Green Day. [pt. 1] Green Day closed out of the evening for the Saviors Tour hometown lineup. Saviors Tour also featured The Linda Lindas, Rancid, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Some of the best rock groups for the generations performing at Oracle Park in San Francisco, CA.

I've been a Green Day fan for a long while now. I'm as old as the band now--not the band members, hahaha. My first Green Day show was actually right here in Oracle Park (nee AT&T Park) in September of 2004. I was up front of the stage with my mom. American Idiot tour. It was wild. I must've been 14 going on 15 that year. This is a band that's close to home for me because my family's roots started in the East Bay area.

And a INSANE amount of kudos to whoever was in charge of designing and building that set! I could only imagine how insanely amazing it looks closer to the stage. WOW.

Slides 8-10: A group of Green Day fans, @gdsaviorsproject, were handing out paper heart-hand-grenades to put up to our phones' flashlights. The effects were stunning. Just a sea of greens, pinks, and white lights in the crowd. 🩷💚😌

Slide 9: The couple smooching in the crowd... Good on ya, darlings! 🥰 Haha. I didn't realize I caught this moment! They were highlighted so distinctly in the audience. (Someone else taking a photo?)

This year marked a few milestones for the band. Green's American Idiot turned 20-- TWENTY! And Dookie had turned 30! Isn't that wild? To think, in another 10 years, they'll be celebrating Savior's 10 year anni., Dookie's 40th, and American Idiot's 30th. HAhAHA! I'll stop. I'll stop. 😂
