Endorsement Video” (sorry for my weak ass jokes, I just woke up and my humor is a little broken rn)

After having the video on sight, Mario pulls a Yoshi and beats the crap out of the spaghetti plate where the video so happened to land on, in one go. Obviously, causing the other two to try and force the USB out of him but both failed as Mario did a BLJ through the trash and forcing 3 & 4 to dig through everything to find him.

Now… the part I was dying to talk about and hopefully I can let out my thoughts the proper way.

As the two spend an entire evening just digging through trash, they start a friendly conversation until Smg4 touches the Smg3’s CnB topic which causes Smg3 to get nervous and lie about everything being fine because he has something that every human being has unfortunately, ✨I N S E C U R I T I E S✨.

Which I understand because bruh, 3’s been seen as a bad copy of 4 who’s the total opposite of him for a good piece of his life, if not his ENTIRE existence and now that’s he’s going through a change in his life for the better, he’s going to face a lot of these insecurity episodes because he’s so used to being seen as the bad guy, the bad copy, The Villain. Always people seeing what 4 does and never looking what 3 does which got him into that dark path.

Is like the Sun and the Moon kind of thing. The Sun (Smg4) can shine the brightest while the moon (Smg3) is just a floating rock shining the least. I’ll bring this up again at the end of the review.

But yeah, Smg3 has insecurities and is more shown when they reach the entrance of Mario’s hiding spot.

So obviously they bring up that Odin just means "One" (or Uno) but it's also worth pointing out what an Eidolon is. Eidolon is a Greek term, meaning "a spirit-image of a living or dead person; a shade or phantom look-alike of the human form" (at least according to Wikipedia).

"ODIN EIDOLON" LITERALLY TRANSLATES TO "UNO'S GHOST" I FUCKING HATE HIM. I'M SMASHING HIM WITH HAMMERS. AFFECTIONATELY.

Anyways to wrap up with some final thoughts-

Something that doesn't really get addressed in this comic (probably for plot reasons, it's not super relevant) is just how comforting it must be for Donald to travel to the future and see that the Evronian Empire is all but wiped out, a shell of its former self. Obviously timelines can still change, we saw that in Day of the Cold Sun, but it still must be nice to see that all the fighting he does is going to pay off in a big way.

Btw remember that bit in an earlier chapter about Uno finding Lyla attractive? Yeah well I should think so considering that YOU'RE THE ONE THAT BUILT HER- Okay well he's not the DESIGNER but still I think that connection is funny ok. I wonder if Uno scanned Odin's gun and was like "oh"

I like this comic, I think it's another really good one. I mean it's no Earthquake but still, between Day of the Cold Sun, Earthquake, and then this volume I feel like we've just had banger after banger after banger. I'm also super stoked to have Odin in the story now, even if thinking about Uno way outliving Donald and being excited to see him again after 200 years makes me really depressed if I think about it too hard. I'm happy that he got to escape the confines of Ducklair tower and even got a cunty green suit in the process though, good for him. Donald is REALLY gonna regret not accepting that explanation from Uno though, RIP 🙏 SUUURELY he'll figure it out one of these days guys. Like EVENTUALLY. Right???

it's actually insane to me that charles has comparable if not more line distribution than the boys combined... like how does ONE person have almost the same amount as EIGHT members and he's just the feature. from their intro video where they talk about it, it breaks my heart that they think they had to do this to get recognition here in the US. i became a stay after seeing them at gcf when i was there for someone else so their own music speaks for itself. i'm scared the single will be on the album for the upcoming comeback and i'm scare they will lose their touch for the take of western validation or making it big here. we've seen it with an act like bts and i feel like now jype is trying to follow their lead to attempt for that same kind of success. i'm actually heartbroken for the guys and fuck div1/jype bc i can't even imagine the bs they got into their head with about breaking out in the west

He definitely has way more lines for my liking because I would prefer he didn't have any but stays don't get to smile so... Tbh I think that's how collabs usually work, it's probably around half him and half skz, but since there's 8 members it seems like he sings more.

Still, this collaboration is getting more and more disappointing by the day. Idk how stays can still support it when there hasn't been one good thing about it. Not one but two whole zionists in the credits, puth has been saying and doing disgusting things for years, he barely acknowledged the song, doesn't seem to care about it and he is already posting about his upcoming single and album. I haven't listened to the whole song, but judging by the teasers, it sounds like the most basic puth song ever, skz are more than capable of making amazing songs without leeches like him.

I haven't watched the intro but that sounds really sad. One of the main reasons skz gained so many fans is the fact that 3racha are the main producers and songwriters. They follow their own path and have their own distinct sound. So to think such a bland artist like puth is the only way skz can get recognition in the usa makes no sense to me. Especially since they're already very big there, they're already gathering stadiums, and all tickets for their day at lolla are sold out. They're headlining at the biggest festivals while puth has been irrelevant for a long time.

It's very valid to be concerned about the direction jype/rr is taking skz. I have no problem with skz trying new sounds, or if they want to release an english song or album, but not how it's happening now. If jype/rr wanted a viral song in the usa so bad they could've done it in better ways.

I saw someone say they made this song in the song camp with puth so I'm little worried that this song might be not the only one, maybe next time it won't have puth as a feature, but still produced by him or that other man.

I never really deep dived into bts, but I liked some of their songs, and around the time butter came out i just lost interest in them tbh. Mostly cuz of the way their fans were acting. The thing about big fandoms like armys and stays is that there are a lot of different people, with different views, yet loudest ones have created a reputation for armys as bullies, racists, sexists and so on. They harass and doxx ppl, they're always up in everyone's business, trending hateful tags, full of akgaes and most importantly have no morals whatsoever. And well this year *someone* is moving exactly the same. And this collab just proves where stays as a fandom are heading. Even tho there's a lot of people who still have morals unfortunately the loudest ones are creating a very negative image for both stays and skz. Btw on twt whenever armys are trying to educate others armys about the hybe boycott they face the same hate and 'yOu ArE aN aNtI yOu ShOuLd lEaVe tHe FaNdOm' as stays do now.

Those big companies almost never prioritise artists and their ideas or fans, they want more money, so they will keep pushing more of what makes them that money. And kpop stans are the perfect audience for this. Cuz at least half is obssesed with their fave to the concerning levels, and companies use that for their own benefit. Bubble, fancalls and etc help to create the illusion that kpop idols are your best friends and boyfriends. Remember how some stays were genuinely upset and heartbroken when Chris "broke up" with them, called him toxic, manipulative, hated him, cried on tt about it, that's not normal. When you're that invested in the parasocial relationship you're gonna end up hurt. Our brains and nervous system are experiencing stress whether it's a real thing happing or just our imagination. It's not healthy to be so dependent on the artist and creating a bond with someone who doesn't know you exist.

And in order to continue living in this imaginary world, people are willing to throw away whatever morals they have left in them. That's why they get so angry when you try to interfere with it, they need their faves to be *perfect*. As much as I love skz, the success of a kpop group will never be more important to me than my own values.

And just a reminder to everyone that if you don't support this collab, it doesn't mean you're sabotaging skz, nor does it make you an anti. If you feel overwhelmed by everything going on in the fandom, it's okay to take a break, it's okay to just enjoy skz's music without obsessing over charts and streams. Just take your time and do what's best for you! 🫂

Revival AU notes/Headcanons part 4

((Are we doing this again? yes we are!

Sorry it’s been awhile since the last one, my computer wouldn’t let Tumblr work anymore, broke my old iPad, opened up my other one, and just got a new computer all set up. My dad’s gonna be using my old Mac Mini until he can get a new one. I’m just glad to be back and writing headcanons for this crazy AU. especially after where I left off last time.

This’ll pick up after what happened in MAR10 Day btw))

** Regarding the stream, and Garcy’s whereabouts, Garcello hides in the park, away from everyone else from Saturday to Sunday, watching the stream

** despite what SMG4 said, Gar can’t keep away from making sure he’s okay, having a feeling he knows what’s he’s going through.

**Sunday night, Meggy finds him, worried out of her mind, as Axol begged her to help him find Garcello.

**the two hug and Meggy takes Gar back to her place to clean up, where Mario’s been staying.

** Mario shows Garcy what the main event was, which hurts to see.

** the others, minus SMG3, show up, see Gar, and hug, thankful he’s okay.

** Meggy, Mario, and the others find out that Garcello’s been keeping an eye on SMG4 via the stream, when Annie asked why, he tells them “I’m worried about him, I’ve seen this behavior before.”

** SMG3 stops by, sees Garcy, and they hug.

** after the upgrades to SMG3, SMG4, Boopkins, and Meggy, along with the takeover from the castle, Gar, Niles, and Axol help, along with Steven and Glitchy Red.

** Niles and Garcy get pulled into the castle with SMG3, Meggy, and Mario.

** During the moments upstairs, after SMG3 laments about how he knows how SMG4′s feeling regarding SMG4′s thoughts, Niles is reminded of what happened in Revelations, wanting the perfect universe, bringing him to tears.

**Three and Meggy comfort him.

** Garcello remembers what happened with Lucks and Sheridan, even himself once, regarding his smoking before he died. He however says nothing.

** During the final encounter with SMG4 while he’s under Winston’s control (I think everyone’s calling the TV Adware creature Winston so I will too) SMG3, Niles, Mario, and Meggy say their pieces, Garcello however tells him he’s been in his position, knowing he has people that care about him, which is more important than any video.

** SMG4 still breaks through in the end.

**Meggy, Niles and Mario escape the castle, Garcello runs back with SMG3 after Four.

** Gar helps the two finish the video

** *the three escape and cling to the side, with Three reminding Four they’re (boy)friends, saving the two.

** Garcello climbs up himself, with Three and Fours help, getting hugged by everyone else.

** In between “It’s Gotta Be Perfect” and “My Roommate Mario” Garcello lets SMG4 stay with him for a week.

** During that week, SMG4 is apologetic for what he said while crazy on MAR10 Day, and keeps trying to make up for it throughout the week. This includes doing the chores all over the house, making dinner, and kinda overworking himself again.

** Garcello does intervene and just hugs him, explaining he knows what he went through again.

** their interaction during this: SMG4: Gar, I... I hurt you... why don’t you hate me? Garcello: .... Four... I know you weren’t in the right state of mind. SMG4: .... I wish I could take it back... *clings to him* you’re my friend... *tears up* .... I’m glad to have you in my life Garcy... I’m so sorry! *SMG4′s crying and clinging to him* Garcello: *holds him, let’s him cry*

**Garcello does forgive SMG4, by the two having a rap battle. Four accepts.

** Fun times all around.

** The guys all settle in to the Showgrounds.

((now onto other important matters))

** as of March, SMG1 and SMG2 are now engaged to be married

** the other engaged couples know 3 and 4 are next.

** Terrance and Eggdog seem to cuddle with SMG3 while he sleeps, which he doesn’t mind.

** SMG4 often gets called Jelly Bean by Ruby, mostly because he can be a bean at times.

** much like with SMG1 calling SMG2 Gumdrop thanks to Garcello, SMG3 starts calling SMG4 Jelly Bean, thanks to Ruby.

** SMG1 does get a pet name from Two, that being Bubble Gum (if you think about it, SMG1 kinda looks like a piece of blue bubble gum)

** Because of his “spicy” attitude, SMG4 calls Three “Cinnamon” to be cute. It always makes Three all flustered.

** SMG3 is best Tsundere, change my mind.

** As of the Easter story, Garcello has reunited with Masa

but raon's always had a fiery spirit (exhibit one: constantly got scolded for shoving the same tacky boy over in the playground when they were five) (exhibit two: fought with a classmate over the last doraemon toy and came home with scratches. she won the fight btw) (exhibit three: picked up a guitar in eighth grade and never looked back, much to her mother's chagrin)

she always believed that she was destined for greater things despite the financial limits on her and discovering music felt like the final puzzle piece being slotted into place. "borrowed" instruments from her highschool's run down music room, not that anybody noticed, and taught herself between studying and her part time job at the local convenience store

developed a knack for song-writing and more specifically, music production using youtube videos and free programs though she saved up to buy some proper ones later on, essentially trying to translate her life of poverty into songs. many of them revolve around the hardships of her life and distant relationship with her mother

but yeah eventually graduated high school and told her mom she got into snu for business and management when in reality, it was for music production

ensue very messy argument when she found out which ended in raon running away with what she had saved up from her job to seoul. didn't talk to her again after that until raon found out she passed away

and then gets hit with news that the one of friends she's surrounded herself with is her actual step sister, and then realises with the help of gossip girl that they both like prince charming

no rest for the wicked!!! half loves half hates the attention on her - love because she likes to pretend to the world she has a strong front and nothing can sway her, hates because she actually does not have that strong of a front

just trying to get through university and graduate with a decent job at a music studio or big shot entertainment company, but if she can make some mess whilst she's here she might as well

character wise she's very entitled, genuinely believes she has a gift that nobody else does and that because she's gone through a life of poverty and struggles, she "deserves" good things to happen to her more than anyone else

which is why she's very determined to make sure prince charming is hers at the end - why should her sister whose lived a life of luxury get the first pick in a relationship, too?

takes a lot of pride in her music and works very hard, essentially a perfectionist when it comes to the stuff she produces so constructive criticism is accepted though not easily, especially if you're someone who isn't in the music field

has a bad habit of mistaking being blunt for being honest, not one to be soft-spoken but does talk quite a lot. initiates conversations most of the time ("hey wasn't that lecture so fucking boring") even if she's never met you before

super flighty as a person though it's unintentional. here one second, gone the next. always looking for inspiration, for something exciting, for someone interesting

Whew! That's a loaded question Anon lol. I feel like I've already kind of shared my opinion about them on here quite a few times. I'm gonna try to get my thoughts together... Cuz it's a lot to say....

Okay, so first of all... I thought they were a real deal couple at first... But based on some of the things I've been seeing lately, Idk.... Something about them seems a bit contrived and smthg seems off about their rlship. 👀 (Don't hate me! Just being honest)

At first, working here at comic pop seemed like a good idea. Twenty-five precent worker discount, and of course the pay check, even tho you spend it as soon as you got it with new comics.

But it's always empty, you get about ten costumers if you're lucky. You do have your usual three nerds from time to time; Henderson, Sinclair, and Wheeler. You only knew them because you see them in the halls. And when they introduced themselves to get your discount.

Today was like any regular old day, got about four new costumer and only two of them actually bought something. Something positive about this job tho is that you can play any music you want as long as it's not too loud and you bring your own record or cassette tape.

As of today you brought your new tears for fears tape. So now here you are at the counter reading a comic that you had bought earlier today. Maybe you should have listened to Robin and work at Family Video with her and Steve. But it's a lot closer to home while family videos is a five minute drive. Which doesn't seem bad.. except for the fact that you don't have a car.

You heard the bell from the door and the autumn breeze, deciding on not looking up knowing it's probably one of your regulars. And it was, well one of them was. You noticed a recognizable blue and white hat, but you didn't recognize the long brown curly hair next to him.

Looking up to see who it is, and it was the infamous Dustin Henderson. But the other two nerds weren't with him. And you recognize that battle jacket vest from anywhere.

Eddie Munson,

he sits behind you in Ms. O'Donnell's. It's only your favorite class because you love writing, but also because it's your last period of the day.

You've never seen him in here before, you didn't even know he read comics. But actually looking at him, he looks like he's here against his own will. They were in the D&D corner where they have dices, comics, and player handbook. You rarely ever see anyone look in that corner except for those three.

"See, I told you they had die's here!" Dustin said looking to see if they had blue and white ones. "Yeah, yeah.." he said folding his arm and looking around.

And then he saw you in the corner with your eyes out of your comic when you realized he cought you; you slower picked up the comic to cover your eyes. She was the real reason why he came to this shop, she's the reason he agreed to drive Dustin here. He never truly understand why he's infatuated by her, he just is.

Like if she's a bright glistening diamond in his cave. Or he's just an idiot and just likes her a lot but didn't realize it. "Bingo." Dustin mumbled under his breath finding the dice in the very back of the stand. He turned to look at Eddie and groaned "dude, just go talk to her! She may look... Actually she doesn't look intimidating at all.." you look like a nerd in general. Comic in your hands and your glasses didn't help.

He bit down his lip trying not to smile at his comment. He cleared his throat shrugging of the nervous feeling he has in his stomach. "Are you ready or what?" He said to the curly haired boy who was glancing inside of a D&D comic. "Yeah, yeah.. I'm coming." He said grabbing the cylinder plastic, with his dice inside and the two comic's in the other hand.

"Your not buying anything?" He asked the brunet. He shook his head, "I have better things to spend my money on." He said putting his arm around his shoulder, so he can put his head in a headlock anytime. You know just Incase if he embarrasses him, just to be cautious!

"Hi Y/nn!" Dustin said sweetly. You sighed already knowing he's gonna ask for your discount "Hi Henderson." You said bluntly, that made Eddie heart skip a beat, he's never heard you so blunt only soft spoken. And he's happy he got to see this side of you. You started scanning his things. He groaned "please let me use your discount!" You gave him a look.

"If I let you use it, your gonna tell the other two nerds. And then with your big mouth my boss will know about it!" You told him as you grabbed a brown paper bag. "I won't tell anyone I promise." He put one of his hands up "scouts honor."

You hummed "let me think about it.. mmmm, no." You told him "it'll be sixteen dollars, I got rid of fifty cents just for you." You said giving a sarcastic smile. As he gave you a confused look "sixteen dollars for two comic books and die's!?"

You nodded "Your die's are ten dollars," he sighed and smiled at Eddie who's arm is still around him. "Hey Eddiee.. can I borrow six dollars!" You chuckled and looked at him.

His face was pink as it was but you looking at him made him turn red. He took his arm off of the boy and looked through his pockets and took out his wallet.

"Oh no it's fine-" you said not wanting the metalhead to go through the trouble. "No, no.. here" he gave you a ten dollar bill. But Dustin mouth went wide "he doesn't have to pay but I do!?" That made you flustered. "I just didn't want him to pay for you that all!" You said in defense.

"Here it's ok, I don't want you to get in trouble with your boss.." he mumbled handing you the ten dollar bill, as you take it. You gave Dustin the bag and got Eddie his change. 'say something, say something, say something-'

"Four dollars is your change." You said giving him the money and the receipt. He took the money and have Dustin the receipt. "I'll see you in O'Donnell's class on Monday?" He asked looking up at you.

You nodded, "I think I should be asking you that." He smiled looking down folding his hands "I'll be there."

While Dustin was just watching the scene in disgust "You guys are weird.." He said walking out of the store, little did Eddie know is that he has his keys.

"Did you start the essay?" You nodded as he leaned on the counter. "Yea I have half of it done already!" His eyes widen a bit "wow you must be really smart then?" You laughed "no I just like to get things done.. did you start it?" He sighed "the first sentence yeah."

You laughed "I can help you if you want-" you got interrupted by a loud honk. "Oh god." Eddie said seeing Dustin in the driver's seat. "You better go before he tries to drive-"

He nodded "I'll see you soon!" He said hurrying out to his car. You watch him pick Dustin up from the seat and saw that Eddie was yelling at Dustin while he was laughing.

"Oh god, what did I get myself into.."

We're picking up after Lucia, after the sex tape was posted to the internet, and the news has spread all over...

Lost in translation: The subtitles can't keep up with all the comments floating across the screen, but they say: "But OMFG I'm dyying!!!" "How will the monarchy survive this?" "Royal porn! 🔥🔥🔥" "Finally some news that puts Sweden on the map! haha!" "Poor boys. Feel sorry for them." "how clumsy to let someone record it! :-)" "The end of the monarchy, time for Sweden to become a republic!" "never been ashamed of being Swedish until now" "I know where he lives! see you there!" "Class traitor! Your mom cries for your sins" "I think the video is fake" "Love to the boys!" "sexiest video the world has seen!"

Lost in translation: And the subtitles can't keep up with the tabloid headlines either, which btw are hilariously close to what the real deal would look like: "Here is the crown prince's boyfriend" "The video that shook the royal family" "All the details about crown prince Wilhelm's new love" "[r]oyal family [i]s crown prince [w]ilhelm gay?" "we want t[o know] [is] it crown [prince] [w]ilhelm in the v[ideo?]"

Subtext: The royal court is very much a PR machine, and here comes the Queen herself to do damage control and to make sure everyone plays their part, including the school.

Culture: All the tabloids are real, except the one that features the story about Wilhelm and Simon. The name of the tabloid, Sett & Hört (Seen & Heard) is a spoof of a tabloid that existed up until a couple of years ago called Se & Hör (See & Hear).

Cinematography: In this nice fixed shot, the Queen starts off in the chair, all business, talking about what Wilhelm must do to manage this scandal, but then she moves to the bed to comfort him and actually be a mom, caring for her son.

Subtext: Note that the Queen isn't opposed to Wilhelm having a relationship with Simon in itself, and it's completely not an issue that Wilhelm likes boys, her main focus is the sex tape and the attention and the PR of the situation.

Blink and you miss it: Simon is casually stroking the picture of Wilhelm.

Subtext: Linda does everything she can to comfort her son, in stark contrast to how little comfort the Queen offered Wilhelm.

Subtext: And here's the main motivation for all of Sara's actions in this episode. She's still wearing the expensive hairpins she got from Felice, she's super happy having made real friends there, and now this scandal might result in her losing all of that, it might force her to go back to her old school where she was bullied, and she really doesn't want to do that.

Culture: Fredrika is talking about how Wilhelm and Simon would be styled if they're married when Wilhelm ascends the throne, but the current real-life king of Sweden is Carl XVI Gustaf, so it makes absolutely no sense that Wilhelm would be Carl XVII, because his name is not even Carl in the first place? I'm guessing the actors are ad-libbing here without knowing how any of this works. (They would be styled King Wilhelm I and Prince Simon, if Wilhelm is the first of his name in this fictional Sweden.)

Subtext: None of the girls are really bothered by the fact that Wilhelm likes boys, and are busy speculating about how this would play out, and the idea that one of them could volunteer to be a surrogate mother to the next monarch is fresh and exciting to them. I will be talking about the actual consequences and possibilities in case the only heir to the throne would be in a same-sex relationship in my next post, because I have a lot more to say about that!

Subtext: Also no homophobia in the boys' house. Walter and Henry are talking about how they should have picked up on Wilhelm and Simon's flirting with each other, while Vincent and Nils are concerned about which asshole took the video in the first place, and August is unusually quiet...

Culture: The Christmas season traditionally starts on the First Advent in Sweden, and in Simon's house we can see they've put up a traditional advent star and a seven-armed candelabra in the window.

Subtext: Everyone at Marieberg recognized Simon from the video, and there's apparently surprisingly little homophobia there as well.

Subtext: Rosh has nothing but contempt for the upper class, and that's the "them" she's talking about here. She's lumping Wilhelm together with the rest of the rich kids at Hillerska, and blames all of them for this happening to her friend.

Subtext: Not even the villain is homophobic! Yes, August's body language tells us that he is incredibly ashamed for leaking the video, but he is also earnest here.

Cinematography: Orange and Teal! But it actually works very well here, Wilhelm seems to almost blend into the background, as if he wants to disappear and be invisible, to not have all this attention on him. But Simon is his colour opposite in this scene, making him stand out 100%, because that's how Simon wants to live his life, fully open and visible.

Subtext: Simon stating the obvious here, it's unfair these two kids have to deal with this situation, only because Wilhelm is royal, but it's not their fault. And this line is also a reminder to us, the audience, that their love isn't wrong in any way.

Subtext: August's idea of helping Wilhelm is to make sure he gets accultured into the upper class, getting him to accept his fate and position as a member of the royal family, instead of actively rejecting the status and the position and wanting to live a normal life.

Subtext: None of the upper class kids give a shit about how any of this affects Simon, which is why August looks confused here. All of their attention is on how this affects Wilhelm, the royal family, and the monarchy, because that's what's important to them.

Subtext: It's important to understand that this scene does not take place in public.
