Guangzhou Autumn Adventure 2019

During my recent business trip to Guangzhou in Dec-2019, I managed to take a few moments to visit some key attractions in the city and to admire its autumn beauty.

1. Sacred Heart Cathedral.

A beautiful architecture which attracts tourists from all around the world to marvel at its magnificent splendor.

2. Temple of the Six Banyan Trees.

The nine-story Flower Pagoda is definitely a sight to behold in a serene environment hidden in the bustling city.

3. Shamian Island.

The moment you step into Shamian Island, you are transported to a little town in Europe where the locals enjoy the finer moments in life, taking time to relax in parks and cafes while admiring the scenery move slowly pass them. 

4. Guangzhou Cultural Park.

Located near to Shamian Island, visitors to the park can spend time with loved ones and family members to take lots of photos with the beautiful floral displays. 

5. Canton Tower and Huacheng Square.

A visit to Guangzhou is not complete without making a quick pit stop at Huacheng Square to visit several landmarks in the city including Canton Tower, Guangzhou Opera House, and International Finance Center.

Honorable mention goes to XIAO-MIAN (遇见小面) which is a restaurant chain serving delicious noodles and appetizers from Chongqing. I guarantee you that it will be one of the most memorable and most affordable meal that you can get in the city, with a bowl of noodles costing CNY 24 and a plate of potstickers going for only CNY 9.
