Hello friends, I finished the first prototypes of a new project!

A few things still need adjustments (mostly concerning printing and especially the cutting process) but I hope you can already enjoy the preview of these little critter bookmarks!

The concept for these was to have the tassel be a part of the animal, like the feather crest for the grey heron and anchiornis, the ribbon eel's nostrils and the shrimp's antennae c:

wanted to share some of my bird art i made before coming to tumblr! i’m a huge bird fan <3 some of them were either made digitally, with acrylic paint, colored pencil, or pencil. the heron mosaic piece was actually made with cut construction paper!

Another example of things that don't work as planned in the life of a bird photographer. This heron was posing perfectly on the branch of a tree, but then the bird decided to fly away and I just wasn't fast enough to change my zoom. Well, at least the first three pictures are quite good. The last one is again in the category of bird feet of birds that flew off.
