Replaying trials and tribulations I totally forgot that Maya starts shipping Phoenix and Gumshoe together

You think in the 7 month time skip between JFA - T&T, Pheonix confirmed to Maya he was bisexual and now Maya can't stop shipping him with every man he is close with?

I like narumitsu/wrightworth enough but you people need to accept that it’s not that deep compared to the rest of the series. Most of the cool things about it exist only in the fandom.

That said, to help you i have compiled a list of ships that are gayer/more canon than narumitsu/wrightworth, ranked by how gay/arguably canon they are:*

Asoryuu. Do not spoil the rest of tgaa2 for me, but i do know about some things that I haven’t gotten to yet. Anyways i think breaking the boat rules and risking your trip to Britain that you’ve been dreaming of forever in order to bring your childhood friend (for whom you were already about to risk the trip again in order to get him out of murder charges) with you is a bit gayer than starting work in a profession you’re good because you heard that guy you knew in elementary school is a prosecutor now.

Susahao. do not spoil the rest of tgaa2 for me. Anyways if you’ve played it you know what I’m talking about

Aurametis. If you try to tell me that “unnecessary feelings” is gayer or more canon than “her respect as a coworker isn’t all that I wanted” you should maybe see a doctor. This would be at the top of the list if I wasn’t also ranking for sheer gay energy

Shamseki. do not spoil the rest of tgaa2 for me. Anyways see my shamseki post, it’s gotten even gayer as I play through the case. Even if it’s not a true ship, they definitely fucked and soseki was topping

Klapollo. This is more vibes based with only a few lines that actually help it, but holy shit are those vibes there. Especially if you ship narumitsu, then it’s a narrative parallel

Gumwright. The entirety of t&t, maya is just constantly trying to get phoenix to date gumshoe and gumshoe isn’t denying it. My headcanon is that gumshoe told maya he liked phoenix and she’s trying to be his wingwoman

Gumworth. I have to concede that this is actually on the same level of gayness/canon as narumitsu if not slightly less but I’m putting it here because most people assume it’s far lower than that and that’s an injustice to poor gumshoe

look, hear me out. alternate universe, gumwrightworth+magshoe, still lawyers but no 7yr gap. it loosely follows canon but it goes off the rails cause i said so and i don’t want to follow canon.

miles and dick meet early on. miles isn’t out yet and dick helps miles transition and they eventually get together.

several years later phoenix shows back up in miles life and he’s like “holy shit he’s hot” and dick agrees and is like “what if a third” and they invite phoenix into their relationship at some point.

and then maggey’s stuff happens. and dick really loves her, but it’s a separate thing to his love for miles and phoenix. and they come to the conclusion that dick should go for maggey, with the preface that he still is with them and she would know about it.

and she is down. she doesn’t love phoenix or miles like she does dick, but they become close knit. they eventually adopt trucy and maybe some other kiddos and become this big ol’ disaster family. they all love each other even if some of it is platonic and they confide a lot in each other.

i think eventually phoenix would take a break from being lawyer, still consulting but focusing more on art and taking care of trucy. he would come back to it after a few years, but i think he should have some time off.

miles doesn’t disappear off into the abyss and tell everyone he’s dead. he just gets some vacation and therapy like a normal person. i imagine that maggey is a big force in him actually going, like dick and phoenix obviously want him to but she is the one who actually drags him to the appointments. eventually he starts going more of his own volition and he gets the courage to finally get top surgery, at the recommendation of his therapist.

in conclusion, dick and phoenix are the stupid chaos bisexuals to miles’ uptight disaster gay. and maggey is the enthusiastic hot bitch who runs things despite her bad luck. trucy loves her three loser dads and her cool mom.

Phoenix Wright relationship timeline headcanons: (to go along with my Apollo Justice list)

dated Dahlia casually/no formal realtionship

crush on Mia that goes nowhere

crush on Edgeworth

started dating Maya casually, without putting a name on the relationship, at her insistence in between JFA and TT

finally got together and started an informal relationship with Edgeworth in the aftermath of Bridge to the Turnabout.

Phoenix sometimes has throuple dates with Edgeworth and Gumshoe, who had a pre-existing relationship. Phoenix doesn't quite have a stand alone relationship with Gumshoe

started dating Kristoph a few months into the 7 year gap

Phoenix is introduced to Justine Courtney through Edgeworth and they have some casual dates.

Several years into the 7 year gap Phoenix and Ema start having an on again, off again thing resulting from her crush on him.

Phoenix and Iris start dating once Iris gets out of jail

After Phoenix gets his badge back and starts taking charge of the WAA Apollo and Phoenix have some awkward on-again, off again flirtations and interactions that don't count as a relationship.

Phoenix and Diego start a relationship based around hateflirting after Diego gets out of jail.

Maya returns to LA permanently, and Phoenix, Miles, and Maya finally make things more official as a throuple.

Phoenix and Maggey frowned at the sign of Dick in bed. “He’s usually up at this time, isn’t he?” Maggie asked. Phoenix nodded and called out, “Dick?” 

“Yeah?” he replied groggily from under the linens

“Are you alright?” Maggey asked.

“Uh, I dunno pal…” Dick shifted a bit. “I feel pretty tired…” He coughed.

“I’m gonna get a thermometer,” Phoenix said, turning to leave the room. When he got back, he gave the thermometer to Dick. “Put this under your tongue,” he said. When it beeped, Dick took it out, and Phoenix and Maggey went over to see the result. 101 degrees Fahrenheit. 

“You’re definitely sick,” Maggey remarked. “I’ll tell Miles - maybe even get him to take to the day off to spend with you. You both need it.”

Dick loves hugging everyone, but especially his partners. He’ll hug Phoenix from the side when he’s cooking the dishes, embrace Maggey and when she comes home from work, cuddle Miles when they’re watching TV together. Phoenix on the other hand prefers kissing: on the cheeks, on the lips, anywhere he can reach. Miles generally isn’t the sort to initiate this kind of affection, but he’s glad to receive it, and when he does initiate, he usual goes for soft, gentle, languid touches and strokes.

The house is quiet, this Sunday afternoon. Phoenix leans against Mikes as they both read their own books. Maggey is napping on the sofa, and Dick is working on a sudoku in an armchair across from them. It’s a nice kind of quiet, and Phoenix finds himself smiling as he realizes how comfortable he is with this arrangement.

I have a couple charts that I update on occasion, these care there current appearances:

Oh and I should probably explain the colors lol. Blue is I def ship it, Orange is the ship intrigues me or I like it in certain situations and I could be convinced to full on ship it. The one green is Krisnix bc that's fucked up but they definitely have a toxic psychosexual thing going on, sorry, I don't make the rules. We have a pink between Dhurke and Datz bc they seem like codependent besties who have probably made out a couple times. Amara is cool with it. And we have a red line for klavdar bc it defintiely happened but I hate Daryan. Sorry.

As you can tell I am a multishipper and I also happen to be a faqn of polycules. Will I ever write a megacule fic? Maybe. So far the closest I'm getting is Bag-verse which will be Pollycule VS Emacule.

So OTP? If I can only pick two characters I'm going klapollo all the way. They're my boys (gender neutral).

OT3? Claypollier. My boys plus my other boy (gender neutral).

My fav rare pair? Probably Aura/Amara. It's just the biggest power move on Aura's part. Aura are you dating the former queen of Khura'in? And can you imagine it from Simon's perspective? Aura are you dating my partner's mother? Nahyuta finds out and he and Athena start a support group for the children of Aura's partners. Apollo shows up when he starts getting letters from them. Aura takes her role of step mother very seriously (read: she really likes to fuck with them). Rayfa doesn't call into meetings unless she's mad at Aura bc otherwise they get along.

And Aura genuinely likes Amara and helps her through everything. They actually have a lot in common.

So yeah. The real question is how do I tag this? I don't know the majority of the ship names and I'm pretty sure some don't have one. Please let me know if you know one I haven't tagged or if there's an official one if I made one up.
