Thank you honestly. I always feel petty and awful and ungrateful when it comes to the whole dubbing issue, but the fact is some of the people who take the art don’t even care about the artist, it’s not about sharing the art to more people because if that were the case the least they can do is credit but that’s too much to ask. I’m glad people like my art but it does hurt when they couldn’t care less about the person who made it. It’s been comforting knowing I’m not the only one going thru it but also I feel sorry for everyone who has to deal with this too and feel bad for feeling that way. It should be a fun collab kinda thing not whatever it’s become lately.

I was denied medically from the job I wanted can I get some cute Ann Ness and Gregory movie night in Freddy's content to make me feel better
I’m so sorry, friend, that really sucks. Here’s some tooth-rotting fluff that hopefully makes you smile! Takes place in some sibling AU adjacent universe where everything is lovely and nothing hurts.
All is Well
Vanessa was never really sure if she liked Movie Mania at the pizzaplex. The event took place one weekend a month where the biggest screen she’d ever seen in her life was put up over the stage in the atrium and the massive room plus both mezzanines were filled to the brim with children. It was a Saturday to Sunday ordeal, movies lasting late into the night with the majority of participants sleeping over.
Because on the one hand—good golly was the special overtime pay for Movie Mania worth it. But on the other—so. many. kids. Snot-nosed brats galore and their parents. She’d taken the night shift for a reason, y’know? No customer service necessary.
She and two dozen other employees ran the whole shindig, so at least she wasn’t alone. And they got to use the dorm-esque rooms in the basement, which were equipped with (actually rather comfy) bunk beds, so it wasn’t like they were breaking their backs from sleeping on the floor. The animatronics stayed upstairs, ready to call in human reinforcements if something happened, which made it a win-win for everyone.
(She had significant reason to believe that Gregory ditched the party and slept in Freddy’s green room every time he attended, but she had no proof. Freddy wasn’t talking, and Gregory only ever gave her sly but oh-so-innocent smiles. Anywhere outside the atrium was out of bounds for guests during the sleeping portion of Movie Mania, but Vanessa knew all too well that her gremlin little brother had all the bots wrapped around his little finger.)
Tonight might not be as exhausting as previous events, though, because for once, Vanessa had a guest with her. And she herself was technically a guest for the Saturday portion, though she would uniform-up if she had to.
Yawning, Vanessa slumped further down in the padded booth she had reserved for her and Annie long before the doors had opened. Like hell were they gonna sit on the floor. Her joints would murder her if she tried.
Annie sent her a grin. “Tired already, Grandma?” she whispered. Back to the Future played across the screen in front of them, larger than life. “You got an eight o’clock bedtime?”
She made a face and let her head flop onto Annie’s shoulder. “You joke,” she shot back, not really having to worry about being quiet with how loud the movie was, “but these brats are gonna start waking up at six, and it’s all downhill from there.”
“Ah, the joys of youth.”
“Honestly. Do you have any idea how glad I am that Gregory likes to sleep in?”
Annie chuckled and leaned her head against the top of Vanessa’s. “You say that like I’m not just as glad as you are.”
Vanessa snorted. “Oh yeah, you’re there too.” Turning to press her cheek a little more firmly against Annie’s shoulder, she sighed. “At least you get up at a reasonable hour. ’Cause I sure as hell wouldn’t feed Mr. Bottomless Pit breakfast if it was left to me.”
“He’d go feral, probably,” Annie mused. “Maybe break into our neighbors’ room and steal their snacks.”
Vanessa fake shuddered, stifling her laughter. If Gregory got hungry enough and neither she nor Annie were up to obtaining him food, she had no doubt that he’d manage to charm his way into getting one of their fellow dorm residents into doing it instead. Munchkin had mastered his puppy-dog eyes long before he came to live with her.
Speaking of…
Vanessa sat up, patting Annie when she whined over being abandoned, and peered around the room. The massive movie screen lit up the multitude of faces in the dark, but it wasn’t necessary to scan them for her brother.
All she needed to do was find Freddy.
She spotted his glowing eyes off to the side, where he could make a subtle getaway if he had to. A bunch of other kids were gathered around him, though Marty McFly held their attention, but only one kid ever got the coveted position of sitting on Freddy’s lap.
Gregory was periodically looking down at his phone, so he and Freddy and maybe even the other animatronics were all texting. He’d seen Back to the Future before, so she couldn’t really blame him for not being too interested. Nonetheless, he looked relaxed and not like he was about to go cause trouble, so she slumped back down next to Annie.
“All is well?” Annie asked. They shuffled around, tangling themselves together on the wide bench. You were never too old for cuddles, especially not during a movie.
“All is well,” Vanessa said, eyes falling half-lidded. So maybe she was a little more tired than she’d admit. Something about Movie Mania—with the flickering darkness, the atmosphere that came with a couple hundred people packed together in surprising peace, and the rumbling surround sound—made it easy to drift in that warm place between true sleep and full wakefulness.
Okay, and maybe being with one of her favorite people in the whole world helped.
