All dressed up and nowhere to go...

She hoped someone or something would happen to make tonight interesting.

It was 2am, and there was a body in the coat-check room of a fancy hotel. Male, late 30s, a guest of honor for the event, and it certainly wasn't a pretty sight. Many of these well dressed people wouldn't be getting their coats back, as they were covered in... evidence, was the word they should use to describe it. The concerning part was, however, the victim was missing their skull. It looked like their head was a deflated balloon full of blood and muscle. The killer had made an expert, practiced incision on the back of the neck, severed the spine, and somehow removed the skull while leaving the flesh otherwise intact. Fortunately it was done after death... Still terribly messy.

They'd been questioning people for hours now, many of them weren't allowed to leave, including a Chinese woman who seemed rather defensive, moreso than disturbed or afraid of the killer being among the party guests.

"Look, I don't know why I can't just go home. You found the body, you have evidence, it's late. It's enough excitement for one day. No one saw anything, so you take almost a hundred people away from their lives? Come on, you know this is ridiculous." she complained.

She was the coat-check woman, Su. She had gone on break after the guests were done filing in, and was the one to discover the body.
