I just remembered Yao does alchemy. that's why. Fml

i love how Yao was almost completely unchanged from their concept art except 1. in game they have their hair half-up half-down 2. we never got to see them use their prothesis like a blowtorch and for the lack of blowtorch i think we were robbed

but also as someone in skilled trades classes why the fuck do they even NEED a blowtorch. robotic engineers dont fucking need blowtorches you dont fucking. set robots on fire. the only field close to engineering that would need one so readily available (like ON THEIR ARM) are welders. the only reason i could think of why they would even have this would if they did scrap metal burning in the jade brotherhood but thats not even what the brotherhood fucking does with scrap!!!!

They use old parts to make replicas!!! Why the FUCK does Yao have a blowtorch

and like. the engineer profession has a flamethrower

BUT THERE IS A HUGE FUCKING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BLOWTORCH AND A FUCKING FLAMETHROWER.

The biggest pain was probably recreating the symbol from Solar Spear (Spear4) and deciphering what was written so I could get the correct font/type lmao.

I'm trying not to think too hard on the perspective. I've been staring at this too long that I'm just going to let it go... It is what it is now LMAO auuhhh Because I'm never satisfied 😂

Had the recent pleasure to paint this heroic pair - a charr Deadeye and his asura Mechanist companion. Loved painting these two!
