HOW TO CHOOSE THEMES AND TYPES OF DISSERTATION ACCORDING TO YOUR OBJECTIVES
The dissertation is the act of making an oral presentation in public. Generally, the dissertation has the main objective of exposing a specific topic, informing or explaining the reasoning of a subject or topic of general discussion. It is important to note that the dissertation is also known as "oral presentation" and there are various topics and types of dissertation that can be applied.
Normally, people presenting and write my dissertation usually use various types of support tools, such as: visual plates, graphic media, sound amplification, and visual and auditory effects and the topics to be discussed have been previously studied.
An example of a dissertation is when in a beauty salon they have decided to do a dissertation on beauty, to update stylists regarding new hairstyling techniques.
TYPES OF DISSERTATION
There are different types of dissertation, among which are:
1- The conference
It is characterized by being a formal dissertation, it focuses on dealing with topics such as legal dissertation, contamination dissertation, Kant's philosophical dissertation, among other topics.
Furthermore, it is considered one of the most effective types of dissertation and / or exposition in terms of communication. This method is commonly intended to report, fix a problem, or make updates on a specific topic.
A conference usually lasts approximately 60 minutes and uses technical language, where the receiver of the message remains passive and silent. It is important to highlight that in this dissertation the lecturer can read instead of improvising, this is due to the depth and seriousness of the issues that will be developed.
2- The Discourse
It is the most formal type of dissertation. It is used to convince your listeners or the audience of some ideology. Here you can see an example of a philosophical dissertation, where the speaker intends for people to consider their point of view or system.
It can last up to three hours and the language used is literary.
Generally the speech can be read, memorized or in this case improvised. For this reason, the use of audiovisual support is not allowed, since it is more spontaneous.
3- The talk
The talk is a type of dissertation that, like the previous two, is done orally in front of an audience or with more than three people. However, unlike the conference and the speech, the talk is informal.
In the talk as a dissertation, the communication process is more fluid, because it involves an exchange of ideas between the sender and receiver of the message.
It is considered a perfect example of how to make an entertaining dissertation, where everyone participates and has the right to speak. It usually lasts a few minutes, between 30 and 45. In addition, colloquial language is used and the exhibitor can count on various types of support tools; including blackboards and laptops.
PARTS OF THE DISERTATION
All the dissertations, including the written dissertation, have a series of parts that must be fulfilled in order to get the message across correctly for essay, without it being tedious, but in turn the message being perceived as desired.
The parts of the dissertation are:
It consists of choosing the topics for dissertation that will be exposed, in addition, determining what it will be and where you want to go with that topic. However, it is very important to know a little about the audience that will be present, such as age, level of knowledge, among others.
The presenter must compile all the information he plans to present. In addition, experts recommend making a kind of map where you organize your ideas.
Depending on the type of dissertation, you can write a script that guides the speaker.
Conduct essays prior to the dissertation. For example, the tone of voice (in case of not counting audio tools), also correct posture and body movement before the presentation.
DISERTATION STRUCTURE
Basically all the presentations are made up of three fundamental components that make up the structure of the dissertation.
1. Introduction
The presentation is the first thing that is done in the dissertation. Here the exhibitor must be extremely careful, since, when leaving and giving the first words, it is the first thing that his listeners will catch.
There are two types of entries: the first is casual, where the speaker can start with a greeting and giving a reference to the topic to be covered (used in dissertations such as speech); the second ticket is formal and is used in conferences or in presentations that merit it.
It should be noted that this is the crucial part of a dissertation because the presenter must get the attention of the listeners and above all arouse curiosity in them, about what awaits them.
2- Development or outcome
Here everything previously planned is carried out, according to what the parts of the dissertation establish.
The ideas are developed in a logical way, guiding listeners with examples and leaving them reflections on the subject. Always with the focus of keeping the audience attentive.
For example, if this is a dissertation on fish, a potential question might be: What are the currently endangered fish ?, the speaker can leave his listeners thinking and in sequence gives them the answer.
3- Conclusion
This is the last part in a dissertation. The conclusion seeks to synthesize or emphasize the central ideas of the developed topic.
Basically, it is a summary where the most relevant points are highlighted. That is, if, for example, it was a dissertation on the lion, the summary would deal with what is its habitat, food, years of life, among others.
In the event that it has been on topics and types of dissertation, the speaker can make an account of everything and emphasize the points that most interested the public.
