Nathan Stuart Pinner, 38, of Pickens, SC passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Born in Greenville, SC on February 7, 1985, Nathan was the son of Jay and Dianne Pinner. He is survived by his wife Katelyn and daughters Emery and Brenna Pinner. Nathan was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend.
Nathan graduated from Bob Jones University with a degree in business and afterwards worked in finance and logistics, spending time in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor. In 2020, Nathan began pioneering the emerging watersport of eFoiling on Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee.
His love of the vibrant landscape of the Jocassee Gorges led him to become president of the conservation organization, Friends of Jocassee. Nathan had a cabin near the water and a home overlooking Table Rock. He loved his family and his animals, always dreamed big, and brought people together around a love of good food and deep-rooted friendship. Nathan could often be found in front of his beloved smoker carefully monitoring the perfect steak, building something with his daughters, or out exploring new coves on his eFoil. He is dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In remembrance of Nathan’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Friends of Jocassee here: https://www.friendsofjocassee.org/memorials
